I was told if I renewed my policy by a certain date I would receive a $50 Home Depot gift card. I renewed and I have never received a card. I was told by Adele in their company that my paperwork was correct and I would receive the card February 5, 2008 but it never came. They are now telling me that it was "denied" and that they will NEVER give me my card, although my paperwork was correctly submitted. Adele misrepresentated herself as a manager. I have never received a telephone call back from anyone in the company. I have been put on hold for 30 minutes and longer with no one ever coming to the phone. I have been told names of managers, and later told they are not managers. I have been lied to by the company and want my Home Depot card or a complete refund. They use the technique of intimindating customers.

National Home Protection should be investigated for the following reasons: 1. Failure to comply with there agreement to provide a $150 Home Depot gift card when signing up for a three year contract. 2. sending automatic emails stating I will receive the gift card in 7 to 14 days. This has gone on for months. 3. Refusing to return calls or to explain why I have not received the rebate. 4. An investigation should be made regarding their training program that encourages employees who handle the phones to play the con game that apparently is consistent throughout the company. Consumers should have recourse with Insurance companies that take money but fail to up hold their end of the contract. This company is a scam and they hire employees that are willing to go along with their fraudulent practices.
Home Depot should be informed that their connection with this company makes them appear to have some complicity in NHP fraudulent practices.

I too, have been given the run around. I was told I would receive a $50.00 Home Depot card. I have followed up and have been given the same old statement. I was told that I submitted my letter to soon and would not recieve my card. I have asked to speak to the manager and been placed on hold. I have never been treated like this by any company.

I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General, State of New York, and encourage everyone else ripped off by this fraud to do the same. This company has over 400 consumer complaints on file in the last 12 months. After purchasing one of their plans, I made a single claim for service on a dryer, got the long waits on the phone, ambiguous information, and finally outright denial. They have no intention of honoring their policies. Here is the Attorney General info:
