terminating life insurance coverage
we took out this $25, 000 life insurance policy in May of 2011 and we paid $34.50 a month since then.
t received a letter that they are terminating our coverage with (Companion Life, a division of Cinergy) because NCE 's coverage with them is terminating on April 14, 2015.
We paid a total of $1, 621.50 to this company and they are not even offering any amount of refund.
While this may be "legal", it is totally and morally wrong. It is nothing short of stealing.
What, if anything, can be done?

CUSTOMER (non) SERVICE
I was warned ny my insurance company that cancelling my policy through my old broker the NCE would be difficult. They asked that I send them copies of everything I emailed and let them know where I was in the process so they could keep an eye on it because they often have issues with them complying in a timely fashion. On 12/14/09 we recieved a letter from NCE stating that the State of NY had issues orders that American Medical Life Insurance Co., the insurance company that underwites the health plan, will discontinue offering it's insurance to members that reside in the State of New York, effective 1/1/2010. My complaint is that this is not adequate notice! There must be statutory non-renewal -and/or cancellation provisions governing this type of action. Further, I have attempted numeruos times to contact NCE but to no avail. Nobody returns any calls. They are just avoiding the matter. We are in need of replacing the coverage and should be given adequate time to do so.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
