TrainPetDog review: Scam 55

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

On Sept 23, 2008 payment was processed for $37.00. Recieved notification via e-mail that I would received username and password with 24 hours to access the website. It is now October 18, 2008 and I have yet to received anything from this website. I have sent numerous e-mails asking for a refund and have again received no response from anyone.

I believe this website is a scam and unfortunately I became one of their victims.

Your promotional video implied there would be training specific to my dog's breed and multiple topics I could go to immediately. There's very little content online. Oversold and underdelivered.

I wish that I found this blog sooner... I am also being swindled out of $168.97. After accessing the website as a member, I was dissatisfied with the content and immediately canceled my membership. I did receive a cancellation confirmation but they touted that they offered a full money-back guarantee within 30 days if not satisfied with the service. Of course, I cannot speak with an agent, and NO ONE is responding to my repeated emails or phone calls. I could kick myself for not investing in the site prior to falling for this scam.

Don’t buy anything from this site, its a fake although it looks legit. Nancy richards may be a dog trainer but this site is definitely a scam and takes your money without giving you any dog training book or whatever it promised. One of the ways I found out was because of the photos from one of the reviewers, I thought to myself how fake this guy looked and how it looked like a stock photo, turns out it was I reverse imaged searched and 4 results of this guy came up from different sites proving this was a stock photo.

I didn't know realize I was running into their traps until teh last minutes: i was still in 1 of the 4 steps to confirm my order online, my credit card has been charged twice - $67 and $101.95. I was immediately looking all over trying to find their contact phone #, which ended up nothing. Then i found this webpage at my Google. As my last resort, I had to call my credit card company to stop the payments. They told me they had to destroy credit card and issue a new one to me. I had to agree to do so.

I'm actually about to sign up as it looks promising based on their email plus video ads they have. It is convincing that they are actually a real pro. Until I searched for more reviews on their web and brought to my attention all the reviews i scanned below. Yes you are right after reading all the negative comments here, i don't want to take the risk and thanks i am off the bait.

I also have a goldendoodle.

You better not! It looks good. Yes, it does! However, if you read the fine print (I am assuming it must be there). They forget to mention you will have a recurring charge each month, and if you are even able to login to cancel it, that would be news to me. I signed up. I thought I had downloaded the book tailored specifically for my dog breed (our phones are listening), not only that, but then the next morning at 5am (this is how I know they are listening to everything). They knew I had to travel out of town to a doctor's appointment, where I would need to use my debit card. I stopped to get gas, and it doesn't work! I check my email, and my bank had put a fraud alert on my card for the 67 dollars because it is a scam over seas. Knowing I need gas and was going to need to use my debit card that day, I agreed that I had initiated the payment. They never told me it was recurring! So, after several charges and I can not get in touch with the company I finally had to cancel my debit card! Talk about an expensive training course that as far as I can tell doesn't even exist!

PPl I logged into Trainpetdog.com and dogtraininginstitute.com, so far they both look legit. However I am not sure what will happen to me after I get monthly charges. I'll see if it's a scam or not, If it is I'll contact my cc and put a stop.

I was duped also. All this Nancy Richards from this company did was send me free YouTube videos from k9 training institute. I reached out to them (k9ti) asking what my money was supposed to get me because their emails just want me to purchase more training videos. They have no records of my purchase and after further conversation they aren’t even affiliated with this Nancy Richards from dogtraininginstitute nor trainpetdog. So it’s basically a person taking your money to send you free YouTube videos from k9 training institute. Or they are all affiliated because it’s a scam and they are covering each other’s butts. Either way stay away

I subscribed to the mailing list which led me to the training course! I was thinking about purchasing and decided at the last second to try to go to their website it wasn’t theirs it was another animal lovers website. I tried to leave and it kept taking me back to order so then I copied and saved everything.. It’s sad that people do this..

I would like to cancel "trainpetdog".com. I have a bill on my card for $101.95 and another one for $37.00. Please cancel my account and do not charge anything else to my credit care. I wish I had read all the above before I signed up. My fault--old lady at 82. I have tried calling your phone numbers and they are always busy. Thanks, for a lesson well learned. I did get a printed book, tho and thank you. afwwheels@aol.com.

I am a real dog trainer who teaches American Kennel Club (AKC) Training. I tried to reach out to this so called "Dog Training Institute" and they refused to respond to me. Anyone who tells you that you can housetrain your puppy in 6 days or any other unbelievable rot is lying to you and is just trying to get your money..
Dog training, including housetraining takes time, patience, and repetition, along with lots and lots of praise, (not treats).

Hello
I kept getting email messages from them with lower fees daily. I paid a one time $67 and didn't fall for their other more expensive sales pitch. However, how can I tell if it's a scam? Should I stop my cc and cancel the so called one month free subscription!

I researched this supposed dog training site because of their initial approach. Just didn't sit well, especially when they want to suck you in with a long video. It appears that the only way to stop further charges will have to be done through your card company. Take this as a costly lesson and research everything offered on the internet. There is a growing number of scams through email and search results There is a good site address - totalscam.com They don't ask anything from you, and they work hard to uncover and make known new scams as they come up. You can also check sites through their site and resources on how to recognize and avoid scams from online to phone, and mail scams. Be careful scammers are heartless and only have one thing in mind----your money.

I'm very glad I looked up "Nancy Richards dog training" in my search engine and found so many sites stating how this is a scam. Shame on them! Thank you to everyone who comments on this! Please do your research before purchasing anything on the internet. Our planet seems to have a thriving quantity of cons, scams, and rip-off artists. Thieves who prey on good, honest, hard-working people. Karma is a ### and she's going to hunt you down!

I responded to the offer of the free emails to housebreak my German Shepherd. I receive one email a day with tips to housebreak her. I used the tips and in one week she was trained. The free tips are very useful and make perfect sense. I too was about to buy in to the $37 scheme. Sorry to hear this is a scam. I loved the free emails, they were very informative. Figured the training program would have been too.

The advert appeared on Facebook - in particular "potty training"! for Maltese Poodles in early December . I requested the first part of the story at 19 dollars odd (a lot of money at this point in S. Africa's situation) thinking I would assess the situation and decide if there was sufficient info to participate. The emails kept coming and I looked at a few and there is nothing in them but "waffle" telling you how wonderful the results are but NO actual info. I sent an email to them on the 30th December saying this was a hoax and did not expect to hear any more. I have now discovered that
they informed me by email that I have joined the club @ 37.dollars and are sending me more waffle. I have also had to cancel my credit card. JUST A RIP OFF it seems.

I was about to sign up and pay, when I looked it up and it immediately showed up as a SCAM. That really saved me. I am disabled and on disability income and couldn't afford a loss. They give you a "special offer" urging victims with a deadline to hurry for such a "bargain". This should be a dead giveaway being so high pressure.

A tip for anyone before buying something off the internet always look at the web address on the payment page.. It should always start with "http/www." Never "www." This is a tattletale sign of a scam! Thank goodness I did research on this what seemed to be amazing break through to help train my 3 month old German Shepard become a perfectly mannered dog. The nerve of these people, taking advantage like this. You should always research things like this. Simple and takes only seconds. I googled "Nancy Richards online dog training" and it came up with RIPOFF right away!

Sorry you were ripped off but please don't blame America for your bad luck. I, too, fell victim from this scam, but upon calling my bank to stop all future charges, I was told that the first attempt to charge my credit card came out of the country of Cypress and was refused as my bank er said they do not ever do business with Cypress due to the high amount of fraud. The second attempt to bill my card was attempted in India, as I guess they understand that many banks know not to do business with Cypress. So, it looks like more of an International scam, not just U.S., but even so, if I had been ripped off by a company in your country, I would never think to blame your entire country, nor would I wish ill upon your economy. G'day, mate.

There's a site dedicated to information about this scam:
http://www.nancyrichards.org

It should help people stay away from the dog training institute scam sites IF they do a simple search before they purchase products.

But sometimes we forget...

It IS possible and worth trying to get your money back by writing a letter to Nabanipa Roy in India (as mentioned in the terms of the site).
I DID receive a refund within one or two weeks after sending the letter.
