Mustardsandwich.net review: Stay away from online puppy pushers 8

Discovered this was a puppy mill after I adopted a puppy that cost me 600 dollars. I adopted this puppy in 2008 and he was a sick boy came with a hernia and an old fracture of his leg. He is now 5 and doing well. Stay away from online puppy pushers. Adopt from your local shelters. Also avoid rescues from out of your state. So many people call themselves rescues because they go out of state for dogs on death row and are bringing them into New Jersey at large amounts daily. They have foster homes that are holders of large amounts of dogs and cats it takes forever to adopt from the!

Yes, this is a fraudulent organization that poses as a rescue but breeds dogs for profit. I do not know if the puppies are treated well or badly, but they lie about many things in addition to what they are about. Ten years ago we "adopted" a puppy from mustardsandwich that we thought we were rescuing from the street, and paid a hefty "adoption fee". She was "delivered" earlier than she was supposed to be, and was taken from her mother too young. I think that may be why she was so incredibly fearful of thunder, etc. for many years. They promise that the babies they deliver are trained and and also trained to ride nicely in a car, which is a ridiculous and not true. Our dog is NOTHING like the Corgi mother that she allegedly was birthed by. Is probably a beagle-pointer mix. Re: the "delivery", we were told to meet Victoria over an hour north of our home as she traveled from the south "because there was a dog run there" and coming closer to our home was apparently too much trouble for her. However she was also more than 5 hours late, so after waiting for hours (with another duped family that was also told to meet her in at the same out-of-the-way spot) we returned home where she eventually met us. I'm sure some of their dogs are great, and some much less so. But regardless, this is a bad place to get your pup. Rescue a dog from a legitimate shelter that knows your dog and will tell you the truth!

I adopted a puppy from them once over a year ago. She had round worms to where I had to get her medicine from the vet. She was a very good puppy. I do believe that mustardsandwich was not an adoption but a puppy mill. Dogs that come from a shelter don't have parasites or worms as they are going home, but are better taken care of. Plus, you don't spend a lot of money buying a puppy let alone pay them to deliver the puppy.

I did adopt a dog from a real shelter for $16, and he had no health problems or worms.

MustardSandwich is indeed a puppy mill, or selling puppies from a puppy mill. They pose as a resuce and are not legit. They came to a local business over the weekend and posed as "I Wag Rescue", A resuce, in a stretch white limo. Take a look at their FB page and the people associated with it. They show puppies that will be ready in 2 weeks...but thought it was a rescue? You just call, pay online, and they show up in a limo! There's even a waiting list. PUPPY MILL! PUPPY PUSHERS! Adopt at a shelter people!

We adopted "Spencer", who is now "Tater", on March 29th 2008. He is a wonderful little guy with a ton of personality! Tater is pretty calm most of the time, but loves to show off his puppy spunk every now and then. The kids think he is their play mate and surprisingly, the puppy has an abundance of tolerance toward them. He has made friends with all of the dogs in our family, all of our neighbors, and every stranger has to stop to ask about him. We have been telling everybody about Mustard Sandwich and even got a co-worker to adopt a puppy the week after we got Tater. (she is doing fantastic and the new owners love her to pieces!)

I could not be happier with MUSTARDSANDWICH.NET where I found little Biscuit! She is SO smart and SO sweet- the perfect blend of playful and mellow. She and my Jack Russell Cooper are already BEST friends and love to wrestle on the carpet in the living room of my house- they are about the same size now so its pretty cute and they are having so much fun! She loves to jump off the couch and pounce on him and then flip on her back and bite his back legs... they are both soooo happy! They also both LOVE squeaky toys and doing "zoomies" around the house. She hasn't had any accidents in the house and is excellent about going potty right away when she goes outside. She has done great in a large crate overnight- she gets free choice dry food until 5pm and then the water comes away at 7. I let her out between 9-10pm and then she is good til I get up around 4:15 (and was even fine til 6:30am on Sunday when I slept in!). She learned her name the first afternoon and always comes when I call her. She is already excellent off leash and is always looking at me to check in. She definitely knows what "NO" means (as in, NO... please don't chew the dining room chair leg... ) and is excellent at sitting. She walks super on a leash- she came to the tack store with Cooper and I on Sunday and was a huge hit with all the girls that work there (Cooper is a bit of a celebrity on his own and has a huge fan club, so you can imagine how excited they were to see that he has a sister!). The farm isn't as beautiful now as it is in the summer, but I attached a few photos of her- the ones with the horse were from today and it was her first hack with me on my horse. Its awesome having Cooper to show her the way and how to act around the horses. She normally stays in the tack room while I am riding and then I try to have her out as much as possible through the day. As soon as the busy time stops (early afternoon) she is out for the rest of the day with me doing chores and taking care of the horses. She is curious and a little afraid of them- which is perfect as she is keeping her distance! As I said before, I couldn't be happier with her- she has such a gentle and sweet soul and an incredible will and aptitude to please. Thank you so much for all you do and for helping us find each other!
Happy New Year!
-Ashley

I got my dog from them in 2010 and she was fine. I got her as a puppy and she did very well with my cats and my small child I had no health issues and it was a very pleasant transactions. Mustardsandwhich.net saves dogs FROM kill shelters!
