In august of 2007, I called the company and ask for a different, they told me that they would give me one, the customer rep went ahead and told me that he would change my payment date so that I would be able to pay my payment on time which would allow me not to have a late payment for that month that I was going to be behind, he never told me that what he was doing was a forbearance... I paid my payment every month on the new date that they gave me only to find out that he did not actually change my date what he did is whats called a forbearance, this show me making partial payment when I was making my current payment and then they had the nerves to report me late the government need to do some thing about this and all those companies who take advantage of consumer. I only found this out when I went to refinance my mortgage and was told that I was showing partial payment on my account. after calling ASC they claim to have sent paper work out informing me of what they are doing , which they did not these people are ruining people credit by not informing them of what they are doing to. They need to be stopped. I hope someone out there who had this similar situation will let me know what to do.
