Dear Readers,
The worst thing I could have done for my wedding was to use MOONSTRUCK PRODUCTIONS as my videographer! When I received my DVD I cried for hours! The only request I made was that they interview my parents! Obviously they did not and to make matters worst the DVD was sloppy! I could have done it myself and it would have been 10 times better! Moonstruck Productions was the worst $2100 dollars I have ever spent in my life! I recommend going with someone who a friend or family member has already used before.

MP recognizes the right of any individual to voice their opinion about our service and is sympathetic to the feelings expressed by the Client (Beckers). However, we also must point out the facts behind the complaint.

MP does not offer any type of guest interview service as part of any package or contract. The request to interview family members is considered a “Special Request” and was made by the Client a couple weeks prior to the wedding. MP told the Client that we would try to accommodate the request but would not guarantee that the request would be made.

The Client contacted MP about the interviews after the wedding day was over and was informed the parents had not left a message. The Client was upset and, even though there was absolutely no contractual responsibility, MP offered to setup a time to travel to the parents' homes and interview them at no additional charge. The Client was happy to hear this and said she would set up the times and dates for the interviews. The Client then emailed MP a few days later and informed MP that the parents declined to be on camera claiming that they were no longer “in the moment”.

We must point out to any bride that the idea of on-camera interviews is difficult because many times people do not want to be on camera or put on the spot to leave a message. We suggest using photo booths, video booths or guest books to allow your guests to leave you personal messages on their own time without feeling obligated to do so.

During the contract process, the Client had viewed the demo DVD, met with an MP representative to ask questions and viewed an actual full-length DVD. The execution of her contract and the content of her final DVD was no different than what she was shown during the contract process.

Obviously those people who are upset with a company or service will stand out more than those who have been happy with the company or service. It is extremely unfortunate that this Client feels so negatively about her experience with MP. Especially since she was very happy at the end her wedding day giving a hug to the lead videographer that night and offering her thanks. Her entire negative feedback is based solely on the lack of the parent's interviews which was offered a fix by MP and declined by the Client.

If you are considering MP to capture your wedding and have any doubts due to this complaint, we encourage you to stop by the studio and meet with us in person. We will be happy to give you names and contact information of many happy customers who are more than willing to tell you about their positive experience with MP. We will also be happy to share with you this particular Client's full-length DVD and let you decide for yourself the quality of the video. If meeting us in the studio is difficult, send us an email with your name, wedding date and the word “Beckers” in the subject line and we will send you a link to the online highlight film that was created for this Client.
