I would like to complain about the way that the manager sandra at molly maids cleaning company in wimledon surrey treats her staff. I booked a clean with molly maids a week ago, the girls came, 1hour late. I was very cross as i clearly stated to sandra that i needed an early clean as i was going out late morning. The girls were very sorry, and explained about what they have to do in one day. We all got talking and they told me a bit more than they maybe should have. I was absoloutly discusted! The girls clean up to 6 houses a day, and sometimes only earn £28! They start at 8.30 and dont get home untill 6-7pm most nights because they travel all the way from wimbledon to places like fulham, chiswick, brentford! They dont get no luch break, they dont even earn a set hourly rate, they dont earn the same everyday. They dont get sick pay, get moaned at if their day hasnt gone as the team in the office had organised. girls get sacked if they are not liked for any reason by the manager sandra, and the most disturbing one of all, the manager sandra basically gossips about the staff she dont like to all the other staff and causes trouble. It really upset me to hear that the way these girls, and lots of other girls at molly maids in wimbledon get treated. I hope this complaint gets heard and the girls at molly maids in wimbledon get treated the way that they should considering how hard they work.

Awful service by franchise in sunninghill Sunningdale and Ascot, Berkshire. Cleaners were dirty and smokers. Service was beyond awful. I was told I had to pay the bill no matter what otherwise threat of small claims court would be used. The owner of that franchise (Dee) kept repeating that the company offers service guarantee and can send cleaners back to do the job again. Why would you want cleaners that did a bad job back in your house?! Awful service. Do not use them!

I worked for a Molly Maid in Surrey for many years, and YES this does go on, the staff are treated disgustingly and YES they are sacked for no reason other than speaking out about problems that arise. The gossiping and back stabbing that goes on with these franchise owners is shocking and nothing more than playground bullying. The girls have all their personal business spread around and there is absolutely no confidentiality. So unless you have worked for these franchise owners BAYDEN you have No right to comment.

I am very disappointed in the Molly maid of north shore. I live over in glen cove NY. I have been their customer for six months and I had enough. My main concern is that they cant keep any of their employees. they keep firing them. So every two weeks I get a new crew. I am an older woman that lives alone. I don't feel safe letting these new people into my home. And it seems that the young girls have had no training. Very disappointed. I can deal with one or two things being missed but they miss a whole lot and often. One time they didn't do the entire bathroom. I feel like I have waisted my money . And too often no one answers the phone in the office. I try to make payments but they never call me back and then send me invoices. I am very upset. And the operations manager is very rude. Smart remarks are uncalled for.

awful service! and a family gold heirloom bracelet and cameo ring were stolen from my antique vintage box in my living room. unfortunately it was not discovered until i went to wear them. horrible customer service. they could care less. I was foolish not to call the police. but because the girls are always different except for 1 i would not know whom to accuse.
STAY AWAY !

Hmmm, I take these "comments by staff" with a pinch of salt. I have used Molly Maid for many years, and also know Sandra (Wimbledon) personally - although she does not operate the Molly Maid franchise I use as I live in a different area. It is all too easy for staff, and customers, to ### about employers and services provided but actually they have no idea about the hard work that goes on 'unseen', by the franchise owners to keep those very staff employed. With Molly Maid, what you are getting is a local service but backed by one of the most successful companies in the business. They have a very good complaints procedure which, if used properly (unlike a badly written posting on here), will sort the problem efficiently - we all know problems happen in any line of business. Some people will never be satisfied with any kind of service - whether it's a cleaning service or one from your local garage - and show their lack of integrity and intelligence by commenting unfavourably on forums like this. Personally, and like many others I know, I am very happy with Molly Maid and will continue to use them in favour of less effective companies.

Interesting comments about professional services . I operate a maid service and we are NOT a franchise. We are a locally company and hire girls who would be independent cleaners but would rather work for a company so that tax, social security and worker's comp insurance are taken care of. In addition, we supply safe effective supplies and equipment so the worker has minimal expenses. I might suggest that you consider locally owned family operations in your area and check with their references as well as the Better Business Bureau to see if they have any on-going complaint patterns. In this economy many people are "starting" their own cleaning business and haven't got a clue what all that entails. It is a good idea to choose a company that has been in business a minimum of 5 years. I hope these pointers from the "inside " of the industry are helpful.

I have used Molly Maids before in TN and everthing you mentioned so far has been right on target. I felt so bad for the girls. No lunch breaks, some of their cleaning techniques are not sanitary for the employees. With a full schedule it is almost inevitable that they take shortcuts inorder to have enough time to finish the required tasks. The girls also told me how they would be required to drive from Hendersonvill, TN, to Downtown Nashville, which is ENTIRELY TOO FAR OF A DRIVE. These girls had a office that was located in Old Hickory their manager was a man. They said they sometimes worked from 7 am to 7 pm. After hearing about stories from the girls I decided to stop using cleaning services and just hire a independant house cleaning lady.

I rather hire a regular cleaning lady for many reasons;

1. I am goin to pay a lot of money for some one to clean my house, then I expect the worker to get paid the money. Not some person setting behind a desk doing nothing

2.my watch I can make sure that a cleaning lady get a lunch break

3. I can assure that the person I hire is performing her duties in a sanitary manor.

I can't beleive that there are people out their still being treated like this. This is 2010 for heaven's sake.
