Eden Cosmetics &free trial& scam

I wanted to try the offer so I signed up for it. I waited about 10 days and still hadn't received anything in the mail. I called Mineral Elements by Eden and asked if they had sent anything. They informed me that the tracking number showed it was delivered. I was advised to wait a few more days to see if anything would show up. Nothing came and I called back. Season told me that I had to ship the product back within 15 days of if showing delivered. I told them I still had not received anything. They told me to go to the post office and ask around. In the mean time, the clock was still ticking for the trial period. I was told that I could just get an RMA # and send the product back and I would only be billed for the shipping charges. I kept in constant contact with these people and finally called them two days after the 'trial period' ended and explained to them that I had to go into the post office on a Saturday and the workers dug through a huge bin of boxes and discovered my little package in there. I called Eden and told them I finally had the product in my hands and was not going to open it or try it. I just wanted the RMA # so I could send the box back. They informed me that I was 2 days past the trial and that $70 was going to be charged to my account. They said there was nothing they could do for me. They wouldn't even give me an RMA # so I could send it back. They offered me coupons to a restaurant and other crap like that. I was passed on to a 'supervisor' who told me I should have extended the trial period. I asked why they were going to offer me an RMA two days previous but they wouldn't give me one now. Alisha said that they couldn't issue an RMA until the product was received. But since I got it after the trial, they couldn't issue one now. I have been completely honest with them and could have asked for an RMA even though I didn't have the package, but since I told them I didn't have the product, they wouldn't issue one. They offered to refund my account $55, but that hasn't happened. They claimed they offered to extend the trial period, which was a bunch of crap, so I called them on it and they said they would review the taped conversations to affirm that. I still haven't heard anything back, which tells me that I am right and they are the ones who screwed up. I have called several more times, and have yet to hear back from Alisha.

I ACCEPTED AN OFFER TO A MINERAL ELEMENTS MAKE UP TRIAL OFFER FOR $1.00 PLUS SHIPPING & HANDLING.
THE MONEY WAS TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT WITHIN MINUTES.THE NEXT DAY I GOT A CALL FROM A SUPER GLAM
BOUTIQUE REP.HE TALKED 100 MILES AN HOUR, I COULD ONLY CATCH EVERY 4TH OR 5HT WORD.TELLING ME I WILL BE RECEIVING ALL KINDS OF FREE STUFF, A MAGAZINE OF MY CHOICE, FOOD COUPONS, AND OTHER STUFF.BY THE TIME HE WAS FINISHED {FAST TALKING ME], the final outcome was :super glam boutique would be deducting from my bank account, or credit card monthly, in the amount of {almost} 50.00 bucks .i was led to believe i could TRY this product at this great trial offer price, with no obligation .this is just a slick way of getting u into a contract that takes much time, effort, and energy to get out of.i called to cancel my "membership" at which time i was told i can not return the product w/o a RMA#.the number was said to be given to me at that time.IT WAS NOT.when i asked for the RMA # i was THEN told that it would be sent to me by email in MOMENTS.THIS IS TWO DAYS LATER, STILL NO RMA #.i feel like they are going to wait the 10 days they give you to return the product, w/o sending me the RMA# so i then get charged a 35.00 return charge for being past the 10 days THEY GIVE YOU TO RETURN THEIR PRODUCT. I FEEL LIKE THIS WEBSITE IS MISLEADING AND WHEN THEY OFFER A TRIAL WITH NO OBLIGATION, THATS WHAT IT SHOULD BE.

I just had the the same identical thing happen to me...They said trial offer for 1.00 plus shipping charges, and then they stated they shipped it...I never did recieve it and when called back they mentioned they could not check, that their computers were down, to call back the next day...I got the same thing, and then I emailed them back..stating I never recieved their products...it was the only email address provided to me...Then I noticed they charged my card 130.00 and I called, they stated they never rec'd emails from me, and the email they sent was a no reply email...They stated I was past the dead line, and there was nothing they could do..when I pleaded that I never recieved the items, they stated they have a tracking number, I asked was this insured...they stated no...so now I am charged this amount for nothing...After researching, I see it has happened many other times, so it is a scam...I will try to talk to them again, and then report them...anyone else want to report or throw a class action suit together..let me know...my email is : mitrahina@yahoo.com

I had a problem with them too. I never recieved the product and they still charged me. When I called they said they had a tracking number to confirm delivery which to this day I never recieved. They attempted to take money off my card since the first $100 and something was taken out of my account. I called them again and told them I didnt want them to try taking anymore money from my account. They told me they have not and I told her I have the bank statement to prove it. As I took my money out of this account because of them. They have tried three times to take money from this account. The last time being March 3, 2010. I called them back once again and told them if they try one more time I will contact a laywer she stated to me they have not tried to take any money from my bank. I told her thats awful funny because again I have my bank statements to prove this.

Ok, well I just got done talking to another department. I was nice and calm and explained that I do not have money to just lose like this. I explained that my gf used my card and she was under the understanding that she had ten days and that if it was past the ten days the card would be charged 20.41 per month until cancelled for the membership fee. I said so, by there rules we were off by one day, because they count the ship days as one of the ten days. So, now I am out 130.41? I also let them know that my bank said they would give me my money back for now and file a complaint against the company. Plus I did not authorize the transaction with my card. I was told I "SHOULD" see the amount credited to my account within 72 hours. She was going to forward the issue to another department, but said there should not be a issue with getting the credit. I will let u all know if I get the credit. The main thing I think is just be calm and dont get in a yelling match with anyone. I have always went by this and the way the CS rep was yesterday I almost lost my cool. I kept it together and it may have paid off today. I think with all the complaints that maybe that helped to. They want to watch themselves or I just got lucky and found someone who actually understood my situation. So, if I get the credit I will have to say they did the right thing this time. Oh, I am also mailing back the product.

Well it just happen to my gf and it is on my card. We cancelled on the 15th and it was shipped out on the 5th yet they charged me 130.41. i said for one the deal said she would only get charged shipping and then if she did not cancel the card would be charged 29 dollars and change every month. when u click on the terms in detail it says u have 10 days from the time its shipped to cancel or u will be charged 130.41. i called them and said why was my card charged when it had only been 10 days. they said the day it is shipped is counted as one day. I said what? so anyways i am now getting ready to call and speak to a supervisor and then probably a manager. i will let u know how it goes!

Eden Cosmetics ageinvisible skin care solutions

I was originally "duped" into buying the product, in the first place; immediately following the "free trial (just pay shipping and handling)", I contacted "AgeInvisible" notifying them that I wished to discontinue "any automatic shipments" and be removed from membership. I even kept a copy, of the cancellation, of all future shipments and membership - well...today I received another shipment from the Company, charging my credit card - upon contacting the Company, I find that I am responsible for the "Shipping and Handling" for a product I should never have received. The problem, you have a hard time reaching them by phone and you are never sure what Company to go through on-line.

i did a survey for a $1.00 sample of their make up, an no where did i find that there a ten day period that had to cancel this "membership" that i supposedly was signing up for. and i noticed last night that my bank account was charged $130.41 because i did not cancel my "membership" and of course there's nothing i can do about it now. so much for the "risk free" trial

Was under the impression only had to pay $4.95 shipping/handling for "free" sample. Instead, was charged $130.41 plus a $35.00 overdraft fee as I hadn't made a deposit yet - who knew I needed that much in my account at that moment. Called to cancel and was told it was too late to return the unused portion of the makeup and they wouldn't be able to refund me anything. Advised I would refer them to the Better Business Bureau and am working on that. DON"T GET HOOKED ON THIS SCAM!

this was such a scam. i took a poll on line and was offered a $50 walmart gift card. well, i received this makeup kit and then received a call saying if i kept the product i would have to pay an outrageous ammount, or pay to send it back. i argued with customer services for quite some time, not getting anywhere. i was told if i didn't want to send it back i could pay a discounted price of $25 and keep it. i adamately said i did not want to keep it. i either pay to send it back or keep it for $25, which it is not worth. all i did was take a survey. what can be done about this. you cannot trust your own computer anymore.

Ok, so i sighned up to try the "free trial offer" and just pay the shipping and handliiing for 1 dollar. I went ahead and did it, i didnt get my product right away, it didn't work for me. i went to get money out of my account, it told me insufficcent funds. so i called and they had taken 90 dollars out so far. So i called the customer service for mineral elements, they were rude, and will not rerturn my money. i told them i was going to call the bbb on them then she said ma'am all i can return is 45 dollars, i said no i want the full amount you have taken returned to my account it was not authorized. This is a scam! i tried to get to the web site and it sends me to other ones. This is not something i can afford, i even told them they took the money for my rent out of my account and told her they need to return the money, she still refused, and she tried to tell me that she did not have a supervisor cause it was her! I know better. This is not cool, they should be shut down, today i wrote the bbb and told them about this company!

I purchased a sample kit for $1 and paid shipping and handling. I then get a phone call about a week later from the company asking if I had received the product. They then asked me if I was interested in the monthly offers which they were told no and were NOT authorized to charge my card further for any reason. Today I checked my checking account and I am now a negative balance. The company charged my card 130.41 and says that it is non refundable. In the damn box they shipped they did not leave any paperwork about the damn cancellation policy and they claim it was an "outside" company that had called me not their company. I cried and pleaded with them because they took part of my rent money. Do not buy from this company they are a bunch of liars!

Through a Walmart email there was tagged on several questionairs that I filled out a ad for a FREE sample of their product for a $11.00 s&h charge. I received the "sample" along with a contract I was responsible for their product to be mailed to me every two months charged to the credit card I gave for the s&h "costs". I called the customer service dept. and was told I was expected to return the " free sample" at my cost. when I told her I had thrown it in the trash under the written information that it was MY FREE SAMPLE as the product was useless I was told I would be charged for it! To begin with the cosmetic had less coverage than if I held my breath for five minutes .I feel the company should be sued and I intend to turn them into every bureau I can locate.
Sincerely, Carol Ferguson.

Wife had allergic reaction.Had no idea FREE /PAY:S/H . Meant I submited to membership. Now YOU PAY! Also being a member means, if like to return the product. To get a full refund . They must be unopened. must arrive back to them fifteen days after recieving.Consumer must pay S/H. THIS MEANS I just payed a postal worker for a half hour of thier time.UNOPENED+ELEMENT OF TIME=SHOULD HAVE BEEN MISTAKE IN ORDER.THIS IS NOT MY IDEA OF STIMULATING THE ECONOMY.

I too thought the trial offer for Minerals by Eden was just the shipping and handling cost. I sent for it and I have not received the trial package as they sent it to the wrong address. My address is NOT 723 Soouthhaven Dr. Mankato, Minnesota 56001. It is 136 Lynx Lane, Mankato, Minnesota 56001. I canceled my membership a long time ago. I cannot get ahold of customer service. All I get over and over again is a recording. I do not want any more charges to my credit card. I DID NOT RECEIVE THE TRIAL PACKAGE. They will NOT forward the trial package on to my current address.
PLEASE DO NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR ANYMORE PURCHASES AS I HAVE NOT MADE ANY MORE PURCHASES WITH YOUR COMPANY, NOR DO I INTEND TO! I am very concerned about all the fraud reports on your web site. I trusted this company to do their job and to be a reputible company. I guess you are not! I am very disappointed in this company. They do not treat customers with any respect even though we trusted them.

This company is using the same SCAM that AcaiBerry (FWM Laboratories) is using. After the 14 day "free trial" period is over (it starts the day you place the order, not the postmarked date) they automatically debit your credit card. The product is called "Age Invisible" and the company is Precision Niche Products from Harrisburg, PA.

When my credit card company called them, the Customer Service Rep "canceled" my membership, but couldn't issue a credit because they don't have the capability. Hogwash! I was charged $69.31 with no way to recover the loss. Fellow consumers beware of these predatory practices.

PS: the product doesn't work!

Stay away from the Dell ad that says to try 2 thing to get a free comupter. I did try 2 things and wanted to send them back and my account was already charged. Then the Dell ad asked to choose 5 more things!
They say they give you 10 days for the trial order and you pay $1.00 but I emailed immediatly to talk with them and they didn't return any answrs to my question until the time was up. They cancelled me and charged my account before the time limit was up. IT'S A SCAM! Beware!

For those of you who have been charged and taken by this awful scam, please call your local FBI, https://fbijobs.gov/62.asp.
I did this maybe 2 hours ago, the agent was such a gentleman, he understood, asked for the "customer service" number the company gives you and Let him know what happened to you. THIS WILL STOP. Hope you Eden Mineral Makeup employees don't have a family to feed, because you will be soon be out of your "job".

I received a trial offer on bare minerals makeup. all I had to do was charege $1.00 and a trial offer was sent to me. My mistake was taking the word from a website that liiked legitimate. Friay, I received another months supply, and it was chared to credit card. I did not ask for another months supply and did not expect it. The packaging gives me a web site to go to in order to return and ask for credit on my credit card. The website does not give me any info to cancel and return. However, there is a phine number, which no body answers. I am just a little angry and I will know in the future, I cannot trust any website that tells me it is a "one time" offer. I would appreciate a response.

i ordered the supposedly trial offer for one dollar. no where did it say that in ten days i would be charged $130.41. if that were the case i would never have ordered it. i called and a very rude man by the name of terry told that i should have read the terms of the agreement. i told him there were no terms to be read. He told me that because i had not returned the make-up with-in ten days that i had to pay for it.there was nothing mentioned in the ad referring to any of this. ten days is not even enough time to try the make-up to see if it agrees with your skin and then get it back. he told me that i could not send it back now, that it was too late, so they deducted $130.41 from my debit card. after a heated discussion, he agreed to close my account. he gave me a confirmation number, and assured me that no further charges would be taken from my account. but none of my money was recovered. this company is ripping people off THEY SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN AND NOT ALLOWED TO ADVERTIZE ON THE INTERNET I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE DISPLEASED WITH THIS SHAM AND SCAM COMPANY!

For $ 3.95 Eden Cosmetics would send me a sample of this miracle eye wrinkle remover, so I gave them my credit card number which they took the $3.95 off. When my product arrived to my surprize there were two more bottles of cream you can put all over your body and somemore wrinkle remover for the face and neck. What I did, nt know is that package came to $79.95, all I could say at the moment was, What the hell is this? They never said a word they were sending that other ### with the smallest jar of eye cream I, ve ever seen. Even though I sent all of it back about a week later, I was still charged $79.95, and for what? I no longer had the crappy cream but I was never reinbursed for the charge of $79.95 either. I think I need a lawyer. I hope this helps anyone thinking of buying this crap not to do it, or you too will be scamed.

The add for this company said pay $1 recieve our new product. The company tells me that i had 10 days to decide if i want to keep the product or not. NO where did i read that i had 10 days or that they would be charging me $130 EVERY month. I did not sign up for any membership and i need at least $100 back that they took i would like all of it cuz there was no where stating the information that they told me, but i know they want to give me only $50.

I had ordered a "Free Sample" offer from them with a $1.00 shipping/handling charge. Or it was suppose to be free. Well, I never received their product, so I knew nothing about it was suppose to be returned or they would charge me $130.00. And didn't think much about it when I didn't get it. Every now and then, we don't receive our mail, it's put in the wrong mailbox, and doesn't get returned to us. We've contacted the post office about this, but nothing has ever been done, and we're not the only one this happens to. And it doesn't happen enough. So I don't order much that doesn't have to be hand delivered.

So anyway, I noticed the charge on my bank account for the $130.00 charge. I contacted both the bank and the company. Had my membership cancelled. But when I talked to the customer service, if that's what you call it, she said since I didn't return the product within 10 days, they could charge me, it was in the information inside the box. Well, I can't return what I never received, and wouldn't see the info regarding the charge, since I didn't receive it. She told me they have verification from the postal system that it was delivered to me. I tried to explain to her, that it was not put in my box. That they did not always put mail in the right box. But she said there was nothing they could do.

This is rediculous and fraudulant. Their site did not say this. If it did, I would not have requested "SAMPLES" because I sure as hell would not pay $130.00 for samples. And if I was going to pay that much for cosmetics, I would buy them from the beauty supply house or from Bare Minerals. Not Eden Cosmetics. Who are they? That's why I wanted samples, to see if I like them better. But even if they were better, after this, I would NEVER EVER buy anything from them. And I will NOT refer them to anyone. And will tell everyone I know, not to buy from them.

And apparantly from the looks of this site, I'm not the only one that's having problems with them. If they had a quality product, they would not have to do business in this manner to get people to buy their product. Maybe they should focus their attention on improving their product and customer service, and people would buy it. But not in this manner.

I want my money returned to me!

Recieved SAMPLE cosmetics not knowing I would be charged $69.41. I have to wait until Nov. 29, 2010 to call due to a Holiday. But I will be demanding my money back!

Eden Cosmetics unauthorized charges to my credit card

I filled out an offer for a sample of their products. Before sending my credit card information, I read their terms and conditions. When I found out they would not refund my shipping, I "X'ed" out of the order form before sending my credit card information. Somehow, they got it anyway, sent me their product, and have not only refused to refund my shipping charges but I now have to pay MORE shipping to have the product shipped back to them, they will not accept anything marked "Return to Sender." This company is running quite a scam and needs to be stopped!

LATEST VICTIM... I opted for this product on a site that was offering to earn Southwest tickets and it had a separate page for the membership and I declined. As I understood it I was paying shipping $7.32 for shipping and less than 2 weeks later there was the very unexpected charge of $69.41 on my card.On top of that the product did not work like it advertises at all! I called and was practically told in so nice a way that I was too dumb to understand the offer and that they would not give me my money back. I am a writer by trade and you can bet this scam is about to go very public! My e-mail is litemdbear777@ yahoo.com
Let us form a group also as this company is about to get a bad stint of publicity!

Eden Cosmetics unauthorized charge

Today a charge of $69.40 showed on my debit card, which I didn't authorize. I authorized a purchase of $7.32 for a sample. When I contacted the company I was told I got a 3 month supply and because I didn't return in 15 days was why I was charged that amount. She said to off set the charge she would mail me a diners card. Told her no I wanted charge removed. She is to have supervisor call on Monday. It didn't say anything about returning in 15 da when I ordered the product. This is a scam.

No kidding. I love their company and their sister companies. And, if you call in the 15 days, they will take youof the autoship and charge you only $25 for the product ( so a nice discount ) if you want to keep it. Otherwise, you simply return the product if you don't want it.

I have worked with this company for years and never had a problem. Everything is clearly stated in the terms/conditions, even with the phone number to call within the 15 days.

It is a free trial ( hence the word trial ) and not a free sample. You don't get to keep it...you try it. If you don't like it, you return it.

I experienced the same as mjvdc...(previous complaint) I am happy to report that I filed a "complaint" with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General Bureau of Consumer Protection, Harrisburg Regional Office via the Internet. Today I received a letter from them indicating that the complaint had been settled in my behalf. I checked my credit card and the 131.41 had been credited and then I also received a $1.00 check from them. No request was made further to send the product back...however I would gladly do this as it is of no value to me.
Take the time to report this as I did if the bank drags their feet. Good Luck

I was charged 130.41 on my debit card today. This is the worst possible time for me and I cannot afford it at all. My bank is going to start and try to help me with this tomorrow. I am so upset - I emailed them and then followed up with a phone call within 2 days of receiving the trial offer and was told I was cancelled. When I called them today they told me yes, I was cancelled, but was being charged 130.41 for the little trial kit they sent. They told me they had informed me of this and there was nothing I could do. I hope my bank can help, but if not I will file with the federal trade commission, the better business bureau, contact my representative, the harrisburg, pa attorney general, and as many government resources I can find. This is so wrong and hurtful to consumers. I encourage everyone to do what they can to this company.

I was charged $131.00. I called for a refund and cancellation number and they said there are no returns. I called my bank and they put me in touch with the fraud department, who then told me to send it back with a tracking number and in 30 days one way or the other my monies would be refunded.I also had to get a new debit card so there would be no further charges made. If Eden Cosmetics doesn't refund me my bank will and they will go after Eden.By the way the value of their product is bad. Bare minerals is a far superior product! And your right...it was my fault for falling for the free sample ploy... there is only one thing free in this world and that is the love of Jesus Christ.

keep in mind this company also sells Green Tea Extreme and the same exact processed happened and it was the same customer service number for my eden Cosmetics product. i actually was offered a $100 diners club card for the "inconenience. They will not budge on a credit. These companies are complete scams...it's or fault for fallng for it unfortunately and now we are left with a minimum $79 bill for a supposed $150 value product...it's definitely NOT worth anymore than the original $7.32!

i agree they scammed me too i am on a limited budget so 70.00 to me is like a million dollars. does anyone have a number for this scamming business. i see that it has rachal ray name with it too. so i guess i will send messages to racheal ray. when she gets enough complaints and people stop watching her maybe she will realize that taking money from people is wrong. she has billions so 70.00 is just pennies for her. now off to send her a few choice words.

I thoroughly agree with you .I ordered a sample for 7.20 and then a pending charge showed up for 69.41 .When I inquired they told me that they had a 15 day return policy and i didn't do that. A 3 month supply was sent and I was put on automatic renewnal. . She cancelled the renewnal and offered to send me a diners card of 50.00 to off set the cost. I refused. I have called several times and they all say the same thing that they have a return policy.

They are scammers

Eden Cosmetics - hiding information on return

I saw this on a link from a website. Free trial offer, just pay shipping & handling ($7.32). No where on the "free offer" did it state "If you don't return this within 15 days of ordering we will charge your account $69.41." If the statement was there at all it was in either very small print or in another link that I failed to click on. This is a true bait...
