Toyota abusive finance manager

I clearly stated to the sales person (Michael) what I was offered for a highlander Limited somewhere else along with finance option of 1.9% for 48 months. Gave the sales person a price I would be willing to buy now. He comes back with his finance/pricing manager (do not remember his name ... an asian guy). We haggle a bit and agree to a price. Then another manager (Ray) shows up to haggle further upwards. So gave away another $350 bucks. We walk back in and I am told this price is not for special financing .. as I have used up the rebates! Did the sales person not talk to them about what I mentioned in the first place?

I tried to check on my laptop on the cost of loans. The asian pricing manager got abusive; he said .. 'you do not want a car and for you I would not even give 3.9% .. for you it is 4.9% ... you do not want a car ... do not waste time'.

WOW! what a sales team! This asian guy needs to learn the value of being a professional and proper customer service. In the end, we were off by 1k; i.e. the rebate value on car with an MSRP of 39k. If, as a dealer, you do not agree on a price that is fine but be professional about it. They just pissed off a local technology executive in the news industry. I will do my best to make sure the several hundred people who work in my organization and additionally my professional network never buy from toyota of lewisville. Good way to lose business that too local. I will post this experience on all popular social media sites so others do not have to experience such rude behavior.

I went to Toyota of Lewisville on Aug21, 2010 to buy a 2010 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Certified Double Cap VIN# 5TEJU4GN3AZ705538. Dealer cost was $24, 432. Market price was $25, 999 with 12, 827 miles as on the AD.A salesman (forgot his name...but he is Indian guy) and Michael Vu (General Manager) sold the truck with $24, 389 drive out price plus unlimited oil change at Toyota of Lewisville or John Eagle Sport City Toyota (same owner). I agreed to buy the truck with price $24, 389 drive out and 7yrs/100, 000 miles warranty on it. The salesman directed me to Daniel Le in Financing Department. Daniel Le had done some paper works and I have signed already. He asked me to buy the extended warranty for that truck with $2, 000. I said I don't need to because the truck had dealer certified for 7yrs/100, 000 miles warranty. He said the truck had not been certified yet and I had to pay over $600 dollars something for that if I wanted that truck certified. I told him that truck had already been certified and I showed him the certified logo on the car fax. He was sorry me about his mistake but he did not want to sale the truck with $24, 389 drive out as before. He talked to his manager again and offered me $450 more instead over $600 for truck certified. I was very upset and walked home with a very good lesson from Toyota of Lewisville dealership :-(

Toyota would not start, horrible experience

I don't normally do this but I had such a horrible experience I felt I had to share it...

On Monday evening 8/23/2010 at approx. 8PM my 2010 Toyota Camry would not start. The next morning at 7:45AM I called Toyota assistance to come pick up the car and repair it as its under warranty and has only 5, 500 miles and is only 6 months old. They told me that they don't pick cars up that did not purchase the extended warranty. I challenged them and they reassured me that this was the case. I then hung the phone up and looked at my service manual and what do you think the service manual states... As long at the car is under the 3/36, 000 warranty (and it is with 5, 500 miles and 6 months old) they will ### the car up and repair it. I have now wasted a day of back and forth and have called a tow truck to come and pick it up and take it to Toyota.

I am very disappointed with the service, attitude of the phone assistant that I talked with, unwillingness to provide assistance and Toyota as a company.

I attempted to go to the "My Toyota" web site for owner and post my complaint for someone at Toyota to handle and much to my surprise they wont let you post or upload issues/concerns/stories. I'm amazed that a company the size of Toyota wont embrace the "open communication" of it owners and allow them to voice their stories good or bad, rather you have to " call in your issue".

I categorize this as a full on "Toyota Fail" in customer service, customer communication and warranty follow threw.

Toyota no refund of deposit

I have made a booking of Toyota Vios and paid a sum of RM3, 000 as deposit at a Toyota dealer Wheelcorp Sdn Bhd (Old Klang Road) on 7th August 2010.
Due to unexpected financial problem recently, I am unable to buy the car and appeal to the dealer for a refund. The branch manager rejected my appeal and threaten to forfeit the deposit if I can’t pay the down payment to collect the car. She is very rude and said she has all the right to forfeit in the event of cancellation of order for any reason whatsoever.
I then contacted UMW Toyota Sdn Bhd (Malaysia Headquarter) 603-[protected] at Shah Alam to explain my situation. The customer service representative said that they cannot do anything about it and my deposit shall be forfeited. I understand according to the agreement there is a clause stating that the deposit paid by the customer be forfeited in the event of cancellation by customer. However, I just could not believe that Toyota Malaysia is so inconsiderate that they will forfeit customer’s deposit money even if the customer is facing financial difficulties.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me on this matter.

Bought a Toyota altis recently, within one month, I can't start my car. Send to the wheelcorp service centre and they said it's due to battery problem. They refused tp change to a new battery although my car is only 1 month old. How can a brand new car with a battery problem? Moreover i just bought it 1 month ago. Send my car for servicing for the 3rd times . I remember clearly the manager Madam Sharon Chong said there is 3 free car wash. But now during my visit, she said no such thing and even raise her voice to me. Is this the after sale service? Please, I can afford buy an altis, I can afford too for a car wash. But it's the business ethic and principle. How do customer trust Toyota?

Toyota stay away from toyota dealership

I was walking too the parking lot of a dealership and a salesperson yells out to me and tells me oh you are here to buy the car now. As I walk back to where he is so I can go into the dealership where he works he says oh you could not afford those expensive cars so now you are coming to buy one from us? When I walked in he tells me you can't come in here only if you are going to buy a car from us! Brought it to the attention of the manager and guess what he tells me. I too would have done the same thing as my salesperson!

Unfortunately as was not as lucky as the author as I actually leased a Toyota from Toyota Financial Services. It was a terrible experience from day one and although their customer service staff are polite they can't actually do anything. The head of customer services is Mr Big and totally unflexible. Unless you can afford a lawyer you will get fleeced. Stay away from Toyota Financial Services.

Toyota do not go to milton reuben toyota in augusta, ga to buy anything

I purchased a 2010 Tundra Double Cab on January 23, 2010 and in the contract I wanted leather seat ($1400) installed after my $1000.00 check cleared on the end of the month of January 2010. So when my check cleared I started calling to see when my leather would but installed. I called Dennis Wiles, the saleman that sold me the truck on the last week of February 1, 2010, and he said that he had called CC Top company and schedule to have my leather installed on February 8, 2010. So I called to CC Top to confirm my appointment, CC Top staff told me that no one had contacted him about installing any leather seats for me . So CC Top took my information to call Milton Ruben Toyota back to confirm. So a day went by and I still did not hear from anyone. So called the saleman, Dennis Wiles back the next day and he said that February 4, 2010 is the date of my appointment. So I got off early from my job to go to get my leather seats installed on February 4, 2010, and Dennis Wiles called me back stating that CC Top had to order my leather and it would not be installed until Monday, Februaury 8, 2010. So by this time I told Dennis and CC Top to cancel and give me my money back for the leather. It was way to much hassle to get this done. The dealership lied to me. It did not stop there though. I called Dennis Wiles to get my money back from the Dealership and he transferred me to his mother in the finance department, and I left a voicemail stated to refund me my money. I didnt receive a call back until today when she stated that if I dont get the leather then she will have apply the money to my auto loan. I held the party of my bargain but the dealership lied about scheduling my appointment, and I even got off my job . I have contacted the Customer Retention department and I am going to called Toyota President and VP until this gets resolved. Do not go to Milton Reuben Toyota in Augusta, GA to buy anything.

I had purchased a 2010 Dodge Nitro that I paid cash for. I took it in because there was a whistling noise from the windshield. They kept telling me they didn't hear anything and finally ordered a part to go on the left side. They put that on and I advised them that I still heard that noise. They told me they would order on for the other side and never did. They then advised me that the windshield had been replaced and had the company that replaced it come and check it out and was told everything was fine. Still have the whistling noise. Car has drivetrain warranty to 100, 000 miles. I have taken my vehicle back several times as the check engine light keeps coming on. It has been reset by them several times and they tell me there must a very small leak as whatever it is detecting. In the last 6 months that light has come on at least a dozen times or more. When I took my vehicle there to have the tires rotated I brought the issue up to them again about the light and was told as long as it isn't flashing there is nothing to worry about. Really? Back to the tire rotation. Took it there to get tires rotated and they kept talking about oil change, kept telling them it's not there for an oil change its there for tire rotation. I purchased my tires from the dealer and was told that I had lifetime tire rotation. When I told the service man that he advised me they dont offer that. I told him many many times that I was told I had free tire rotation for the life of the tires or I would not have bought my tires from them. He said they would honor it this time but not in the future. Comes to find out it is documented in the computer that I have free lifetime tire rotation. To make sure they weren't doing an oil change, my husband and I stood at bay door and watched them rotate the tires. When they were done they pulled the vehicle out and I asked them if they checked the tire pressure and they said they did. I told them they did not because we were standing there watching. They blatanley lied to my face. I called them out on by shoeing them on my vehicle that it showed low tire pressure. They did what they were supposed to do and then I get in my vehicle to leave and the system requires attention light was on. It was not on when I took the vehicle there. I was told that I would have to schedule a service appointment to have that looked at. Again, really? I feel as if I keep getting blown off by them so they dont have to honor my warranty. I will keep going back and raising hell till I'm satisfied.

I had a HellCat Challenger coming in and received it on 3/26. This dealership was NO HELP to me. The car was suppose to be delivered to the dealership 3/20. It was still in Dixiana SC and did not arrive to the dealership until 3/22. I talked to Scott on 3/24 and was told the car was still in Dixiana and could not be released until someone WASHED it at the railyard (a Chrysler rule he claimed) then it could be picked up. After verifying this story with Dodge and Chrysler they both called BS on this story. They assured us that having a car washed at the Railyard is to much liability for Chrysler and is NOT allowed. So why I was told and untrue story by this dealership is beyond me. I have emails from 3 different people that state that even though Scott told me on 3/24 the car was not there, and Victoria told Jeremy at Dodge on 3/25 that the car was not there but still at the Railyard, the car WAS DELIVERED to the dealership on Sunday 3/22. They even called someone else to come and look at the car even though he had CANCELED his order on the car and I had already paid for the car in FULL. The other guy said they had it in a the warehouse in the back. All while telling me that the car was NOT there. AND to add to it, they put 19 miles on the car!

I have been a customer 30 plus years and will ride a bicycle before buying from them ..I purchased a 2003 cobra for my sons graduation ...gift. It was suppose to be perfect. Well after i purchased it I found out it was wrecked with major damage. I lost 7000 dollars on resale. I just purchased a 2007 dodge 2500, next day found out it had to have brakes, rotors, front seal was leaking, etc, 1000 dollars worth of brake work and the oil had to be changed. I complained and the next time I walked in it was like I was a lepor, The manager Robbie Newman used my name in the meeting about being dissatisfied. To top that I bought a new Toyota and found it was just to small, Asked them to find me a Tahoe, or Cherokee to trade for. 1 month has passed the manger Robbie would not even call back . Bare in mind I have purchased 20 or more vehicles from this dealership. I would hate to see how they treat a new customer. All my family I have sent to the dealership as well as many friends... NO MORE ... it is run by a bunch of clowns that only care about number of sales not customer service... Beware they will lie, and tell you things and then never follow up .. There are plenty of dealerships that will appreciate my business. Tell every one stay away

I purchased a 2009 camry from them and have had wonderful service. My salesman anthony sutphin came in on his day off almost a year after he had sold it to me to assist my mother and I in getting a rental care there while they did the recall repair on our vehicles. I have been very satisfied and would recommend buying anything from this salesman he is honest and that can be rare in a salesperson, maybe you just got a bad one.

Toyota possiple double dipping

Check engine light on took it to the dealer who told me that it the charcoal device in the emission control system needed replacing, over $600. I ask if it was covered under the ZERO emissions warranty. They told me that it wasn't. Not very trusting of car dealers I called Toyota customer service. They told me that it was covered. Had I not call Toyota the dealer could have charged me and then turned in a warranty reimbursement. For god's sake this is a Toyota dealer you'd think they'd know what'c covered, yes? There's a lot more than I have room here to write.

Toyota gap insurance and interest

I bought a used car and feel ripped off. My car was totaled in an accident and my insurance will not help me. Nor did the other person make a statement so they could determine who was at fault they just blamed me cause I reported it. I purchased gap insurance and they wont help me. I had it towed and they sent the tow bill to collections. I feel they are ripping people off the car isn't worth what I paid and I've invested thousands of dollars in repairs and now have no car and owe a bill. If I could sue them I would. Someone drives the same kind of car and I'm being mistaken as well. Due to this I have bad credit and feel like I'll never have anything.

Toyota I will never, ever buy a car from this company again and hope that other people looking at lancaster will go somewhere else

I just wanted to inform people of how thoroughly disgusted I am with the purchase of my 2006 Toyota Corolla from John Lancaster Toyota-Madison WI. In 2006, I did an extensive amount of research on cars that I was looking towards purchasing. I went to Lancaster due to it's location. I test drove one vehicle and fell in love with my Corolla. I decided to buy it and even had it customized by putting leather seats in it. I recall the salesman telling me that if I did the required maintenance, I could expect to drive the car over 200, 000 miles. Over the last 2 years I have come to call it my cute little piece of ###. It has given me nothing but headaches and has cost me countless dollars in repairs. I also swear that the people at the Lancaster Service Center sabotage the car. Every time I get something fixed, the next month something else goes wrong with it. Mind you, this is a car with less than 50, 000 miles on it. This last repair cost me close to $400 dollars-2 weeks before Christmas. Do you think the service people were sympathetic?...Hell no! Oh, wait, the cashier gave me some Kleenex when I started to cry. I forgot about that.

As of late, I have even considered smashing the thing into a tree. I just can't afford to keep dumping money into it. Lancaster is trying to suck me dry.

I work at a very large company where the thousands of employees have been relatively unscathed by this recession that we are having. Often people discuss purchasing vehicles. You can better believe that I will be a one woman crusade steering people as far away from John Lancaster Toyota as possible. I can only cross my fingers and hope that more people decide not to do business here. I would love it if they went bankrupt. In my mind, these people cost my son his Christmas. I bought a LEMON and I am paying for it with no help from this company. Of course, their excuse is always..."That's no longer under warranty" Give me a break. I've been having problems since 20, 000 miles. I have a list of all of the service that's been done. I am just sick and tired of dealing with these greedy people that obviously care nothing about their customers. I will never, ever buy a car from this company again and hope that other people looking at Lancaster will go somewhere else.

Toyota scam on car lease

We leased a NEW car from Toyota Bay Ridge. Right after we got the car we realized that this one was used as demonstration: customers were allowed to try it before buying. The car had a big scratch on front bumper and around 200 miles on odo. There were newspapers and not related to the car items in. We came to resolve this situation and talk to the manager.

I do not shake hands because of different reasons. After I didn't shake hand to the manager, he got upset and even increased his voice telling that he doesn't have time for us.

We wanted a new car instead of "demonstration" one or, if it's not possible, get satisfactory reimbursement: increased mileage or similar things as well as normal conversation. We got nothing of these and we have a very bad feeling after visiting this branch and talking to the manager.

Toyota paying off trade in

Traded my car in June 10th 2010 for a new Toyota. I was still making payments on my trade in. To this day (Aug. 3rd 2010) my trade in has not been paid off. Im in collections with the bank it is financed through. I will have to start making the payments on a car I no longer have in order to save my credit score. This is a horrible car dealership I wish I never bought a car from them. And if your reading this and considering purchasing a Toyota, go to another dealership its not worth the headache!

Talked with an attoney, and yes there is a breach of contract issue however they arent going to fix my credit. I will still have to make a payment or two to catch up. I can fight against a negitive point on my credit if it comes to that point but it would take months and more money. Never got a pay off, in my contract it states they will pay off my trade in and the bank its through. So they are aware of everything. Thank you for taking the time out to try and help me!

Yes have done all the above. I have notified the bank that my trade in is with, they have heard nothing from the dealership about me trading in the car and they still want to be paid. I have called the dealership and they tell me they sent a check or for me to leave a message with so and so just to have no one call me back. I have gone as far as going to the dealership and telling them I am not leaving until I speak with someone who knows something...I end sitting there until the person there to help me has left the office. Ive heard this is a new "scam" that dealerships are doing. And yes in my contract and by law the dealerships have 3 bussiness days to payoff your trade in so they are breaking the law.

Toyota sulfur (rotten egg) ordor in cabin and exterior of toyota cars

Well, Vios and Innova new owners, are you experiencing any sulfur or rotten egg ordor in the cabin and the exterior of the car when your car engine and your car air conditioner is running?

I am one who is currently inhaling sulfur ordor everyday as my car farts at its own mood and I have to wind down the window everytime it does that. Imagine a driver doing that few times a day for another 10 years as my car is only 7 months old.

What did the service staff said as most of you may want to know? "Remove your car mats." I complained that the ordor is coming from the air conditioner vent; in stenches. My car has no smell in the cabin and the smell will appear when the engine is running for some time (the ordor comes and go when I wind down my window). If the mats are smelly I will smell is everyday.

The staff mentioned that many vios owners are facing same, but no innova users have complained...so I'll be the first. As I read in many articles; it is very possible that the new catalytic converter is the main problem faced by many users of many toyota models in the USA from 2003 till 2006. Thus, I am wondering whether they shipped the defective parts to Asia.

At the moment the service center will work on sealing the gaps near the air conditioner as it is possible that the sulfur is leaking into the cabin from the rear air conditioner system (innova has 2 separate system). I'm saying this as they have already cleaned the front air cond coil and sealed whatever gaps they can see but they missed out the rear air cond system.

I only worry that the catalytic converter will damage my engine in the long term.

Do share your experiences if YOUR TOYOTA CAR STINKS!

Hi there. I'm 1 of the unfortunate 1 to have similar problem with my 10 mth old 2012 Innova. It farts intermittently at will - rotten egg smell gushed out at 2nd row vent since the 2nd free service in Feb'12. Today, i hv just had a 2nd inspection by Toyota technical team after few times check ended in failure to determine the root cause as they insisted that they hv to smell the same before they can take further action. Can I have your car number so I can insist Toyota that I'm not the first victim ?

Toyota rudeness & sarcasm & defiant staff

I wish to make a complaint on behalf of Miss Sumalee Sripputha with regards to the unnecessary sarcastic remarks and rudeness of a staff of Toyota Leasing Thailand Co; Ltd. The staff of Toyota leasing is known only as K .Methavee.

Briefly, On the day of Thursday, date d 22nd in the year 2010 at about 1950 hours, telephone number [protected] made a call to my phone number [protected]. A femal voice spoke on the phone seeking to speak to Khun Suwan which was me . At that time when i received the call ; i was resting after a days work ;thus i informed politely the toyota leasing officer to hold on and transffered the call to K. Sumalee.

Upon answering the call by K.Sumalee. The officer has had demanded the due payment of the vehicle instalment which was overdue by just a day which had made it into a delinquent two months non payment. K.Sumalee had just transferred the amount of 9485 baht on 20th July 2010 at a seven eleven branch off the soi 50 Phahonyothin Road Branch.(It was just 2 days ago) The amount 9485baht was transferred and discovered miscalculated and paid short of 144 baht after being informed by K.Methavee on 22nd July 2010 at about +- 1955 hours .K.Methavee insisted that we pay the outstanding by the next day amounting to 10, 200++baht which was totally
impossible.Due to unforeseen circumstances, our business was affected due to the economy and unforeseen problems and uncalculated problems occured in our business thus; made our payments of monthly instalment a little difficult . Though we were not on time, we never delayed our instalment more than the third due month. Our maximum of deliquency is just two months. But Khun Methavee spoke toi K.Sumalee over the phone with full of sarcasm, insistency, not allowing any chance for K.Sumalee to explain, citing that K.Suwan best know what K.Suwan had agreed and promised over the phone.Which she allegedly exclaimed that it was all recorded. I am happy that she had recorded every conversation we had spoken, thus the proper authority will listen and understand our dillema with Toyota Leasing Thailand Co; Ltd. AND see if I had MADE ANY PROMISED to K. Methavee in any aspects. I remember I had just said that I will try every means to pay as per request but I cannot promised when.As long as I have the chance to received any payments from my clients, I will transfer the instalment payments if not a single month payment or two months whichever depending on my capabilities.

Over and over again K.Methavee had used strong and hard tactics of "'negotiating by intolerable and sarcastic remarks". She (K.Methavee even "challenging & defied" k.Sumaleeto speak to another officer.

She (Khun.Methavee) even "Threathened" to transfer our payment delinquency details to the debt collecting department and threathened that she will imposed a fine and debt collection fee of 800++ baht as claimed by K. Sumalee.

The conversation took almost over 10 minutes and during the conversation, Khun Sumalee overheard K.Methavee whispering to her colleague that " it is not over" or thai language " ยังไม่จบ ยังไม่จบ". What is themeaning of all these. NOW our family are worried of the "threats" made by K.Methavee about the "debt collectors" . As we always have the vision of debt collectors as individuals who are arrogant, rude, aggressive and somewhat dangerous.

My main objectives to complaining K.Methavee, is that; She as an employee of a giant company may be hardworking calling for overdue payments and probably get a commission or percentage if there are payments made... I guess. BUT with aggressiveness, sarcasm and rudeness; I believe, professionalism is not in her bloodstream. My advise is the top of the line should have a refreshers course first and then trained the grassroots.

Finally, Our family would be pleased if the proper authority could assist us and also contact us . We would be more than pleased to provide more information. We will not end just now. But we will pursue this matter until the proper authorities take actions against these delinquent companies.

Our email address : [protected]@live.com
Contact person : K.Sumalee Sripputtha
Tel: : [protected]

Once again we thank the proper authorities and looking forward to hearing fromyou soonest.

Toyota misalignment of digit on engine cylibder block

Date : 21/07/2010

UMW Toyota Motor S/B
2 Persiaran Raja Muda,
Seksyen 15,
40200 Shah Alam, Selangor.
Tel : 603-[protected]
Fax : 603-[protected]
Attn : Mr Peter R Rayappan (Regional Manager, Pen Malaysia Operation)

Dear Sir,
I refer to the above matter and your letter dated 15/07/2010.

I write this letter so that i may express my deep dissatisfaction with the paltry offer of "a special package...and a reasonable trade in price" for my car stated in your letter above.

This offer comes after your admission that the misalignment of the digit on my engine block was entirely caused by the actions of your company. Further compounding my dissatisfaction is the fact that the corrective actions had been taken in order to fix an engine failure in the first place. I hope you can see that your attempt at resolving the issue with my engine resulted merely in the substituting of one problem with another.

I take note that you have expressed on behalf of your company how "deeply sorry" you are for the "considerable amount of inconvenience" that has been caused to me. However i have also taken note that you have proposed no other offer of compensation for the inconvenience and losses i have suffered as the result of the admitted actions of your company other than the above mentioned paltry offer. In particular i have suffered the following :

- a reduction in the amount of money that i could have sold the vehicle for ;
- the great inconvenience due to the loss of use the vehicle for the period in between the period when the insurance of the
vehicle was still valid ;
- the payment for the renewal of the insurance which became necessary only because the vehicle could not be sold at the
time due to the misalignment of the digit on the vehicle engine ;
- charges imposed by Puspakom for the inspections required ; and other losses yet unknown.

I sincerely feel that you need to offer a more equitable package to me in order to compensate me for the losses i have sustained. I counter offer a package that i feel will adequately compensate me for the losses i have sustained. My proposal is as follows :

- that UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd. ("UMW") compensate to me an amount equal to the different in value that could have
been obtained for the vehicle but for the misalignment of the digit and the eventual selling price. Due to the reason of
this, buyer had canceled the order which the price he offered to me is Rm73k, and your company refused to buy in this
vehicle, i forced to sell it immediately to other car dealer with the lower price to get cash, the price they offer me for
buy in only is Rm64k. The variance is Rm9000 between the car dealer buy in price while my last buyer is offered me
Rm73k.
- reimbursement of the charges incurred as a result of your admitted error, including but not limited to, the NCD insurance
recovering premium Rm1011 after i found that my inspection is failed, Puspakom inspection charges Rm150 and petrol
fees Rm100 during this period that i had to paid.
- an undertaking from UMW that UMW will further compensate me for any further losses due to a depreciation in the value
of the vehicle should the vehicle again fail to be transferred to a purchaser due to any error attributable to UMW and/or
its agents.

Rest assured that should our discussions fail to result in a mutually satisfactory conclusion, i will consider proceeding to legal action to pursue my claims against UMW.

I also take this opportunity to put in writing my objection to your imposition of an arbitrary period of "seven (7) working days" from the date of your letter. Providing me a mere 7 days to consider your offer, after considering the amount of inconvenience your company's action have cause me, is adding insult to injury.

I look forward to your reply.

From vehicle owner,
Lee Chee Boo

Toyota I was lied to, wasted my time and money, and the management would not even come out to speak with me

I am in the market to purchase a new car and was considering a lease. I went on the Toyota website to get information and I received a phone call from Katie Harwell from their sales department. I explained to her that I need a HIGH mileage lease on a Camry, (about 30k miles per year), and that I was upside down on my current vehicle due to high mileage. I live more than one hour away from this dealership so I told her that I was not going to make the drive unless she could assure me that it was not a waist of time. She responded with “It’s the last day of the month and I ASSURE YOU we can take care of this. So I dropped my plans for the day and drove the 70+ miles to the dealership. Once I was there I test drove a couple of the new cars and decided on one of them. I gave them all my information and waited for them to come back to tell me what the lease payments would be. Then I was informed that the only way I could do the lease was to come up with over $8000 CASH! When I was told this, I asked to see the General Manager Vince. Just as I thought he refused to come and speak with me. I was then told by my sales rep that what she did to me was very common and they are instructed to do that by the management at Roberts Toyota. They will say and do anything to get you in the door. This is very poor customer service, I was lied to, waited my time and money, and the management would not even come out to speak with me. I am going to tell EVERYONE I know not to buy from them.

Toyota I am disappointed with randy richman's behavior and his disregard for customer service

On October 25, 2006 I placed a good faith deposit on a 2007 FJ Cruiser with Ernie Palmer Toyota in Jacksonville, FL. I was told this deposit would be refundable if I did not purchase the vehicle in question and was needed only to re-route the vehicle from the sea port to the Jacksonville dealer.

After the deposit was placed, I continued to seek quotes from other local Toyota dealerships. When I spoke to Randy Richman, general sales manager for Ernie Palmer Toyota, regarding my best quote, he was very unprofessional. He was rude to my wife in a phone conversation and proceeded to yell at me over the phone. His behavior was dishonorable and unbecoming of a manager. As a result, my wife and I made the decision to go elsewhere.

We then purchased the same model (2007 FJ Cruiser) from David Mauss Toyota in Sanford, FL. We were treated with respect the entire time and have nothing but praise for their professionalism.

I am disappointed with Randy Richman’s behavior and his disregard for customer service. He has refused to refund my $500 deposit, disputing the fact he said it was originally refundable. Randy Richman and Ernie Palmer Toyota are a poor reflection of Toyota’s commitment to quality customer service. I am asking you to please refund my $500 deposit.

This is the most unprofessional service department that I have ever experienced at a Toyota dealership. They refuse to honor Toyota factory warranty. They need new management in their service department. Go to the other Toyota dealerships in the area for service to avoid the hassle and inappropriate business conduct. Toyota is a good product so take your business to another dealership.

While working for Ernie Palmer Toyota as General Sales Manager we agreed to get a limited production vehicle for "Americano" after receiving a $500.00 deposit. There was never any conversation about the deposit being refundable unless the vehicle he asked us to get him came in damaged or not as described...we would have never asked him to settle for less than he ordered. What would be the purpose of requiring a deposit in the first place. We went out of our way to get a vehicle that we didn't want to stock only to gain the sale and accommodate the customer. After securing the vehicle and receiving it, "Americano" said he found a better deal elsewhere. We had a signed buyers order and a deposit which further attests to the deal that HE agreed to. What kind of character does that exhibit? I don't even remember his real name but he seems to be throwing mine and Ernie Palmer Toyota's name around pretty good. It is so unfortunate that he feels the need to voice his opinion like this. I do believe that he received his deposit back after all. We weren't there to keep his money, just be a man of his word. This end result is the reason that most auto dealers can't do deals the old fashioned way anymore, a simple handshake.

Toyota I am appalled at the toyota commercials that are aired on television

I am appalled at the toyota commercials that are aired on television The commercials all belittle children. One is regarding his son sitting on his driving the truck than says to the boy isn"t that the girl you like oh look she has a camera phone but yet the reportors critized Brittany Spears for doing the same thing to get away from the paparaze this is a double standard as far as I am concerned. There is also another where he is belittleing his daughter regarding her drawing. Also his wife by scattering snacks all over her new car.

Because of these commercials I would not buy any Toyota product or even have one given to me free I would sell it before I put it in my driveway.

I spent $15k on a 2009 Scion tC and the paint is chipping like I've taken it off-road! I'm really pissed that I spent this much money and the car doesn't have a decent paint job! The car is fun to drive and I'm happy with the way it performs. The paint job is cheap and needs to be done over!I'm going to call corporate and let em'have it! This is not acceptable and with all the money I paid, you would think they could have done a better job painting the car!

April 4, 2010, With my wife driving our 2006 Toyota Corolla, while parking her car in a parking lot in front of a Sub Shop, about 5 ft. from the curb with her foot on the brake, the accelerator suddenly went to full throttle. The car lunged ahead hitting a concrete 2 x 2 ft. post. With both feet on the brake pedal the wheels continued to spin and did so until the key was turned off.

The Police were called, a report made, no summons issued. Car was then flat-bedded to repair shop. Car was a total loss. Dealer from whom we purchased the car from in 2006 gave us the phone # at Toyota in California. They impounded the car checked it out and said they could not find any issues. The car had 70, 000 mi. at time and never had the slightest problem, was well maintained and in excellent condition.

I contacted our Lawyer, only to be told that because there was no personal injury, it would be difficult to win the case. This was my wifes car, she drives over 50 mi. round trip to work 5 days a week. In almost 40 years of driving, she has never had an accident.

Toyota avoid keith pierson toyota at all costs

I went in to the Toyota dealership and brought a 2003 MR2 Spyder, purchase price were around 26, 244. and because I owned around 22, 000 on my Aztec and they were only going to pay me around 12, 000 on my Aztec to keep me from being upside down in my 2003 Spyder It would cost me 11, 000 dollars and I paid 7, 000 with a check and 4, 000 with a credit card. Went to trade it in just recently and owned around 24, 000. What did Toyota do with my money it was not applied to the deal even though the contract show it. I am still heart broken about this because I took part of the money from a Thrift account which I still paiding and the other from my credit card which I am still paying (I am a widower). I fill out a complaint at Keith Pierson Toyota and were told Mr Pierson would call me today well no call.

Toyota bad service dept + service manager

Two years ago I went to determine the cause for check engine light coming on. They give me the reason and charged me $100. I followed thru by going to Oak Brook Toyota dealers and they give me a different reason and once again I paid for the diag and got the issue resolved since most of the work was covered under warranty.

Then I go back to Elmhurst Toyota and ask for a refund because their diag contradicted what Oak Brook said. After showing all of the paper work to Brian Corrigan, he agreed to refund me my $100. Unfortunately for me, I never saw the $100 and just let it go not caring to waist any more of my time with them. So I figure I will only use Elmhurst Toyota for oil changes and will not have my car repaired because they do not seem to credible.

Today I go for an oil change with a coupon of 30 min or less or else oil change service is free. In summary,
a) they take an hour to get me out of there
b) the service manager indirectly calls me a liar saying that he heard the service work tell me up front that it will take 45 min at least; therefore refused to give me a refund of $26.
c) they skipped the courtesy car wash
d)

Now they have zero credibility in getting any work done. I didn’t really care for the $26 dollars but simply wanted to make a point that their service stinks and not all customers are suckers ...

Maybe it will benefit the dealership to send the service manager for some type of customer service/honesty classes.
