Michael Kors fraudulent sales pitch & lie

Recently we were in Hong Kong and while there we stopped in the Michael Kors store. While browsing the merchandise we found a purse Selma Nouveau Novelty Tokyo Leather Messenger Style# 30F7SOAM6O which the salesperson proceeded to tell us was (1) unique to Asia, and (2) that there was only two in Hong Kong. Based on this information I bought one for 4, 400 HKD.

Upon our return to Canada, I was surprised to see that my purse that was supposed to be unique to Asia was readily available in Canada, and not just that but it was 1/2 of the price - $378.00 CAD - that I paid in Hong Kong.

A bit of a difference in price might be expected, but 2x is unacceptable - specially in light of the fraudulent sales pitch. Likely, the salesperson was told that this was the case but a lie is still a lie.

Michael Kors regarding ticket #2541781

Sub: paying harassment as price for buying Michael Kors

Hello

I picked up 3 articles of Michael Kors in Venice at Campo San Moise close to Piazza San Marco on 16 or 17th of May 2017 and the mail is regarding an irreparable defect in one. The following are the details of that article:

To my utter surprise I faced the problem with the product on the very 3rd day of its use. The clip holding the long belt came out and the bag fell out of my shoulder. I surely do not expect a low quality like this from MK especially when I have picked up a limited edition bag.

With great disappointment I am writing this mail wherein as a customer I feel I have been cheated and harassed by a brand like Michael Kors.

I showed it to the authorized store of Michael kors in Delhi India and they said it is irreparable and it's a defect in the product. Since the bag was purchased in Europe and is VAT free product, they could not help us and told me to write to MK.

I wrote a mail to MK on 27th Aug 2017 to which they reverted on 28th Aug saying they are feeling sorry about it and I must send the details like the style number, name of the store, purchase receipt etc. along with the pictures of the product highlighting the area of concern. I sent them all the details along with the pictures on 10th September 2017, to which they replied on 12th September saying they need 3-5 business days to revert. They never responded till 20th September and I wrote a mail again on 20th showing my concern over the delay. I received a mail on 23rd September saying that they have sent pictures to the QA department and would soon contact me.

On 26th September they reverted back saying " to get started, please ship us your handbag to our offices for inspection. Upon receipt, our Quality Assurance team will perform a thorough evaluation to determine if it can be repaired. If we determine that it can't be repaired, we'll replace it with the same item if available, or contact you to offer options for a similar replacement. Please allow 3-5 days from the time we received your package to get an email with our determination and next steps.

Please include the following when returning your product:
• The completed attached form
• A copy of your receipt or card statement (if available)

Please note that if we determine your item cannot be repaired, and a replacement option is offered, we won't return the product to you. Therefore, by sending us your product along with the completed, signed, and dated form you agree to this policy.

At this time, our warranty process does not cover costs associated with shipping items to our facility. For more information regarding our warranty service, visit us at www.michaelkors.com."

I responded back to the mail on 27th September saying:

"Please refer to the following points:
1. I sincerely thought that Michael Kors is an A class product giving some product guarantee.
2. Michael Kors should talk to the New Delhi branch for a customer service, as it's easier for me to handover the bag here.
3. It would be difficult for me to pack the bag in such a way that it reaches you undamged.
4. Who would be bearing the shipping charges? I certainly did not buy an expensive stuff like that, which was found to be faulty product, to ship it back and bear the charges as well...
5. I mentioned it in my previous mails about my husbands travel and if anything could be done on those lands.

Kindly consider the above points for keeping up with the name of Michael Kors."

I was sent a mail on 29th September which sought a bit solace since it said "Hello Parul,

Thank you for contacting Michael Kors.

We sincerely apologize for the error in the previous email.

We're excited to offer you warranty coverage for your handbag. However, before we can proceed, we're requesting that you please provide the following: photos showing that your handbag has been destroyed, your shipping address and contact phone number.

At your earliest convenience, please respond with the requested information and we'll be in touch shortly to provide you with the next steps in our warranty process.

We value your relationship with MICHAEL KORS and are committed to providing you with the highest level of service. If you have any questions or require additional assistance, simply reply to this email or contact us by phone at 866.709.KORS."

4th October 2017 I receive a mail saying "Thank you for your continued patience with Michael Kors.

At this time to further assist, we would like you to destroy the handbag you currently have. Cut an "X" into it on both sides with a razor blade. Take pictures of it afterwards and email them to us. Once we see the old handbag is destroyed we will send out the new one. This process is followed with international customers instead of asking you to pay expensive shipping fees.

We value your relationship with MICHAEL KORS and are committed to providing you with the highest level of service.

If you have any questions or require additional assistance, simply reply to this email or contact us by phone at 866-709-KORS seven days a week.

I was travelling at that time but reverted to them on 5th November showing my concern over not being able to destroy the bag at that time, to which they replied on 6th October "Dear Parul,

Thank you for contacting Michael Kors. We value your relationship with Michael Kors and are committed to provide you with the highest level of service.

No worries, as soon as you get back, please send us the pictures of your handbag destroyed.

If you have additional questions please reply to this email or call us at 866-709-KORS."

On October 11th I damaged my bag and sent mail along with the pictures attached.

On October 13th MK again wrote me a mail "Hello Parul, 

Thank you for your patience with our warranty process. 

We're excited to offer you warranty coverage for your handbag as it appears defective. Currently, our international warranty process requires you to destroy your handbag to unusable means in order to remove it from circulation. The fortunate part is replacement offers are available to ship to your country.

Before we can proceed, we're requesting that you please provide the following:
• Photos showing that your handbag has been destroyed with a large "X" shaped cut out on the entire body both front and back. It's imperative that the handbag be destroyed.
• Contact information: (shipping address and phone number)
Please note, Michael Kors items received in our Warranty & Repair department are always destroyed the same as we have asked you. Our warranty department is unable to ship replacements to businesses, school campuses, nor P.O. Boxes. All instructions listed are standard for our Warranty & Repair Guidelines. 

At your earliest convenience, please respond with the requested information and we'll be in touch shortly to provide you with the next steps in our warranty process.

If you have any questions or require additional assistance, simply reply to this email or contact us by phone at 866.709.KORS."

On October 15th I damaged my bag further and sent pictures and wrote a mail saying "Hi
I'm sending the pictures of my thoroughly damaged bag. I hope this time it should satisfy the company's policies and norms. Or else I can go to the authorised store of MK at New Delhi and get it vouched from there that the bag is damaged beyond repair now.
I think a further delay would rather kill my desire to carry this bag.
Thanks"

AFTER WHICH MK HAS NEVER REVERTED.

I wrote a mail on 18th October in despair saying "Hi
I'm writing this mail in complete disappointment and despair. MK is now a brand known to me as a complete unprofessional brand. Having exchanged so many mails including the ones in which I have sent pics of my totally damaged bag, Mk has not been able to deliver services as promised. A bag worth 36K Indian rupees is not a small amount that I paid and I don't even know whether i would be happy carrying this bag. Don't know how MK would justify its delay and satisfy its customer.
It's a shame."

And today is 29th October, there has been no response.

Michael Kors a pair of women's slip on sneakers with perforation small holes on top.

I purchased these slip on sneakers at Marshall's in Middletown, New York. After wearing these shoes for maybe 5 times if that they ripped by the seam. Marshalls wanted a receipt which I do not have now. I was hoping that you could direct me into a solution.
These sneakers are a taupe color with perforation little wholes on the top and they are a slip on with a white rubber sole.
I understand that I purchased them at Marshall's but they are a Michael Kors sneaker and I really do love them.
Thanking you in advance for any help you may suggest for me to have a sneaker that is not ripped from the side.

Michael Kors men's collared shirt shrinkage

I have a customer complaint for the men's clothing department. I purchased a shirt from the Scottsdale, AZ Fashion Square Mall men's store location about a month ago now. I loved the shirt It was very soft and extremely comfortable when I tried it on. It was a perfect fit (Large) when I bought the shirt ($90).

The very first time I washed the shirt I made sure to follow the laundry instructions on the tag. Machine wash warm with like colors, tumble dry low if necessary.

I washed the shirt and decided I did not want it to shrink so I air dried it. When I put the shirt back on after it air dried it had shrunk almost a complete size!

As you could guess I was extremely upset that a $90 shirt shrunk on me when i followed directions.

I took the shirt back to the store I bought it at and they said there was nothing they could do for me. This is completely unacceptable to me. When I pay a premium price for a nice shirt and follow the directions it should not shrink to the point that I cannot wear it anymore. This is not the customer service I know and expect from Michael Kors.

Please help me rectify this situation so that I can continue to shop at Michael Kors. If not I will take my business elsewhere.

Michael Kors return with tracking number

I recently returned the order back to Michael Kors with their prepaid return label. I didn't see any tracking numbers on the label or on my receipt. Later I called them and e-mailed them to have them check the computer, look into my order and provide me with the tracking number on my return label that comes with my order, their answer is NO. They have no record. They are the one that printed out the return label which was attached to my purchase receipt, how can they not knowing the tracking number? I called the post office, and they said the same thing, the company should have record of the tracking number. So now if my package got lost, I have no proof. I talked to two customer service and one lady from the e-mailed, same answer: no record. I don't like their customer service, period. I will not purchase from MK again.

Michael Kors damaged bag purchased

I purchased a bag last November and the bag itself has started to come apart - I was told this is covered under my warranty and to contact your customer service team for help! what a mistake, your staff are rude and incapable of providing any sort of customer service. My email are ignored and my bag is still damaged

I would never recommend this company to anyone or ever purchased such poorly made bags from them again

Michael Kors eyeglasses mk 7008 (metzl iv) [protected]

Hello,
I bought these eye glasses a year and four months ago, on June 2016.
I recently noticed a "corrosion" phenomenon on the upper part of the glasses.
(Model MK 7008 (mltzl IV) [protected])

I have been wearing eye glasses throughout my whole life, so needless to say that I do not shower or swim wearing them. This is the first time that I have even encountered such a phenomenon, and it is quite disappointing..

Michael Kors Appalling

Michael Kors is not that good as we thought it could be. Overpriced and careless. Once you paid - forget about them. The same thing could be done if it comes to the problem. They provide a poor quality and don't want to take responsibility for what they provide, and it's too bad for their brand. I know I spent money on nothing. You better buy something from aliexpress. Looks like they have a better quality. I hope you know what I mean.

Michael Kors bracelet

Gold tone bracelet with silver tone studs surrounding it. One of the studs feel off. It is less than one year old and has only been worn approximately 10 times before this happened. I have not abused the bracelet and it was rather expensive. I am willing to pay for repairs due to the fact that I no longer have the receipt. I have purchased two of your handbags and they required registration but the bracelet did not.

Michael Kors white sweater

Hello I was purchased a white sweater last year from the Manchester branch. This has being worn a handful of times and washed to the instructions, this has gone out of shape and the Michael kors gold logo on the back is hanging off, it has being suggested to contact trading standards however I wanted to contact you first as I've always received great service in s the stores this was purchased for 65 in the sale, is there anything you can do,

Michael Kors pocketbook

I was given a Michael Kors pocketbook as a gift. It lasted a total of 4 months before the straps started tearing where they attach to the body of the purse. Didn't bother to send it back because of their terrible customer service reputation as told to me from the store the purse was purchased. I took it to a shoe repair shop and they sewed it so at least I could use it without worry of the strap breaking. ($12.00)
You pay that much for a purse you at least expect it to last longer than 4 months. Shame on you Michael Kors for handing down poor material and workmanship on such an expensive purse.

Michael Kors ordered mk bag

Ordered MK handbags online from www.mkhandbagsonsale.com website. I received my package today and both the bags which I received were not the ones I ordered for. They neither came with a warranty card or any proof document. I have written 5 emails to the company regarding this. The bags were fake mk because the material was not genuine. I was highly disappointed when I opened the package. If you cannot refund my money atleast send me the correct order which isn't fake.

Hi, I also ordered a handbag from the website. Not only the bag is fake but also they charged me almost double number of that shown in the webpage. It seems the company located in China, because the bag is sent from Qingdao, Shandong, China and the bank transactions showed the receiving end related to Shanghai, China. I even did not know where to complain until I find here.

Michael Kors the chairman of the company does not care

Michael kors customer service ticket number (mkcs) #1830461

1. received a mk down jacket as a gift in october, 2016
2. emailed to mkcs that after washing the garment following their own attached instructions, the garment became "frayed" especially at the seams where the "hood" was attached.
3. this made the garment unusable.
4. at least five (5) attempts were made to contact mkcs. each time, conflicting responses were received. the customer service is in complete disarray!
5. at one point received an official communication from mkcs calling the garment a "handbag" (this is after three separate attempts to remedy the situation), and it was returned with a statement "your item does not have what is considered a material and workmanship defect".
6. multiple photographs were submitted to mkcs showing the irreparable and unusable condition of the garment.
7. finally, in total frustration, wrote the letter below to the chairman of the board mr. john idol on april 22nd, 2017
8. as of the writing of this posting, no responses have been received from the chairman either.

Re: ticket # 1830461

On november 28, 2016, I sent an email to michael kors customer support, regarding a michael kors down jacket with attached hood, that I had received as a gift. my reason for emailing michael kors (mk) was due to the fact that after following the washing instructions on the jacket, the jacket came out frayed at the seams on the attached hood only. as the hood was attached and not removable, I could no longer use the jacket. this was the first time I washed the jacket. I heard back from "esha", style consultant, consumer support, who asked me to attach photos of the jacket, which I did. however, every time I emailed as to the outcome of my complaint, I was contacted by a different mk style consultant. I heard from a "diamond p.", "courtney d.", "rhea f.", and "esha" (again), and all asked me to send photos! I do not know why consumer support "experts" kept asking me to send and resend photos. I ultimately was told that I would need to send the jacket to michael kors so that the quality assurance team could determine if it could be repaired. I did not think it necessary to mail the jacket as it was very obvious in my photos that the garment was unrepairable. I was also told that if I sent the jacket and if mk determines that it cannot be repaired, and a replacement option is offered, then the jacket would not be returned. I finally did send it in based on the email that I had received from "luis p.", style consultant, stating that, "if it cannot be repaired, we will work with you to find a replacement". I was unable to use the jacket so it didn't matter at that point.

After many back and forth emails, on march 18, 2017, I finally mailed the jacket to the michael kors customer support (mk cs), using the return authorization form as requested, for inspection.

In a letter from mk cs, dated march 23, 2017, I was informed that my "handbag" was being returned to me as "your item does not have what is considered a material or workmanship defect."

On april 6, 2017, I contacted mk cs and spoke with carlos. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to a carysa cordero, supervisor, customer support, atlanta, georgia. I explained my disappointment in the michael kors product and was summarily blamed for not washing the garment correctly and that nothing could be done. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that a manager would return my phone call at about 4 pm. 4 pm came and went with no phone call so that evening I called customer support back and was told that no manager was available to speak with me.

On april 7, 2017, I called mk cs and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with a chris nunez and explained my situation. he said that he would reach out to his manager in new jersey and get back to me after asking for a reconsideration of the situation.

On april 17, 2017, I called mk cs again to speak with chris nunez as ten days had passed and I never heard back from him. I left a message.

On april 18, 2017, I called mk cs again and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with a victoria, manager, who informed me that chris nunez was no longer with mk and apologized for him not getting in touch with me. she said my ticket was reviewed and there was nothing that could be done. I asked for her supervisor and she told me that there was no other person. I asked for the name and address of the ceo of mk and was told that she could not give out that information.

Mr. idol, I have never had such poor customer service from a major company. from the beginning, not only was I just being fed standard lines, but no one knew what they were doing. there was no reason that I was requested to send photos over and over again. I don't even know the reason why I had to send photos if they knew I needed to mail the jacket in for inspection. I also could not understand your customer support personnel-their english was terrible and they could care less what I was trying to explain to them. all they were concerned about was typing what I was telling them, apologize that they couldn't help, and apologize again... this was the same for your supervisors and managers. all were useless and unresponsive. the most insulting part was the fact that I was blamed for incorrectly washing the garment. I told them that I followed the instructions but it did not matter... it seems that michael kors feels that the customer is always wrong! this is unacceptable. this was a down jacket sir that I loved and there would be no reason for me to destroy it after one washing. if the washing instructions said to dry clean, then that is a different story. it was washed as per mk instructions.

I know I probably will not be able to get another jacket as I had, but I do expect michael kors to work with me, as was stated to me by “luis p”, to find a replacement or compensation. I am very disappointed and my last resort was writing to you.

Michael Kors shipping issue

Ordered a handbag as a birthday present and paid for express shipping. After I paid for everything I received a payment confirmation and later a shipping confirmation. I wasn't happy when I saw that my package was sent with regular shipping instead of express. I contacted Michael Kors support and they said that it was already too late because order was sent. They said they were not able to refund the money that I paid for shipping and offered me a small discount on my next order.
I am very disappointed with Michael Kors, order is still missing and my friend's birthday was last week. Will not order from them again, they can keep their discount to themselves.

Michael Kors item ordered not delivered

To whom it may concern;
This is in regards with my recent order that place by a siore for me in Michael Kors Monticello Norfolk Virginia that has transaction number #8998. That they are claiming it was delivered but I was home all day waiting for the item. I have 8 dogs that will alarm me if there someone outside in my house but there is nothing on that day. My flight is Monday at 6 Pm to Philippines on March 6 2017. I came back in US on March 17 2017 expecting that I will have my purse that I am dreaming but it wasn't. I started calling the store but they said I need to call the UPS. I called the UPS and said they will investigate it. 2 days after the store called me that my package is found and I need to call the UPS and I call UPS and they said They have my package that will schedule to deliver on the following Monday March 27. I ask them if I can pick that up right away on that day they said they are closing in 4 ministers. I can pick up the package after Monday I just need to call them after Monday. So I didn't have still the package after Monday I called them and they said they don't have the package and it is under investigation. So I waited and waited and waited patiently. Now as this moment the UPS told me to cal the store where the item shipped out when I called the store they that the UPS should call them not me. This is not fair you already charged the amount from my bank account and I don't have the item. Pls expedite this complaints.

Michael Kors worst customer support!

I would like to ask Michael Kors to train their employees better! These people have absolutely no idea about good customer service, they are rude and sarcastic and should not be allowed working with people!
I called them because I wanted to know how can I return a defective item and they replied saying that all the information was on their site. I told them that I did not find it and that nasty lady told that I should have searched better. Tell me Michael Kors, is that how customer service rep should reply to a customer? I don't think so.
And only because of their support service I will never buy from them again! I'm paying money and I want to receive a good customer service, but that's absolutely impossible with Michael Kors. Avoid!

Michael Kors customer service

My wife brought me a leather iPhone case from Michael Lors shop, in Covent Garden London as a xmas gift from my grandchildren ages 10 and 2 years at a cost of 43 pounds on the 12/12/16 three weeks ago I conntacted custermore services to say that the wallet was not fit for purpose you should pull the tab at the top and the phone should rise so you don't have to pull the phone out by yourself I beleive the elastic in side is faulty 4 phone calls later and emails and I am no further with a answer I have sent all information requested but nothing all I won't is a replacement but nothing all purchuse conditions should apply designer shop or not rules are rules I shall know conntact trading standards to see if they can sort things out would I buy again I don't think so I'm not afraid to take the big boys on so let's make theme own up to theair responsibility that took my wife's money ? Michael Kors satchel

On 12/24/16 my husband purchased a mid size tan satchel for me as a Christmas gift at the Michael Kris store located at the Valley Plaza in Bakersfield, CA. I attempted to exchange the satchel for a different color the day after Christmas. On 12/26/16, I went into the store and asked to exchange for the exact same satchel; however, in black. The cashier proceeded with the transaction and then told me I owed $80 as the bag was on sale for 25% off the day it was purchased and that sale price no longer applied. I felt that the sales staff was dismissive of my situation and did absolutely nothing to help me. To top it off the bag that they had brought up to exchange was the floor model. I have never heard of such a ridiculous policy when exchanging for the exact same product, not even in lower end stores. I will never purchase a Michael Kris bag knowing that is your policy. That was my first time ever purchasing a Michael Kris product and will most likely be my last. Your sales staff in that location need a little more training in how to assist customers.

Michael Kors wrong product, worst customer service

On 12/14/2016 I purchased some items by the phone, it was a multiple order of $320.14, the confirmation number is C291485980 . I 've ordered a black sandals (specifying BLACK, that is recorded in the conversation) Store Style # 40R7CLHA1S and the representative put by mistake the cherry color.
I noticed like 10 min later checking my confirmation email and inmediately called them again to change them for the right ones, but they said that the order was already submitted and I've to wait until receive the order, then return it and send me a new one, but this process will take sooo long and I bought those as a present for Christmas! The order wasn't shipped yet and they are unable to change it? I can't understand ...
I tried to cancel the entire order and they said that I can't until I receive the package and return it. Unbelievable! Is there any way to solve my issue, caused by a mistake of themselves? Why they can't offer a proper solution like another regular store, is the first time that I see this work system and is terrible! I need my problem to be solved !

Michael Kors I will never buy from them again!

I have purchased a sweater from Michael Kors online store and had the worst experience ever! When my sweater arrived it had stains on it and smelled funny. I contacted customer service and they replied in a rudely manner and said that I can wash the sweater. They refused to accept it back. Then they asked how can I prove that sweater arrived dirty and blamed me that I probably did that on purpose. These nasty people gave me a run around! I will never buy from them again!
