Meijer alcohol

I went to the Meijer in Okemos Michigan to purchase alcohol, tortilla chips, and salsa. I proceeded to go to the checkout where I was asked for my ID, reasonably so I could pass for under 21. I produced my ID and since I am originally from Indiana and just moved up they told me they would have to double verify my ID. So another woman came over and shined my ID in the light and decided that she needed to take it to go in the back room to check on something. Needless to say, there was now a line forming behind me and 10-15 minutes had passed before she returned. She proceeded to ask me if I had another form of ID. I said sure and produced my valid State of Michigan employee ID and a debit card with my name on it. She said that it is their policy that they would need to see another form of ID with my BIRTHDAY on it? I was thinking she cannot be serious? I do not carry my birth certificate or passport, unless I'm in another country, with me at all times. So I told her I did not and asked to speak to the manager. The "Service Team Leader" came over and told me that they cannot verify the authenticity of my ID. I was flabbergasted on how humiliating they made me feel. The STL said "we cannot sell you alcohol because we get a lot of college fake IDs in here" and "she could call the police". I said, "great you call the police. I work for the Michigan State Police and they would be glad to confirm my identity and legal age". This threw her off because I do not think she was expecting me to be so happy about calling the police. I had nothing to hide because I know my ID is authentic. However, working for the state police I know they have more important things to do than to check my authentic ID. So I told her that I am not a college student, that my ID is 100% accurate, and that this was rude and belittling me. She then told me it was a privilege to purchase alcohol and she has the right to refuse me service. Let me say that I understand that anyone can be refused the right of service, but I was doing nothing wrong. I do not understand how my state employee id and multiple cards would not suffice to confirm my identity. I gained a lot of gawkers through this situation and was extensively embarrassed. I told the manager that I would never shop at Meijer again. They really need to evaluate their "policy". Seriously let a very sour taste in my mouth.

Working with the police you should know that it is your duty to get a new id or dl when you moved to a different state...

Meijer meijer brand shrimp from thailand

The Guardian has printed articles about the shrimp industry in Thailand using forced/slave labor to peel and de-vein shrimp: http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/series/modern-day-slavery-in-focus+world/thailand. I checked in the Michigan City store yesterday, 12/20/2015, and found that the Meijer brand is a product of Thailand. Meijer should sever their relations with Thai producers and consumers should boycott these products. Is your holiday shrimp worth families being enslaved?

Meijer butter pecan ice cream

So disappointed in your brand of ice cream. I do almost all of my shopping at Meijer. I decided to try your Meijer brand Butter Pecan ice cream; what a disappointment! You should dismiss your Quality Control Department. 1st the ice cream doesn't have any color, nor does it have any flavor, and it has approximately 5 - 6 pecans . I ate the pecans and threw the ice cream out! One of your top competitors, Walmart, has a much better tasting, more color and more pecans in their brand ice cream. Meijer customer service

The credit card stripe wouldn't swipe. I said, punch in the numbers. He said we can't, "Store Policy, " it's for your protection. I said "It's my card and I'm buying one bag of groceries." I was asked to leave the store without my groceries. I was told, I could come back when I had money. I said "I never comeback, EVER." I never will either, there are four other grocery stores in the same mall. If you have that much competition, you should have nicer employees.

Meijer purchasing liquor

I'm 66 years old and last night tried to purchase a bottle of coconut liquor at my local Meijer.At the cash register the cashier asked me for id.I asked if she was joking and got a surly "no" in response.I then asked if she thought I was under 21 to which she replied that it had nothing to do with age.I can only presume that it must have been racially motivated.I do not need a f##king female African American c#nt with a stick up her ### giving me a f##king hard time.Meijers need to tell this c#nt to get the tent pole out of her ###, go home, get laid and lose the attitude.As my id was in my car I let them keep their f##king groceries and the booze.I will now make a policy of loading my cart when I buy liquor and leaving my wallet in the car.They can pay their employees to return the items to the freezer before they melt

Meijer returns

Briefly, I just want to say i've lost over 300 worth of food scince I started shopping there,, and waited for many mos not telling meijer store, when I did finally get enough, they where nasty, would not listen, aurgued the man was mean who was the manager, I did not get all my money back,

There customer serv. And ppl are not helpful and rude.

Some one some where needs to keep a eye on the way they take care of food.

Also I did I mention food posining..

Meijer not honoring sale

Miejers has their own online sales and coupons that you have to "clip" from their website I clipped buy one get two free Massini tshirt tops. no where on the clipped coupon, inlcuding on the exclusions and terms does it state you cannot use for the Massini clearance t shirts I tried to buy one full price t shirt and for the free items one was clearance and another one was also full price meijers refused to count the clearance item as one of the free ones because it was on clearance. I showed the clerk and the manager the online coupon and they agreed the exclusion was not on the their coupon but still refused to honor the deal. . and to boot ...VERY RUDE manager

Meijer pork chops

My Wife bought some Pork Chops Monday and fixed them Wednesday evening and after frying them there was about 1/4" of water, not grease, but water in the skillet. Is your Meat market adding water to their meat products to raise the weight of the product ?
We also bought a bag of Michigan Apples that were marked Gala Apples but when we got home and opened the bag they looked more like Delicious Apples. After cutting into a couple we found they were Brown inside, not bruises but brown throughout, like they had been frozen. We deal with Meijer's all the time not only for groceries but for everything else.

Meijer gritty or sand like texture in mix

I bought Meijer pumpkin pie mix made my pies and the pies tastes like it had sand in it had to waste 2 pies and throw them away I had that brand a lot of times before but decided I will from now on stick to the libbys brand we had no dessert for Christmas day

Meijer dressing rooms

I like shopping at Meijers
And I love going late night.
But I am done with this store. I was there about
1Am and I wanted to try on Jeans and I was told no.
The dressing rooms close at 10pm. Due to other people steeling. The people who your going to make money off of has to treated like criminals as well.
Keeping the dressing rooms locked isn't going to stop.the ones from steeling Wake up. Your punishing

Meijer grocery

I'm fifteen. My mother and I went to meijer for our weekly grocery shop and surprisingly my mom bought wine for her and my father for dinner. And like always I helped her bag the food and also bag the bottle of wine. When it was time to check out the cashier asked for my moms ID, which I was expecting, but the cashier also asked for mine. I said I didn't have one. And the cashier said they can't sell my mom the wine because I touched the bottle of wine. My mother didn't like that policy. Use some common sense meijer, what if it was my little 8 year old brother helping my mom bag. Would they also ask for his ID? Come on at the end it is the parents responsibility if the child is the one drinking, but helping bag them shouldn't be an issue. Like a bagger, who helps out the chaises bag, they're not all 21+ they just helping the costumer. Just like how I'm helping my mom (the costumer.

Cashiers are only required to check the ID of the person purchasing the alcohol. I was a cashier there and made sure I had that info correct. Your cashier didn't pay attention in orientation!

Meijer food safety

I was just at the Meijer location on the East Beltline in Knapps Corners. I had my care just about full but wanted to go through the deli section. As I was passing the fresh produce I notice some Kale on the floor in the walkway. I see one of the workers step up and grab it off the floor. I think, ;good man nice to see an employee that cares.; But he then took the Kale that was wet from the washing spray and places it back on the shelf with all the other Kale. Yep after hundreds of people who walked in whatever trampled on the floor a wet bundle of Kale sat there for who knows how long, and he put it back on the shelf for people to buy. Pushed up against all the other bundles next to it on the shelf. I asked him what he was doing putting food that was on the floor back on the shelf. His response, "It gets washed every 15 minutes." I'll assume he was talking about the light spray wash that they spray on the produce on the shelves. Yeah like that will get rid of E coli.. So I tell him to get the manager. After 5 minutes the manager comes. I complained about the guy picking up produce off the floor and putting it back on the shelf. His response, "Well you're supposed to wash it before you eat it."
Do you feel comfortable eating produce that was on the floor in the aisle of a busy grocery? I don't. And I'm certainly not a germ-a-phob. I used to work in a garbage transfer station.

Meijer vizio tv sold by meijers

I bought a vizio 42inch tv at meijers in august, 2012.in february, 2013 the tv went dark.
I did not buy a warranty but I did expect the tv to last longer than 18 months.

Meijers offered me $25.00 for my trouble but I declined. I paid $532.00 + tax for the tv.
I feel that meijers part in all of this is that they are selling defective merchandise from vizio.

Meijer accused me of shoplifting

I was at fast lane 105 when an employee confronted me and asked what was in my pocket, It was my iPad, he asked me if I found everything all right. As I preceded to exit the store the alarm went off I stopped and came back into the store the man asked to see my receipt and preceded look into by shopping bag to see if everything matched up, which it did. He then ask me to unzip my jacket and asked what was in the middle in my chest, It was a heat pad strapped to my chest because I had to ride my bike a 1 1/2 miles in 10 degree weather. Because I have a Sever traumatic Brain Injure I am ineligible for a drivers license. This is the 2nd time I've been inconvenienced by Meier employees. The first time happen in 2010 when the cashier and manager refused to sell me Henry Weinhard Vanilla Cream soda Because they thought it was BEER and said I was to inebriated, when in fact I was an Lunest prescribed by psychiatrist and one of the side effects is day time drowsiness. Is this the type of employee customer relationship that you encourage. If I don't here back you, this letter will go viral on how you treat handicap people. Tim sidebottom P.S. My lawyer/guardian will also receive a copy.

I never stop if the stupid "buzzer" goes off at Meijer or any other store. If they have a problem, let them run after me in the parking lot. The minute some dope from a store touches me it is lawsuit time.

Meijer discrimination

I am complains because every time I am at the meijer on 26 and van [censored] they always have the people with disabilities working outside. It is freezing cold and has been nonstop snowing and they have this poor boy shoveling. His face was so red and I always see him outside no matter the weather. I always talk to him and he says he can't complain because he has a job but he is cold. They also have a lady who's face was extremely red with a disability getting the carts in the snow. I just think that I would feel better if I seen different people outside in this weather so I know they were being treated fairly but it's obvious they aren't. It's really sad.

I think they meant to post, that the disabled lady's face get because of the cold. They just worded it wrong.

"or wear a one of those ski type caps that pulls down over the face, leaving the eyes and mouth exposed. "

Also good for robbing banks and other things you are not supposed to do. :D

Meijer misleading sale sign

The Meijer on Plainfield in Grand Rapids frequently has sale signs in the produce dept but when you check out the item will ring up at full price. This happens so often it is ridiculous. This happened again yesterday when I bought oranges. It seems like every time I buy bunch carrots when listed 5 for 5 they ring up at full price. I don't know if the person whose job it is to update the sale price in the computer system is lazy or if its Meijer's policy to cheat people. This also happens on other grocery items as well. I visit the pricescan machine every time I shop to make sure to get the sale price.

Meijer customer service

Ive been shopping at the meijer store in Bloomingdale since it was opened. I know most of the employees and greeters who have always treated their customers with respect. After tonight, I will probably never shop there again for the (big shot) near the service desk..believe his name was Nole or something like that certainly needs a refresher course in customer service. After waiting forever to get my overcharge credit, I simply asked a question regarding their hiring policy and was rudely talked to by him. Plenty of applicants, takes time..blah, blah, blah. I strongly suggest that this guy gets a retraining on how to talk to customers due to the fact that the way I was talked to has made me decide to boycott the store forever. I dont ever want to see him again.

Meijer employee

I was checking out at Meijer today at a self check out. I shop for my sister with triplets and shop sales with coupons. Today I got 4 packages of feminine supplies as I had 2.00 coupons to use. The attendent named Ron H at the Meijer on 28th and Kalamazoo Ave came to my register as he was "red flagged" as he put it. He had to dig out all the coupons I put in the coupon slot and 1st accused me of only using 3 coupons when I had used 4. Oh...he finally found it. Then he looked in my bag and said I only had 3 items and I said I had 4, when he took everything out I had 4 just like the register tape said. I told him I felt like I was on trial for a serious crime and he said that I just didnt like what he was telling me. He was rude, never apologized for the 2 times he was wrong and never smiled. He is the worst Meijer employee I have ever come across. I will never step into the 28th/Kalamzoo Meijer again. I was unnerved and he wrecked my whole morning by being so rude. MH

Meijer missing food!!!

I opened my lunch-umms to discover there is no cheddar cheese! I got ripped off : (it is suppose to have cheddar cheese and mozerella cheese, but there was no cheddar! And it wasn't opened so it was missed completely in factory.
