I went to a McDonalds tonight... I am soo upset. I ordered a double big mac combo, supersized it and got a mcchiken sandwich. I then said I wanted Diet coke. The guy says why are you ordering diet coke, that makes no sense... I was silent and felt so embarrassed... he waited my answer. So I said I like the taste better. Then he said well that makes no sense. I had to wait for him to give me a lecture on how bad diet coke is and that I should be ordering water. The whole time im holding my money ready to pay. Finally I say, can I just pay for my meal and he told me the total. I don't need a lecture from Mcdonalds employees implying that I am overweight and shouldn't be drinking pop. How dare he tell me I should order water instead. What can I do to get some justice? This isn't my first complaint with McDonalds because of service. Just a few days ago I paid with a $20 bill and she got upset saying that she didnt have the change for a $20... Shes like dont you have a $10... I can't take $20 bills. I responded by being upset and saying is this not a food chain, how can I not pay with a $20 bill... I get upset when my order is wrong, but I can see that happens... But honestly these things I will not keep dealing with. Oh and ask for the manager and she says I am the manager, what do you want me to do? The same "manager told me she was so upset that wendys was closed because then she has too much business and just wants to go home. Telling me I shouldn't go there because she has to work harder. Why am I expected to deal with this when I order a burger and fries?

I'm not sure that anyone reads these comments that can make a difference but I'm willing to try. I have to ask McDonalds why they changed their muffins? Your muffins were so good and our family ate lots of them, now you have changed and I've tried the new ones twice, first time I thought it might be a bad batch half baked but nope the second one was no better. I've heard several people complain about this including McDonald's staff. For the love of God don't change your coffee it's the best just wish I could get an eatable muffin to go with it!

my husband went to macdonalds in Kitchener on Ottawa st. in the plaza. it was Wednesday night at about 1140 and ordered a quarter pounder. he was told that no quarter pounds any thing else. so he got a big mac with no cheese. the big mac was not up to standards. it did not have the spwcial sauce, picles or onions on it. the customer service was terriable. the girl who took the money and gave food was rude and said that they threw the quarter pounders out. and that they close in ten minutes. I have worked in food service and never have I shut down the grill before 2 minutes to close. also always had extra on table in case f last orders. it was not satifiactory service and the vurger was terriable. thank you for your time and hope the girl gets fired and the macdonalds team is more aware to customer service.

We go to McDonalds practically every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Over the last couple of months, I have been taking account of the operation at
this particular Restaurant and I have found the following. Depending on which cahier you get, you will not get the correct order, you will be short changed, but the extra money will be immediately returned if you tell the same cashier. In addition the television is on, sometimes if it isn't out of wack with the satillite (can't they set the dish correctly) and is always on the AMERICAN CHANNEL C.N.N., Do they not realize "THIS IS CANADA". They have two (2) TV GAME MONITORS, for over a month only one (1) has been operating, in-fact it is torn apart sitting on the customer table. Another matter is on practically a daily basis they keep moving the "HANDICAP PARKING SIGN", to make room for deliveries. The one thing that really gets me and a lot of other customers is, "One till being open, when the service area has people crowded up to the door", will not open until the crowd is bickering and complaining. Even now with the new order machines operating, a second till only opens for those using the machines, for one (1) minute to collect from those using the machines, one at a time, then closes, including when it is so crowded a person has trouble moving. IS THIS HOW McDONALDS OPERATES OR DOES IT NEED A HALF-DECENT MANAGER. And if I only order COFFEE, I can wait twelve (12) minutes
to get it, while McDonalds staff are visiting, this has been reported to the MANAGER (if he ever comes) and staff numerous times. WHAT IS THE USE OF COMPLAINING, NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE (not with the restaurant Administration, as is). You might just as well tell customers,

My husband and I went to McDonalds on two separate occasions for breakfast in the last two weeks. The first time we got there at 10:55 and was told they would not serve breakfast as it was too close to 11 AM and then breakfast would be over. I didn't kick up too much of a fuss because maybe my watch was wrong and happily went somewhere else for my breakfast. Last Sat. takes the cake though. I was at a different MacDonalds in our area for, you guessed it, breakfast. It was 10:45AM so we had plenty of time. The line up was long but nothing seemed to be happening. Then, bang, the menu changed to their burgers and fries etc. The guy in front of me tried to order breakfast but was told no. Then they went to check to verify and still said no. It was NOT 11AM yet, and there were A LOT of people waiting in line for breakfast who had not been served yet. The guy in front of me even said guess us the egg mcmuffins you have sitting there that you are going to throw out and then still said no. I said it is not our fault you couldn't push us all through by 11 and that we shouldn't be made to the disappointed ones. Just serve us breakfast and we'll all be happy. They just stood there looking at me like I was speaking a different language. Now I'm not one to complain but this is TERRIBLE service! What ever happened to making sure a customer was happy? I know a lot of people in line left that day. As much as I love McDonald's I'm not sure I'll be going back. I think A&W is just down the street and I bet they'll be MORE THAN HAPPY to serve me breakfast, especially knowing that they may have won me over from McDoanlds. Not a happy camper in Halifax NS!

Wrote a complain about the manager on Austin street, in Coquitlam, B.C. Tried to send it to this email address: success@mcdonalds.ca and I got a message back from postmaster that says: undeliverable,

That doesn't make sense. I was able to add this email address to my list of contact. Doesn't it means that it's a valid address.

The manager at that McDonald is very rude to people using their laptop and staying there a bit too long.

He's on a bit of an ego trip. and is friendly to his little group of regular customers.

Should get a big crowd of people with their laptop occupying all the tables and ordering only coffee.
I'm hoping this complain will reach someone at head office.

On Oct. 29th I stopped home the family didn't want to cook anything so the Mrs. and myself drove down to our usual McD's for dinner to go. We ordered 2 big mac meals fries and drinks large sized and a dbl burger cheese drink and fries large sized, and for the dog a single dbl cheese burger. Seemed simple enough and yet only 5 mins away we live and we got home the food was hot (which was a plus) but!... One big Mac was missing! surprise, surprise. I called and complained and they gave me a poor apology. I went back received my Big Mac and when I got home I also had a fruit pie in the bag. Apology or did they mix up someone else's order? Time and time again this happens. The only reason we go to the Trenton store near the 401 hwy is Janice their morning window person. She's the bomb! the rest could learn.

On July 28, 2013, I went to the drive thru at the Millwoods town center location in Edmonton, Alberta. As is the usual when you go thru the drive thru I was asked to park and wait, this has been an ongoing complaint for at least two years. A manager, Emmerson Garcia, delivered the order to my truck, at which time I voiced my complaint to him at which time he told me that " if I did not like it I should go somewhere else". I'm not sure if things have changed since I worked in the SERVICE industry, however, I believe that these people are being paid to serve and the customer is always right. Once again I do not believe that a Macdonalds employee should be telling customers to go somewhere else to get their food. perhaps Macdonalds should start to provide the proper indication or signage before entering the " DRIVE THRU " to what is really the intent of " PARK AND WAIT ". If I wanted to " PARK AND WAIT " I would have parked and went inside. I have lived four blocks away from this location for close to 7 years and visit it every weekend to buy my nephew pancakes and sausage breakfast, it is the same ritual every weekend, I get asked to park and wait. Ridiculous, , , , , , I believe that rather than look for a different place to get my food that manager, Emmerson Garcia, should be looking for a new place to get a paycheck. There are a great deal of kids that go to Macdonalds to learn to work and the training that is being provided to these individuals is at best a d grade training. I am going to continue to go to this location and when asked to park and wait, I will do so in the drive thru. If the customer does not come first and the drive thru is really a " PARK AND WAIT " then that is what I will do. Much like this sight it is not for complaints it is for comments or there would be somewhere to provide my name and contact information so that the customer may be satisfied.

I travel to Trenton, Ontario every morning from Belleville, Ontario and every morning I stop for Coffee & a Sausage McMuffin and I am greeted by Two Lovely ladies that brighten my day and start my day on the right foot. They are Nicki & Catherine . They work well together and are happy and pleasant to everyone. The restaurant was recently renovated and a few people left that were also amazing but I am so pleased with Nicki & Catherine that have taken their place. Lindsay is another long time employee that makes me smile. Great job ladies ... I thank you for the bright spot in my day ...

I am so angry at McDonald's right now. I just moved close to a McDonald's location that I have only been to twice before during the day. I went there at 11:30pm to find all the doors were locked... the lobby was closed. Online I found that the lobby at that location is suppose to be open until 3am. I decided to walk through the drive thru so I could talk to someone and ask what was going on. The woman opened the window and said "I'm sorry we don't serve customers on feet" so then I asked if I could speak to a manager. She then said "have a good night" and closed the window in my face and locked it. I have never had such a horrible experience anywhere in my life! I was denied service during their operation hours and denied the right to ask the manager a question about their hours. I am never going back and will be calling Monday morning to talk to head office about this experience as I can not believe that they let their employees treat customers like garbage!

Seems like some McDonalds franchises (mainly store #1690) are preventing you from providing headquarters with feedback, which is very deceiving. By cutting off the store number at the bottom of the receipt in order to prevent customers from entering the online survey, people cannot really tell the headquarters how they are truly servicing their customers. What is worst is that I have witnessed managers from some of these franchises scheme with their employees to treat customers with disrespect and rudeness. Well...HEADS UP TO MCDONALDS HEADQUARTERS: McDonalds #1690 is horrible at providing service, staff are often fooling around all behind the counter. the washrooms and restaurant is often left very dirty with spills unattended to, they are rude when you try to use any coupons, and the worst is hiding their store number from customers, so that headquarters think they run well with no complaints. Pretty sad. I and many other people I know have moved on with other fast food places and have blacklisted McDonalds from their meals because of the poor service and food from this specific franchise. Sorry to say, but this franchise is making McDonalds lose customers!

Here's the funny thing, all you people that constantly complain about said place, yet you continue to go there each time adding yet another issue to complain about?!? Ever think of say stop going there and feeding them more money to grow and remodel? Who the hell needs to go to a fast food place like McDonald's and watch a 42" LCD tv by the fireplace? I think some make it way to much of a lifestyle.

I feel bad for the customers who have to deal with really ### service. I work for McDonalds, in London Ontario. For the person about the deit coke, yes, it is pointless. But it's rude. That person shouldn't have said anything. For the most part, our jobs could be replaced by machines. Really. The customer could drive up or to a McDonalds, punch in their own order, and the only people who would really need to be there, are people making food, and trouble shooting, ( for people who can't type) machines can take your money. but McDonalds decided that we wanted to give a " customer experience" and show great " hospitality" which is really what our jobs are about. People should consider how they would feel if they had received this kind of experience. How it would feel to them if they were judged for what they ordered, or if their order was wrong. The customer is the one who is actually paying your salary. You should show a little more understanding, and more compassion for what you actually do for a living. I'm not saying that there aren't really rude customers, and that McDonalds workers are the worts, not at all. But, realize what your job purpose really is. Yes, it is to make food. But more importantly, it's to serve people and make sure they go home happy. With that being said, customers should also show a little compassion. It's not always easy, most days were really busy, and half the time (well at my store anyways) the managers have no idea what's happening, and fighting about stupidness with the crew. If we both werea Little more relaxed, and more understanding, things would run a lot smoother on both sides.

I created this page because I got food poisoning and Corporate wont even listen to me because I am just a person. However I'm the third this spring to be sick from eating at this location, so there is a problem. I attached receipt of purchase, and trust me when I tell you I haven't ever been that sick. I spent the day eating with my girlfriend however decided I'd have an extra snack before supper. The next morning she was fine and I started throwing up before Saturday garage sales. The only difference was the Mcdonalds and I still find it hard to believe because their food is so processed I didn't believe it could go bad or get contaminated. I was unable to eat for an entire week due to food poisoning, but on the bright side Mcdonalds helped me lose ten pounds that week (last week).

This has happened more than once but I'm sick of listening to the timers beeping continually while trying to eat breakfast or lunch at Macdonalds.. It's happened numerous times (almost every time) that I've
have visited your restraunts. May I suggest that you inform your franchises to turn down the sound down to bare minimum as it is very annoying to listen to.

Not impressed with the lack of customer service at the Keswick, Ontario McDonalds off Woodbine Ave, Its mothers day, my kids wanted to get their mother breakfast as part of their gift. Sat in the drive through for almost a 1/2 which was starting to get frustrating. Finally get to the first window, the girl at the window tells me to pay at the next. Finally they get the order together which was 2 big breakfast, 2 pancakes and sausage, 3 coffee, two orange juice and two extra hash browns. Finally get home, no hash browns in container with the big breakfast, no syrup or butter to go with the pancakes. Now the kids and my wife are disappointed, how may people do you know that eat pancakes dry. I phoned and asked to speak to the manager, he gets on the line. I explain to him that I am not impressed. His first comment was what do you expect from me, he then proceeds to say he had several staff call in sick and it is very busy. I explain that my kids purchased this for their Mother for Mothers day and what i paid for and what was missing and his excuse was he was under staffed, and very busy. I said to him at this point very annoyed with his attitude, So now you expect me to drive back costing me on gas, wait in line for 1/2 hour again for our butter, syrup, hash browns and now actual breakfast will be cold and that he obviously isn't going to drive what his incompetent employees have neglected to put with my purchase. The manager then hangs up on me.
I have been in the customer service business for 30 years. One you do not tell a customer, you are under staffed and to busy to service a customer properly, and you do not hang up on a customer because of being under qualifed to handle a customer complaint properly. This manager should not be in this position. As being a business owner and in the customer service business, he should of said Sir let me take your name and when you come back to our location we will rectify the poor service by one offering eg a free big breakfast for the inconvience. And not make the customer feel that, one sorry I messed up your order, two sorry your children that got their money together from their piggy bank money pooled together to suprise their mother, did not get properly.

This manager not once appoligized, he automatically got defensive, and put all blame on his employees. And again hung up on me which is very improffesional

. I feel that this issure should be addressed and one compensation should be offered. I would like a reply to my post at aee48@hotmail. Mothers Day. Date this happend was May 13, 2012 appox time 10-10:30 when the purchase was made at $27

McDonalds at Port Union road rips off the employees and dont pay for all all our hours we work. They dont hire brown and black people.Ali and Nandan treats us like slaves, and in fact thinks we are slaves. We are told to use out of code products so gross because they over order and is too lazy to move stuff around. If you are a girl dont work there the male managers will harass you and feel you up.

So, you order a Double Big Mac, a super sized combo, and a separate Mc Chicken sandwich...And you wonder why the general public (and Mac Donalds crew members) are disgusted with your choice of a Diet Coke? (Do you really think that coke will redeem your glutenous ways?)...It's an ignorant move on your part. First, Diet Coke does not taste better than regular Coke. You're just used to it, and probably the aspartame will get you long before the sugar would. ...You are killing yourself !...Your food addictions are related to unresolved conflict(s) in your life...So, why don't you man-up and get the help you obviously need and stop trying to make others responsible for your problems...Mac Donalds is not required to cosign your ###.

This is what I found when I went into the downtown McDonald's in Vancouver's Tinseltown Mall. These photos were taken during operating hours and only on the single visit. One photo shows the workers sharing cell phone photos with each other while another clearly shows an employee STANDING on trash. the pile up of wet floor signs suggest that employees chose to put a new one up rather than bend over to pick up the dropped one...Despicable.

I am a student and a part time employee at my local store, I work in the back mainly but on occasion I take orders. First of all yes we do laugh at the diet coke thing, but NEVER Up front only in the back or before shift that will get you fired in a heartbeat. Second, if I wear my uniform and then go to KFC and swear in front of a child you cannot do jack ### about it, you can sit up on your high horse and think he got fired, but more than likely he never heard of it because off the clock they don't control you. Also not all stores are the same, I admit I have been to other stores and had a order messed up and I have messed up orders in the past but I strive for order accuracy so if you get the wrong food POLITELY inform us, of peole are kind we help the. Out and they'll get the meal for free but if you are a total ### who thinks you are better than me just because I work at one of the most demanding jobs then all I have to say is sorry you already took your food and ask you to leave, because we will miss the $5 a day but of we lose the attitude, then it's worth every penny. So next time you go to a McDonald's or any fast food joint, try to be respectful some of us are full time students working 40 hours a week to try to succeed in this world so we can do without your attitude and try to be polite you might notice we make your visit a bit more enjoyable whether it's faster service or a free coffee when you look like you've had a rough day, if you treat us like human beings we may just return the favor.

As far as the pros and cons of drinking diet coke go, when you are paying for it you don't need advice from an acne farm in a paper hat. The sense of entitlement of these idiots defy belief. In Brandon if they want to get employees they have to pay $18.00/hr. or they can't get anybody. They can travel 100 kms to the oil patch and take homed over $2000 a week. My last meal at rotten Ronnie's consisted of fries and 2 wraps with a DIET COKE all served room temperature. It took three tries to fix the debit machine and then I had to pay through another till. The food may have been heated at one point but I'm not sure. If you deserve a break today go to A&W it's way better tasting anyway. Their muffin n' eggers are GREAT!

I went to the one in Red Deer, north end. I drove into the take out line up as did 3 other cars. Coming from the opposite direction was the bobcat for snow removal. He started waving his arms at me, the staff were yelling at me to move. I am not sure where they expected me to move to. I told them I have 3 cars behind me so where am I supposed to be move to? The kept yelling move, the bobcat guy was throwing his arms around and his finger!
Now if you could read or write would you not put a sign up saying not to enter the take out line, or if you could not read or write would you not put a barrier up?
That about sums it up. I finally got the bobcat guy to move and I left. Didn't order a thing nor will I ever go back. Pretty sure to work there you need an IQ of 13.

I went to McDonalds once a year or two ago, and asked for a Quarter Pounder with Cheese WITH NO ONIONS. I got to the table, and guess what... ONIONS on a burger wrapped with a note saying NO ONIONS. So I took it up to the counter, 10 minutes later I got my replacement WITH ONIONS. So I asked for a manager. Of course, some girl about 18 wearing a different colored t-shirt comes up. I explained what happened, and she took the whole meal and both burgers and threw them in the trash. She ordered me all new stuff, so it would be hot. It came up and she checked it. IT HAD ONIONS. lol. She threw it out, and went back to talk to the master burger flipper. 10 more minutes later, I got a hot meal. However, they ended up throwing away more food then they served me. I haven't been back.

I was at the 152 st./102 Ave Surrey location tonight when I noticed the staff wasn't wearing hair nets or gloves. One of the ladies bent over holding onto a large fry when her long hair rested on the fries. I brought this to the assistant managers attention and was told they don't have a hair net policy, it's up to each employee if they pull back their hair or not. My
husband also commented on the boy picking chicken nuggets with his bre hands and ws told there's nothing wrong with wht he was doing. I ws totlly discussed nd will never take my grandchildren back to a McDonld again.
Everyone working with food should have to take the Food Safe program! Aparently McDonald is above the health standards.

WTF...who the hell do you people think you are, they charge a rediculous price for their crapy coke, give us attitude, treat ppl like we should give them something or actually deserve a bit extra for actually getting an order right. (which dont happen very often)...just left there ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers, without pickle...what do you think i got, huge pickles, and no bacon. they advertise "value menu" 1.39 each...cost me 3.89 for two. Imagine the dollars they ripped ppl in just today only. The workers have no respect, and if they aren't dumb as sin, they why can't they get a simple order right. As far as the diet pop thing, they shouldnt have absolutely not one word to say about it...as far as healthy...there is nothing there that is healthy, but unless you think we are dumb as most of the ppl who work there, we dont need your comments about it. MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE, DO NOT HAVE THE EDUCATION OR DEDICATION, TO KEEP A REAL JOB, SO THEY GET UNDER PAID AT CRAPY MCD'S ...AND GET AWAY WITH IT AS THEY CAN'T GET DECENT WORKERS. But, you would think they could try...takes more effort to be mean and nasty than polite!

Actually toopooortoplay a few years ago someone claimed that they only had stickers for non healthy food, and that they should have it on food such as salad.

I am a senior on a government pension in canada and as much as I appreciate the prices at McDonalds I was very disappointed that I am unable to participate in the monopoly game because the pieces are limited to the mcdonald purchases that I cannot afford
I would like to see that every item on the McDonald menu have a monopoly game piece so that everyone can play and not just those who can afford to play
