McDonald's long wait in drive through

After going grocery shopping i took the family through the Mc Donald's drive through to get something to eat i place my order and payed for it as soon as i reach the second window to receive my order they had told me to go to the waiting bay i was waiting there for 6 minutes when i got out of my car and walk in to see what was happening i spoke to the supervisor on duty and ask what was happening with my order then i received a response that the order is not ready yet where still waiting on the cheese burger's and we will bring it out when its ready i waited 10 minutes for my order while i could see cars going through the drive through with no hold up at all this. To me is not exceptable to call a fast food restaurant to wait 10 minutes for a order to be completed just to receive the order cold anyway and the attitude that i received when i spoke to the supervisor should not be part of the business either.

McDonald's false advertizing

I feel something should be done about this. To me it is false advertising. It is also a large National Company. It is to do with McCafe. A part of McDonalds.
Big posters behind the counter and on the paper tray mats offer a special deal.
The sign reads Coffee and muffin $5. It is followed by or slice or any bakery item.
I asked for a $5 deal but I’ll have a scone. “Sorry Sir, It doesn’t include a scone. That will cost you 6.90.”
“But it says any bakery item.”
What is a scone if it is not a bakery item?
On its own a coffee costs 3.80.
A slice is 3.50
A Danish is 3.70.or 4.40
A scone is 3.10
In the 5.00 deal I can have a Danish or slice but not a scone which is the cheapest item.
1st. I was wanting the cheapest item.
2nd. The sign did read ANY bakery item.
I feel this should be sorted out.
Thanking you,
Gordon Heyward

PS. This happened at McDonalds in Merivale Christchurch.

McDonald's rip off

I would watch the Mcdonald's commercials and like an idiot I fell for the idea that I could win something. Oh, yeah they have no problem giving away free small pops or small fries, but you just paid $5 for a value meal. Whoopie! So you go back thinking you can get different pieces, especially when you only needed like one for every area, but you always seem to get the same pieces. So you play online. Well that sucks, because you can only play 10 pieces in a day and then the dice never let you go to an empty space you always go to one you have. Of course you can win o free computer game. Who cares! What ticked me off is when I had Park Place and I rolled the dice(I always count my spaces) and I should've landed on Boardwalk and it didn't move me far enough. It shorted me one space. Come on Mcdonald's you guys are ripoffs and tightwods that you can't be honest with your customers AND PAY THEM THEIR TRUE WINNINGS! Ripping people off and losing customers will eventually catch up to them.

McDonald's poor service

We visited this restaurant, yesterday May 29---and, were----very upset with the service!
To start with---we stood in ---line---for 30 min. ---before our order was taken! There was---one cashier on duty! The line-up was back to the entry door---probably at least 20 people! A lot of people turned around and left (they were the smart ones)
Then----it took, at least another 15 min. to get our order! We have ----never seen such poor service in any McDonalds Restaurant we have ever been in! (Also, the workers were not---wearing gloves while handling food!)

I went to Mcdonalds Restaurant 1 morning to get a quick beakfast befor work, there was a short line up at the drive through, so i went inside, only 1 person in line, i put in my order & as i was waiting for about 15 min. as i watched numerous cars go through the drive thru, i noticed the young fellow filling orders for the drive thru wearing blue jeans sweatshirt & baseball cap packing food while constantly wiping his hands on his jeans & sweatshirt, lifting his ballcap running his fingers throught his hair, then i see him putting hashbrowns in deepfryer with his fingers. Ihad lots of time to see this because it took so long to get a single egg mcmuffin

I guess I don't understand how you can walk into a fast food joint, see lines to the back of the restaurant, and still be angry that there is a wait. Rushes cannot always be predicted and employees call in. Some things are out of the control of the restaurant.

I call ### on the 30 minute wait. And even if you did wait that long it's your own fault. You're not a prisoner, you can make your own decisions. Obviously you chose to poison your body with disgusting food, so I guess smart decisions aren't your thing. Am------I------right------?

Were the only issues the long wait and workers not wearing gloves? In some states, workers do not legally have to wear glove while preparing food, as long as they wash their hands at regular intervals.

I worked at McDonalds for 8 years during high school and university. I have to say that it sucks that you had to wait so long, but crap happens. I remember big crowds coming in at unexpected times (over 100 at 7am once), and we just had to work our butts off. Personally, I always tried to smile apologetically and be friendly, but there is not much you can do.

Was there workers standing around talking? Was it a time of the day where it would be expected to be busy? How many workers were in the whole store (including kitchen)? Was the register worker deliberately unfriendly? Was the register worker trying to compensate for the rush? Did they look like they wanted to cry?

I am not saying you should not complain. Complain to management (or franchisee or corporate) to get more workers on. It took my store TWO FREAKING YEARS to get someone to cover a huge rush we had every wednesday at 11pm. If it continues be persistant.

The McDonalds in Johnstown PA, especially the one on Napoleon Street and Lyter Drive are notorious for taking forever in the drive thru. Their customer service is one of the worst around here. Forget about getting a thank you or smile. They shove the order at you and shut the window so they continue to socialize with their co-workers and don't care if they failed to give you napkins or straws. Be sure to check your order before you pull away from the window because 80% of the time something is missing.

I went through the drive through today (the one by Giant Tiger) after ordering a Big Mac meal, got home and my fries were half full and my burger had no pickles, onions, one slice of cheese and a very little sauce and lettuce. She passed my drinks to me and dropped straws and I had to ask for her to give me a couple more. They were not busy but they are sure willing to take your money and not give you what your paying for.

How long does it take to prepare an egg mcmuffin then? Mcdo Ozamis sucks! They got me twice. Very poor service. Managers lack the ability to supervise and monitor their crew. Just this morning I ordered 2 egg mcmuffins and I was told it will take 5 min to prepare. But their 5 min was multiplied by 4 and I starved as I waited for my breakfast. When it was delivered to my table, I asked why it was delayed and the answer was, "nadugay pagdeliver". Wow! Thats some excuse from a global fastfood chain. Now this is a disgrace to the whole Mcdonalds community. That is not fastfood... that is slowfood. The crew also lacks the adequate training and product orientation. A year a go I ordered a taro pie and I was given an apple pie placed in a box/pouch that says "taro" pie. Can't they tell the difference or they just lack the system to be efficient. They better not stock rodents poison near the kitchen least they serve that to their customers.

McDonald's refused entry during tornado siren

My mother was in the drive thru with my three yr old son and had already placed her order when the tornado sirens started going off. She went ahead and payed for her order and was told to pull ahead. She decided to play it safe and parked and took my son inside to seek shelter until the sirens were over. This was right after the devastating tornado had hit Alabama so she wanted to be safe. Two other women also in the drive thru with small children did the same. When the three women and children entered the restaurant the manager and another employee told them they had to leave because it was against their policy to allow anybody in the restaurant after the sirens have started not even their drive thru customers! They left the children to wait it out in their cars. I find this completely immoral and lack of respect for human life. Thank goodness a tornado did not actually touch down or my mother and son would probably not be here and McDonalds would be the reason why!

Brendas would have been good had it been true. It was the managers job to make sure their customers were safe and she blatantly disregarded and forced people to leave that were already at the doors. If it had been myself taking my son I wouldve gotten her name and made sure she did lose her job for going against company policy and no I would not support her and her family for disregarding mine but unfortunately I was at work in shipping making sure all truck drivers and visitors were safely inside even though we have no policy stating I habe to. Just because Im human unlike some.

Im not in England. We go by pounds here in the USA. And im sorry but this has to do with a restaurant going AGAINST their policy and putting small childrens lives in danger. This is the first time I have ever posted on a message board and the last because the only comments I have received are very silly.

Update by melmac

Actually I spoke to a McDonalds rep and their policy is to make sure all their drive thru customers are inside. They are not aupposed to let anybody in after they lock their doors. Their doors wete not locked. No actually the sirens were the warning. Your insensivity to small children is repulsive and the problem with people today. You would feel differently if it was yourself Im sure. And I weigh 123 thank you very much. I wasnt even there. I was at work stupid. Some of us do that instead of sitting on the computer looking for people to insult. I wish a tornado would suck up people like you giys instead of the innocent lives they take.

McDonald, s on Parish Ave. in Owensboro Ky is poor on service, you buysomething to eat there and you got to almost beg to get any salt or sugar. You go to the drive thru you got to check to see if you get everthing at the winow, if you pull up then look if you have to go in you got wait forever and rest of your food gets cold. And if you eat inside the place is always dirty to me.

I can understand why they may not want you in the building. They may not have room for you (or the only safe room may have a safe or employee's belongings), and if you were to hang out in the lobby with all of the windows your life would still be at risk.

I agree with you, melmac, how awful and terrifying for your mother and child! Natural disasters bring out the worst in people or the best! I could care less what store policy was, there it is immoral, wrong, and ethically inexcusable! I hope that your mother and child are safe, and not a causality of such a tornado. I would contact McDonald's headquarters and get that subhuman manager fired, especially, if that wasn't the policy of the restaurant.

Izzy,
Do you have a heart? Maybe grandma couldn't cook lunch because their was a tornado warning, or she was out running errands! Are you the mother of a toddler? Grandma could have been out, and decided that her grandchild needed something to eat! Sometimes little ones cannot wait any longer to eat, or do prefer to allow the child to go hungry? Have you ever dealt with a toddler melt down? As long it isn't a frequent habit, there is nothing wrong with getting fast food for your kid once in a while! At that, are you a working mother? Why don't you get off your high horse and learn compassion? It is fine if your a stay at home mom, but some people have to work and don't always have the luxury of making a home cooked meal everyday! Who cares! Her child and mother could have died because the manager was a [censored]! You don't have kids, because if you did, you would be outraged if your child and mother, were intentionally put in danger, because of the jerk manager! Maybe you should have fast food once in a while, then maybe you wouldn't be such a ###, and the nutrition police! Eat something, your too skinny ###, a slight breeze will make your skinny butt fly away, when it isn't seating on a broom!

McDonald's servive

I am writing to inform you of my dissatisfaction with my visit to McDonalds on May 27th, 2011 at 7:49pm. Unfortunately, my enjoyment was spoiled by a number of organizational problems. During this visit, my out of town guest and I were treated rudely during the ordering/payment process. During the ordering process I was cut off prior to completing my order, then as I rendered payment I tried to explain I had not finished ordering to which I was told (in a harsh manner) “that the staff is on a timer”, had my credit card snatched from my hand and the drive-thru window slammed. The cashier processed the payment transaction, snatched the window open, slammed credit card and receipt into my hand, slammed the window closed. I then proceeded to the secondary window where the order is to be retrieved and asked for the manager. The young man at this window motioned for the manager who looked in our direction, the continued what he was doing previously. The young man again called for the manager who again looked in our direction but did not respond. I then instructed the server to forward our order to us and I parked my vehicle and went inside to speak with the manager about this situation. As I entered the store, I overheard another cashier yell to the cashier at the drive-thru “he’s coming in, do you want me to handle him?”, then I was approached by a employee who introduced herself as “Arlene Parker” and asked if she could assist me (this lady was GOD sent). I began explaining to her what had just transpired when a young man entered the conversation and introduced himself a the manager on duty (Willie Scott) and I continued to explain. Willie guided me to a neutral location where he gave me the names of all involved and instructed me to contact Mrs. Juanene Motley. I was given a list of names along with the contact information for Mrs. Motley and I left the facility. I phoned Mrs. Motley on 05/28/2011 @ 7a.m. but she had not arrived so I left a message for her to contact me.

Umm... we are talking about McDonalds, correct? What the hell do you expect... you go in, place your 4 dollar order to some pimple-faced, punk kid, receive your artery clogging food and move along like a good little sheep.

If what you seek is fine-dining and robust conversation, take your damn mistress to a nice restaurant - end of story.

I work for Mc'Ds but i have only been there for 6 months and i fill that is way too long to be there, my store doesn't really care about time cards as you said they just change when food has gone, fries are never thrown away after their sell time and as for syrups and milkshake sauces well i don't think i have ever seen one thrown away unless empty. I have been bullied myself, verbally and only once physically, i had my shift manager grab my wrist and try to make me sit down while she shouted at me and put me down, she then persisted to laugh at me for my shaking when i was upset and other issue's where arisen. I am a hard worker and will do any task asked of me and those that are just common sense, some of the job's i have to do my manager's would sit and watch and would never think of doing (A man was sick in the men's urinals and it blocked the whole thing i had to go in and scoop it out into bleached water and my colleagues all stood around me to watch). I have to go to work every day and know that my name will not be pronounced properly and i know it's on purpose as they know it annoys me now (my name is Gemma, not that hard to learn and also very common now). It's not very easy at the moment to find a job and it's that, that they hold on to and abuse, they know you will find it hard to find an job so life must be made even harder for you. I too am afraid of not getting a good reference from them I don't know about any where else but to give a bad reference is not aloud, but doesn't mean they have to give a good one. I have argued enough times with shift managers and even once or twice with my store manager about the way people treat me how i am penalised . I am a very hard work as i have mentioned and i am also very strong willed but i am very afraid to tell me manger's what the single person is doing to me every shift, oh just a quick question I have been burned so many times by the fries basket and have scars to prove it is there anything i can do now?

if anyone can help it don't work for Mc'Donalds they are so bad there.

McDonald's rudeness from the staff and wrong orders

me and my friends went to mcdonalds for the day, coming all the way from tonbridge, we stopped at mcdonalds in brighton! we got our food and they got the order wrong so we went and said to the man who took the orders and asked for a refund for the one burger! and he was very rude and wouldnt give the money back and also whilst we asked for it to be refunded my mate was eating his burger and the guy behind the counter snatched his burger and put it in the bin!
so altogether 2 of my friends didnt get there meals and didnt have any money left!

Yours Sincerly

If this issue gets resolved and they agree to give my money back please contact me on [protected]... thanks...x

McDonald's staff rudeness

i was on my way to pick up my granddaughter from school and on my way i thought it would be nice to get her a macdonalds. i pulled into the drive through at the bromborough complex store and sat waiting at the automated machine for someone to take my order. after sitting there for ten mins and realizing i was going to be late for my grandaughter i went in side. inside there was one girl serving absolutley caked in make up who told me the till for the drive through had gone down, i told her maybe someone should have gone out side to let the people know who were waiting she replied with theres not enough people here to be going outside. there was no one at the counter and there was about ten staff behind so i told her i could see plenty of staff. her reply was go away im not serving you i dont like your attitude. excuse the pun i was gob smacked. the manager then served me and i told him that her attitude and her make up flaking off over the food was going to lose him custom. i no for sure i will not be going back, what a horrible person she was.

McDonald's management

At our small town, local McDonlads in Walton NY we have a serious problem. A manager that continues to use his position to abuse employess. On one occasion a female employee gave the customer in front of me the wrong sandwich, the customer informed the young lady of her mistake and she couldnt appologize enough. The manager an older man with white hair whos name is only known to me as Don began yelling at the employee and called her a ### in front of all the customers. This manager has also been heard calling a male employee a ###, idiot, stupid and the hardest thing to swallow about this...the young man is actualy severly mentaly challenged and just smiles and walks away he loves working and says nothing to defend himself because he isnt capable to defend or is scared to no longer be able to work there. Ive not been a customer of this local business for some time now, I couldnt stand to see this to continue with nothing being done and in truth i wouldnt trust that my food wouldnt be tampered with if i were to complain. I was infomred that complaints have gone to the district manager and still no change in the situation. At this point several customers that live local have decided to no longer frequent this esablishment due to this situation and it seems even corporate does nothing to stop the abuse of their employees. I have no direct knowlege that COPORATE knows of this situation so this is COPORATES wake up call. You have a manager that is abusing your other employees and he has no fear of doing this in front of customers and no fear of any action being brought against him . I wonder how long it is going to take before one or several people file a suit against this chain because of this... video cameras are all over, this manager should be aware of this.

I'm not impressed by the poor service i received today, i got treated like a complete fool in front of several customer's, something really seriously needs to be done with the Manager at the McDonalds at our Local Walmart store, as i said before, we should be treated with more respect, because we're behind the reason for their paychecks.

McDonald's brownies

I purchased Brownie bites. Got home and they were deep fried- rock hard and smelt like chips n chicken nuggets. Why are desserts being cooked in oil that has cooked other foods. They stunk and tasted so bad i spat it out. Why are these apart of ur M selection range? They are not fancy at all! And definately would not be suitable for my 8 yr old nephew who i purchased them for, lucky i tried them otherwise he would of ate them!
Would really appreciate a reply and explanation as this has turned me off MacDonalds.

McDonald's filth of restaurant

I took my young grandson to McDonald's on Monday as I often do, just not this particular McDonald's. I have to say I was astonished at the deplorable condition of these premises. While a 1/2 dozen or employees chatted at the front the place was in shambles. Garbages everywhere overflowing, tables and floors covered in litter, and the floors and tables were filthy. Even the windows in this place were filthy. I would not allow my grandson to play in the play area because the grunge was just too much, I don't think the place has ever been wiped down since it opened. I don't usually complain but this place was UNBELIEVABLE! You would never consider taking your shoes off in that play area for what you might pick up! I am sure noone cares, but felt better at least letting the rest of the public know to stay away from this place unless you want to get SICK!

McDonald's bad lettuce on sandwhich

I purchased a #7 meal. The crispy chicken club had expired lettuce on it. I have taken pictures of this lettuce. Please see attached. This is very disturbing to me due to the risk of Ecoli or just overall food posioning. What really upsets me is that my daughter and I had the same exact sandwhich and the only reason I saw this was becauseit had to much mayo on the sandwhich. So in other words, I would have ate food that was bad with the potential of causing bodly harm. I want to know what is McDonalds going to do about this before I pursue other measures. How long will it take for someone to contact me directly? [protected]@yahoo.com

What a bunch of losers the people who are making the comments are. These restaurants advertise that they serve fresh food fast. Is that fresh? The woman has every bloody right to complain, ###s.

McDonald's wroong charge

Today: Several of our freinds bought ice cream cones tonight and were charged the regular price $1.07 --we had a flyer with coupons on it and at the top was not a coupon but it said ice cream cones--50 cents. we were all charged the regular price and when we asked the lady in charge, she said it did not apply--that it was the Evansville area only --but she did not read it well for it said Evansville VIEWING area, which we are in, channel 14, 7, 25 and 44 . Our experience has been better than this before and we were frustrated to say the least for our group is there about 3 times a week for our supper and some of us more than that.

McDonald's orpington, kent

I went into Mcdonalds very quiet, well behaved, am nearly 40, but sadly only look under 18 still. My partner got up and went down the bins to look for food as he was desperate. I am very hard up myself, but I feed him everyday, put him up in my home free of charge, I do not work due to health issues, had operations in my lifetime as I been abused regularly due to age discrimination etc. I did not know my partner did this and a young girl half my age starts giving me very unpleasant looks then starts calling me a scrounger, shouting this at me, then starts callin me a f word c***, then threatens to hit me. I stiing there not knowing what I done that so bad, she gets up just about to hit me, shouting at me continually, as I been abused so much in my life, been persecuted for what others are doing everywhere I go, it happened yet again. After 40 years of this, I unfortunately shouted back telling her I done nothing wrong and about age discrimitation I suffered. she continues threatening to hit me and smash me up. I brake down crying, the manager comes over to me and demands me to get out of mcdonalds and I crying and not stopping. Manager says Im not your counciller, If you dont leave now I get you forced out of the shop. I said I didnt deserve all this as I was sitting down peacefully not causeing any problems at all. And this is actually on camera all this. The manager didnt want to know while the girl behind was f in and blinding me continually and I was in tears. The manager said I am disturbing all the public and there children and the manager wanted me out of her shop. I feel I have been treated very unfairly by this manager a woman. Didnt get her name. The girl had children, I got a grown up child that now 18. I feel I have been treated extremely badly and it should have been this girl thrown out not me. I was very calm after just a small outbusrst and only stuck up for the truth. After I was very calm with the manager and she too called me a scrounger and falsely accused me of going down the bins with this other girl. All I said to the manager was I didnt deserve this injustice. It on camera to prove I didnt do this. My partmer was not thrown out just me only. It total injustice this, and I would like an apology from this lady manager and this girl for threatening me like this continually, when I didnt even respond to the young girl. I did nothing wrong to deserve all this and want this manager sacked for doing this to me. Thankyou. Ms Colby. My e-mail address is [protected]@yahoo.co.uk.

McDonald's service

I spent $23.79 for breakfast with the family. We go here all the time. We asked for extra syrup for the hotcakes, we were told "no" -- BY THE MANAGER -- who was working putting orders on trays. I said: "We just spent this much money and you can't give me two extra syrups?" He said "no" again, turned his back, and said: "Have a nice day." I said the same thing, again, louder. He turned around and said: "I WILL now give them to you, but I will charge you for them." I walked away.

People came up to me and shared that they were disgusted, especially with my family there. People I did not even know. My son's hockey coach was there, he started telling everybody who came in about the incident. As I think of it, I will tell everyone about it at the West Chester Chamber of Commerce meeting this week -- 140 in front of businesses.

What a disgrace. Before I looked at advising them on their website, I went back and looked at last month's Discover charges, for our McDonald's spending each month. WE SPEND OVER $120.00 A MONTH AT THEIR RESTAURANTS. They could not give us 25 or 30 cents worth of extra syrup? Should I broadcast this on all the other web sites?

Disgrace...AND IT WAS THE MANAGER! Do the staff take their lead from him? Service?

They have to do better to regain my trust and loyality.

I went to McDonald's In Glasgow the week before Christams with my family, I ordered a vegie dely due to being a vegy for the last 30 years. When biting into the deli I noticed their was no vigie but infact meat. After being sick I complained to the manager who offered another burger. i refused and emailed customer service and advised rather than give me a voucher for violating my human rights and causing me disrtess I wanted them to donate money to a charity of my choice as compinsation.

Today they send out a £10 voucher to spend on burgers in their store.

I called to complain and their response and i Quote from Joe Cuffaro "We dont give to charity and the vouchers stand. If i want to donate that to charity I can"

I advised him that this was a violation of my human rights and I would take legal action he basicly told me he did not care and for them the matter was closed.

Companies like these only care about profit and not the customer they should not get away with this. If they spent more on training staff than changing uniform designs every few months their staff may one day get an order right.

Mcdonlad’s customer service
[protected] @ 10:30am
Ever since the Mcdonald’s renovations last week at Bayly in Ajax, I feel that, their service have taken a s step backwards. Food is not warm enough, waiting time has increased and everyone behind the counter seems to be much disorganized.
There are more staff members to serve but the direction seems to be off. Managers occasionally pop their head out to monitor the unsatisfied faces of the crowd which consistently complaining about missing items or wait times for their food delivery.
Mcdonald’s have done well to bring back the people which were lost from other competitor’s fight for the market share but if they fail to provide adequate service may decrease such advantage and lose those returned customers for good.
I hope it doesn’t happen as I love the convenience of fast food experience, especially Mcdonald’s.

You're going to be the joke of the West Chester Chamber of Commerce if you waste everyone's valuable networking time away from their own businesses squealing about not wanting to pay for something that costs the company money. You do realize Chambers of Commerce are made up almost entirely of business people?

Civic organizations exist to benefit their communities. The ones who are successful at that do not operate like middle school cliques where you can call for mass boycotts over 25 cent butt-hurts instead of talking it out like grownups.

And if you bothered to check your chamber's membership directory, I will bet you $1, 000 that this McDonald's, like most of the franchises, is a paid member. McDonald's and other large corporations like to be community partners and this is one way that benefits both sides.

If you want to draw childish little battle lines because your butt wasn't kissed for your $120 per month, you're going to find most sensible, mature people on the side of McDonald's.

But please do come back here and tell us how it goes! We could use the laugh.

$23 for breakfast for a family is not a lot of money. Who are you kidding? Syrup isn't free and you SHOULD pay for it. They give you some with your purchase and if that is not sufficient you should be charged.

Also, how rude to say your same statement louder when someone already tells you "no." You sound like an entitled ###. $120 per month? Lay off the McDonalds.

PS: Buy your own damned syrup.

McDonald's service, food quality & management

To whom it may concern,
I have never in my life experienced such bad customer service and food quality . McDonalds at Victor Harbor would have to be the most mismanaged, unsupervised store that I have come across. The below incident that I have just experienced is not the first one of it's kind, and yet it continues to happen and nothing appears to get done.
I have just returned from there after ordering 2 x 6 nugget meals, and a triple cheeseburger meal, I was ONCE AGAIN asked to sit in the waiting bay, as there is a wait on the nuggets, 15 MINUTES! later my meal finally arrives. I have a quick look, all appears good BUT OH NO, SURPRISE, I have come home with 1 nugget meal, 1 cheeseburger meal and 1 triple cheeseburger meal ALL OF THE ABOVE COLD!
No use complaining to management about it (as we have at least 10 times before) as she is usually looking uninterested, and talking to you like you have a disability, unacceptable. They never offer compensation, and majority of the time you don't even get an apology.
I am disgraced by the service we receive from this franchise, I can emphatically say that I would rather travel the 35 minutes to Seaford and get Hungry Jacks or Red Rooster, at least I get what I ordered and always with a smile and politeness.
McDonalds will no longer be receiving my service.

Thanks for nothing McDonalds

I have to agree with all the comments made about this store to date. I will NEVER eat in this restaurant again as long as they continue to treat their staff the way they do. I would NEVER hold a children's party at this restaurant and expose them to the abuse the staff are subject to. Sitting in this restaurant I very quickly lost my appetite as I observed one particular manager yell and bark orders at the staff. Unfortunately if you as a customer are unlucky enough to be spoken to by this woman you too will receive the same treatment as the staff. I have since been told this woman is the franchisee. I would NEVER let my child work in this type of environment and be bullied the way the staff are. I understand this is a fast paced environment but there is no need for the abuse the staff are subject to. If the franchisee at Victor Harbor is reflective of all franchisee's I will be avoiding McDonalds in general. The Fairwork Ombudsman needs to be informed!

It is all about the complaints from the customers but the staff are expected to work without any penalties and to fulfull when other people are sick and not allowed to take sickes when needed causing the health issue of food and clients, customers all being put in the predicament of someone not well passing on their illnesses to staff, customers etc. etc. The owners of these franchises need to take responsibility for hardworking staff doing above what is expected without penalties and sick leave!

Hi Michelle.
I too have experienced very poor customer service at Victor Harbor McDonalds...Infact so bad they should send in mystery shoppers in there every couple of days, just so McDonalds head office can see whats going on! I can name a dozen people who have also experience the inexcusable service. I wanted to talk to the manager about my experience but they couldnt care less, so now Im left with decision of taking it up to a higher level. One of the staff members said I was a joke and rolled their eyes balls round at another customer because I asked for a refund.I said to her "You do realize I can hear you ?" she said "I DONT CARE" out loud to everyone in the restuarant ...this particular employee was probably be about 50 to 55 years old! I couldnt help to think perhaps shes on some kind of centrelink placement program "work for the Dole ". Anyhow who works at McDonalds when their 50? I guess thats another story.
THE BURGERS ARE BETTER AT HUNGRY JACKS!
ITS THE FLAMES THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
Such a shame this has happened as I really do like Macca's Coffee.

McDonald's poor customer service

You are right Mcdonalds South is notorious for bad customer service not just once but each time we go there.
We now check that all meals are in the bag but lately we have had to open all the boxes to ensure the right product is in the right box.
Get your act together kids and management as you are being voted for the worst Mcdonald not only in Australia but the world.
Every time I go in there the floor near the chip fryer is covered in chips OH&S would be all over you guys
imagine one of the kids slipping over and accidently grabbing the hot chip fryer/oil to pull themselves up of the floor. This is so dangerous and an a bad accident is just waiting to happen.
More emphasis on product training and OH&S policies are required to bring this restaurant up to national standards. I have worked for Mcdonalds and the charade and chatter that goes on is ridiculous less play and more work will ensure customers get their right orders.

Dec.1, 2011 @630pm Joni at the register asked what I want instead of what can I get u. I told her I want a #10 meal. Then when I get my order I don't have my fries so I asked the woman that put my order together she tried to say Joni didn't charge me for a meal when clearly Joni did. Joni messed up 3 more orders while I was there! Then Joni had the nerve to come apologize to me only because her manager made her. But never once offer me the fries she charged me for! I have two small kids and we eat a lot at McDonald's but I will never eat at this location again! Joni needs so customer service classes or needs to not be on a register. I work with the public and if I ever acted the way Joni did tonight I wouldn't have a job!

Today I went through the Mcdonalds s drive thru in Casper Wy and while I was placing my order the drive thru employee Lauren cut me off, gave me my total and told me to drive forward even though I hadn't completed my order. I drive forward and the woman at the window takes my money and when I informed her (come to find out she was the morning manager and her name was Linda) that I hadn't finished ordering she just walked away. When another employee came near the window and it opened I stated to Linda that I didn't know Mcdonalds now decided when a customer was done ordering she stated that they didn't. At this time she had 2 chances to allow me to finish my order but failed to do so. We finally get our food along with an attitude from Ms. Linda and as we are pulling away my 16 year old announces that she is laughing at us.. That just topped off the total lack of customer service that I received'. The irony in this was that the order that didn't get placed was mine and I was actually hungry and as a cancer patient I don't actually get hungry very often anymore, . The Mcdonalds in Casper Wy nearest the mall totally sucks, I am highly recommending that no one ever go there|. When I got home to Riverton I did call and speak to the night manager and he wrote down my complaint and said sorry;. No offers for coupons, no offers for anything other than I hope that you come back'. I doubt I ever will as it seems that no Mcdonalds cares anymore about customer service, trying to keep a customer, or doing anything to make up for rude and horrible service to the offended customer?. The night manager at this Mcdonalds did inform me that when he does have a difficult customer he will mutter his feelings under his breath, I sort of found it odd that while I was complaining of bad customer service he is telling me that he practices that same disrespect for his customers but just not as obviously as the morning manager did!. I guess disrespect for your customers is a common practice at this Mcdonalds.

McDonald's no gloves/terriable service/non english

As I was ordering I was asked in spanish what I would like to order. I told the girl and guy because this has happened more than once. I do not speak spanish. Than he and she both made a comment about me in spanish. Never said I did not understand it. As I looked towards the back workers preparing the food I noticed they had no gloves and no hair up. Why would the place that used to be the best place to eat become the worst place to eat. Each time I also noticed the floor and tables dirty. So I told them to just refund my money I walked out. If this place was this dirty I can only imagine what comes out at night.
