How do these people stay in business, worst customer service as far as repairs, I have dealt with in my life. One day they didn't even show-up, and didn't bother to call!
A junkman hauled my Maytag Model SAV515DAWW away earlier this week. The main bearing went out twice, it didn't rinse and the only thing it did well was vibrate. The repair people always blamed what was wrong with on something I did. To remedy the vibrating, they had me put sandpaper on the floor. The rest of it was just enough to get me off their backs. The last repair guy drove past my house and sat under a tree down the road for an hour and then drove away with stopping. When I called the service company I asked I if he had said he'd been here and she said yes. I was in disbelief. He drove right past me in the driveway. I had to go through setting up another appointment. My clothes smelled so bad I was starting to wear perfume before I figured out what was wrong. I bought a used Kenmore that works great for $199. The irony of this is - I just got a reminder notice to renew the service contract for $292.39 for another three years. The $199 was a bargain in the long run.
maytag appliances and maytag dependability plus service contracts suck. They are the biggest ripoff!
we bought 3 new appliances 4 years ago and the contracts on two of them are now void due to the contract
limit clause where the total costs of repairs exceeded what we paid for the appliance. this happened with the
dryer a year ago and just happened to our dishwasher today. i am livid and will never buy any crappy
maytag products anymore!
