This past spring my family discovered these people advertising puppies, and all that was required to reserve one was a $100 deposit to be placed on a waiting list. Well, we waited. And waited. My wife saw puppies posted to Facebook that totally circumvented any sort of waiting list, offered to the first person to claim it. Obviously we now saw this operation for the scam it is. When confronted with the issue that we were not offered the puppy, even though our deposit had been accepted and we were on this mythical list, the people running this scam became extremely belligerent toward my wife. We were then informed that we would receive neither ANY animal nor our deposit back. Here's where they get you folks. The "application" required the deposit which is refundable until the application is accepted. After acceptance the deposit becomes non-refundable. And these people can apparently decide at any time for any reason that you will never receive an animal and your deposit is forfeit. So after "acceptance" of your application, which is really just your $100 check or money order which will be quickly cashed, they can keep your money and owe you nothing. As a small business owner I've never seen such unprovoked hostility, unprofessionalism and ineptitude from anyone calling themselves a legitimate business or breeder. At this point complaints have been filed with the AKC and BBB. Maybe they are legitimate. Their actions and attitude lead me to believe otherwise. I would urge everyone to look elsewhere.
All our deposits are non refundable, have been for the last 7 years. We only require a 100.00 deposit to be placed on our waiting list, that is to process the application, call vets and references. That fee is not only toward their puppy, but MY TIME. That way i make everyone sign that they acknowledge that all deposits are non refundable, when they turn in their application which it states clearly in the application.
They also knew and understood they were non refundable. They were not only offered a dog once, BUT TWICE. both times they declined, via the proof of messages attached from Facebook. Client said she didn't have time for a dog at this time, and that she would be interested for next year for a puppy. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS LATER SHE CHANGED HER MIND CAUSE HER HUSBAND SAID HE WANTED ONE. They were placed back on the waiting list, and offered a puppy a second time, they decline again cause i needed a answer in a timely manner, and she than started these complaints, demanding her deposit back and even reporting me to the BBB...but the BBB had closed the case because nothing in their complaint was true or fact. Nothing in this complaint on here is true or fact.
