Match.com refund not received

I had cancelled my subscription with Match.com but the next 3 months payment was withdrawn from my bank account. I first contacted them on the 31st Oct and was told I would receive a full refund. We are now on the 21st November and I am still waiting. I have phoned on numerous occasions to be told that the money was refunded on the 2nd but nobody seems to listen to the fact that I haven't received any refund. I have sent emails to the customer team that haven't been responded to and when I phone I am told that someone will get in contact with me - I am still waiting. The customer service is absolutely appalling. And I am still minus a refund of 119 pounds !
My client number is - [protected]
What I would like is a full refund of the money owed to me

Match.com hackers and scammers

I'm starting to feel match is the biggest scammer of all. Someone has hacked into my account and taken over it. So some lonely soul will be scammed and match will do nothing about it. I have asked match to close my account and send me a refund. And the response is nothing. Since someone has hacked into my account I can not get into any dating site. Seems match is more interested in our money and not our happiness which makes their tv add a joke. Don't expect a second date from any of our scammers, we are only interested in your money. I may have to write to match the rest of my life because I'm not stopping until I get a response. The biggest joke is I still get emails from interested men and cannot view them.

Match.com can't access my account that I paid for today

I reactivated my account today using my same email and password that I've always used, and paid for a 3 month subscription. It opened my account, allowed me to change my profile and change pictures. Then it locked me out and said I could check my email for the problem. I never received anything, so I went to this site for help and do far received no help.

Match.com scams and hackers

I have complained several times and will continue until I get a response. I was having fun util my account was hacked. Since then I have complained with no response. You would think someone would want to help you but no, no way. I guess they do not care about their customers. Someone hacked my account to scam innocent people. Does match care, no they don't care. I will continue to write complaints until I get a answer. All I want is for match to delete my account and refund my money. Match is known for the site for the most second dates. That is a joke.

I promised myself that I would write a complaint everyday that match does not contact me. A hacker took over my profile and is probably scamming some innocent person. Match knows about it and chooses to do nothing about it. I have asked that my account be closed out so no one can con anybody else. I even reported a scammer and they did nothing about it. I'm warning people do not join this site match.com. When I could not get into my account match sent me a email so I could reset my password. When I got in I noticed somebody's picture replaced mine. Not thinking I deleted the pictures and put mine back in. I should have closed the account but was not thinking. MATCH is a scam. Did you get that MATCH.COM IS A SCAM.

Match.com cancellation problems

I subscribed 8/8/16 and within hours had seconds thought and tried to cancel my subscription. Since I had sent one message, I was told that I could *not* cancel, but my subscription would *not* be automatically renewed. Incident: [protected]
Response By Email (Neal B.) (08/10/2016 11:36 AM)
Dear Maryginia,

I appreciate the time you've taken to contact Match and I'm sorry to hear that you would like to remove your account.
It appears emails have been sent from your account. Unfortunately, this makes your account ineligible for a refund.

Based on your request for a refund, I've taken the liberty to turn off the automatic renewal feature so your credit card won't be billed in the future. You'll continue to have full subscriber benefits until the end of your subscription on 11/08/2016.

Warm regards,

Neal B.
Match Customer Support

Based on this email, and since I was going to pay for 3 months subscription, but with the guarantee that I would not be automatically renewed, I activated the cancelled subscription to use Match for my 3 month paid for subscription. I noted that my subscription would end on 11/8/16.

I checked a few days ago and saw that the end date continued to be 11/8/16. I noticed today that i was continuing to receive emails with Matches, so after work today (11/9/16), I logged in and saw that now my subscription would last until 2/9/17, which was *NOT* what I had been told would happen. I called Match and spoke with a representative who told me that I could not be refunded my new renewal of 3 months. I asked to speak with her supervisor. The supervisor spoke with me and reiterated that I would not receive a refund.. that the best she could offer would be a one month subscription and a $18.02 rebate. I stated that I didn't think that this was right or fair and asked to speak with her supervisor. That 2nd supervisor was in a meeting and I was told that this 2nd supervisor would call me back. As the office closes at 5pm Central time and it is now 5:16pm Central time, I am not sure that I will receive a call back.
Plain and simple - I strongly feel that I should not have been charged another 3 month subscription ... I strongly feel that the new charge should be FULLY refunded and my account cancelled effective immediately.
I am prepared to continue to write to the powers that be with match.com in the pursuit of what is right and fair.
Please feel free to email me at [protected]@gmail.com or contact me via phone [protected]. I am very dissatisfied with Match.com currently and its policies in this particular situation.
I look forward to resolving this issue equitably and fairly with your company so that I can positively speak of Match.com with my friends.
I look forward to hearing from you and receiving a refund for the automatic renewal that occurred today, 11/9/16.
Sincerely,
Tamara Mason

Match.com not being able to get into match and when I did someone else was in my profile

On 11/7/2016 I could not get into match it said email or password was in correct so I finally got in after changing password. My profile had been hacked with photos of someone else. I deleted the pictures and put mine back in. Later I deceided to close my account out and could not get back in. I tried everything. I want to close my account so nobody else can use it. I thought this was a great site and would have never joined it if I would have read all the complaints. I'm not worried about money because after getting scammed with senior soul mates I closed my account out on 10/31/2016

I can't get into my account even with emails to reset my password. Someone has took over my account and I'm upset because my hard earned money paid for the account. I feel you have not done your job to protect me. That is what I pay for. What I want is you to respond to this email and tell me you have deleted my account and I will get a refund. Your reviews aren't very good and if I had read them I would not signed up. I know scammers are a problem because I reported one and you did nothing. If you can't control scammers at least you can protect the people that pay you.

Match.com I tried to cancel and the system still processed an auto renewal

I went thru the cancelation process and the computer never sent a confirmation. The web site gives nothing stating a confirmation is needed. The day before may end date 1031 I changed my profile stating I was no longer a paying member. On 11/2 I received an auto renewal receipt.

I called the customer care department and they were not willing to help me.
The second level customer care person was incredibly rude and keep interrupting me, not letting me tell her my concern. She just kept repeating I would not get a refund.

The first person offered 2 of the 3 months refund but I said I no longer wanted the service and wanted a complete refund. (two years of subscription). The icing was when the second level person said she did not believe I cancelled and since I requested second level She would not give me any refund.

Match.com unauthorized charges and fraud

I signed on for the service in April 2016. One month later, I met someone (not on this site, which seems to only have inactive members). Since I already knew how sneaky match.com is with their auto-renewals, I wanted to make sure I don't get charged again in 6 months, so I MADE A POINT to IMMEDIATELY CANCEL my subscription. I KNEW I needed to do this to not get charged again. So, I cancel, I believe it was May 17, and never logged back in since a) I was now in a relationship, and b) I thought it was all taken care of. Then this morning I got a notice in my email saying I was charged again for the next 6 months. WHAT? So I called their consumer complaint hotline and they have the audacity to tell me that I reactivated my account a few days after I canceled it. I DIDN'T. I NEVER logged back onto the site, much less reactivated it, and I know this for a fact. That's a blatant lie and I'm really, really mad. I'm even more pissed off that they're only offering me a "partial" refund, even after I told them that this is fraud, that I never reactivated it. I mean, how convenient for them, right? Just blame it on the consumer that she "reactivated", and still pocket half of the payment. I don't know if it was a computer glitch or them fraudulently reactivating my account, but either way they refused to work with me on getting a full refund and just blamed it on me.
On top of it, as a dating site it sucks. Most members are not active, and I didn't get one date out of it, when I never had any issues on other dating sites.
If you value your money and actually want to date, STAY AWAY! It's a scam! Not only did I waste my money to begin with, now I feel like they unlawfully pocketed my money while refusing to work with me on getting a full refund. ESPECIALLY considering I contacted them the same day they charged me. I can't remember the last time I wrote a negative review. But this is the worst customer service I've ever encountered, I haven't been this mad in a long time, and I'm going to write a negative review everywhere I can. What a rip-off.

Match.com auto renewal is a fraud

Match.com's auto renewal is really a fraud. Most customers don't even realize that they signed up for auto renewal. It's hidden in the terms and agreements. And the only way to turn off the auto renewal is to CANCEL your subscription. Otherwise, your credit card will be charged. When I called them and requested a full refund. The rep said that they never give full refund, they can only do a downgrade. In other words, they will only give refund of $34 on a charge of $98. This is Fraudulent and really annoying to all customers. I am going to file a dispute with my credit card, AE. They say they will help me. we will see how that comes out. Please try to stay away from Match.com to protect yourself.

I closed my account last year and now I see charges to my credit card on 10/02 for $9.98 and 71.97... And again on 10/03 for $9.98 and $71.97... Please credit my credit card account and make sure my match account is closed...

Match.com auto renew is deceptive

IF you want to stop auto renewal charges from match, I strongly suggest you delete your profile from their site. I thought I stopped the auto renewal, I clicked the ‘auto renew’ button to stop auto renew. But when I looked at my bank statement, match had automatically withdrew the $107. I called to request a refund and was told the only way a subscription is NOT auto renewed is to CANCEL the subscription BEFORE it is renewed. What a racket! If you want to try online dating try a site called ‘plenty of fish’. It’s free.

Match.com instalments still taken after cancel

After joining match while they had an offer on I was not interested in continuing so I logged in and cancelled my subs in time. Or so I thought. Match have continued to take a ridiculous amount of $44 gbp a month of my card?! This is crazy, I hadn't logged in to my account as I suspended it knowing that I didn't want it. Seriously crazy amount of money to be taken from your credit card.

Match.com unauthorized paypal charge

I had a paypal payment to Match.com 4 days ago. I contacted match.com today and told them that I had not authorized automatic renewal of my subscription. They refused to refund the payment saying that my account was set up for auto renewal. I know that I went in to my account when I first opened it and turned off the automatic renewal (which they do not even tell you is turned on in the first place). I told them that I would dispute the charge through paypal. So far I am unable to figure out how to do that through paypal.

Match.com online dating

Company can bombard you with purchasing BUT refuses to give credit when cancelling I am living out of the country and just received my statement. Called to cancel and get credit and was told they don't give back credit. What a ripoff ! How can this continue? Why isn't there a class action suit. Surely, they should not be permitted to refuse to credit what they charge if you are no longer using it.

Match.com no refunds even if it's their fault

Id like to express how unprofessional and unhelpful this company has been. I tried canceling my profile two months ago and then a few days ago saw they took out another payment for 6 months after trying to cancel two months prior. After speaking to two reps from the company, they were not able to give me back the refund of $68.50. It had also been pretty clear that i havent been active on my profile for months and using common sense (Which them and their employees seem to lack) it would make sense as to why i tried canceling my profile two months ago. Wouldnt that make sense to anyone with a brain?! Clearly their website or app had a glitch and didnt get the cancel confirmation and now theyre making it my problem by not giving me a refund for the 6mo membership they recharged me for this week. Does that not make sense to these idiots? Is $70 really that important to them that they cannot give a refund to a loyal customer for years mind you?! Technically they already got me paying for those 4months when i wasnt even using it, but then theyre going to charge me for another 6months when their website clearly had a glitch when i tried to cancel?! Theyre not even willing to give $70 measley dollars back to a customer, obviously because $70 is really important to their gigantic company. Its not really about $70, its the principle of it. Making their website or app glitch their customers problem and making them pay for it over seventy dollars.

Match.com my account was blocked for no reason, no refund was issued

I enrolled to match.com on and off for years, the last time I enrolled my account was blocked, my current email is still blocked, I reached out to the customer support, they confirmed that my account was blocked but did not specify why, they said that once i agreed with their service agreement (although I did not violate any of them), they can't say why my account was blocked and can't issue a refund.
to say more, I have never had any criminal record, I went on a couple of dates in which I became friends with the girls i hangout with since there was no chemistry between us, but never had any issues whatsoever. This was the answer i received:

Match.com cancellation membership with prior notice/explanation

Totally cheating website! Do not waste your money!
They charged my credit card account $77 and cancel my membership without any notice! I requested to know the reasons of account cancellation and asked for a refund but the reps never tell me the reasons except they receive a validity-issued subpoena. That was the most ridiculous request i've ever heard. Who is going to spend their time and energy to ask for a subpoena just to know their reason? They are rude and don't treat customers respectfully. They are very unethical company, avoid them at all! Then I asked for help from my bank - wells fargo. After they did some investigation, I got my full refund. Guys, contact your bank! They will protect their value customers and dont let match.com take your money in any ways. Company like that should be closed by the federal long time ago. Do not let anyone to be their victims.

Match.com charged my credit card for 6-month subscription without my authorization

I was searching Match, com to see if there were any "new" profiles. When I did this the subscription page came up and then it instantly went to "congratulations! you have reactivated your membership". There was no credit card info and I did not give my consent or authorization. They charged my credit card for $119.94 for a six-month bundle.

I called Match's toll free number 6 times. The call centers must be over in India or the Middle East as everyone I spoke to had an accent and was impossible to understand. I was hung up on, and put on hold indefinitely for 4 out of the 6 calls I made. I was told each time I was ineligible for a refund.

Each time they asked me for my email, my phone number, my date of birth, and my zip code. When I told them I would subscribe for one month, they continued to tell me I was "ineligible" for a refund of any kind.

I have been a member of MATCH on and off for over 20 years. Match.com is a complete rip-off and I would strongly suggest you avoid this dating site at all costs. They are not customer service oriented, they are dishonest and by reviewing this site, I see I'm not the only one who got ripped off!

Match.com did a similar rip-off on me, until I realized their tactic. I paid for an "Introductory" membership, and being underwhelmed by the site, I decided to terminate my membership. I filled in the information and clicked "send; then another screen was forced upon me to confirm my intention to terminate. Again, I filled in the information and clicked "send", and again another screen was forced upon me to discourage my intention. I decided that I had sufficiently communicated my decision, so I closed the browser without jumping through the third hoop. That's why they were "authorized" to charge my card without my approval or my awareness. I discovered the charge on my statement and cancelled the card to stop their thieving.

If your card carrier will not reverse the charges, then they believe the charges to be legitimate. That means, that they believe you were given ample warning of a charge at the time of purchase, and do not feel the charge is in error. Now as you state being a member off and on for 20 years, I have to believe that at some point you have used the internet to renew your subscriptions. If you have used the same card for these subscriptions, the card company has some indication that you know how to use the website in question, and have authorized these charges in the past. Simply speaking, you have clicked YES previously, more than once. Therefore, they believe, as do I, that you did so again.

I was going to ask how they got your card info, but I can see from your post that you have been a member for 20 years. If you did not authorize the charge, then instead of jumping on here to complain about it, call your card and contest the charge.
