I, unfortunately, recently bought into the MVC after working with one of their sales teams going over, in intricate detail, how I would be using the MVC program. Of course during the sales process there were no problems with using the club for my purposes. When it actually came time to use the program I purchased the primary features of the package, as described and verified by the MVC sales team, were totally misrepresented making this package useless for my purposes.

The reason for this posting is to see if anyone knows of or has used an attorney to successfully terminate an MVC package. "Successfully" meaning voiding the agreement with all funds returned. I've wasted enough time going back and forth with MVC executives and their mouth pieces and it's time to take it to the next level.

Thanks

I was sold a three day weekend at the Marriott Vacation Club in Las Vegas then offered an upgrade to a two room villa for an additional cost. I was told it was more roomy for the modest increase and the rooms were separated by a door so if I took along another couple there would be adequate privacy. All I had to do wad agree to attend a 90-minute sales talk regarding the Marriott Vacation Club. I was transferred to another person who booked the weekend and the funds were immediately taken from my card. I was told this deal was non-refundable. A couple of weeks later I receive an email telling me I must call their customer service number to "finalize my reservation." This seemed strange being I already confirmed my reservation and funds paid. On this last call I was basically told the same thing as the second person who took my money. Think this strange I confirmed the reservation was for the upgraded two room villa suite and was told "no." Since this was supposed to be a conversation to "finalize" my reservation I then asked for my money to be credited back to my card as I no long trusted doing business with the Marriott Organization and let alone the Vacation Club and I am certainly not interested in joining giving what is obvious "Bait and Switch" sales techniques. Beware! T. Corral, Aptos CA

I was actually able to get out of my contract and just received the refund for the down-payment money today. I did not have to use an attorney. I contacted Jill Jackson (info below) and she was instrumental in getting my case to the higher-ups that can make the decision to let you out of your contract.

I have the exact same problem and would like to know if you've had any resolution. Maybe a class action suit is what needs to happen next.
