Majic Window - Windows

We had our windows replaced in October. Two of the windows they had to come back and "fix". One of the windows was supposed to be a "frosted" glass window. I have called and asked for an update on when it will be in and no one can seem to give me an answer on when it will be in. The other window was supposed to have a ledge built in. Majic Window Windows

March 2021

$11000 to replace 10 windows

6 service calls

The people that I talk to only tell me “it’s not their decision “ when I say I want all 10 windows replaced due to operational issues, air leaks and overall performance.

It’s pointless to try to talk to anyone in charge.

No return calls.

Service people appear limited as to what they actually repair.

So all in all, here comes another cold winter inside my house.

If their response after this complaint stating that all issues were resolved, it’s just another lie.

Desired outcome: REMOVE ALL 10 WINDOWS AND REFUND MY$11000

Majic Window no communication

I've been trying for several weeks to reach the company and my salesperson to cancel my order. I emailed the company with no answer and emailed my salesperson. He replied and told me to call him. I did and left him a voicemail which he never returned. He had no problem calling me several times to get an appointment to come out to sell. I've sent him 4 additional emails to call me but no response. My windows have not been measured or cut so I would think I can still cancel and get my deposit back.

Desired outcome: cancel order and refund my deposit.

Majic Window The cost of the windows and deceptive disclosure

I purchased 10 windows and a sliding patio door for $16, 000 in 2017. I had $300 dollars a month taken out of my checking account faithfully. the contract was 3.99% with a consecutive payment of 236.40 with magic windows. I was told that magic window co will finance the loan in-house. I was unaware the loan was sold to Sound investors at 14% with a total cost of 32, 000 total for the windows purchased. I owe 11, 000 today in 2021 after 4 years of direct payment of $300 a month. I realized the deceptive agreement when I went to pay off the amount I thought was owed. I later found out I owed 11, 000 to pay off the windows. Majic Windows was referred to me by a friend. It was recommended this company was to be trusted. This company is not to be trusted. The company is known to be a family own company that cares about people. This is not a situation of caring for people.

Majic Window Carpet installation

Signed a contract 8/14/2020 for carpet/installation. Deposit of $921. Was told by our salesman, Zach Glod, that we would have it before Thanksgiving. Now 3 months later... No carpet. They were very quick to accept the deposit and charged it to our card same day. We contacted Majic install department. Manager, Matt (refused to give us last name) was extremely rude and condescending. He basically told us we get it, when we get it. Told us flat out we have no recourse. We called our salesman, Zach Glod, and left a message. Here's a surprise. He never called us back. The manager, Matt, told us don't bother calling him back. HE would call us to set up an install date. Here's the Kicker... We have to accept an install date within 21 days of them calling us! Or we have to pay $25 per day for them to hold/store our carpet for us. What if they want to install during holidays or while we may be on a vacation. Never ever do business with majic. They are a ripoff.

Majic Window Walk-in shower

Signed a contract on july 1, 2020 and put a $2, 800 deposit down. Was told work would be done in august. August and they finally came out to "measure" the space. At that time I changed my order and was told by the salesman that that was fine and signed the new contract. This was in early september. Since that time I have not heard one word as to when they plan on doing the job I hired them to do.
It is now the end of october!
They are very good at convincing people they will do a good job and taking your money, but then nothing.
I want my money back. When I call they threaten me with legal action.
I am retired and living on a limited income. I fear they are taking advantage of my age.

Majic Window Roof installation

On August 10th, I had a free estimate done on my roof, only because I was told it would be good for a year. It turned into a pushy salesman who wouldn't leave until I committed to the new roof, even though I told him I wasn't ready to do the roof just yet. I should have stood my ground but he worked up a "deal" and ultimately, I gave him a check for $1000 to book the job and was told the work would be done in October and I would be receiving a call to set up the date. Now it's October 22nd and I can't get anyone to return my calls. I've left voicemails in the general mailbox and with the installation department. I've sent an email to the service department and I've called the salesman's cell number numerous times and gotten a recording saying that the person is unavailable. My patience has reached it's end. At this point, I'm wondering if they are still in business. Notice the cancellation period is 3 business days. Something that my salesman conveniently neglected to mention. I just want to void the contract and get my money back so I can go with another company when the timing is right.

Update...as of October 27th, I have been in contact with the company and everything is being resolved. On a related note, after being in contact with the company and rectifying things, I received a phone call from a British man by the name of Richard, claiming he was from the corporate office, and insisted that now I need a new estimate because my home is infested with mold and my home needs to be bulldozed. When I told him he was full of crap, he became abrasive and began to verbally attack me. If this were true, my previous phone calls today would have revealed this information and I believe that this is beyond what Majic can do for me so I told him he was full of it and ended the phone call. Beware to those that post on this site. I think my mistake was uploading my personal info with this complaint and got a crackpot who called me up to try and rile me. I have since spoken to Majic again and verified that this man does not work for Majic or represent them in any way. Beware of posers.

I eventually reached someone in the office on 10/27/2020 and the entire situation was discussed. They are attempting to contact the permit department in my city to get a timeline on when the permit will be issued. Then the installation department is going to contact me with a time frame for when they will be out to install my new roof. Fingers crossed that there are no hold ups with the city and the weather.

Majic Window Gutters and gutter guards

I called customer service three times and left a message to return my calls. I am having issues with my gutters and gutter guards that were installed by Majic. My gutters are angled inboard toward my face board and accumulation of debris in the gutter guards are causing wood to rot. I need this to be corrected and or compensated accordingly. I spent $25,000 dollars on windows, siding, gutters and gutter guards. Majic did not have a problem taking my money at that time. They told me if I had any issues to contact them and they would resolve them. Thus, this is a contact!

Majic Window entrance door and sidelight

After the salesman told me the door we picked out was the most expensive and it would be over $10, 000 he dropped the price to $6500 with financing for a year. If I paid cash they would knock off $500 so the free 1 year financing actually cost $500.
After waiting over 6 months for the door to come they finally put it in.
The first thing I noticed was the white storm door was a different color then the trim around the door and window which was like a lite tan. There were screw hole attaching the side window to the door frame. They didn't plug them or even caulk them it looks unfinished. Were the door frame met my siding drip edge was messed up because the new door didn't cover it in the same places so instead of replacing it with a matching drip edge they left it. Again it look's unfinished and not very professional.
The salesman kept going on about how their doors would last 20 years because of the workmanship. 1 thing he repeated was the top and the bottom of their doors were finish and doors from other companies were just raw wood. Guess what my door has raw wood and is not laminated or finished. When the door is open there is a gap between the storm door and the frame. Again filling with caulk seems would be a easy fix
I was told when the installer was done that he would be back within 2 days to install a metal strip on the top to cover up the 1/2" of fill caulk over the top of the door.
He never showed up.

except for the color difference most of this seemed like an easy fix.
I called Matt (who never answers his phone, I've called 5 separate times) from the customer service side of this company and after explain all my issues he scheduled someone to come out and take care of my problems. (IT was about 3 weeks because of mine and there schedule). When the guy showed up (21/2 hours past there 4 hour window, no call) he said he had know idea about all the issues except for the top molding to cover the caulk and it might be better if he re- scheduled when Matt had worked out my problems.
So I called Matt again. He seemed mad the installer didn't know about all the issues and said he would get back to me.
After waiting 3 more weeks for him to get back to me I called him and he asked what's going on? Like he had know idea what my issues were and after explain it all to him again he told me he told me (very rudely, like I was the problem) that there wasn't anything he could do for me except to schedule the guy to come out and finish the trim on top of the door.
At this point I was pretty upset and after he told me he would schedule it for 10/22/2019 I hung up on him but not before asking for him to email me the name and phone # of my salesman which he said he would (never got that)
Today I left another message with Matt asking him to just get the trim done so I can just be done with this 9 month disaster.
I feel that I way over spent on the door especially with the of installation, the lack of communication and the unprofessionalism of Matt who is the customer service dept.
This is my first review I ever wrote. I just hope it helps someone doing research on this company to find go with another company

Majic Window tub installation

I'm in month 9 of waiting for a tub installation to be completed. What a joke this company is. They can't seem to measure for the life of them. They are inconsiderate of time having people come out at night to get measurements. I highly DO NOT recommend them. They have also destroyed my walls and covered my exhaust fan in my bathroom. This is ridiculous.

Majic Window financing

Was given an estimate at my home for fiberglass windows. After 3 hours in my home and the salesman "relating" to me as a friend I decided to opt in and signed an agreement. The salesman guaranteed in writing 1 yr same as cash financing. I get a call 3 days later telling me that their finance company would not approve me but Wells Fargo could at a ridiculous monthly payment. He told me if I did not want the windows because of the no 1 yr same as cash deal I could cancel everything. He said let him know if I would like to proceed within a few days. I decided not to use their financing options and go with my own, I let him know of my decision. Fast forward a week later, I receive in the mail, a line of credit from Wells Fargo via a Majic Windows credit card. THEY OPENED AN ACCOUNT IN MY NAME AT WELLS FARGO WITHOUT MY CONSENT! I had no knowledge of this until I called Wells Fargo and sure enough they (Majic) used my personal info to open a line of credit. I immediately cancelled the account and called Majic as well as emailed their sales team but to no avail. They still have not contacted me about the incident but I was able to get my sales guy to contact me only to tell me its all the banks doing, not theirs. They are scandalous with your info and will not return calls or emails. Shady dealings with these people.

Majic Window jet walk in tub

90 yr old mother in law bought tub, supposed to have a life time warranty. The tub started leaking from faucet, I called Majik Window they sent a repairman out to look at it" no tools". The tub was not fixed cost 90$ service call in fact the jet was not working after he left this was in December. Called warranty man Matt 3rd says he can't get parts excuses, 3 times I've called just ignores my phone calls. I'll go out of my way now to dissuade people from doing business with Majic Window. What a joke a 96 year old lady treated like this. What a ripoff 90$ a repair man with no tools, and a smart twit warranty man, that ignores problems espically when it's older people. I'm contacting the state let them handle Matt and Manic.

Majic Window majik windows is a joke

This company is a joke. They came out and we bought their windows. It took months and months for them to get them. Meanwhile my loan expired and I had to apply again. Installation was finally scheduled for a monday. They called late friday afternoon to tell me the loan had expired because it had been more than 4 months. So, my credit score takes another hit because of their lack of taking care of business. Here it is monday morning and they called to reschedule. I missed the call and now I have been trying to talk with a human for 50 minutes and all you can get is voice mail no matter where you call. I did get a person to answer pressing 0 once and she was rude and of no help. Do not deal with majik windows unless you just want to have fun with a salesperson. They will not answer the phone! I am done and they can do whatever they want with their windows.

Majic Window replacement screen door

I buy a house without knowledge of their transferable warranty. Our dog recently destroyed the sliding screen door. I called the previous owner to get the name of the company that installed all the windows and sliding door. I call majic to get a replacement screen door because it is an oddball size that cannot be purchased from any of the home improvement stores. I get told by matt bell that because I am not a customer they cannot sell me a replacement screen door but they would allow me to still do the warranty transfer for 100 dollars then they would sell me the screen door because then I would be a customer. The fact that I bought a house with their windows doesn't make me a customer. Oh also the warranty will not cover the screen door because it was caused by our dog. So the warranty will not cover the door but the only way I can have access to buy a new door is to transfer the warranty? I didn't expect the warranty to cover it but I do need a new screen door and they wont sell me one. Horrible service! I am amazed they have been in business as long as they have. Don't use oddball sizes if you aren't going to make replacements available to people who own your products.

Majic Window false advertisement

I have watched your advertisement a number of times and am sick and tired of your false claims. You say vinyl windows won't last 5 years. Well, that's an out and out lie! I had my vinyl windows installed back in 1985 and they are still like new! You need to stop telling lies to the public just to sell your product! I am reporting this to the BBB!

Majic Window bathtub replacement

Signed contact in September 2016, for October/November 2016 installation. Still NO calls from them by December 2016. We had to track down them and their worthless scheduler Katie. Now, June 2017 and they STILL have not installed our paid bathtub renewal! Twice we had CONFIRMED scheduled installation appointments, which they did NOT show up for. No word, we have to try to reach them, no Luck. Katie, does NOT return messages left. Nor does she leave messages on our recorder. In the 10 months waiting, we are lucky if they called us less then 5 times. Horrible business. Bankers hours. Can't get ahold of them (answering service) nor even a phone call back. Owned 4 homes and spent over 30 years in corporate American, never seen such POOR SERVICE in my life! Do NOT trust them with your business!

Majic Window entry door quote

This company doesn't honor their commitments. They randomly knocked on my door and offered to give me a quote for my front door. They sent a salesman out the next day and he spent 3 hours at my house to quote a door and had to call the manufacturer 6 times to get product information.

I ended up agreeing to the door and was told 10 weeks to install.
2 days later, he calls asking form my credit card number even though contract stated same as cash for 6 months from install date. Then he calls back 2 hours later saying he was sorry but he did not include the door frame with my door so price would have to go up by $1, 100. Their contract clearly states frame to be replaced and even specifies a the woodgrain and color.

I have called 3 times asking for a manager and a guy just called back saying he was a "sales trainer" and basically said that the contract that they use allows for 3 days to change your mind and that the 3 days applies to them as a company as well. He stated that they were choosing not to honor their contractual commitment based on the 3 day clause. He also stated that their low ratings were because they don't "pay someone" to clean up their reviews.

My advice, avoid them as they only care about the sale. This is obviously a company with integrity issues.

I had a salesmen come to my door! Asking to quote us a door. April 29, 2019. Deposit paid! Waiting on phone call to set up install date! When I finally got katie found out they can't do the job! What they offered! No phone call. She referred me to the sales men getting smart on phone and text! Then they all getting smart on phone because i'm waiting for my refund! Ended up speaking with latisha, and katie! Latisha tells me she'll have to see what her general manager want to do! About my deposit! I told her what he want to do is send me my money asap! You don't decide what to do with our hard earn!

Majic Window pushy, rude salesperson and shady dealings.

After telling the sales rep I would not be making any agreements, he stayed in my home for over 2 hours. After an $11900 quote, he'd brought the price down to $8900. A great deal or the real price? I have to wonder.

After being beaten down, I did sign the agreement, with a clause that financing would need to be approved before I moved forward. This seemed fair and I was excited to get the new windows.

After not hearing back for over a week, the financing came back with a higher payment and shorter terms. Although, the rate was a better, this was still a no go for me due to the changes.

I called the sales rep to tell him I'd like to opt out to only be argued with and spoken down to. Talk about a fight! I got to hear how wrong my thinking was and continued to be sold.

The next day I found a credit card in my name in my mailbox that had been applied for by Majic Windows. This included a pre-auth on the window price along with a credit line available to me. Is a company really able to apply for this for a customer? If I wanted an open credit line, I would've asked for one. Seems shady at best. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable with the deal.

I called the saleman back to deal with more arguments and rudeness. The salesman is a bully, and although professional on the sale, this went out the window thereafter.

If you don't want bullied into a questionable dealings, I suggest you stay away from this company. I think I'll stick with my old windows if such practices are the norm.

Majic Window terrible customer service and poor work quality

Majic Window has continually made excuses and failed to deliver the type of quality and service that they advertise. Not only did they take forever to start work on our home, sometimes calling at 10:30 the night before with some terrible excuse for why they wouldn't be there the next day, the quality of the work was bad as well. Once finished they left a mess including sharp pieces of siding and cigarettes all over our yard. Then within 1 month the siding began to peel off the side of the house and when we called them to come fix it they acted like this was no big deal and didn't care one bit.

On my installation date my door was delivered.
After checking, I realized it wasn't what I ordered.
As the delivery men were lifting the door to put it
Back on the truck, the door came apart with ease.
I was shocked and very upset. I waited months for this installation just to get the wrong item that was
Apparently put together poorly. I called to make a
Complaint and was given the tun-a-round. Majic
Windows has proven to me to be not reliable, and
sells Poorly made products .

Majic Windows employees has very poor customer
service. I would never recommend this company
again.

I marked this complaint as unhelpful only because I just recently had windows installed from Majic. Up until recently I wasn't sure why there was so much negativity surrounding Majic, but then I saw this post...http://www.hansons.com/Majic_Windows.htm It all clicked. Majic doesn't even offer vinyl and yet Hansons is slamming Majic through a video that doesn't even relate to them. They make a bunch of false claims. It's clear other window companies are slamming each other online. It's hard to know who to trust, but I can tell you I was absolutely 100% satisfied with my purchase. The salesman was very friendly, the installation went smoothly, and these new windows are awesome.

Majic Window smarmy sales people

Made the mistake of asking Majic Windows to come to the house to quote on replacement windows. The salesperson, Keith Wysocki, began with all the standard sales techniques - use first names, become their friend, find common interests. I didn't want a new best friend - I wanted a quote on windows. At the end of his lengthy presentation to convince us to buy what we already wanted (fiberglass windows rather than vinyl), he told us what the 'other companies' would charge us and said he would knock $17, 000 off 'their price' if we signed that evening. I told him I would not sign immediately - wanted other quotes. He proceeded to become rude, bullying and tried to pressure us into signing. Refused to leave us a written quote. We finally had to ask him to leave. Perhaps he thought because we were old we were stupid. Those kind of tactics are for inferior, sub-standard, fly-by-night companies and should not be allowed. (Would you want your parents and grandparents subjected to these type of sales people?) This is not a company you want to do business with. I believe Mort Crim ought to be ashamed to be their spokesperson.

I had the exact same experience. 10 windows, $33000. I choked. She asked me what I was willing to pay. I said under $10000. She said if I signed that night she could tag me on to a big apartment complex job and reduce to $12000. I think the product if installed with quality might have been worth it, so I said I need a day or two to determine how I want to pay. That answer was not excepted and after many rounds of better deal and financing the pressure was too much and I said look. I am not signing tonight. Give me a couple days and I will likely go this route. She got upset and said well then I when I leave the price is $30000. That is the last time I will ever consider them.
