United States Postal Service [USPS] Mailman refuses to deliver to *

My mother resides in bronx, new york and for the past several weeks, i have experienced numerous on-going problems with the delivery of flat rate priority insured packages to my mother who resides at 765 courtland ave. I have contacted the [protected] in the past several weeks because the mailman consistently leaves a delivery attempt notice (Peach colored) ps form 3849 in her mail box when he has made no effort/attempt to deliver the package to her *********. The reports have been elevated to the consumer affairs more than once.
The local post master supervisors have assisted in tracking previous packages however it boils down to the situation repeating itself again to where the mailman refuses to deliver any packages to the ********* (4th floor. It is of no significance to him if the letter is certified or the package is priority insured signature confirmation delivery. It’s been an extremely frustrating situation. If a re-delivery is arranged, the mailman repeats the same procedure of placing a 2nd delivery notice ps form 3849 in my mother’s mail box.

I have been sending packages to my mother for years! The problem with packages not being delivered to her ********* just started in the beginning of july 2009

The last time the mailman came up to my mother’s ********* he intimidated her when he knocked with no packages on hand to inform her “he's not authorized to deliver packages to her *********. “he's only supposed to ring the bell at the bottom of the building and she has to come downstairs!” my mother just listened and didn’t reply. She just informed my brother who passed the information to me when i called to follow-up on whether she had received the package i had mailed to her. This mailman behavior was totally unprofessional to say the least.
I am extremely disappointed with the usps service i have received in the past few weeks and want to know if i may take any legal action, thanks!

You sound like an extremely negative spirited individual. It’s my preference to write and post what I want to share what others. You have no authority to judge me and besides, I have nothing to hide and wanted to share the exact location of the incident. Perhaps others in that area confronted the same problem and by reading my complaint would be encouraged to take appropriate action and initiating a formal complaint through the proper channels. If posting the address of my mother upset you, I highly suggest you see your Primary Physician.
F.Y.I. Post Master came down and inspected the Post Office. I received a letter of apology. However, things shortly went back to the OLD way of doing business. Unfortunately my mother passed away a few month ago.

My mail carrier does same. How are people who can not get out to pay bills but do not use computer to pay online to pay bills if the [censor] refuses to pick up mail or deliver it? Should be illegal . Ours opens mail too. Watched him do this..

Imagine walking anywhere from 8 to 14 plus hours a day 5-7 days a week all the while carrying up to 45 lbs up and down hills and stairs. This may have been the reason why your mailman was grumpy. Its just the natural by product of extreme physical stress on the body. The time it takes to go up and down 4 flights of stairs is adding time on his route. He cannot do this because he has a certain amount of time to deliver all his delivery points. You may think 5 or 10 minutes is not a big deal but you should understand he may 700 or more delivery points that day. Plus they are not required to walk up 4 stories of stairs if this apartment building has centralized mail delivery. They at required to go to the point of delivery which is usually a gang box style mailbox. The newer ones have parcel lockers available. If someone is delivering up those stairs be sure they are doing it out of their lunch break time.

I think it's Asinine to make excuses not to deliver a small package.Stop withholding something someone paid for and do your job.People should never have to pick up their own package when it is the"Carrier"'who is paid to deliver.Your discretion is limited you should figure out away to deliver someone's package instead of making excuses not too. Those Stupid Slips are being abused for the sake of doing a half assed job instead of making the effort to "DELIVER" on your promise as a postal worker.

My USPS office does the same thing and I'm from the Bronx as well and live on the first floor and my door is right beside the mailbox. I always track my packages so I always know what day to expect my packages. I will be home all day as always due to me being a stay at home mom until my little begins school so I can go back to. Anyway, my USPS office won't deliver my package or leave a slip, obviously because no one ever came to deliver, but online they have the nerve to say they came and left a slip due to no one being home to accept the package. I also reschedule for them to "re deliver" and yet again the same damn problem. Mind you, the post office is about 9blocks away and all hills that I will have to walk with my toddler and stand on line for about 40 mins after they leave the slip in my mailbox after 2 days of course. So rediculous ! I think they need to close down a lot of USPS office and get rid of a lot of people so the few that stay would appreciate having a job and actually doing it. Or, actually doing something about all the complaints and making sure ppl are doing the job that they are getting paid for. As far as tipping the delivery person so they can do their job is stupid ! I'm suppose to pay for delivery and tip in order for it to be delivered... I don't think so !

I received a note in my mailbox complaining about my plants. The mail carrier said that she didn't like brushing against them when she delivers the mail. The plant is a majestic palm. Even if I do move it, she will brush against it when she places the mail in the mailbox. There is nothing blocking the mailbox. Today, she banged on my door and demanded that I move it. When I said that I wasn't going to, she said then your mail is on hold and stormed off. She completely ignores the neighbors 2 doors down with an aggressive dog that tries to break through the glass to attack her and anyone else who passes by, but complains about a plant. I called the post office and reported her. They said that someone was going to come out to my location to see what her problem is. Like I said earlier, nothing is blocking the mailbox. If there was I never would've gotten that note on Saturday. She must not want her job.

I have no dog, cat, lions, tigers, wolves, snakes, [insert dangerous animal here]. My carriert was able to bring not only my paycheck here but also the "2014 USPS Holiday Playbook" so getting to my mailbox was no issue. I was here, therefore, there is no question about delivering my package. As you see by the pic, the box fits perfectly into the mailbox, therefore it wasn't a heavy box and could've been carried with the mail. This is a routine occurrence and I have had to once again call my local post office and say "I received my mail today and saw that my package was out for delivery, yet my mail carrier left without delivering my package once again?' To the woman who say buy him a lottery ticket, are you NUTS?! I don't buy MYSELF lottery tickets, I don't believe in them. Secondly, I've already paid for the shipping, so why should I pay extra for the service they promised. If that's the case, then I'll just use the UPS or FED EX. They tell us that we can use them and get the 2-3 day with tracking then what after we pay, now we have to butter them up like gangsters. YOU do that. I won't be buying him lottery tickets, birthday nor Christmas gifts, and all of that until he treats my neighbors and I like PEOPLE with equal value. Right now, he won't even give us our daily delivery unless he feels like it. Those things are tips and I don't tip crappy service. I will not tip a crappy waitress I will not tip a crappy mail carrier either. When my food delivery driver delivers my food and it's timely and warm, s/he is well tipped. But my carrier saying "tip me or else" is sharking and bullying. That amounts to a waitress saying "give me a tip or I'll spit in your food." I'll not frequent that place either. What sense do you think you're making yelling at the people expecting service for the money they're paying. You really need a self-esteem class.

Enough already for blasting the guy for writing his mother's address in his explanation of the poor service performed by his mother's USPS mail carrier. Apparently you didn't bother to read his follow-up post regarding this matter, otherwise you would have learned that his mother has since passed away. So give your scolding a rest. Furthermore, why you people act so concerned over something so benign truly reflects how naive you are. Obtaining Information such as a person's name and their current address requires nothing more than a connection to the Internet. Wake up and smell the coffee, for crying out loud.

Here in Creswell, Oregon mail lady carrier has not delivered to my door in 5 plus years. I figured the postal service did not deliver to door's anymore, until I saw her deliver to my neighbor a month ago. I live only 2 houses away from the mailbox and She just leaves a attempt made to deliver in the neighborhood metal mailboxes. I had priority mail come 2 days ago and had to go get my package. I complained about it. I was expecting 2 more coming today. I waited by the door and when it was almost 5 pm I checked tracking online and again online says attempted delivery and left notice.
Below is the information I got online. I need these packages, I am disabled and can't get out all the time.

This is BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. If the mail lady is not going to do her job, they should not charge the extra money for the service. There should be a refund of some of the money!

*****I agree, I would never ever leave my moms address online! That is horrible. She said enough by saying the area and that it is a 4 story building. She leaves her mother up for harrassment. Someone crazy on the internet could mail her mom something bad, scare her. Really not good. She needs her head examined for doing such a thing. Also, she should edit her comment above and delete her mothers address off this site and any other site she left it on. Bet her mom would be appalled to know her address is out on the internet for everyone in the world to see. Maybe the daughter should post her address as well? Stupid move.

point in fact: some postal drivers are just plain lazy. If my mail contains even one small package he will leave a note saying that the mailbox is too full and it has to be picked up at the mailbox. Rather than delivering it to my door, or leaving the mail and taking the package alone to be picked up, he takes ALL of my mail! I think he's just a bully. It's odd that my neighbors and parents who live in the same city get their packages delivered straight to their door. And NO, , they do not leave gifts or tips. Having worked for the USPS in the past I know what the job entails and they are just lucky to have a job in today's economy. It's a service they should take pride in having. If they don't want to do their job they should give it to someone that would happily take it..like me!

United States Postal Service [USPS] leaving packages at door

USPS service is too hood and too too ghetto. I live in apartment complex that is pretty decent, calm nice, and quiet. The demographic is 25-45 with asians, arabs, blacks and white. I provide that sort of background info to let the readers know that USPS leaves my packages outside my door in apartment complex. I don't feel comfortable with that method of service. Especially when the carrier rings the door bell and bounces. How professional is that? Ringing the door bell and hauling ###? I ordered a phone that was over $300 so this is why I am writing this complaint. You could have just stood there one extra second to see if someone is at the door.

USPS should give the receiver an option if they want they package left at the door. Is this how USPS operates?

I'm a black Man who is college educated but knows that usps hires nothing but ###s who barely made it outta highschool. Ghetto service to the fullest. Next time I receive a package through usps, I'm picking it up at the post office. They won't send me a damn thing anymore.

P.S. The chick who left my package at the door was some ol raggedy looking blue black broad that walked like a bird. I see why she work at USPS.

United States Postal Service [USPS] awful, awful, awful

I lived in London UK for four years and had my mail forwarded to me. In the spring of 2008 I canceled the mail forward and asked that mail be sent to my home in Portland. I returned to Portland in July with a nice stack of mail waiting. Mail arrived over then next few days, then I joined Netflix. They kept sending me DVDs but none of them were ever delivered. I called USPS and they investigated. There was no improvement and I discovered other mail was being redirected back to London. After 5 calls to USPS I now am receiving no mail at all! So instead of fixing the problem of some of my mail getting through and some not, they fixed it so I get NO MAIL at all!

Each time they tell me someone will call and of the 5 calls I have made only two were returned.

United States Postal Service [USPS] awful experience

I sent a birthday gift package via priority mail for my niece in California and it's been missing for a month. I went to the post office and talked to the manager 2 weeks after the delivery date and filled out a form and she copied my receipt. I went there today and talked to the person, but she could not locate the form or the copy of my receipt. Her boss was too busy to talk to me and I was referred to a customer service department. This experience has been extremely upsetting and I can't trust the people working for USPS anymore.

i missed a package delivery today. no big deal right? wrong. i called the 1-800-ask-usps number, the voice was robotic. i had to listen through option after option until i heard what i was looking for. i selected redelivery and everything went smooth until they asked for the article number. the robotic number "heard" it wrong FOUR times. I was pissed by this point. (i am an expectant mother and the package was prenatal vitamins) I decided i would run down to the post office and pick it up, i arrived at the post office at closing time. there were workers behind the counter and customers waiting to be waited on, but as soon as it hit closing time the workers walked to the back and locked the door. I knocked and no one answered EVEN AFTER THREE DIFFERENT KNOCKS! At the end of the fourth knock (third door i tried) and angry voice yells "Were closed!"... I hate USPS... UPS is the way to go.

I also had several bad experiences with california Postal service, one was a very expensive ring sent by express mail to my son for his future wife, I had it insured for the maximun allowed, the ring went missing, I called express mail which is a contracted company for the USPS and was spoken to with much disrespect, I would not give up and I kept calling the Post Master, the post office I was calling kept telling me "he is busy", but I was persistant, I finally spoke to a well spoken American at the express service who called the Post Master herself and had the Post master call me back. She (the post master was female not male) called me back and I told her the whole story, she informed me that she was sent there to California because the service there was so so bad and she and others were sent to straighten it out. She located the ring by making the express delivery guy lead her to where he "supposedly delivered the ring", she followed in her own car. The express guy had delivered it to his friend and thought that it would slip by as an error as long as it showed up as delivered and signed for.We did get the ring back but it took persistant calling on my part, I hope she was able to get the Post office in 90034 area code back in shape.

United States Postal Service [USPS] personal mail delivery

241 lot owners and property tax payers at Blue Cypress Condominium Assoc. in Okeechobee Florida, cannot get mail delivered to their private mailboxes by the US Post Office. I have spoken with the Postmaster at the Okeechobee Office, who refusesto consider delivery because we are a "One stop drop". We are no longer an RV Resort, we are a legal Condominium Assoc. Precedent has been set, as mail is being delivered to other Condominium residents (Ancient Oaks) by the US Postal employees. We have to pay employees to put the mail in our boxes, on top of our fees to the US POST OFFICE for mail delivery. We are requesting delivery to our boxes by Postal Employees. We all have legal house number and sdtreet addresses, and are identified under the 911 system.

Have changed from a postoffice box to a rural mail box at our physical address. We have tried to change all our mail to the new address but, some fall through the cracks. Local postmaster here in Mill Creek, Okla. sends the mail back with old box number. Now we have only lived here 50 plus years and it is only a small town where everyone knows everybody. We have been driving around without insurance, current tags on autos, and electric bills because he sent them back without our knowledge. The latest was an electric bill. That is what made us check our tags. Someone should tell this good ole boy to be a little more thoughtful and giving to help people. Thanks, Caroline Dodd 10004 West Rocky Rd. Mill Creek, Ok. 74856

I agree I'm going through the same issues and can't understand why the mail is not being delivered at a reasonable time.
I'm waiting on the mail at 7:23pm. The mail system needs to be reorganized or shut down like any other service that doesn't perform.
Private companies could do a better job I'm sure

My mailcarrier leaves my mail at the wrong address, has left the mail wet on non-rainy days, has left the mail torn or ripped, has left passages on the lawn and leaves the mail after 6pm. The Postal service needs to go and be replaced by competitive private concerns.

United States Postal Service [USPS] mixed up mail

I have lived in my condo for 2 years and NEVER before had problems with mail. I am repeatedly getting other neighbors mail and I assume they are getting mine as I have been late on some payments because I have NEVER receieved the bill until I receive a phone call or a late notice. I was sent a survey recently on my service and I stated such in the response but obviously no one reads them! This is unacceptable! My credit is flawless and Ijust received a call about a payment I had not made and yet never received the bill. I want my mail carrier reomved or disciplined immediately. I would also like a phone call just so I know someone has read this and what is going to be done about it. 2 years of this is long enough, this guy (my mail carriers) is not competent and if this is the standard of the USPS, it is pretty sad!

Bill# [protected]

Discrimination employee misconduct complaint re: Location Two
Eastern Heights, Oakdale location (Bob) & older Caucasian window clerk Linda-verbally loud, defensive & rude! Oakdale, Mn location Supervisor Mr. Iverson

Summery: On 9.30.2009 I attempted to go to this post office location to purchase some postage stamps for my five letters. Postal employee Jesse rudely and discriminately, disrespectfully greeted me! This is my third appearance at this location, which is connected to this small strip mall storefronts that also house/lease Rainbow foods grocery store.

The outer appearance of this post office location is dirty unsanitary and disgusting. Spots-stains-spite-spew-saliva surround the entrance and concrete side-walk. Smashed bubble gum discarded cigarette butts carelessly littered and thrown.

Jesse seemed to be in an ornery, foul, argumentative and impatient mood and was also argumentative and defensive with me! Addressing me as a child or animal! On further note Jesse also smelled like he needed a bath as he is an extremely oversized male that sits in a chair at the customer service window all day with an ornery and stern attitude. Customers/citizens should not have to be subject to this type of discourteous, dirty, misconduct and or behavior.

This is the third post office within less then a years time around the E. Saint Paul Minnesota area that has been getting numerous complaints and negative ratings with it’s management/supervisor/employee customer relations and discriminatively run business! Including the Dayton’s Bluff location & Eastern Heights, Oakdale Mn. Caucasian male window teller (Bob) who wears visible droopy gold neck chains and appears intimidating to some customers/consumers. I verbally heard him call a Caucasian woman customer stupid in a joking disrespectful manner belittling her during a window transaction! Bob seems to frequently be in a cocky, defensive, stern mood during window customer transactions with other selective customers.

Furthermore, at the Seeger post office location when I asked for a manager or supervisor on duty I was rudely and sarcastically given a name of Charlie. However, this man was unavailable for customer complaints/concerns at the time…So when I got to my home/residence I attempted to call customer service hotline for the USPS @ [protected] Unfortunately, this number and department customer service computer’s were allegedly down, at the time, only to file a complaint, not to purchase postage and or track or to ship a package! I was told to call back later that night or tomorrow to file a consumer complaint. As of receipt of my/this original complaint over a week later after submitting a verbal complaint to Minneapolis Northland district Consumer Affairs manager Mrs. Natalie Sorvari t: 612.349.4401 who was to return my calls regarding a previous complaint months ago and never did! This Location and office/department has been recently unresponsive to my letters. However, I did manage to file another verbal complaint the following day over the telephone with a familiar over sarcastic and insincere woman by the name of: Mary-Joe hotline t: 612.349.6388 f: 612.349.3512

Please properly, investigate

United States Postal Service [USPS] receiving wrong mail

I have been receiving mail for a former tenant that was forced to move out of my home due to extenuating circumstances. She has obviously been using my address for any junk mail or other companies that she has been frequenting to harrass me by receiving her mail. I NEED IT TO STOP. She no longer legally resides at my address and somebody at the Post Office needs to send it back or forward to any new address that she would have put on file (if any). How do I make it stop permanently? I DO NOT want to see her name on anything coming to my house. It's MY HOME and I would like the right to enjoy it without seeing her name or mail coming to my adress anymore!

as a retired mailman in syracuse ny, I can tell you that the problem comes from washington DC. no hiring is allowed unless it is approved by washington. when someone retires his route is obsorbed by the exsisting routes. the routes are being timed right down to the second, and being retimed every 2-3 months so there is no spare time. when the carrier is given extra to do, due to retirement, sick call, or vacation time, it tacked on to an exsisting route and the carrier is told to do the extra 1st, thus putting his regular deliverys behind for the day. Also having a differant person deliver part of a route everyday results in undelivered and misdelivered mail. Its only going to get worse. In my own personal opinion, I think the government is trying to make the service so bad that the public will want it turned over to public enterprise, which is what the government wants.

United States Postal Service [USPS] sub-par service

My Post Deliverer continues to leave my mailbox opened when she delivers mail. I have complained personally at the local post office, and I have left a little note taped to the side of my porch asking politely for the mailbox lid to be closed. Nothing. I have a mailbox which is attached to the porch, with a top opening lid, and just enough distance from the awning to collect quite a bit of rain when the weather turns foul. On more than one occasion, I've had mail ruined because I wasn't able to collect it before it started raining, and my mailbox is going to have to be replaced soon because the moisture is causing the exposed hinges to rust. Please help me address this problem. Thanks.

If it was me, I would install a new mailbox whose lid will close automatically. No fancy devices needed, just a heavy lid and smooth hinges so it will close from gravity without any assistance. I would also consider moving the mailbox to a different location under the awning.

I have complained numerous times at the local Post Office about the carrier's failure to deliver mail for days. I want something done about the non-delivery of mail. Sometimes it is days at a time and they tell me he has a disability and can only work certain hours. I work from home and wait on time sensitive mail, compensation, etc. I was advised to get a...

Amendment to the above comment: it no longer says "more information" by the post office that delivers your mail, you have to click on the actual post office to get the local phone number.

If you go to the USPS.com website and view the FAQs, it will explain about the weather conditions and in certain situations where you will not receive your mail. And also if you look at find at post office on the USPS.com site and enter your zip code, and/or address, it will tell you a listing of the post offices in your area and give you the phone number. Most people get discouraged because they just see the 1800askusps on the page, but if you click on "more information", it will give you the phone number for your post office. And if it is not there, you can call the 800# and ask the representative to check the system for the post office for your zip code, IF THAT POST OFFICE has provided customer service w/ their number, they will gladly give it to you and also file a complaint for you as well and that complaint will go to the local post office and will be addressed and they will call you back if you request one. Lastly, you can google your post office and get the phone number. Hope this helps.

United States Postal Service [USPS] breach of contract

I bought a confirmation of delivery service from the USPS. I consider them charging for a service, receiving money for a service and giving me a receipt explaining what they will do for the money, a legal contract. They accepted money to provide a delivery confirmation on a mailed letter.

Now they say they have no record of my letter ever being delivered - or ever being mailed for that matter. After many phone calls, I was told they could give me no confirmation that my letter was delivered. So I paid them for a service that they could not provide.

On 2 separate occasions, I called them and was told I would receive a return call on the next business day. I have never heard a word back from them. I feel this whole place is run by "Newman"!

What are my rights here? At the very minimum, I should receive my money back.

United States Postal Service [USPS] po box fees

my complaint has to do with the USPS charging me extra for my mail. the town of Wanette does not have home delivery service. but i can not receive my mail;ie bills or letters, unless i pay for a po box. if a letter is legally sent to me i can not receive it. i live within the city limits, 2 blocks from the post office. if i lived outside the city limits the mail would be delivered to my home/business, free. in contacting the usps i'm given the address for the post office, which i know, in turn tells me that's just the way it is if i want my mail. to me, this amounts to extoration. the usps articles 4.2.1 and 4.6.2 state that i fall under "group E" because i am denied home delivery.

The goverment always costs us more and now they are dishonest about the postoffice policy and and pricing. usps policy does not mean anything anymore (unless its to usps advantage $$)

This country is going to HELL in a handbasket.

We need Honest people in washington and not the pack of Liers that are currently in Washington DC and around the u.s.

My issue is that i am unable to determine what my po box will cost me after April 17, 2011. I have seen pricing for the # 1 po box. the range is $37.00--$180.00. What the Hell for. They already know what they will be sticking us with. and if this turns out to be a joke eather by outrages pricing and/or additional service charges because i have a po box.
Stop paying goverment employees so much more money than the privite sector along with the great benifiets

United States Postal Service [USPS] refund

It was last April when my husband decided to respond to an artical posted in the newspaper for the United States Postal Services. The artical was for study materials, the Postal Battery Exam Booklet. He paid $130.00 for the book. He registered for an exam online then waited. After a few months he recieved another job. He then called the number provided on the booklet to recieve a refund that was said to be 100% refundable. The number [protected] when dialed says the number you have dialed is invalid. To say the least we are EXTREMELY UPSET and want our full $130.00 REFUNDED to us. I don't know who responsible but for others out there beware it's a SCAM!

United States Postal Service [USPS] condition of mail/destroyed portrait

I ordered a portrait for over $50 and it was sent to me via the USPS. The portrait was sandwiched between two thick pieces of corrugated cardboard and placed in an envelope that bore a name indicating that a portrait was inside. Despite all of this, the inept mail carrier on our route saw fit to bend the package in half lengthwise and cram it into the mail box shredding and creasing the contents. When I went to the Stokesdale post office the post master there said that if there was no insurance on the package and if it did not say 'Do not bend' the postal carrier was allowed (ALLOWED!) to do this. So, apparently, if you don't give postal carriers specific instructions they are allowed to shred and abuse your mail and the USPS does not feel obligated in the least to hold their mail carriers accountable. With the cost of stamps and sending packages through the postal system I think they have a LOT of nerve hiding behind policy in such an appalling manner. There is right and wrong and then there is the USPS.

Amen. I was told by a mail carrier to not come to the local office to always call the 1-800-ASK-USPS to file complaints. This will work because the bigger bosses get to hear about the complaint. I have had 3 books that where bent and you have to know the date the mail was delievered to complain. Today I got my third book that was bent to fit into my mail box, and called and waiting now for a call back. I asked about their policy for packages that do not fit inside of a mail box, and he informed me that they would be taken to the local post office to be picked up. My mail lady has even placed a package of mine on the ground next to my mail box that was ran over a few times. The package was from Newport News and contain 150.00 worth of clothes. I got the 150.00 refund but the sale was already over. I receive my neighbors mail very often. But the thing that really upsets me is when my checks are put in someone else mail box. I would love to work for the USPS, you can screw up many times and never get fired!

United States Postal Service [USPS] theft of camera

I set up shipping a camera from CT to my daughter in Vancouver BC Can with our local Post Office. While watching the tracking, the camera made the 70 miles to JFK Airport and was promply stolen BY USPS PERSONNEL! No one really cared at USPS (like it happens on a regular basis). I shipped another camera to my daughter via UPS and she recieved it in 5 days. Oh yeah, it took 5 months to finally get the the insuance because they thought I was trying to SCAM THEM! Save yourself lots of time and money...use UPS.

I live in Wilmington, Delaware and some idiot that works for the post office decided that it was fiscally responsible to remove all the self-service machines to buy stamps, mail small packages, etc. And this in light of their very crappy customer service. Today, April 20, I got in line with two people ahead of me and two people being waited on by two postal...

United States Postal Service [USPS] terrible company

I purchased a package on Ebay without a choice of delivery options and forced to use USPS Parcel Post delivery and paid for insurance, tracking and signature confirmation. The package was shipped from Indiana on 04/01/2009. It has been 15 days and it has not arrived. I called the USPS customer service and they relayed the expected delivery time was 04/08/09. On 04/10/09, I called USPS again and they stated I should wait until 4/13/09 & call back to file a Complaint. I called my local post office also to track the package and they could not locate the package either, telling me that it should take 30 days because of the downsizing, cutback in staffing and skeleton crew in CA. When I called back USPS again today to verify if these issues exist, they simply state it should take 10 business days as projected on their website. Well obviously its past 10 working days and I can't seem to get a real answer for the simple facts of Snail Mail. So economy issues or not, we the public should be informed of possible delays &estimated delivery time frames of 10-30 days not 10 days!

I agree, usps service is horrible, especially Parcel Post. I have had TWO antique pitchers arrive smashed so bad there is more dust inside than broken glass. I believe if it says 'fragile' they must purposely play kick ball with the boxes. Also have had packages take over a month to arrive. Yet we continue to accept the rate increases. SAD
By the way, don't complain to local PO or carrier and they will respond with even worse service. Have cancelled most of my magazine subscriptions as they were always stolen or lost at the distribution center.

United States Postal Service [USPS] abusive mailman stealing mail

My mailman, Edward J Pavlik Jr, has repeatedly refused to deliver all correctly addressed mail to my address for years. After numerous complaints to his supervisors and providing proof of my accusations, I haven't gotten any relief from this monster. Now he has taken it upon himself to personally retaliate and take matters into his own hands.

He actually physically attacked me while on the route and continually damages and destroys mail that he does deliver. I have watched him deliver large mail pieces by standing at the curb and throwing it at mine and my neighbor's houses. I took him to court over the attack and was granted a Temporary Restraining Order because he testified, under oath, that he did indeed attack me, twice! What's even worse is that a representative from the USPS was present and heard his testimony and yet, they allow him to continue delivering some mail to my address.

No wonder the USPS is losing money. Their service is HORRIBLE! Why is this monster allowed to still keep his job if he can't do it right?
