Well, I'm sad to see the Magellan sales staff once again posting false praises about the company. [redacted].com seems to have postings of a different nature, as does Yelp. It seems that Magellan promises far more than they actually deliver with preconstruction sales, and the fools who bought Aqua, Park Homes, Chandler, Regatta, Lancaster, or anything else in Lakeshore East had a nasty surprise to find that they, not Magellan, are paying special assessments to cover a bond for the 'park' that no other building in the area has to pay for. Not to mention the increased assessments to maintain the park since Magellan 'gave' it to the Park District, which is too bankrupt to maintain it themselves. Read the reviews on the Shoreham or any of their other buildings, and you'll see why you're a fool to buy preconstruction from them.

The Benton Parkhomes and the Aqua Parkhomes are at ground level to the Lakeshore East park, created by the greedy Magellan Development and sold aggressively by their greedier and deceitful sales department. At a recent Alderman meeting with the 42nd ward leadership in Chicago, it was noted that the poor conditions of the empty lots filled with dirt piles and debris by Magellan surrounding these properties are breeding grounds for rats and raccoons. It was noted that with the groundbreaking for the Roundy's market being built, that the exodus of rats from the area was remarkable. Sooooo, if you're living on the same ground level as those wonderful dirt-pits that Magellan has left to rot all around you, I suggest lots of rat traps and perhaps some small weapons, since Daley now is going to have to allow them in the city limits. Think you'd rather believe Magellan's sales people when they try and sell you this properties?
