Macy's suspension

I've been working at Macys for over a year and for the first time I make the wrong decision to give someone I know an extra 20% off because I didn't have my wallet, which meant no macys card, to pay for what I wanted. I didn't want them to buy it for me but they insisted and brought it to my register and I rung them out without telling them about the extra. Then I was pulled into LP and interrogated for an hour. I told them the complete truth. They also brought up starting a return then canceling it before the store even opens. When you get something that is non-congruent, a slip prints out that says whether or not it can go on clearance or if it should go in the stock room. I go through the rack to organize it and if I see anything that isn't our stores merchandise, since it tends to vary from place to place. So in order to see if I can just put it on a clearance rack or if it has to go in the stock room for non-congruent items .
I've been put on suspension for the extra discount and I've paid back the $4.80 that I owed. I was told to call our stores HR rep. within 24 hours, which I did, but she hasn't been in the store for a few days so I left a message with our executive office, who said she'd email her. I have left a few messages. It's been 4 days but I haven't heard anything about it. And I am really afraid of losing my job right now.

I don't see what the big problem is. The person who left the comment that something sounds "suspicious" is just an [censored], and acts as though his/her [censored] don't stink and that all they've done is walk this world without ever ever doing anything. Why are people so damn judgmental. Macy's is awful for doing that. People often do things with good intentions and people with more experience in certain matters step in and find fault. The person working at macy's who gave the friend a discount is a law enforcement officer so the associate sees things through different lenses. I hope you didn't lose your job. Sometimes we learn from our mistakes, but that doesn't mean our mistakes are sinister.

Macy's rude & unhelpful customer service

On December 6, I received an order I had placed online. When I opened the package, I discovered that they had incorrectly packed two of the same sweaters and completely omitted another. I called their customer service and was unfortunate enough to get Maria...honestly Macy's, if you're paying this woman minimum wage, it's too much. She was condescending and very unsympathetic even though this issue is entirely Macy's fault, not mine. After 17 minutes discussing the matter and her continually putting me on hold, she would not send the sweater that I had ordered until I sent the incorrect one that they sent me back. My credit card information is on file I would assume, so what's the problem? She also told me that I could 'easily' return the sweater for exchange at the nearest Macy's store; never mind that the nearest store is 100 miles away from me. When I mentioned that, she muttered something I didn't get, . After dealing with her, I was looking forward to the survey that I agreed to take after the call. She asked me if I was still going to participate in the survey, and I said, "Most definitely", and then she cut me off so I couldn't take the survey. Poor choice in hiring this one, Macy's.

First of all you mistake being told no and not getting you way as rudeness, which proves that you are obviously a child. I ask before sending the credit card info did you get your parents permission? Clearly with your attitude you are too young to have a credit card.

Macy's billing error

On 10/9 I purchased 3 items online that all came to $674.83, a hold was put on my account for that amount. Today (10/11), I checked my account and saw that my account was debited the amount for two of the purchases, and the other purchase was still pending action, in addition to the $674.83. At this point, Macy's had placed a hold for $674.83 plus $345.60, in addition to correctly charging me for the other two items.
I used their online site to resolve the matter, leaving my contact information around 7am, at 1pm, I tried calling. The VRU does not provide a way to speak with someone regarding an online purchase, so I acted as if I had a credit card error. Anyway, I did get to speak to someone with an accent, who first stated I would need to wait for 5 to 10 business days for the hold to be released. After I told him that was unacceptable, he then requested I provide my credit card number over the phone, which I refused. The next thing I knew I was speaking to a representative of my bank. After verification, she informed me that the representative needed to BILL my account. I explained to her the issue and she told me that Macy's would need to contact their Merchant department to release the hold. I let her know that I was aware of this and that is why I called Macy's.
This time I called corporate headquarters, again, I was told I would need to wait 3-5 business days. Again, I stated that was unacceptable. When I shop, I would expect to have a hold on the entire amount, or if you are shipping separately, hold 3 items. I am experiencing a short time lost of $1, 020.43, which is $674.83 over expectations. The representative did call me back to say the funds will be available tomorrow, we'll see. This matter should not have been so hard to resolve, and Macy's response should not be legal, is it?

Macy's false coupon ad - misleading customers

I went to the lake forest mall macy's in gaithersburg this morning (9/7/13) because I had a macy's coupon from a newspaper. this coupon is macy's wow! $10 off all sale & clearance apparel and select home items on purchase of $25 or more. the coupon was valid 9/6 'til 1pm or 9/7 'til 1pm. I found 3 clearance lady's tops amounted to $30.95. when I paid at the counter with the $10 off coupon, I was told that the coupon did not apply to my purchase because the clearance items were already at a low price and macy's made no profit on these items. why would macy's put out the $10 off coupon on all sale and clearance apparel in the newspaper and then not honoring the coupon where sale condition was met. this amounts to false advertisement to lure customers into the store. by doing so, macy's alienate its customers which is a bad business practice.in future, I will think twice about shopping at macy's.

Macy's mystery shopper scam

I received a letter in the mail along with a check of $1, 385 and 70 cents saying to deposit the check into my account. I called to speak with the Macys Central account manager. He didn’t answer to any of the questions I asked her and then finally she hang up on me. This is a scam.

Macy's ralph lauren bedroom set

I purchased a bedroom set and dining room set from macys. the brand name was Ralph Lauren, very expensive line. this whole experience was just horrible, and very poor customer service. For almost one year, macy's was trying to deliver me a complete, undamaged dining set. Every time the delivery crew would come over with a damaged furniture and they would take it back again. after trying for one year, they end up canceling my order and refunded my money. the reason i am saying this is because i have the bedroom set by ralph lauren again which i purchased at the same time with the dining set and I very disappointed with the bedroom set because it is a very poor quality, not worth a penny. The drawers doesn't open and close normal, makes a noise. It has some damages on it from the delivery. The furniture is losing its color. I do not have a direct sun light on the furniture and i do not understand why its happening. The bed is making squeaky noise and wiggling. I am a person who takes a good care of things especially when i pay a lot of money for something. I have called numerous time to Macys customer service and addressed my complaint and my disappointment. they are very extremely rude, they do not even bother to listen to my complaint they are saying if its over 30 days then they can not take it back. I have called their executive office and i got the same answer. I now have tiers in my eyes. it took me a long time to collect money to do this purchase and now i am stuck with a bad quality bed set and i can not do anything about it. on top of all this i went thru a very very stressful time. During all this run arounds i was pregnant and macys really gave me a hard time and their service has been discussing.
I am asking for help, to resolve this issue.

Macy's failure to advertise promotional job openings

Why is Macy's at Newport Mall failing to advertise job openings to employees? Why are they stating that there are manager's openings but once the person retires from the position Macy's already has a person lined up to fill that position who comes from another store. They are not giving employees who have already put in time at the store a chance to apply for the job. They are baiting employees into applying for the job knowing fully well that they have already hired someone else. Is this discrimination? Is this legal?
Is Macy's breaking it's own hiring rules? This needs to be investigated.

You are absolutely correct about this. I have stated this in writing with the instore-solutions, which dosn't work. In-store solutions only sides with it's company managers in their unethical promotional practices. I am currently dealing with this situation as we speak. I just received a response from the so called investigator from in-store solutions, stating that she didn't find my complaints a legitimate, when all the facts are there. I even gave her positions and names. Now I am wondering what education or skill training she had to qualify her as an investigator, other than working for Macy's for 15 years. In my store, the manager is the worst, she constantly puts people into positions without giving everyone the opportunity to interview for the position, but like you have stated. It appears that management already have someone for the position. Note: I have been the extreme seller and rising star in the store since I have started working there. This really doesn't count for anything. They appear to promote individuals that have worked for Macy's for years, with very little education and wouldn't know the first thing about leading others, let along coaching.

Macy's wont let me cancel the card

My son bought a ring at Macy's two years ago. He was 100.00 short so the clerk suggested that he get a credit card. He was 20 years old at the time. He was preapproved for the 100.00 dollars that he needed. Since then he has been billed numerous times. He has sent 100.00 to them twice but, still the bills keep coming while accumulating more and more fees. He never received a card at the store or in the mail but, they certainly have an account for him. He has paid some of their fees while also calling them and writing to them about wanting to cancel the card. Now a collection agency is calling constantly. When he talks to the collection agency, they tell him to talk to macys(city card) which would be great if you could talk to a real person that could help. They keep telling him to write a letter, which he has done twice. This is outrageous! The original 100.00 that he was originally billed is now costing him about 400.00 and they wont cancel the card. They are ruining his otherwise good credit, all over 100.00. They wont talk to me (his mom) because I am not the account holder. This needs to stop now! I just wish we could talk to a real person that actually has the authorization to do something. Is he going to continue to rack up fees for the rest of his life? Help!

Macy's macys ruined my credit score!!!

My husband and I have had almost 30 years of impeccable credit...until Macy's chose to report me to a credit reporting agency. Apparently, I had a $6.97 charge on my account. Macy's chose to stop sending me paper statements in lieu of online statements without informing me of this change...and to a Gmail account I rarely check (I honestly probably wouldn't have opened it anyway since I get junk mail from Macy's on a daily basis). Over a three month period they kept adding late fees to this account until it totaled $61.00, at which time they reported me to Equifax. At no time during this three month period did I receive snail mail informing me of an outstanding balance. I always, always pay my bills on time - and usually pay all credit card balances in full - so it's not as if I have a history of even slightly blemished credit. I cannot begin to express how livid I am over this situation. When I spoke to the customer service rep tonight, he informed me that Macy's has the right to change their method of billing from snail mail to email without informing me. How can this possibly be legal? I will definitely be contacting the Attorney General and the BBB over this!

Macy's notified every single customer every month in their statements for 6 months about the statement change. Had you read your inserts that came with your bills you would have noticed it. You also have the option of using your account online. Don't blame anyone but yourself for your credit issues.

Macy's very mean spirited and takes out people for her own personal reasons

this lady is very shady, and was booted out of Florida cause she was so hard up for cases that she often went after people for personal reasons rather than a un-bias investigation, for example she had a loss prevention in Dadeland Florida fired because he would not go out with her, and when she is jealous of someone she would get them on some kind of made up policy violation, and with the regular store employees she would lie to her bosses to get them prosecuted, she herself violates policies all the time, she steals time shopping on the clock and going to eat all the time on the clock, and when she would conduct her interviews she would have the most annoying laugh, that would make the person so uncomfortable they would admit to anything just to get out of that office.( highly unprofessional.)

Macy's macy's who is getting hired at macy's and who is not

Employment, jobs, learn how to get a job at macy's
Macy’s hiring illegal workers, no much employment eligibility verification by macy’s
Armenians working for macy’s department store at sherman oaks, ca 91423 are the most disgusting people i ever meet. You will find them at macy’s women, men, juniors, shoes, handbags & accessories, watches, beauty, kids, for the home, bed & bath, kitchen, holiday lane, jewelry, furniture, special sales
Ins, immigration authorities must come and check the legal status on all the armenians working for macy’s at sherman oaks, ca 91423
No jobs or employment for american, but macy’s hired lot of armenians
When the usa is having 23 million of unemployed people, those armenians are getting jobs everywhere. Macy’s hired 75% or more of armenians people instead of american or others groups. Also at macy’s burbank, glendale and pasadena
Armenians, if they may have the chance to do so, they will replace the us american flag by the armenians flag. Most armenians don’t fit into our society and reject america and having no respect for anything american
Also it is nonsense to think that macy’s routinely will complete form i - 9, employment eligibility verification - uscis - macy’s will do so, if they want to, and perhaps macy’s will not comply with the law as often as they should
Remains to be seen by the ins authorities if actual legal documents were not obtained by fake’s birth certificates, getting approval by corrupted employees making dirty money on it

Armenians a security risk for the usa
Besides cultural and educational ties to russia, armenians have an endless love affair with the russians, all the armenians speak fluent the russian language.
Armenians live and travel to russia in large number, even from the usa
Armenians by a large number are working at social security administration offices, dmv, and welfare offices and at all the banks. Armenians employees having access to sensitive information can provide a helping hand to another armenian. Armenians believe in armenian power
Some banks employees or some government employees may be enticed and willing to get into the business to provide id, social security numbers or maybe credit card information to crooks. California spotted many cases of stolen information, half of them stolen from banks files by employees, experts outside the banks or government employees
Not working armenians drive very expensive cars and having a lot of cash to spend
An important number of armenians opens its own business as auto repair shop, used car dealer, transmission repair, used auto parts, auto body shop, gas stations, grocery store, and medical supplies and provide jobs to undocumented armenian people (Some or more armenians business owners are also undocumented aliens themselves or registered the business under a different person)
Macy’s has a policy of hiring armenians without looking if a number of these employees have legal documents to work in the usa.
Macy’s, how the system works:
Armenians working already for macy’s always bring friends, family members or members of its community; others apply for a job at macy’s.
An armenian manager will review the application and approve the applicant
Macy’s scavenger for business is well known and it doesn’t matter if it will violate us immigration laws
Cities of glendale, burbank, van nuys, culver city, san fernando valley, canoga park and santa monica is 80%, 70% or 50% taken by armenians and well as most businesses and the number still going up. All theses cities are large cities
Macy’s hired armenians people at the department store, because armenians are not friendly people and will not buy anything from other nationality, whether they are american or not, unless the salesman is an armenian
Those armenians were raised and educated by the ex soviet union (The russians) for 70 years, living in a communist regime that made their life easy without not much working at all, all paid by the russians, but they also learned how to cheat, steal and been part of the mafia
Armenians by very large numbers immigrated to the usa, but its legal status has to be checked by the ins, asap
Most armenians are not well educated people and do not qualify for special visas to get jobs in the usa (They are not software engineers needed for 4 years by intel)
Armenians labels themselves as christians, but armenian people hate others nationalities without distinction. Armenians do not like anybody, except themselves
Armenians still having inside their mind, a communist mind of favoritism and rejection
More than 2 million armenians are living in los angeles and several cities in the san fernando valley, and i think a large number of them are illegal armenians, getting help from powerful armenians and russian groups that provide all kind of help, including false documents.
The armenian connection:
A good number of young armenians are driving very expensive cars, mercedes, bmws, but not having a job. It is very well known that they are involved in car insurance fraud, stolen auto parts and auto body repair shops that participated in car insurance fraud
Car insurance fraud to collect money; a towing trucks driver takes cars only with full insurance to an unknown location and makes it crash with another car having full insurance
They bring back the car to the body repair shop and call the insurance company adjuster
Lawyers filed a claim on that and armenians will get a lot of money on the car accident
Armenians selling used cars with low mileage
Selling cars that previously had damaged engine, but replaced with a high mileage engine. Mostly on those cars, the air conditioning will not work, because the guy replacing the engine cutter downs all the air conditioning plumbing. To fix a stripped down air conditioning cost a few thousand dollars, but they will tell you, the air needs to be recharged

Also medical supplies business is a business that is spread out everywhere, but more that 50% already closed by authorities for fraudulent operation against medicare, medical
Perhaps, not every armenian is a crook, but there are many of them doing things like this. Armenians likes easy money
After the dissolution of the ex soviet union, armenia became a free country with an elected president
Free countries already living in a democracy, do not qualify to have an unlimited quota approved by the us immigration authorities on the number of immigrants allow to enter legally the us.
Armenia do not qualify for any large number of immigrants to enter the usa
On every foreign country the number of immigrants allows is: 8, 000, 15, 000, 30, 000 or even a little higher, but never unlimited
It is my view that perhaps half of those armenians in the us are illegal immigrants having not legal documents to work in the usa
Many years ago, armenians enter to the usa as refuges due to the soviet union occupation on armenia (Armenia was a communist country)
Armenians can not longer qualify as refugees and are restricted to enter the usa, the same with any other foreign country around the world having a democratic government
But armenians, often used documents from other countries to enter the usa, such as turkey, iran, germany and more
It is a nonsense to think that many armenians are legal immigrants living in the usa, when the usa never had and has not a policy to allow millions of people to emigrated from one particular country (Armenia)

If Armenians are getting jobs at Macy's, even when they are illegal workers, where is immigration to stop all that?
Perhaps Macy's pays well to someone and the INS never come to Macy's to check for illegal workers
If Macy's makes and dictates its own immigration policy without any problem at all, obviously we don't any INS Authorities
Or we do?

Macy's credit protection

Now I know. After reading all the complaints, I see I can't take Macy's and their sister company Aon's Credit Pro personally. We too, have been scammed. I have never been so frustrated in my life with the audacity of Macy's and their credit protection company. After being "tricked" into signing for the protection - despite our verbal "NO" to our sales rep - Macy's continues to charge this fee. We chose Macy's to furnish an entire new house. They have lost a huge customer due to their completely idiotic, almost fraudulent transaction. I'm not finished yet. I will make sure that the hassle from me will cost Macy's and AON a lot more $$ than what they refuse to reimburse me. As information - please file a complaint with The Office of the Comptroller of Currency, [protected] website: helpwithmybank.gov address 1301 McKinney Street Suite 3450 Houston, TX [protected]. If we all take this "credit protection" scam just one step further, by making an official complaint, Macy's might find the money spent defending their total disregard for customer satisfaction, just a bit painful. Shame on Macy's. Shame on Aon. I'm embarrassed for you.

Macy's department store the # 1 place for unpaid overtime, false promises, cheating and make your life miserable
Macy’s Department Store, better don’t get any job at Macy’s unless you want to ruin your life. Macy’s Department Store is the most abusive company you can work for

Thanks to Macy’s my wife is a living wreck for the rest of her life
Comments posted by people having a conflict of interest with Macy’s, do not have any value at all and it is a distortion of true facts. How you can trust arrogant Macy’s managers driving a very expensive late model BWW, keeping its nose up and looking at employees like low class people, having not vote and voice to defend their labor rights?
I keep some facts aside to protect people privacy, but as things evolve, I will provide more facts and all the names of the people involved

Then, after years when the Macy’s Department Store and the Sherman Oaks Mall was 100% rebuilt, my wife came back to work over again for Macy’s at Sherman Oaks, CA 91423
In 2008, the manager forced and coerced my wife to sign papers to quit her job (to resign)
Macy’s did discriminatory discharge on my wife. It was wrongful-termination / age-discrimination. Because of her disability, my wife had not idea on the papers signed

In 2002, my wife doctor informed Macy’s of my wife early disability, not having good balance, not walking straight, not speaking much, but she was able to do a different type of work with accommodation
In 2003, my wife asked for accommodation, filled forms at the office, but the request was ignored, because my wife was making more money than others co-workers and Macy’s will not allow my wife to do office work or any type of different work, receiving the same pay check
My wife position: a specialist selling expensive women apparel
Never promoted, but had a superb reputation, having tops reviews and many Macy’s certificates as well as many customer excellent reviews.
My wife received only one salary increase in 25 years, never before and never after that
Macy’s squeezed its employees like a lemon until the lemon will go dry
Macy’s greed is very well known by its employees. You are robot not a human being
Many years ago, and only for 4 days, Macy’s told my wife to do paper work during working hours, but soon after that, Macy’s told my wife not do it no more because it wasn’t productive neither profitable for Macy’s
The Store Manager told my wife to do overtime at home
MACY’S – NOT OVERTIME PAID SINCE 1985 FOR PAPER WORK DONE AT HOME. MACY’S OWES MY WIFE MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN UNPAID OVERTIME
My wife asked the Store Manager if she will get paid for the overtime and the manager answer was: not problem, you will get pay overtime
Over the years, the following department managers told my wife to keep doing home overtime for as long my wife had a job at Macy’s
MACY’S OWES MY WIFE MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN UNPAID OVERTIME from 1985 through 2008, based on thousands of unpaid overtime hours
I’m talking about my wife, a 40 hours weekly full time employee since she was hired in 1985
Macy’s used forced resignation instead of firing my wife to rip off her, to bypass the law and not to pay a dime to my wife, including not severance payment, not overtime paid in 25 years (3.3 hours daily) for work done at home for MACY’S on an hourly employee working 40 hours a week
Because of Macy’s actions, my wife never got any unemployment or workers compensation, neither severance payment
UNPAID TO REPLACED MANAGER AT MACY’S CULVER CITY, CA
Year [protected]-2002 at Macy’s Culver City Mall:
My wife was receiving orders from the store manager to replace the department manager and doing it for 5 years, on and off for months at Macy’s Culver City Mall
The Store Manager told my wife that my wife will receive an increase in her hourly pay. My wife never received a dime for doing the manager job
Several complaints to the office went nowhere
My wife never was laid off in 25 years, having a superb reputation at Macy’s, but never promoted by Macy’s, doing many times, for months, the manager work,
without getting the manager salary or any increased on my wife hourly paid
The resignation was fraudulent, obtained under intimidation, harassment, discrimination and pressure
The department manager used coercion on my wife to gain compliance
The manager purposely did on my wife intentional infliction of emotional distress
While my wife still working at Macy’s, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423, the department manager was nagging my wife for 6 months, in order to forced my wife to sign papers to resign
The forced resignation in 2008 was UNDUE INFLUENCE done by the manager on a person with mental disability (my wife) unable to defend her rights and to protect from predatory practices with tendency to control her mind for Macy’s own gain
In 5-2010, when my wife was hospitalized, $500, 000 paid by Medicare, the doctors at the Hospital wrote on the medical report: that my wife was having a history of slowly deteriorating mental status, difficulties to keep her balance, not walking straight, not speaking much, memory lapses and these symptoms have been going on for the last 2 years, starting on 2008. Macy’s used Undue Influence on my wife to resign
Macy’s forced my wife to resign on [protected]. The Doctors finding will cover [protected] the date of the forced resignation.
Macy’s abused on a person having disability by manipulation, harassment and coercion
MACY’S THE CULPRIT OF THE PROBLEM
In 2010, 2 years after my wife forced resignation, my wife was hospitalized, (paid by Medicare), MRIs, CT Scan and many x-rays were taken. MRIs taken found holes in her brain causing mental disability. The tests that should been taken by Macy’s Insurance, but never approved by Macy’s Health Insurance in 2007, 2006 or before 2005
In 2002, Macy’s Doctor Heath Insurance prescribed 2 danger defective drugs: Fosamax and Nexium putting my wife life upside down
The doctor prescribed these drugs, because of my wife damages while working at Macy’s (got osteoporosis), for not seating, not resting and not taking breaks
Preventive Medical Care or Preventive Medicine was not practiced, neither approved by Macy’s Insurance. Insurance did not approve many drugs
If the lousy Macy’s Health Insurance did approve all the Tests, later done and paid by Medicare, my wife condition will stopped or even been safe by a long shot and having a normal life as before
But for Macy’s profits come first and employees can go straight to hell
CATASTROPHIC INJURIES BY NEGLIGENCE AND VIOLATION OF MY WIFE RIGHTS WHILE WORKING AT MACY’S
We deal here with visible injuries and easily articulated fractures seen in radiographic studies as well on all the MRIs taken at the Medical Offices and the Hospital
For walking the sales floor for 25 years, my wife got damages on her femur, legs, knees, spinal cord for not seating, not resting and not taking breaks.
Also got bladder and Kidney disease for not drinking water
Not drinking water because of the manager pressure on my wife to sale extreme numbers of dollars every day. My wife stopped drinking water to not go to the bathroom and keep selling without control
Manager said: do that or will get in trouble or get fired
My wife forced resignation was on: [protected]
2012. Because of all the abuses done at Macy’s, my wife is a handicap person in a wheel chair for the rest of her life, not speaking, not walking and unable to do anything at all.
I’m also a disabled person and I have to take care of my wife 24 hours around the clock
Macy’s is the American Taliban
Macy’s is a company very hard to deal with and do things above the law

o foxygrandma with a poor image of her own person that tries hard to reflect on other people life
But, you never heard my opinion about you!
Macy's don't give raises to anybody and Macy's violates the Labor Laws all over the USA and never paid overtime and having hundreds of lawsuits
A person that never trust anybody is a person that plays much on the borderline on her own personality
I will make a special box, so you can fit in there, keeping your low opinion about people inside
I think your life is full of non repairable holes
Everyday, you look at the mirror and ask the mirror: is that me?
Because you have doubts is the image is yours or not
Being an old timer and not having anything to do is not the purpose of your reply
You are somehow connected with Macy's
But if you don't agree on what I said, , GO AHEAD AND MAKE MY DAY!

^ How funny that you claim you know everything about Macys, when you never worked or shopped there ever. Stop posting lies and just stay in the kitchen. Thanks, grandma.

Macy's unpaid overtime and unpaid for manager work

Macy's department store
Never get a job at macy's department store, unless you want to screw up your life and being underpaid forever
Macy's the magic not to pay overtime for 25 years. My wife never got paid when my wife replaced the manager and forced to resign by undue influence for her disability

Macy’s department stores greed is very well known by its employees.
Macy' tried hard to persuaded the public opinion on how nice is to work for macy's
It doesn't matter who founded macy's in the early 1900. Macy's was sold to different interest group over and over and chances are that macy's is not longer an american company
At macy's, you are a robot not a human being

Macy's, a company with a tainted reputation that you should not work for
My wife was forced to resign at for her disability at:
Macy's, located in 14000 riverside drive at the fashion center mall, sherman oaks, ca 91423

After the 1994 big northridge earthquake in los angeles, my wife was transferred to work for years for macy's west at culver city mall, culver city, ca
Then, when the macy's and the sherman oaks mall was 100% rebuilt, my wife came back to work over again for macy's at sherman oaks, ca 91423

25 years ago, and only for 4 days, macy’s told employees to do paper
Work during working hours, but soon after that, macy’s told employees not do it
No more because it wasn’t productive neither profitable for macy’s

Macy’s - not overtime paid since 1985 for paper work done at home.
Macy’s owes my wife many thousands of dollars in unpaid overtime from 1985 through 2008, based on thousands of unpaid overtime hours

The flsa rule is that if the employer allows you to work, you have to get paid for all of the time you worked. I'm talking about a 40 hours weekly full time employee, which my wife worked for macy's for 25 years

Macy’s used forced resignation instead of firing my wife to rip off her, to bypass the law and not to pay a dime to my wife, including not severance payment, not overtime paid in
25 years (3.3 hours daily) for work done at home for macy’s on an hourly employee working 40 hours a week
Because of macy's actions, my wife never got any unemployment or workers
Compensation.

For 25 years, macy's took from my wife weekly paycheck, thousands of dollars deductions to pay for california unemployment insurance, that she never used, because my wife was never laid off
My wife never was laid off in 25 years, having a superb reputation at macy's, but never promoted by macy’s.
My wife received many outstanding work reviews and certificates signed by macy's and also many customers reviews for her excellent work done at macy's (I have proof of all that)
For years when my wife was transferred to macy's at culver city mall, california, for many months years my wife replaced the manager, (Doing full time work as the manager did), while the manager was doing a different kind of work for macy's or been in a long vacation or the manager was promoted, without getting the manager salary or any increased on my wife hourly paid
Because my wife was so well qualified to do the manager work (Without the manager hourly pay)
Macy's did let the situation go as far as macy's want to without hiring a new manager to save money
Macy's greed is very well known!
Complaints to the manager and the office went nowhere and ignored
The forced resignation was fraudulent, done by undue influence
Obtained under intimidation, harassment, discrimination and pressure on an old employee having disability
The department manager used coercion on my wife to gain compliance
The manager purposely did on my wife intentional infliction of emotional distress
In 2008, while my wife still working at macy's, sherman oaks, ca 91423, the
Department manager was nagging my wife for 6 months, in order to forced my wife
To sign papers to resign

The forced resignation was undue influence done by the manager on a person with disability (My wife) unable to defend her rights and to protect from predatory practices with tendency to control her mind for macy’s own gain. The manager forced to resign my wife in 10-2008

Employee rights under flsa
Under the flsa, an employee cannot waive their rights. So, when an employer strikes a deal with an employee allowing the employee to work off the clock for tips or for some other purposes, the employer still has to pay wages. The flsa doesn't let employers take advantage of employees in this manner because it would be so easy for an employer to just claim "she just wanted to work a little more for free."

Macy's phone calls

Hello,
I just got back from a four week trip to Asia. I got woken-up by phone calls from Macy's three times! I just wanted to sleep!. They wouldn't talk to me because apparently there is some sort of problem with my wife's account. Well finally on the third call my wife was home. Apparently after 15 years or so of doing business we missed a payment! Did they think that all of a sudden we were going to stop paying them after 15 years. What A!whole makes these decisions. They should be fired! I will never never do business with Macy's again! We have never not paid anybody. Why did we get this treatment. Don't buy anything at Macy's! They just don't care and until they start losing money they will continue to not care. I'm thinking that a holiday boycott may get their attention.

It is not their fault you missed a payment, and whether you miss one or all they have a right to call you. It is not their fault you were sleeping. Boycott all you want. It only shows how ignorant you are.

Dear Fred and Wilma: Department store credit card account? I thought that went the way of S&H Green stamps, personal checks at the grocery checkout, and Shell gasoline credit cards.

Macy's hostile work environment

This has been eating me up about the abusive treatment i recieved in the last six months since the new managers took over team.
i has been employed at this company for five years going on six. as a customer care associate at mcss call-center in Bridgton Missouri. I really take my job seriously and work so hard. All thse years as a macys employee, i have never had any problems nor complaints agasint me up unitl these new bosses and lead took over. i was doing a great job over years nd getting high scores on my Q.P.E, customer compliments, and recogniion from the previouse leads up until now.
What has been notices in this past six months alot of peoples attitudes changed towards me. i've missed meeting becasue i was not informed this took place back in august 2012. at 2:00 after lunch. I found out by another manager from the mod desk and a co-worker during my lunch . when i addressed the she finally told me thr gourp meeting 1:00 p.m. Everytime i come in the room they leave one by one like i am a leper. They avoid eye contact when they see, turn thier backs to me when i go to my desk. They give me the silent treatment. They deal with me like i am just dirty garbage off the streets. many time when get customer complimet calls, the lead ignores them . Last month i asked the lead has she been getting my complimentas that i forward to her. She gave me a disgusted look and said she has not recive them. i dont see her treating other co-workers like that, she smiles, laughs and greet them . With me, she look at me like a pice of garbage off the streets. in her postion that could cause me to loose my job. it like no matter what i do is not pleaseing to the lead of my floor boss. They falsy accused me of stealing but every one else is allowed to go into the snack drawer except me. i can tell they was gossiping behind my back, the dead give away was when i had conversations with the floor mabager and the lad. they said i was asking for cigarettes and money. i asked them who was making these omplaints, they told we cant disclose that. Antoerh co-worker nae zena todl me they was trying spread rumors that i brok in the snack drawer tht really took place over the weekend. that was the same day when i went to my florr manager to asked to get the key to the snack drawer. Zena toldme that the lead and anoehr co-worker spreaded rumors that i busted in the snack drawer stealing. I was so hurt and stressed out by this nasty allegations against me. That Saturday i was so deppressed to where i had to go to he emerency room.
This is when the floor manager started asking me did not know who busted in he snack drawer, i said i did not know . Her response was you was there at night. i looked over at the drawer it was busted., and i am sorry it happend. they did not tell me the snack was in another drawer. then floor manager told me not o go near the drawer, then anoher she had me the key . the floor manager yelled at me when ann shoed me where the snacks was . got irragte with me asked me how many snack you take out a day. The day before this cuured. i aasked monica for the key o he sanck drawer. Then angi and monica started talking aobut me. i asked monica can i have the key to go a snack out of the drawer. Monica gave me a nasty -look aqnd had a hostile attitude ; She asked me what do i want out of there. zena told me they bustoed in he snack over the weekend. but noboy todl me about it. Zena told me that lead said i was scared of her. She was about to go to h.r on my behalf to let them know she did not like the way i was treated.
This work place bullying took place on thursday 10/25/12.. i was being singled out to be reated differently by floor manager, team lead, and oher co-workers. They treated me like a leper. i was not getting a kind word and the silent tretment.
at 8:45 a.m. This incident took place in he caferia when i walked passed the lead. She did not smile or wave when she aw me. i spoke to her first them she finally said hellow back in a shallow manner. 9:00 a.am
Another incident took palce when i just waslk with some scratch paper . the Floor manage deliberatily urned her back after she saw me comoing to my desk and refuse d to look at me. That was a hard strong hit on my feelinlg. But smile and greet other co-workers. This took place whre i was wrongly accused of busting in the snack drawer. She was being very nasty to me to where i had to go to the bathroom in tears. Thsi was said to me by he floor manger and team lead. said that i make people unconfortable coming to work.
i took that as a very bad insult becuase that was attacking my digniy as a person. They said i dont cover my outh when i cough, suggest that i stop coloring at my desk because i am not focused, my calls are gnot genuine, my apolgoies are not sincere, and make badgering me into putting myself down. Asking me wheat kingd of score i should get/ this took palce after i recived my last Q.P.E. the secone was i was walkling and she was soming in . i said hello to the . She did not say hellow back but greets eerybody elshe team. Iths incident took place when having compuer provbelms. ii i called or bnp to inform them my computer was not working .
noticed on he customer servoce evaluation had been geting low scores . i asked who has been monioing my phone calls becasue hat is personl rejection. The sabotoin is tamppering with my computer that is preventing me for getting access to the custoer accounts. and pu ching in late. ear phone wasbeing tampered with becaue he customers cant hear me aor i cat hear them. asked to be placed in npt to gter antoher ehd phone. i went into the stock wroom and jsutine was rude and was hostle. he irratle asked me ; " Did i just come in here lastmonth? : the lead came last hruday to listmen my calls she was shaking her head while i was alking to he customers. i was accused to not listin o the customer soud robotic, not being focused. she had herown note pad and made me sigh he paper . i asked for a copy and she reufsed to give me the copy.

Macy's macy's forced to resign my wife for her disability (by undue influence)

MACY’S forced my wife to resign for her disability by Undue Influence
The manager forced and coerced my wife to sign papers to quit her job (to resign)
Macy’s did discriminatory discharge on my wife
It was wrongful-termination / age-discrimination
Because of her disability, my wife had not idea on the papers signed
Macy's never placed my wife in a different job for her disability, a violation of ADA and EEOC, when an employee become disabled
In 2003, my wife doctor informed Macy's of my wife early disability
In 2005, my wife asked for accommodation, filled forms at the office, but the request was ignored, because my wife was making more money than others co-workers and Macy's will not allow my wife to do office work or any type of different work
My wife position: floor sales – (never promoted, but had a superb reputation)
MACY’S - NOT OVERTIME PAID SINCE 1983 FOR WORK DONE AT HOME
Macy’s used forced resignation instead of firing my wife to rip off her, to bypass the law and not to pay a dime to my wife, including not severance payment, not overtime paid in 25 years (3.3 hours daily) for work done at home for MACY’S on an hourly employee working 40 hours a week

Macy's discrimination

Horrible managers. I heard one of the managers there say to an associate that she needed to watch her the Puerto Rican one. Meaning me cause I looked like someone who would steal. Horrible people horrible place I can take my money elsewhere. Going to that executive office to complain was a joke . That place needs to be boycotted

one more thing I am not ashamed to admit this. Last year I used my 8 and 11 year old daughters to help me steal from them. I was caught banned from the store and learned my lesson but because I am Puerto Rican they think I am unwed, on WIC and would steal again.
