Macy's lost payments and auto pay

Worst credit card ever! Automatic payment means you can set it up one time for that one month and then mine was cancelled. Then they charged me a late fee and when I contacted them they "found" the payment. Then I saw that they charged me for interest which I should not have to pay anyway since my payment was for the entire amount. I paid it just to be done with it but they cancelled that payment and charged me a late fee on the $4 interest fee. Their website is awful - I cannot see a copy of my statement and my payment history details, which say that the payment was somehow cancelled and it won't show me the amount I paid later that month either. The money I am saving by using the card is being charged against me in made up late fees. I hate this company!

Macy's customer service - furniture

I am writing to complain about the total failure of your delivery service and your customer care center in resolving an ongoing issue with furniture I have purchased from your Fair Oaks Mall store. I purchased a recliner on March 27, 2014, Sales check #[protected].
I waited for two months for delivery and when it was finally delivered it was damaged. I was told to keep the chair until a replacement could be delivered. Two weeks later another delivery was scheduled. I waited another day for delivery only to have another damaged chair delivered, which I refused to accept. Again I was promised another chair within a week or two. Another delivery was scheduled and this time I went out to the truck to inspect the chair before they brought it into my home. I watched the delivery men unpack the chair form it's cardboard shipping box, inspected the chair and found a crack in one of the braces; again I refused delivery and I was told by the drivers that it should have need inspected at the warehouse before being loaded for delivery; apparently it was not. I called customer service to file a complaint. Your phone staff have always been apologetic and courteous. I was offered a $50 gift card my trouble and told that the next delivery would be scheduled in two weeks; that notes would be made to insure that the chair was thoroughly inspected at the warehouse, carefully repacked and delivered. I was given a delivery date for the following week. The date came and I never received a confirmation call or a delivery time. I called the customer service department and complained and I was told that they had no record of the scheduled delivery. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available, and that one would call me back; they never did. Today June 15th I was scheduled for a morning delivery between 9:30 and 11:30. I received a phone call mid morning telling me that there was a problem at the warehouse and that the delivery would be delayed and that someone would call me with a new time. No one called and I was forced to call customer service. I was told that the truck had a mechanical issue and now the delivery was scheduled for between 1 and 3:00. I asked to speak to a supervisor again and I have been waiting online for almost a half hour and have yet to talk to a supervisor. I am totally frustrated and upset and am prepared to cancel my order, have you pick up the damaged chair and return my money. My credit card should have never been charged for this damaged char until this issue was resolved. I am so dissatisfied with Macy's handling of this purchase that I will never walk into a Macy's store or purchase another item form Macy's again. I am also prepared to share my experience with all of my friends, family and connections on each of the social media sites I belong to. At this point I honestly believe that Macy's could care less about satisfying me or resolving these issues. My time is valuable and Macy's has wasted 4 days of my time because of the ineptness and lack of care by your warehouse and delivery staff. Your customer service supervisor apparently had no desire to talk to me because I am still waiting, a half hour later, for them to pick up and talk to me. I don't understand how you could possibly call this customer service. My home number is listed above; I am anxiously awaiting to hear your response or see if anyone cares enough to call me back.

Macy's terrible

I was an outside vendor working inside of Macy's Cross County for a little over 2 years. I've never had a job I hated to go to as much as I did when I worked in this location! Lets start with the customers, who are allowed to treat you with such disrespect with no help from security or management. The girl's I worked with were almost attacked on numerous occasions from patrons and nothing was done about it besides being told to walk away. There was one serious incidence where a man was inside of the store from 11am until 6:45pm, stalking women by the bathroom on the second floor and even followed a pregnant worker back to her counter and proceeded to follow her behind her counter where only employees were allowed. She called security, came to my counter to hide and told me how she had seen him all day and he was following her around the store bothering her. As she was telling me this, 2 police officers came down the aisle, pulled out their guns and told the man to drop his weapon. This man ended up stealing 2 BUTCHER KNIVES from the Home Department and was carrying them, concealed, the whole time he was in the store harassing people. Not one person from security informed anyone to stay away from this man and thinking back on it, if he would've left with those knives, he would've done some serious damage to someone outside of the store. Not only that, if he had a gun on him, those officers would've began shooting inside of the department store where there were workers, women and children around. That completely disgusted me! No one from security tried to warn the workers to stay away from this guy, just like how they don't do their jobs majority of the time anyway. I've seen customers steal and called security to inform them and they would respond "what would you like me to do." Or if there was a lost child, or a lost elderly person looking for their family, you would get the same response. So what are you there for?! There's also a bed bug problem behind the counter of Fashion Fair in the cosmetics department. Workers have been getting numerous bites working behind that counter and when this was told to management, the next day they said that the problem was fixed overnight. I've never had an experience with bed bugs but I know from the stories I've heard that you can't just spray them and expect that they're all gone. But the management there was never too good at telling the truth. If you think you want to work there, make sure the managers you have to deal with like you because if they don't, they will find a way to get you fired. But from my experience, you can do better...find another place to work, thios place is disgusting!

Macy's sandra employment

I worked for Macys during the past Christmas holiday season, and this summer I applied for a part-time job.
The interview went well, and the interviewer was pleased as she described the job available. She also stated that if the job was filled, she wanted me to work in her department.
However, I received an email that there was no available job to match my qualifications.
I knew I was in trouble when I saw an African American supervisor who stopped speaking to me
during my brief employment last winter. I accidentally walked into a room where she was conferring with another coworker, and she was very rude as she addressed me. After that, I stayed clear of this lady.
So, when I walked into the human resources department and saw her sitting at a desk, I knew I would not be hired, even though I had great ratings during my brief tenure. Where is the justice? As a retired educator, I am used to surrounding myself with professional people, but this was not the case at Macys.

Macys is operating a scam with worry no more warranty. The warranty is useless and " full of worry" because they try to get out of every legitimate claim. Do not buy furniture from Macy's and do not let them talk you into a warranty.

You know, I went to several interviews for a Bank and I thought I had the job many times... What a shock when I did not get any of those positions... I NEVER thought it was any one person that made me not get the positions that I applied for... I also NEVER posted a complaint that the "African American" person had anything to do with it...

Macy's job interview

I had a interview today for a position in macys.everthing was fine during the interview, then when I though that everything was fine, the person who interview me said, you know at this moment we don't have any position available for you and I asked her "Why"and she said that she doesn't know. It doesn't have any sense then I think, is beacause I am a immigrant or because my accent, then when I came to my home I opened the website macysjob they have a lot of positions and feel so angry, Number 1 she lied to me, she wasn't honest at all Whith me and I asked is because my English or my accent then I ask we still have the discrimination?

Macy's pretty much stealing

I was offered a credit card at macy's, and went ahead and decided to take advantage of it. Huge mistake! I tried to pay it three different times, issues with their server, the could not take my payment once, and they flat out did not cash my check the second time. They have been slapping interest on ever since, what was $200 that I had every intention to pay is now $600. As a student who does not work much I only borrow what I know I can pay, macy's was misleading in their actions and in my opinion extremely irresponsible as a business by making it almost impossible for their customers to pay them... Of course until after enough interest has accrued for them to call me every day. Never again!

Macy's thief - under investigation

This guy was under investigation for internal theft while he was manager in the jewelry department, and was given the job of loss prevention manager after the firing of a good loss prevention manager, by Bob Henle the dlpm at the time, whom knew he was under investigation and shut it down just to fill the spot, because Bob Henle and Laura Rivera th internal investigator knew the guy was a good RAT, very corrupt...

Macy's suspension

I've been working at Macys for over a year and for the first time I make the wrong decision to give someone I know an extra 20% off because I didn't have my wallet, which meant no macys card, to pay for what I wanted. I didn't want them to buy it for me but they insisted and brought it to my register and I rung them out without telling them about the extra. Then I was pulled into LP and interrogated for an hour. I told them the complete truth. They also brought up starting a return then canceling it before the store even opens. When you get something that is non-congruent, a slip prints out that says whether or not it can go on clearance or if it should go in the stock room. I go through the rack to organize it and if I see anything that isn't our stores merchandise, since it tends to vary from place to place. So in order to see if I can just put it on a clearance rack or if it has to go in the stock room for non-congruent items .
I've been put on suspension for the extra discount and I've paid back the $4.80 that I owed. I was told to call our stores HR rep. within 24 hours, which I did, but she hasn't been in the store for a few days so I left a message with our executive office, who said she'd email her. I have left a few messages. It's been 4 days but I haven't heard anything about it. And I am really afraid of losing my job right now.

I don't see what the big problem is. The person who left the comment that something sounds "suspicious" is just an [censored], and acts as though his/her [censored] don't stink and that all they've done is walk this world without ever ever doing anything. Why are people so damn judgmental. Macy's is awful for doing that. People often do things with good intentions and people with more experience in certain matters step in and find fault. The person working at macy's who gave the friend a discount is a law enforcement officer so the associate sees things through different lenses. I hope you didn't lose your job. Sometimes we learn from our mistakes, but that doesn't mean our mistakes are sinister.

Macy's rude & unhelpful customer service

On December 6, I received an order I had placed online. When I opened the package, I discovered that they had incorrectly packed two of the same sweaters and completely omitted another. I called their customer service and was unfortunate enough to get Maria...honestly Macy's, if you're paying this woman minimum wage, it's too much. She was condescending and very unsympathetic even though this issue is entirely Macy's fault, not mine. After 17 minutes discussing the matter and her continually putting me on hold, she would not send the sweater that I had ordered until I sent the incorrect one that they sent me back. My credit card information is on file I would assume, so what's the problem? She also told me that I could 'easily' return the sweater for exchange at the nearest Macy's store; never mind that the nearest store is 100 miles away from me. When I mentioned that, she muttered something I didn't get, . After dealing with her, I was looking forward to the survey that I agreed to take after the call. She asked me if I was still going to participate in the survey, and I said, "Most definitely", and then she cut me off so I couldn't take the survey. Poor choice in hiring this one, Macy's.

First of all you mistake being told no and not getting you way as rudeness, which proves that you are obviously a child. I ask before sending the credit card info did you get your parents permission? Clearly with your attitude you are too young to have a credit card.

Macy's billing error

On 10/9 I purchased 3 items online that all came to $674.83, a hold was put on my account for that amount. Today (10/11), I checked my account and saw that my account was debited the amount for two of the purchases, and the other purchase was still pending action, in addition to the $674.83. At this point, Macy's had placed a hold for $674.83 plus $345.60, in addition to correctly charging me for the other two items.
I used their online site to resolve the matter, leaving my contact information around 7am, at 1pm, I tried calling. The VRU does not provide a way to speak with someone regarding an online purchase, so I acted as if I had a credit card error. Anyway, I did get to speak to someone with an accent, who first stated I would need to wait for 5 to 10 business days for the hold to be released. After I told him that was unacceptable, he then requested I provide my credit card number over the phone, which I refused. The next thing I knew I was speaking to a representative of my bank. After verification, she informed me that the representative needed to BILL my account. I explained to her the issue and she told me that Macy's would need to contact their Merchant department to release the hold. I let her know that I was aware of this and that is why I called Macy's.
This time I called corporate headquarters, again, I was told I would need to wait 3-5 business days. Again, I stated that was unacceptable. When I shop, I would expect to have a hold on the entire amount, or if you are shipping separately, hold 3 items. I am experiencing a short time lost of $1, 020.43, which is $674.83 over expectations. The representative did call me back to say the funds will be available tomorrow, we'll see. This matter should not have been so hard to resolve, and Macy's response should not be legal, is it?

Macy's false coupon ad - misleading customers

I went to the lake forest mall macy's in gaithersburg this morning (9/7/13) because I had a macy's coupon from a newspaper. this coupon is macy's wow! $10 off all sale & clearance apparel and select home items on purchase of $25 or more. the coupon was valid 9/6 'til 1pm or 9/7 'til 1pm. I found 3 clearance lady's tops amounted to $30.95. when I paid at the counter with the $10 off coupon, I was told that the coupon did not apply to my purchase because the clearance items were already at a low price and macy's made no profit on these items. why would macy's put out the $10 off coupon on all sale and clearance apparel in the newspaper and then not honoring the coupon where sale condition was met. this amounts to false advertisement to lure customers into the store. by doing so, macy's alienate its customers which is a bad business practice.in future, I will think twice about shopping at macy's.

Macy's ralph lauren bedroom set

I purchased a bedroom set and dining room set from macys. the brand name was Ralph Lauren, very expensive line. this whole experience was just horrible, and very poor customer service. For almost one year, macy's was trying to deliver me a complete, undamaged dining set. Every time the delivery crew would come over with a damaged furniture and they would take it back again. after trying for one year, they end up canceling my order and refunded my money. the reason i am saying this is because i have the bedroom set by ralph lauren again which i purchased at the same time with the dining set and I very disappointed with the bedroom set because it is a very poor quality, not worth a penny. The drawers doesn't open and close normal, makes a noise. It has some damages on it from the delivery. The furniture is losing its color. I do not have a direct sun light on the furniture and i do not understand why its happening. The bed is making squeaky noise and wiggling. I am a person who takes a good care of things especially when i pay a lot of money for something. I have called numerous time to Macys customer service and addressed my complaint and my disappointment. they are very extremely rude, they do not even bother to listen to my complaint they are saying if its over 30 days then they can not take it back. I have called their executive office and i got the same answer. I now have tiers in my eyes. it took me a long time to collect money to do this purchase and now i am stuck with a bad quality bed set and i can not do anything about it. on top of all this i went thru a very very stressful time. During all this run arounds i was pregnant and macys really gave me a hard time and their service has been discussing.
I am asking for help, to resolve this issue.

Macy's failure to advertise promotional job openings

Why is Macy's at Newport Mall failing to advertise job openings to employees? Why are they stating that there are manager's openings but once the person retires from the position Macy's already has a person lined up to fill that position who comes from another store. They are not giving employees who have already put in time at the store a chance to apply for the job. They are baiting employees into applying for the job knowing fully well that they have already hired someone else. Is this discrimination? Is this legal?
Is Macy's breaking it's own hiring rules? This needs to be investigated.

You are absolutely correct about this. I have stated this in writing with the instore-solutions, which dosn't work. In-store solutions only sides with it's company managers in their unethical promotional practices. I am currently dealing with this situation as we speak. I just received a response from the so called investigator from in-store solutions, stating that she didn't find my complaints a legitimate, when all the facts are there. I even gave her positions and names. Now I am wondering what education or skill training she had to qualify her as an investigator, other than working for Macy's for 15 years. In my store, the manager is the worst, she constantly puts people into positions without giving everyone the opportunity to interview for the position, but like you have stated. It appears that management already have someone for the position. Note: I have been the extreme seller and rising star in the store since I have started working there. This really doesn't count for anything. They appear to promote individuals that have worked for Macy's for years, with very little education and wouldn't know the first thing about leading others, let along coaching.

Macy's wont let me cancel the card

My son bought a ring at Macy's two years ago. He was 100.00 short so the clerk suggested that he get a credit card. He was 20 years old at the time. He was preapproved for the 100.00 dollars that he needed. Since then he has been billed numerous times. He has sent 100.00 to them twice but, still the bills keep coming while accumulating more and more fees. He never received a card at the store or in the mail but, they certainly have an account for him. He has paid some of their fees while also calling them and writing to them about wanting to cancel the card. Now a collection agency is calling constantly. When he talks to the collection agency, they tell him to talk to macys(city card) which would be great if you could talk to a real person that could help. They keep telling him to write a letter, which he has done twice. This is outrageous! The original 100.00 that he was originally billed is now costing him about 400.00 and they wont cancel the card. They are ruining his otherwise good credit, all over 100.00. They wont talk to me (his mom) because I am not the account holder. This needs to stop now! I just wish we could talk to a real person that actually has the authorization to do something. Is he going to continue to rack up fees for the rest of his life? Help!

Macy's macys ruined my credit score!!!

My husband and I have had almost 30 years of impeccable credit...until Macy's chose to report me to a credit reporting agency. Apparently, I had a $6.97 charge on my account. Macy's chose to stop sending me paper statements in lieu of online statements without informing me of this change...and to a Gmail account I rarely check (I honestly probably wouldn't have opened it anyway since I get junk mail from Macy's on a daily basis). Over a three month period they kept adding late fees to this account until it totaled $61.00, at which time they reported me to Equifax. At no time during this three month period did I receive snail mail informing me of an outstanding balance. I always, always pay my bills on time - and usually pay all credit card balances in full - so it's not as if I have a history of even slightly blemished credit. I cannot begin to express how livid I am over this situation. When I spoke to the customer service rep tonight, he informed me that Macy's has the right to change their method of billing from snail mail to email without informing me. How can this possibly be legal? I will definitely be contacting the Attorney General and the BBB over this!

Macy's notified every single customer every month in their statements for 6 months about the statement change. Had you read your inserts that came with your bills you would have noticed it. You also have the option of using your account online. Don't blame anyone but yourself for your credit issues.

Macy's very mean spirited and takes out people for her own personal reasons

this lady is very shady, and was booted out of Florida cause she was so hard up for cases that she often went after people for personal reasons rather than a un-bias investigation, for example she had a loss prevention in Dadeland Florida fired because he would not go out with her, and when she is jealous of someone she would get them on some kind of made up policy violation, and with the regular store employees she would lie to her bosses to get them prosecuted, she herself violates policies all the time, she steals time shopping on the clock and going to eat all the time on the clock, and when she would conduct her interviews she would have the most annoying laugh, that would make the person so uncomfortable they would admit to anything just to get out of that office.( highly unprofessional.)

Macy's macy's who is getting hired at macy's and who is not

Employment, jobs, learn how to get a job at macy's
Macy’s hiring illegal workers, no much employment eligibility verification by macy’s
Armenians working for macy’s department store at sherman oaks, ca 91423 are the most disgusting people i ever meet. You will find them at macy’s women, men, juniors, shoes, handbags & accessories, watches, beauty, kids, for the home, bed & bath, kitchen, holiday lane, jewelry, furniture, special sales
Ins, immigration authorities must come and check the legal status on all the armenians working for macy’s at sherman oaks, ca 91423
No jobs or employment for american, but macy’s hired lot of armenians
When the usa is having 23 million of unemployed people, those armenians are getting jobs everywhere. Macy’s hired 75% or more of armenians people instead of american or others groups. Also at macy’s burbank, glendale and pasadena
Armenians, if they may have the chance to do so, they will replace the us american flag by the armenians flag. Most armenians don’t fit into our society and reject america and having no respect for anything american
Also it is nonsense to think that macy’s routinely will complete form i - 9, employment eligibility verification - uscis - macy’s will do so, if they want to, and perhaps macy’s will not comply with the law as often as they should
Remains to be seen by the ins authorities if actual legal documents were not obtained by fake’s birth certificates, getting approval by corrupted employees making dirty money on it

Armenians a security risk for the usa
Besides cultural and educational ties to russia, armenians have an endless love affair with the russians, all the armenians speak fluent the russian language.
Armenians live and travel to russia in large number, even from the usa
Armenians by a large number are working at social security administration offices, dmv, and welfare offices and at all the banks. Armenians employees having access to sensitive information can provide a helping hand to another armenian. Armenians believe in armenian power
Some banks employees or some government employees may be enticed and willing to get into the business to provide id, social security numbers or maybe credit card information to crooks. California spotted many cases of stolen information, half of them stolen from banks files by employees, experts outside the banks or government employees
Not working armenians drive very expensive cars and having a lot of cash to spend
An important number of armenians opens its own business as auto repair shop, used car dealer, transmission repair, used auto parts, auto body shop, gas stations, grocery store, and medical supplies and provide jobs to undocumented armenian people (Some or more armenians business owners are also undocumented aliens themselves or registered the business under a different person)
Macy’s has a policy of hiring armenians without looking if a number of these employees have legal documents to work in the usa.
Macy’s, how the system works:
Armenians working already for macy’s always bring friends, family members or members of its community; others apply for a job at macy’s.
An armenian manager will review the application and approve the applicant
Macy’s scavenger for business is well known and it doesn’t matter if it will violate us immigration laws
Cities of glendale, burbank, van nuys, culver city, san fernando valley, canoga park and santa monica is 80%, 70% or 50% taken by armenians and well as most businesses and the number still going up. All theses cities are large cities
Macy’s hired armenians people at the department store, because armenians are not friendly people and will not buy anything from other nationality, whether they are american or not, unless the salesman is an armenian
Those armenians were raised and educated by the ex soviet union (The russians) for 70 years, living in a communist regime that made their life easy without not much working at all, all paid by the russians, but they also learned how to cheat, steal and been part of the mafia
Armenians by very large numbers immigrated to the usa, but its legal status has to be checked by the ins, asap
Most armenians are not well educated people and do not qualify for special visas to get jobs in the usa (They are not software engineers needed for 4 years by intel)
Armenians labels themselves as christians, but armenian people hate others nationalities without distinction. Armenians do not like anybody, except themselves
Armenians still having inside their mind, a communist mind of favoritism and rejection
More than 2 million armenians are living in los angeles and several cities in the san fernando valley, and i think a large number of them are illegal armenians, getting help from powerful armenians and russian groups that provide all kind of help, including false documents.
The armenian connection:
A good number of young armenians are driving very expensive cars, mercedes, bmws, but not having a job. It is very well known that they are involved in car insurance fraud, stolen auto parts and auto body repair shops that participated in car insurance fraud
Car insurance fraud to collect money; a towing trucks driver takes cars only with full insurance to an unknown location and makes it crash with another car having full insurance
They bring back the car to the body repair shop and call the insurance company adjuster
Lawyers filed a claim on that and armenians will get a lot of money on the car accident
Armenians selling used cars with low mileage
Selling cars that previously had damaged engine, but replaced with a high mileage engine. Mostly on those cars, the air conditioning will not work, because the guy replacing the engine cutter downs all the air conditioning plumbing. To fix a stripped down air conditioning cost a few thousand dollars, but they will tell you, the air needs to be recharged

Also medical supplies business is a business that is spread out everywhere, but more that 50% already closed by authorities for fraudulent operation against medicare, medical
Perhaps, not every armenian is a crook, but there are many of them doing things like this. Armenians likes easy money
After the dissolution of the ex soviet union, armenia became a free country with an elected president
Free countries already living in a democracy, do not qualify to have an unlimited quota approved by the us immigration authorities on the number of immigrants allow to enter legally the us.
Armenia do not qualify for any large number of immigrants to enter the usa
On every foreign country the number of immigrants allows is: 8, 000, 15, 000, 30, 000 or even a little higher, but never unlimited
It is my view that perhaps half of those armenians in the us are illegal immigrants having not legal documents to work in the usa
Many years ago, armenians enter to the usa as refuges due to the soviet union occupation on armenia (Armenia was a communist country)
Armenians can not longer qualify as refugees and are restricted to enter the usa, the same with any other foreign country around the world having a democratic government
But armenians, often used documents from other countries to enter the usa, such as turkey, iran, germany and more
It is a nonsense to think that many armenians are legal immigrants living in the usa, when the usa never had and has not a policy to allow millions of people to emigrated from one particular country (Armenia)

If Armenians are getting jobs at Macy's, even when they are illegal workers, where is immigration to stop all that?
Perhaps Macy's pays well to someone and the INS never come to Macy's to check for illegal workers
If Macy's makes and dictates its own immigration policy without any problem at all, obviously we don't any INS Authorities
Or we do?
