Macy's billing

Hello Customer service,

Good Morning! This is Meena here. I had visited the Newpark Mall office CA, met the HR Diana Diaz, and spoke with her regarding my bill of $ 17.29 which was paid by me on 09/25/2016. She had even given me a copy of the receipt. I had send this copy to the customer service office in OHIO through USPS along with a letter requesting them to look into my matter seriously. But the customer service has not bothered to do this and again on Saturday 4th Feb, 2017 I received a bill with interest of $ 137.00 to the bill of $ 17.29. Please could you correct it as the customer service mentioned that they cannot see this bill on their system.

I do not want my credit score to be affected because of this. I would have to go legal ( meet with an attorney) if this goes on for more time. I rang up the customer service many times but they showed no response. Please help me out from this mess and it would be great if you would do the correction in the system from your side.

Hoping to hear a favorable response from you soon. Have a great day.

{The transaction history is as follows:
09/25/[protected], register 73, [protected] 6.35 PM, Cash $20.29, charge, $17.29, Change 3.00$, Drawer was Opened.} Newpark Mall Macy's.

Regards,
Meena

Macy's macy's in store pick

I purchased an item to be picked up at the store. The item was purchased on 12/27/6. Due to to the holidays and the weather, I wasn't going to be able to pick up the item until the first week of January. I received an email saying if I didn't pick up the item, which was already charged to my account, it would be returned. I called and talked to the sales clerk and said I wouldn't be able to pick the item up until the 5th and would they be able to hold it and the sales clerk said that wouldn't be a problem and took my name. On the 5th, I went to pick up the item and after 40 minutes of waiting it was no where to be found and the manager said it was probably put back because they were doing inventory. Why did I only get a week to pick this item up which I had paid and I want to know where the item went when I called and asked them to hold it. If I hadn't already been charged for the item I could understand them returning it but they didn't hesitate to charge my credit card when I placed the order. Wouldn't that mean it was my item and I could decide what to do with it? I will never shop at Macy's again. No wonder they're closing so many stores. With customer service like this, who wants to patronize their stores

It's possible the items were in high demand. Did you ask them to be held for a certain time frame or until a certain date?

Macy's knowing that my store was on their closing list

I am a employee for Macys. I feel Macys knew my store was on their closing list way before they told us on 01/04/17. We were being led on that our store was one of the best out of 800 stores and that our chance of closing was not going to happen. Macys told the media in the Summer say July August 2016. They had their list. They led us on. They did not want us to quit and leaventhem dry for the Christmas season. Oh we got the official letter on 01/04/17. But wgat I am saying they knew way before and just used is employees so we would not leave. What can I do legally to fight this huge company that they were unjust and very infair and sekfish in leading us on. Please someone give me their input.

The store is able to notify you at any time they deem fit. Unfortunately it is not always what you need in advance, but this is the nature of businesses in retail.

Macy's continual billing after I closed account and paid balance in full

I paid my Macy's credit card off over 6 months ago and cancelled it. Since then I have received two more bills and have had to sit on hold for at least an hour each time for them to fix the problem. The last time I had to do it was around September 2016 and they apologized and said it was completely taken care of.
Today is December 28th and once again I received a bill for $13.00. My account number is [protected]. I am so frustrated with them at this point I don't know what to do.

Macy's credit card

I was pressured to apply for a credit card while buying one lipstick in NYC on vacation over three years ago and my credit scores tanked. Not only did they mail the card to the wrong address, they reported my payment of 30$ late and added late fees and interest causing my bill for the lipstick to reach over $100. After contacting the credit agencies and Macy's I am still unable to improve my credit. It is criminal.
Beware of Macy's and the Gap both have destroyed my credit rating despite my payment in full of each acct.

How would they send a card to the wrong address? It goes where you put on your application. No one ruined your credit but you.

Macy's not in stock items

I made an order and later Macy's representative contacted me and said that my order was not available and offered to pick something else. So I made another order and later found out that it was also not in stock!
What a terrible website! Why don't they update their website more often, why are there items which are not available listed as in stock? I'm very disappointed. I don't want to waste my time trying to figure out which items are available!

Macy's customer service

I have had much trouble with Macy's customer service last month, and after four failed attempts to place an international order, I sent them one last message trying to solve the situation, which I copy below. I never even received an answer from them.

"Dear Sir or Madam,

We are Brazilian customers who have tried to buy 20 products from macys.com in the last days, but the four orders that we have placed have been cancelled.

We made the first attempt through the internet (order # [protected]) and our order was cancelled. The second attempt was made by Macy’s employee Kristine Laurence, after we talked to her through the online chat, and once again the order was cancelled (order # MM16890103174).

After this we have called Macy’s four times and were transferred over and over again from department to department, from “.com” to “international” to “customer services” and back. These calls lasted in total over eighty minutes. Finally, after much confusion, bureaucracy, misinformation and redoing everything that we had already done many times, an order was placed for the third time and was cancelled, and then an order was placed for the fourth time (order # MM16890554093).

We have just received the information that this fourth order has also been cancelled.

Now we can no longer use the promo code which gave us more than USD 90 in discount, two of the twenty products that we were buying are no longer available, and there might no longer be time for us to try to place the order again because our family member might no longer be in the United States to receive the products when they are delivered.

Almost all of the products that we were buying are not delivered to Brazil (and if they are, shipping fees are much more expensive).

We are honest customers who have every condition to pay for the products we want to buy and we gave you all the information requested from us, at all times.

The final result is that we have lost a huge amount of time trying to solve this in the last few days, we are not going to receive any products and we are going to pay for a huge amount in international phone calls.

We are extremely upset about this situation, but nevertheless willing, for now, to solve these disagreements without resorting to legal action. We expect a response from you.

Thank you very much.

Macy's $2 "minimum interest charge" fee

I had a zero balance on my Macy'c card prior to making a $37.44 purchase in August 2016. Received my statement in early September 2016 and they had added a $2 "minimum interest charge" fee so I now owed $39.44 for August purchase. Immediately paid the full balance including the mysterious fee and closed the account as it is wrong to charge interest if a balance is not carried. I pay off the card every month.

I missed a payment quite by mistake and incurred a late fee. I talked to CS and explained that I'm a long term customer and my payment record is exemplary; I pay them off each month. CS waived part of the fee and confirmed the amount due. I paid it in full. The next pay cycle, I get a bill with yet another late payment fee. What the heck? I paid it with full intention of closing the account. Today, with no recent purchases, they bill me for $2. Just because. This is absurd. I have a number of credit cards and I have never had an issue like this. I am closing the account and sending finely shredded cards to the landfill. This has got to be against the law.

Macy's furniture delivery

On August 3rd I ordered a sectional from Macy’s. A beautiful full leather sectional with recliners, on sale for a mere $3943.93. (it was indeed a deal) I was given a date that they would be receiving it as 9/5/16. Ok I was not thrilled with the delivery but accepted it.
Now, I was also faced with getting rid of my current couch. Because scheduling the removal of the old and the delivery of the new involved coordination, I called Sears on the 22nd of August to see if I could get a date that would probably work for the removal people as well as for them, and was told that the receipt was moved back to Sept 10th. ? Why? They blamed the manufacturer for the date push back and said that no reason was given by the manufacturer.
I was told that I was not notified because the date was moved back only 5 days. The don’t notify unless its moved 7 days. I was also told yes after asking that if the date were to be moved back another 5 days I would not be notified because, well, it’s only 5 days even though the total would equal 10. The can keep moving back the arrival date to their facility indefinitely and not notify the buyer because of their silly policy.
When they refused to do anything about it because it was the “manufacturers date given” I called the manufacturer directly at the US office in California. I was told that the order had been shipped and received by Sears. They have had it for some time. It was shipped in a container and they have certainly had it for a while.
In reality my $3900 couch is sitting in a container at Sears and it’s not scheduled to be unloaded till the 10th. On my second call to them to let them know that they actually had my sectional, I was told it could take as much as 10 days or more to schedule a delivery AFTER they unpack it. That just moved my date back to the 20th! and, if that weren’t enough, it may be moved back once again by another 5 days.
Why don’t people tell the truth? I can work with the truth. I will NEVER, give them, another dime of my money for anything again.

Macy's unauthorized use of credit card/identity theft

Macy's interest charge accrued and I was never billed

In January I made a purchase for $38.00 and was to be billed online. I never received a bill. Concerned, I sent them $40. I never heard from them, no bill, no correspondence, no phone call. Monday I received an ebill, my first ever from them through my bank for $185 interest. When I called to try to resolve this, It took 2 hours to try to get to the correct department to complain and it kept routing back to the original number. Two times I was routed to account disputes and was disconnected before I could talk. I called back a few days later, told my complaint and they are holding me liable, stating they called me...I was never called, and there were no voice messages. An agent I talked to ono Monday stated they sent me an email statement. A lie, nothing was ever received. They settled with me for $111. I feel is consumer fraud. I have cancelled my account and will never shop there again.

Macy's no breaks and unfair pay

The managers refused to let the employees take breaks and yelled at you if you asked for one. By law they are required to give employees breaks, but since they never had anyone to cover the breaks, they would not allow any of the employees to take breaks. In addition I found out that I was being paid way less than all the other employees doing my same job, and I had been with the company a longer time. I was always on time, did my job professionally, so there was no reason I should have been receiving lower pay, and that is discrimination. Because I never received a break and was never allowed to eat I got sick and had to quit. The managers also were told to yell at the employees and give them way too much work for just one person. The company also refuses to hire more employees to help out because they are trying to save money. It is a very unfair and abusive job environment.

Macy's jonathan lewis sofas manufacturing quality control issue

First of all, realize when you go to Macy's to buy your furniture, research the manufacture first before you make your choices to purchase. It is very embarrassing that Macy's Mr. Lungren, CEO and his President Jeffery Gennette, President who oversee the infrastruture of merchandise for their company. As so many company's outsource products like Macy's to China or other third world county, they are able to produce greater revenues through company Marketing personnel. The problem with Macy's out sourcing merchandise contracts to third world counties who don't have the necessary quality control infrastructure to maintain the quality control tools available produces all these problem for their customers. Macy's has changed their management style philosophy's that don't match company FAQs media relations not matching their company bio philosophies. They do not empower Omnichannel respresentatives with trust to resolve customer service issues. Basically, the moral of the story I uncovered is not to every buy the warrenty they want you to buy from them. Company warranties are sufficient to the life integrity of the sofa. The extended warranties deflect Macy's accountability to do satisfy their customers with resolutions. If Macy's can convince you too handle issues through their warranty purchased contract, then your automatically at their mercy instead of the company manufactured the product in the first place. Macy's prime objective is to save their company money at any cost regardless of how the customer is treated with satisfaction. Always do not purchase issues covered through home owners insurance and manufacture warranties sufficient to do directly what Macy's wants to have control over, and they want your extra money for a service that is adequately covered over time. All things, considered over time, cost effectiveness is simply best handled through the manufacture instead of Macy's. The warrantee are bogus for things that manufactures free coverage. Jonathan Lewis product are rated to be a lower end of furniture quality. I personally would never buy that product again. Every sofa purchased became defective, number 3 replacement was not worth the strike again of poor quality.

Macy's macy's american express credit card record-keeping

I have had a Macy's credit card for 34 years. Now it is a Macy's American Express. In January of 2016, they stopped sending me statements. Consequently I had no idea I had a balance due on the account until I went to the store in late March to make a purchase and the card was denied. I looked at the card to see what the problem was, and discovered it had expired in September 2015, even though I made purchases in Oct., Nov., and December! I received no new card and did not even realize it had expired. Long story short, I had made purchases in December after I paid my December bill. Since I got no statements for three months, there were late charges and interest charges rolled over month after month, so I "owed" over $100 on a balance of $268. Well, I called twice, was transferred 3 times each call, and ended up with their Phillipine call center each time, repeating my story with each transfer, and hardly being able to understand them each time. So I wrote a letter and mailed it to the three PO Boxes found on my last statement. They mailed me a new card with a new account number and a credit limit of $400, which is laughable. No one responded to my letter, except to send me a letter telling me to call the customer care number, which was the same damn number I had already called twice! After 1 hour and 11 minutes on the phone, I finally had my late charges removed. Now I have to wait until the check clears that I mailed the same day for the actual balance owed of $268, to call their consumer credit department to try and get this off my credit record. (My FICO score was 870 before this, who knows what is is now.) Horrible record-keeping, horrible customer service, horrible foreign call center. But of course you have to have their credit card to get discounts. And still no explanation as to why they stopped sending statements, did not send me a new credit card when mine expired, let me charge on an expired card, did not send me my Thanks for Sharing refund. Oh and by the way, I have lived at the same address for 23 years.

Macy's macy's credit card

I did some holiday shopping during Nov/Dec 2015. I never received a paper statement. I kept waiting and waiting. Suddenly I started getting calls, telling me that my account will go to debt collection if I don't pay, end of Feb 2016. One rep said I changed my preference to paperless(which is not possible coz I am not enrolled for online billing ). Other rep said that statements were sent by regular mail . So they themselves have 2 versions going on. Finally I got letter from debt collection company. They are willing to waive off only Late fee for current month. But not past 3 months. I would like all late fees and Interest be waived off.

I had same situation, they stopped mailing my statements (paper, not signed up for electronic), consequently had balance I did not know of compounding three months worth of late charges and interest charges. Plus they let me charge on an expired card for three months and did not mail me a new one. And this is the revered American Express. Offshore call center, offshore record-keeping?

Macy's unauthorized credit card charges

On October 31st 2015 I have applied a Macy's credit card which i have never received. Now recently i checked the credit score of mine i see it dropped lot of points and hence got my credit cards from banks rejecting my applications due to low scores.I checked the details of credit scores it shows Macy's credit card amount not paid.I called the customer support they had no clue what was happening and after lot of calls which usually take lot of time with no results they said i had not paid the amount hence more than 100 percent was charged to me and when i request them to waive off them they say it not possible as it is my fault of not paying it.Crazy guys do not have simple common sense that if i do not know my account number or card number how can i pay the amount which i am not aware of.They are not even agreeing to report an error to my credit score agency that it was some miscommunication and not my fault even after paying my dues with interest.I am big fan of Macy's and do lot of shopping and always advise my friends to do so.But from henceforth i will spread a word to my friends and my company colleagues to stop buying from Macys as they are not fair guys.Guys stop buying product from Macys.

Macy's customer service and charge card charges

Macy's charges customers $2.00 even when the customer has paid off their balance. Imagine how much money someone is making off this scam! Macy's will remove the charge if a customer asks, but it is a challenge to even get customer service on the phone. I have cancelled my Macy's charge account in view of this abysmal business practice.

Macy's workplace discrimination

My wife has been an employee at Macy's City Creek Center, UT, for over one year. Over the past several months, she has come home repeatedly afraid and upset that she has been treated poorly by their receiving manager Joyce. My wife had told me of frequent occasions where Joyce would deliberately try to sabotage my wife's job by misplacing expensive merchandise and rescheduling shifts, while blaming it on her. She would also publicly demean her in front her coworkers. Joyce has been warned about this behavior several times, but she is still in charge of people.
This is normal bad manager stuff, but where it crossed the line is when my wife applied for an open position (promotion) and Joyce laughed at her, and then refused to forward the application to Human Resources. We found out about this when the operations manager of the store stated that he never received the application months later.
My wife has a Master's Degree in International Law. She has several years of retail and service management experience, and before she came to America, she negotiated trade agreements between nations, on behalf of the consulate of Italy.
I am absolutely positive that my wife is treated poorly, and differently than her peers in the receiving department of Macy's because she is brown, and has an accent.
If this problem is solved immediately, we will be contacting a lawyer, and filing a claim with the EEOC.
Thank you.

My heartfelt empathy to you and your wife. Discrimination is a part of daily life at macys, It is so difficult to sue a company like macys even with the EEOC. The burden of proof is on the employee to prove that macys discriminated BECAUSE OF your protected category. Maycs legal department will only trot out a list of employee names of those employees who have the same ethnic heritage that you have to prove how "fair" they are. The legal department likes to use the expression "numerous violations" (which they never define) to prove why you are unsuitable for the promotion.. They also like to say that no discrimination exists because they followed proper procedure, or that your job matches the job description. They will make you, the victim, responsible for their treatment that you have received. I suggest that you and your wife read several books including "The No ### Principle" and "Snakes in Suits - Psychopaths at work". The more that I learned about psychopaths I came to understand the bullying and humiliation that I received. I also understood why I was unsuccessful in getting the company to reprimand the offending managers. If you are foreign born, it may also be helpful to make sure that you are following local social norms. That may sound obvious, but I observed employees sabotage themselves by trying to impose foreign cultural expectation s at work. Examples would include - cooking odors from using seasoning such as curry in ethnic foods, ignoring the amount of privacy and personal space americans expect, demanding deference because of being older or male. I wish you good luck. Once you work for a horrible employer such as macys, whatever comes next in life will seem so much sweeter and more fulfilling.
