Lux E- Cigarette SCAM

I placed an order online on Saturday night, found out it was a scam, emailed them to cancel order that night, called on Sunday to make SURE they had gotten the email, and got a voice mail saying they are only open Mon. - Fri. for certain hours. I called as soon as they opened this morning, and (finally, ) got a real person on the phone, and told her I wanted to make sure they had cancelled the order and didn't ship it today. She said it was "...too late to cancel, because it's been more than 24 hours since I placed the order..." I told her they weren't OPEN when I placed it online, the mail doesn't run on Saturday nights or Sunday mornings, and I had called in time to cancel THIS MORNING as SOON AS THEY OPENED, so I knew it couldn't have been SHIPPED yet. She said, "...can go ahead and just charge you $108 for...and $49 for...and..." I said, "I'm telling you not to charge my card. I will refuse the package. It can't have been shipped yet." She just kept going on and on about confirming this and that instead of CANCELLING anything, so I told her I would just call my credit card company and hung up.
I had to call my credit card company, they can't do anything YET, because they only see the $4.95 charge, but it's not "posted" yet, and to "dispute" any charges, you have to already have been charged for them. :( The girl said it wouldn't be a problem to dispute ANYTHING they charged, and not to worry, but I'm still contemplating cancelling the card and getting a new number, because I've read so many bad things (AFTER doing this, ) :( about them, that I don't know WHAT they may charge, or WHEN, and I don't want them to cause me problems in the future. :(
Has anyone else had a problem (other than them being a scam, ) with getting charges reversed or with them making additional charges after the initial dispute?
It would be very annoying to have to cancel the card I've had for years and get everything I have that renews automatically set up all over again on a new one, but if there's a chance I'm going to loose more than $4.95 from this, I'll do it. :(
Thanks!

After EVERYTHING I went through this weekend to CANCEL the trial cigarettes from even being SHIPPED, and being told there was no way to do it, I was going to be charged for memberships and WHATEVER, regardless, etc., I contacted my credit card company and posted on here, and got an email shortly afterward stating that the order is being cancelled and the charges are being reversed. :)
I will believe it when I see it...and am NOT saying that they HAVE GIVEN ME A REFUND until I see that the $4.95 charge is not on my bill, and there are no OTHER charges as well...but I did tell them that I would post that I got the email from them, and if they don't follow through and charge me for something, then I'll be back and post it on here and everywhere else under the sun.
MY advice...if you want to TRY these...make sure you know what you're getting into. I wanted a BOX of cigarettes, not a lifetime commitment at $?.? that I couldn't STOP. :(
Good luck!

I sent for their starter kit. I did not want to go beyond that. I was charged $100.00 a few weeks later. Today, I find out that they charged that to my account, Also, they shipped their filters to me, without my ordering them. They said it was subscription. I never asked for a subscription.

Lux E- Cigarette Overcharged/unauthorized use of credit card

The so called "Smokeless Cigarette" was advertised as a free trial - "Only pay for shipping and handling" of $4.95
Until my bill for the next month came -Two more charges appeared on my credit card - One for $69.62 and another for $99.67! They never sent me any additional items for the "E-cigarette" such as cartridges or anything! I went back and looked on the web site and found a small box that says "click here for more information before ordering". (I never saw this box before) It states that I COULD be charged up to $88 dollars additional if I do not call and cancel the "Subscription" within 10 days! I will refuse to pay and will stop all payment from my credit card company. TOTAL RIP OFF

Well on and on it goes...2013 and they are still scamming...I bit on the offer and I did not see the terms and conditions...how convienent for them...then I found outrageous charges on my credit card so I called customer service aka foreign people speaking poor english...and explained I was mislead by their advertising and would dispute these charges with my credit card...but luckily I had not used the product yet so they agreed to take off the charges if I send it back to them and that is what I am going to do...but I will be out the postage and insurance money so I still got SCREWED...I will never bite on these types of advertising again...After reading the other posts I feel lucky to learn this lesson this cheaply...but I will be reporting them to my state Attorney General...It really is sad that they can't be stopped...I love the comment by suz56 for the pre-paid credit cards...Thanks so much for that idea...Pay back time...

I must have got lucky and caught them early, or had a muscle bank (Wood forest 2 thumbs up). When I called the company they was so plesant, actually talked to English speaking humans who asured me since i was dis-sattifyied they would re pay me half, but that was all they had the power to do! Sat on it a few days and decided no matter how pleasent they was on the phone, I didnt wantb to ripped off at all. Went to my bank Showed them the product, the package was very re-seable, the bank disbuted the charges, got a confermatin code from the post office, no charge, , in the end poof, got a call and a appoligy from luxy, and full refund (outside the $4. 95) I never disputed that part!

I am so pissed off, I can't see straight! I just now went online and accessed my credit card statement (which can only be accessed online-- no paper stmts issued) looking for a credit from another merchant on a completely different item I had returned 2 weeks ago to check and see if I had actually been credited for the return-- and by sheer coincidence, saw the charges from this rip-off electronic cigarette company, "LUX"! OMG! These people are UNBELIEVABLE! I was telling my son about it and he then suggested I let him get on the computer to check and see if this had happened to anyone else and, WA LA! All these complaints came up from hundreds of other consumers with the same complaint! I'm not normally someone who writes any 'comments' online about anything, but I am so angry ... I wanna scream (and actually, I did scream!). I also ordered this product with the understanding that $4.95 would be all I would have to pay (and I'm certain there was no "fine print" included in the advertisement because I actually printed out the complete advertisement promoting this product at the time I placed the order to make certain THIS didn't happen because I have found myself in similar situations before and don't take chances anymore). I pulled my printed copy and have read it meticulously... there is nothing about a $109.67 charge or any other charge! On 3/3/12 I placed the order. On 3/6/12 $4.95 was charged to my credit card. On 3/8/12 - I received the product. On 3/20/12 - $109.67 was charged to my card. On 4/17/12 - $39.62 was charged to my card again. Here's the funny part though! I received the product on 3/8/12 and with the product came some product information that stated their so-called guarantee and some other info about the product AND they also informed you that if for any reason you weren't completely satisfied with the product, YOU HAD 30 DAYS TO RETURN IT AND YOU WOULD NOT BE CHARGED ANYTHING! But, by 3/20/12 (only 12 days after I received product), they had already charged my card the $109.67! So, the 30 days weren't even up yet and they had already charged me for the system! What the hell happened to the 30 day risk free trial? What that tells me is that this company doesn't care if your satisfied or not. Nor, whether your going to keep it or send it back --- they're going to charge you for it ANYWAY! And that's exactly what they did! The individual from Vapor Corp talking about the link where these orders were placed and refers to the 'terms' being clearly displayed, must have seen a completely different page from the one the rest of us saw because this is not the link where I placed my order. I was surfing the web and I saw an advertisement that read "IS THE ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE HEALTHY? IS IT THE FUTURE OF SMOKING?" I stopped to read it cause I've been wanting to quit smoking for years and haven't been able to. Anyway, under this heading was an article about how "four very well known doctors, from the popular TV show "The Doctors", have also studied the electronic cigarette and was featured as one of their top 10 key health trends for 2010. "The Electronic Cigarette gives you nicotine, but it doesn't give you any of the other 4, 000 chemicals from a cigarette that can cause cancer, among other problems..." Dr. Travis Stork from "The Doctors". The article then went on saying... "While conducting this research, Ignite E-Cig, one of the most reputable electronic cigarette company, has agreed to offer our readers a limited time Electronic Cigarette Risk Free Trial Kit, along with 15 nicotine cartridges (a month's supply). While supplies last, you only pay $4.95 for shipping and handling costs with promo code "VAPOR" to see if this new breakthrough will help improve your life. As pictured below, you will receive your Ignite E-Cig Kit, along with 15 nicotine cartridges (a month's supply). We thank Ignite L-Cig for providing the chance to "try it before you buy it" and a chance for thousands of smokers to make the switch. We encourage readers who currently smoke to give E-Cigarettes a try for their health and the health of their friends and family. Make sure you order quickly, before Saturday, March 03, 2012 to be guaranteed your Risk-Free Trial Kit. We can't guarantee how long this promotion will last. Note: Risk Free Trial Valid on Saturday, March 03, 2012. LIMITED TIME OFFER FOR OUR READERS! I told you I printed out the whole advertisement! There was nothing about any 'terms' displayed anywhere! If Mr. Vapor Corp would like, I will gladly mail or fax him a copy of all the above information and the article I just quoted verbatum. The article is 3 pages long. This was one of the reasons I felt this was legit ... because supposedly, these doctors were endorsing the product in this article. Another thing, it should be clear to anyone just by looking at all the many complaints from so many consumers against this company and their 'less then ethical', underhanded practices. Submitting unathorized charges to credit cards companies for payments that they never informed anyone about. is hardly something a reputable company/business does. But I guess they already knew the consumer was never going to approve the charges for this product, so they knew this was the only way the only way they were going to get our money was to STEAL IT! If they actually had a "good" product, I for one wouldn't mind paying a couple hundred bucks ... that's a whole heck of alot cheaper than what I spend on cigarettes every month! It would have been more than worth it to me.. But the product is worthless and they know nobody's going to keep it, so they take your money before anybody has a chance to return it and then your screwed! Just like all of us here! I don't know about anyone else, but the last time I checked --- this was still America and there were still laws against this sort of thing! Come on somebody with authority ... step up to the plate and do the right thing. Today its the "nobodys" getting screwed ... but tomorrow, it'll be the "somebodys" if you just look the other way. Read the history books!

I also was ripped off by this company. I checked the fine print and it said nothing of billing my credit card an additional amount. They told me that I was being billed because I didn't respond within 14 days to cancel it. I ordered it on April 4, 2011. They are trying to say I received it on the 8th. Ok, the 8th is a Sunday and we all know that the post office does not deliver on Sunday! So I called them after I had a charge of $109.00 on my bank statement on 4/20. I told Francis employee id# 195022 that I hadn't even received it on the 4th so how would I know if I liked it or not. He went on to say that he would send me more tips and stronger ones. I kept telling him "NO". I was calling within the 14 days and I wanted the charge reversed on my account. They gave me and RA# and said they would credit my account. We will see. But from what I have read I doubt it. I don't blame Vapor Corp. They are not the ones that I did business with. But they should not supply this company with anymore product. I am reporting them to the better business Bureau and if I have to, will sue them myself in court. I live in Indiana and will travel to Miami to show up in court. I can't believe that this was on MSN website still after I see complaints from 2010. So I do hold them responsible for content on their website that is false. They may be next on my list. I saw a lawyers name above and am going to check it out now to make sure they are legit. I am going to put this out on Face-book to let my friends and relatives know and ask them to pass it on so no one else gets taken by these people. Oh, and Francis said they were located in Miami ### and suspect that he was referring to me. He called the wrong girl that. I have nothing else to do so maybe a trip to Miami will be worth it. I'm just saying...

I ordered what I thought was a promotional product with a 4.95 delivery charge. I received the order as promised and 2 weeks later I received a charge for 109.67 for which I have no idea what it's for. I tried calling lux e cig to no avail as the number is continuously busy, so I called my bank to dispute the charges and was given another number for the co. which this too is continuously busy. I was told by the bank to call the dispute/claims dept if I am unable to resolve anything with this company which I will be doing in short order. This company is a rip off and I will not be paying these additional charges. I will be signing up for any class action law suits if I am unable to resolve this on my own. m johnson-ervin

Complete FRAUD! Stay completely away from this company! $109.00 for a starter kit when I thought I was only paying for shipping to TRY a different E-cigarette. The taste is terrible so I wouldn't have purchased anyway!

Vapor Corp would only allow a company to sell our product if we saw their site they were selling through. http://ecigs4life.net/ is the site where your order was placed. If you enter some information to get to the 2nd page you will see the terms to the trial offer are clearly written in a text box directly to the left of the button clicked to submit the order. You will not need to enter your real information and you will not need to enter any card information to see the 2nd page where the terms are listed.

Vapor Corp absolutely does not support scams at all and we would not have a company sell our product unless we saw the page they were selling through. Here is the link to where you placed the order http://ecigs4life.net/. If you enter some information to get to the second page where you enter the credit card information you will see the terms clearly displayed directly next to the button that is clicked to submit the order. You do not need to enter your real information and you will not need to enter the card information to see the terms I am speaking of.
