Lowe's bad customer service

I was looking to purchase a lawn tractor, the saleman at Lowe's told me that if I opened an account I could get 10% of and no payments for 12 months. Because of this, I purchased a higher end tractor and a few hundred dollars extra in accesories for it. I was told they would have it assembled by Tuesday (I ordered it Sunday) and they would call me to let me know it's ready.
I never received a call, and when I went to the store on Friday to see if it was ready, they could not find the tractor. Eventually they did, but the rear bagger had not been installed, I agreed to do it myself.
Mistakes happen, so I was not upset. That quickly changed when I received my second credit card bill, I had an interest charge of $36.00, when I called the credit center I was told that I had to visit the store and speak with a manager. When I explained that Lowe's is a one hour trip and I would prefer to solve this on the phone, I was told there was nothing they could do. I asked that my credit card be cancelled, and instead of any effort to work with me, I was simply told "I can do that for you, sir"
When I wrote to them at [protected]@Lowes.com, things only got worse:

Dear Pablo Fernandez:

Thank you for contacting Lowe's. We apologize for your experience and would like to address your concerns.

In order to do this, we need more information. Please reply to this e-mail with your mailing address, phone number, and the store location.

Thank you,

Rachel
Lowe's Customer Care

Received On 07/22/08 09:12:55----------------------------------------

I welcomed the arrival of Lowes in Abingdon MD, and driving the extra distance from where your competitor is located was worth it.

I was looking for a new tractor, and received excellent recommendations from your representative at the store.

I was told that if I opened an account, I would receive a 10% discount and no interest on my purchase. In lieu of that, I bought a higher end tractor, and $400.00 in accesories.

I looked at my statement and saw that there was a finance charge of 36.78. I called the credit card number, only to be told that I would have to go to the store and speak with a manager (?) I told the rep that it is a long trip to the store and I did not want to do that. She stated that there was nothing she could do.

I told her that if I am going to pay 22% interest, I would not be willing to use the card anymore. I asked that the card be cancelled, and the only response was "I can do that for you sir"

I felt that there was abs
olutely no concern for my frustration, no willingness to resolve the issue. I certainly thought I would be valued as a customer, and that an effort could be made, but I guess I was wrong.

I am going to transfer the unpaid balance to another credit card, and I will have to consider if I am going to patronize your establishment in the future.

Thank you for your attention.

Pablo XXXXXXX

Phone XXX XXX XXXX

My e-mail stated my phone number as well as the location, apparently they rushed trough my letter and did not really read it.

I answered them with the information I asked, but did not hear anything for 3 weeks. I wrote to them again, they answered that I had not given them the information (?)

I just wrote again, let's see what they do with it...

Boy, this just gets better and better...

I DID reply with the information requested; see the e-mail below, dated July 25th. Not to mention the fact that you asked for the location of the store even though you already had the information (my first e-mail stated "I welcomed the arrival of Lowes in Abingdon MD") and it also contained a phone number. Did you read my e-mail or just rushed to get to the next complain?
So here we are, what now? I certainly would like to be refunded all the interest you charged me, after I was offered a "no interest" period.

You have all the information you asked for, let's see if [protected]@Lowes.com can live up to the name.

Thank you

Update:

Lesson learned: don't deal with the "on-line" people, they are incompetent at WeCare@Lowes.com
Once the information reached the right person at the store, things were quickly resolved.
Sherry called me right away, and went out of her way to correct the situation, what a great asset to that store, she managed to win me back as a customer.

Had lowes in Christiansburg Va. install 10 new windows for several thousand dollars. I am not satisfied because the outside of the window sets about 2 inches away from the vynil siding all the way around. there is only about 1 inch of foam insulation to the inside . edge of the windows. several complaints were made to lowes with empty promises. Finally saw the store manage and was talked down to. Its been almost 4 weeks since talking to him with no contact. apparently I am suspose to eat the cost of the windows. When I told the manager I was trying to head off furthur action I was told I could not sue that I had to go to corporate hq and arbritration, and that I didnt want that as I couldnt win. Oh yes Lowe's is almost as bad as some major mobile carriers when it comes to online help. As soon as you said you got a credit card to save 10%, I knew where it was going. They guy in the seasonal dept was well trained by the sound of it but had no compassion for your finances. I would have sold you the tractor you wanted in the first place but gone for the Extended Protection Plan, which is an ok deal if you don't want to pay to have it fixed but hurts the wallet a little. As for you STRETCH about checking the toolboxes I'd have to say that the thieves in Lowe's are more of an epidemic than panhandlers at a D.C. bus station. One time I stood at the return desk and watched a guy carry 2 boxed celing fans ($200 each) right out the NO EXIT door (main entrance). He set the alarm off and ignored the "sir, SIR" coming from the girl at the desk. His buddy was out front waiting with the pick-up truck, in which he threw the fans and they drove off. This doesn't happen often as it is an extreme case, but lots of people will set off the alarm and aren't even phased by it. This unfortunate "a few ruin it for the bunch" situation requires Lowe's to attempt to lower the theft by inspecting everything you buy. The other solution is to close the stores and make everything exclusive to Lowe's dot com, which I don't think will happen any time soon, but they're trying :p

I shop at Lowes quite abit, I think it is absurd how when you go to purchase 2 tool boxes they want to completely rummage thru them at checkout, treating you like you are a THIEF. If there is that much mistrust in Lowes repeat customers then maybe they should put nylon ties on the tool boxes! Also maybe a sign posted in the customers view that they may treat you as a THIEF at checkout...Sincerley STRETCH

Lowe's employee smelled of drugs

I recently went into the Lowe's Home Improvement Store in Southport North Carolina where I live. I went to look at the birdhouses in the seasonal dept. I asked an employee there for help and saw on his nametag his name was Patrick. He seemed a little dazed as I was asking him questions and I smelled the distinct smell of marijuana on him.

Lowe's needs to better drug test their employees. As a result, this store will no longer have my business. I was very disgusted at this episode.

Lowe's just totally upset

Not too long ago I purchased a refrigerator from the lowes in rock hill, sc, and when they FINALLY delivered it, (in which they were days late from the delivery day they promised us) when they came to my home brought it in, unpackaged it, and they were moving it, they ripped up my floor in my kitchen, and whoops is all they could say, called the store and told them I would be out there to pick up a kit to fix it. What the heck, they should have been more careful, and expecting me to come out there and pick up some kit that was wrong, I did it, but now I am an ex-customer of any Lowes, especially rock hill.

I purchased a $159 Extended Protection Plan for my Whirlpool Washer. The paint is peeling off. A Lowe's service technician and a customer representative from Lowe's Service Advantage said it was misapplication by the manufacturer. However, Lowe's is breaking their legal contract with myself and calling is "cosmetic damage" (please reference Lowe's EPP contract). WARNING! Do not purchase an Extended Protection Plan from Lowe's! Purchase one directly from the manufacturer. I wanted to file a small claim against Lowe's; however, the filing costs were over $100.

I was promised delivery of a ''fridge this morning. When I called at 11.20 a.m. to make sure the delivery team were on their way I was told that they had not left yet but "were working on it".
There are other things people have to do other than waiting for a delivery to show up.

I can't work outside because they have my land line number and insist on calling up before they deliver. I had ask for a ballpark delivery time when ordering the goods but they wouldn't be tied down; if they had even told me when deliveries begin (since this is apparently not very soon in the day) I could have done the other things I needed to do first.

Now it looks as though I might not get anything else at all done today - and I'm wondering if they will show up at all.

All they have to do is bring in our 'fridge and plug it in, maybe they will balance the legs. I have already emptied my old fridge and there are food items and one medication that need to stay refrigerated. I've moved the old fridge outside single-handedly to save them (and me) time. They just need to show up!

I've deliberately waited until 12 Noon before submitting this complaint, as their promise was, after all restricted to delivering "in the morning". Now it is Noon and they are officially in default of their promise.

Despite the hassle I believe I will be making my own deliveries. They have only to come less than six miles and charge $55 to even drop anything off!

She is nick name the Princess by most of the employee's at Lowe's. The Lowe's store manager allows it to happen, because his is an idiot! She came in as a seasonal employee. She was too lazy to pick up an insert that had fallen onto the floor, so she stepped on it and shoved it under a skid. Now she has head cashier rights no thanks to the big idiot store manager. We are suppose to clock in with our vest or apron on, but no in her case. She clocks in with no vest or apron on, because she is the princess. When she is late she will decline the punch in an make some excuse why she was not able to punch in on time. She is power hungry and treat some employee like ### in front of customers. Customers are in disbelief. She is impatient, rude, lazy and dishonest, but the big idiot store manager will keep her! She love to sit in customer service and do nothing. She will walk around the store and do nothing when she is acting head cashier. Basic getting paid from Lowe's for doing nothing! Lowe's really know how to waste money on this employee, no thanks to the store manager! There is this fact that she will steal the head cashier keys when she can get the chance to do so. That way she can just stand there and look pretty and now she has the power, because she has the keys. But Lowe's will keep this employee, The Princess!

I just found out that a Seasonal-Student is paid a lot more than the Part -Timers. The Seasonal-Student started in 2017, less than 2 years ago. That person is being paid $10.60 an hour. I work all year round and have been with Lowe's for 6 years. I'm still getting paid under $10 an hour. It's almost a dollar more than I get paid. I'm struggling to see how to pay my mortgage and utilities! What's wrong with this picture! What is Lowe's thinking. Lowe's steal hours from the Part-Timers and cut them down to 10 hour per week and gives them to the Seasonal-Students. Seasonal-Students even are given more than 10 hours a week. They will not be living out on the streets, like I will be very soon. They still have a home to go back to! Not happy at all concerning this matter. Lowe's treat their loyal Part-Timers like dirt or ###! Lowe's treat the Seasonal-Students like gold! : ( Lowe's need to pay your Part-Timers more! A lot of Part-Timer are very upset of the whole situation!

May 2017 floors were installed in my home by Lowe's located in Newburgh, NY. During installation by contractor's they broke a pipe in the bathroom. The pipe was incorrectly fixed which caused cracking in the Marble floors that were installed. Lowe's was contacted by myself in December 17, 2017. On 1/12/08 Contractor Danny came to my residence and removed several tiles from the bathroom. On 1/21/08 Uptown Contracting Company was scheduled to come to my home to repair the broken pipe. This company never showed. On 1/23/08 a complaint was filed by myself. I called Lowe's Corporate Office on 1/23/08 and spoke with Ruth she administered complaint # [protected]. Approx. two weeks later the pipe was fixed On 2/4/08 Contractor Danny put cement on the floors and stated he would return in 48 hours to tile the floors. He never returned. To date we have no floors and Lowe's did not return our money.

When attempting to check out at the Lowes Store located at W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN, only one cashier line was open. Several customers were waiting to be helped. The man in front of me asked a store employee if she was opening another line and she said "yes." We went to the line she indicated and she began to wait on this man and then told me that I had to go to the cashier next to her who had just opened up. I had to go to the back of the line. When it was my turn to be served, the cashier simply walked away leaving me standing there. The cashier who had told me to move to that line was waiting on customers who had been behind me. I put down the items I planned to purchase and stated "I guess I am leaving." People behind me said the same thing. I have spent close to $25, 000 at Lowes over the past couple of years. I had just finished working a 14 hour shift and wasted an hour in the store. They have lost a good customer through their employees' rudeness.

Head Cashiers has no concerns about their Loaders getting Heat Stroke. They (Lowe's, Managers, Human Resources, or Head Cashiers) do not give Loaders enough time or frequency to allow them to get their core temperature down or allow them to drink enough water to get rehydrated. Lowe's makes this great speech about "Safety" and how important it is. Concerning this matter they lie, lie, and lie. They prefer a person to pass out and still will not admit to it, because they have idiots in charge of their stores. Lowe's apparently do not care about their hard working employees getting Heat Stroke and Collapse! Come on people wake up and think of what you are doing! We are talking about 90 degree temperatures and a heat index of 100%. How Stupid can you be!

I ordered 9 pieces of sheet rock and 1 piece of plywood (which took over 45 minutes they were short handed on a sunday as usual. Delivery was $49.00 ( I found this out after waiting over 25 minutes for someone at the pro desk who never did answer) and I was willing to pay it even though it was $45.00 less for the same delivery and materials at McCoys because I was told they would bring the materials in my house and being a woman I couldn't handle carrying all of it by myself. The morning of the delivery no delivery. It wasn't until the afternoon he finally called and said he was going to drop it in the driveway. I said I paid to have it delivered inside and he said he was only 1 person and it would be an additional $2.00 a sheet and I would have to wait for anther delivery day until they had 2 guys. After speaking to the store manager the only thing she was willing to do was refund my money and credit me back. If you're looking for customer service don't shop at Lowes in Killeen or either in Temple (their delivery charge was $69.00). Go to a real lumber yard. I learned my lesson.

I have a problem with this lowe's on west colonial. They are not professional people, I must admit there are a couple there but not many. You can never get any help on the sales floor. The management sucks after there was no help in the department i was in I went to the front to get someone to help me. The young lady got me an manager and she was not any help at all she had no knowledge and seemed to be very confrused. Again this was a manager she was very breif and short with helping me which really didn't help at all. But as I left out the door I looked around and saw alot of red vest satnding around the front door talking and laughing with the manager. There were two cashiers working with lines long. But we had about 5-6 people at the door talking. This is why I hate coming in lowe's poor customer service. I must say out of the whole lowe's store there are two young ladies that always stand out with great customer service is Taniesha and Sara. When they are not there I don't like going there. Two of lowe's best assets, very nice ladies wish everyone was like them.

The overnight manager at lowes "kim mynok" is the cruelest pettiest individual who has ever been in a supervisor position at this company. she picks on her overnight crew if she does not like them and lies to upper management about their work performance in order to get them fired. she is verbally abusive to everyone and especially picks on a disabled employee named steve kondus. steve kondus suffered a stroke a few years back and works hard to provide for his ederly mother! everyone works hard overnight's with the exception of kim mynok and her assistant mike trata. these two so called supervisor's sit in the back room the entire shift and put 99% of the work load on everybody else!

As I have already mentioned kim mynok is verbally abusive and holds unprofessional grudges against people she does not like. she does everything she can including moving freight in to the wrong bays to make the people she does not like look bad. this has caused people to get into trouble and lose their job!

Mike trata, her assistant does exactly what she say’s including the harassment of employee's she does not like. he does this so that she will give him a good review and a raise, not because its justified!
Let me restate that it has nothing to do with work performance.

All of the night crew associate's work hard with the exception of kim mynok and mike trata.
The most important thing I am trying to get accross is that kim mynok is abusive and unprofessional to her subordinates and deserves to be fired along with mike trata post haste!

Going to upper management does not help because they listen to kim mynok and mike trata not the associate!

Lowe's installment estimate

I went to Lowe's for an estimate to on deck work on May 3, 2008. I paid $35 for an estimate. On May 10, the sub contractor contacted by Lowe's came to look at the deck and take measurements. At the end of the visit he indicated he would fax in the estimate to Lowe's on Monday the 12th and I should hear from them soon after that. Well, I really didn't expect that I would hear from Lowe's on the 12th. However, I did expect the hear from them soon afterword, but did not. On Friday, May 23rd, I called Lowe's to find out where my estimate was. I was told that the sub-contractor had not turned in his estimates or supply needs. The woman I spoke said she would fax the subcontracor to find out what was happening and someone would call me on Tuesday. Well Tuesday came and went without any response.

On June 1st, I emailed Lowe's stating if I was not going to get an estimate I wanted a refund. Again, Lowe's did not respond. On June 12th, I called Lowe's and again was told that the subcontractor was the hold up. I said I wanted a refund if I was not going to get an estimate. Within 10 minutes, I got a call back saying my estimate was ready.

So the next day I went to Lowe's. I told the person that I was unhappy with the service and was questioning if I should go with Lowe's and their subcontractor based on the fact I had been told twice that the subcontractor had not done the estimate on a timely basis. Well, this guy who is supposed to be the manager, says he and the sub contractor had been working on the estimate for over a month and whoever told me that sub contractor wasn't responding didn't read the notes in the computer. What?

Next I said I wanted to take the estimate home to think it over. The Manager said he had to ask someone else if he could give me the estimate to take home. WHAT?! I finally he gave me the estimate.

The next day I found out why he didn't want to give me the paperwork. It was dated May 25th and expires on 6/24.

I work for a company that sells to retail store. If anyone ever gave this type of customer service, they would be fired.

I have once again emailed Lowe's corporate headquarters about their lack of customer service. Not that I expect them to respond.

Update:

I got an email on 6/20 from Lowe's corp. It stated someone from the store would contact me within 48 hours. The next day there were 2 messages on my answering machine. The first was from the store manager and the second was from the department manager (the guy who had lied straight to my face). I called the store and asked for Dan the store manager. I was told he had left for the day. I called the following day, 2 days later and 3 days later. Each time I was told the manager had left. Then today 6/25, I got a call from Amanda at Lowe's asking me if I was going to except the estimate. I explained to her how unhappy I was with the service. She told me that Lowe's had called me numerous times about the estimate. I was livid. I told her 3 calls prompt my either my calls or email I do not consider numerous. She also stated that Lowe's had fired the sub contractor because of numerous problems. Well, if that were the case wouldn't she have start with that information first. Anyway's I was able to get my full refund tonight. They first offered me a refund in the form of a gift card, but I explained since I would never shop there again I wanted cash and that is what I got.

Lowe's they're charging deposit but won't return it

Lowes is charging for water bottles $13.99, if you return a bottle it is $6.99.I got rid of my water cooler and brought my empty bottles back and was told that they are worth nothing. They said it is not a deposit but a promotion. I paid $7.00 for those bottles and I don't care what they call it they need to return my money or give me store credit. I call it stealing.

Then to and insult to injury the customer service representative said I did not know what I was talking about because he owned a package store for many years and there is no deposits on water in Ct. My family also had owned a package store for years and if we charged a fee for a bottle we would have to return it.

Lowe's lack of customer service

For some reason, it is next to impossible to get anyone to answer the phone at this Lowe's location in Brooklyn. I wanted to order an expensive appliance from them and just called to see if it was in stock. For several days, I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone in the appliance department or the manager’s office. I'm glad I took my business elsewhere because God forbid I ordered it and needed to call someone there for a problem. This location is sorely lacking in customer service - try another or better yet, Home Depot or PC Richard.

I totally agree about the lack of customer service! I saw a few girls too busy talking instead of helping me and other customers check out. One was standing in customer service talking and laughing and another one was standing near a door talking and laughing to a guy with a blue thing on. I will never return to this store again!

Lowe's lowes color matching system

I bought some tester paints from a branch of lowes using one of their color chips and took the paints home and liked them, so we bought 2 one gallon cans of the paints from another lowes store. we took those home and found they did not even remotely match the testers, even though the same color chip was used. I took them back and the customer services manager was incredibly rude. They kept sending us back and forth between the paint dept and customer services. They admitted that the ads shown on tv and on hgvt.com about lowes color matching system is a lie. they also told me that they could not match the paint chip i wanted even though it was from their store. their machines vary from store to store and are calibrated differently. After alot of argument, they finally gave us a refund and then said we had to buy more paint with the refund. I walked out, vowing never to buy paint there again. The paint dept said they get frustrated because customers are mislead by the ads and they cannot color match items brought in. Isn't it illegal to mislead people like this? The ads should all be pulled.

Yes, agreed that Lowe's Valspar paint does not match their in-store color chart. Its usually two shades lighter which can be very frustrating. Its best to paint it on a same piece of wood in the store and take it home to color match, etc. I too had to go through this painful process.

Lowe's incompetence

Incompetence... Geezz I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed the absolute ignorance of Lowe’s employees. Train these people already! I have a number of experiences with these idiots and have finally come to the point of saying no more. From the person who attempts to help you on any aisle, to the customer service centre. Just go somewhere else to submit your hard earned dollar... Or wait... and wait... and wait for either an answer to a question or, God forbid, you buy an appliance of some sort and want it loaded or...delivered, or just simply the right one brought from the back. Save yourselves alotta trouble and just buy somewhere else...

Probably [censor] store out in the boonies that no one else wants to do either but needs to be covered. Other installers probably agreed reluctantly to take store, now it wouldn't be fair for them to take the [censor] store and you get whatever you want. Double edge sword either way...or maybe the AIM's just a power hungry dick..who knows

So you know everything about everything? The store manager only needs to know how to manage people. Do you know how to hook up a 4 prong dryer cord? without looking at a book. can a range cord be interchanged with a dryer cord? I bet if someone ask you, you would have to ask someone else. Go to home depot or Menards They must have smarter people there.

Incompetence on the store manager! He is a complete idiot! He can not answer a question I had. He had to call another person over to help me with my question. He is not very informed for a store manager. As a store manager you should know every aspest of all your departments. All he knows how to do is talk like a used car saleman. They irritate me to no end! I will spread to word to my friends to never come back !

I work in retail and I'm sooooo sick of people complaining about stuff like this. People are so self-centered they think that they are the only people in the store...very annoyed maybe you should stay out of ALL retail stores.

Lowe's their delivery is the worst

When buying a frig Lowe's promised to hook-up the new ice maker to the existing line. It also clearly states on their website that they provide this service ( www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=pg&p=ApplianceAdvantage ). The delivery was late, the delivery person had a bad attitude when he walked into my home. He had to use my husband's tools, he never turned the frig on, didn't take out the packaging inside, or a number of other things they were supposed to do. When I told him he was supposed to hook-up the ice maker, he said he doesn't do that. I told him I would not sign the receipt until he hooked up the ice maker. He then started taking the frig out of my home. I told him I would sign the receipt and complain about him to his company, so he left the frig sitting in the middle of my kitchen floor, unhooked and my old frig in my drive and left. I will NEVER buy anything from Lowes ever again.

They are supposed to take out the packaging from the inside? I don't blame him for leaving it in the middle of your floor if you were telling him how to do his job and telling him what he was "supposed to do" Sounds like you were the one with the bad attitude. Lowes does not promise a time on deliveries. Just a day. I bet that you had probably called the store asking about the delivery and complaining before he even got there.

Lowe's Employment ethics

One day I had applied to Lowe's via their online application process. Two weeks later I was contacted by a woman informing me that they were hiring temporary cashiers for the summer at their Newington, Connecticut location. It was at this time that I had set up an interview with a person at the store. It is from this point on where everything goes horribly wrong.

First off, I live 10 miles from this particular store, and this comes into play later. On a Thursday morning, I arrive for my appointment at Lowe's. I go in and up to the front desk and announce my arrival for my appointment.

From this point I am told to go to the back of the store to a room used for interviews and training and such. It is here that I meet with a woman only to have her tell me that my interviewer was out due to her kid being sick and not able to go to school. I gave the woman my resume and she proceeded to sit me at a computer for 10 minutes or so. It was at this computer where I had to take some sort of an analysis test (IE: "what would you do in such and such a situation" and have to pick from 4 answers).

After finishing this test I told the woman I had completed the test and she said that the woman who was originally scheduled to interview me would call me soon to reschedule the interview. I didn't think anything of it and left.

Anyway, it turns out the woman never called me back and a week later sent me a typical generic rejection letter. I had wasted my time and liquid gold (Gas) driving to and from there only to be lied to right to my face. I don't have money to waste on this type of crap.

This wasn't the first time Lowe's screwed me over. I had interviewed TWICE at the Meriden, Connecticut store (before it's grand opening) only to again be lied to straight to my face with this "we'll call you in a few days" nonsense.

If this is how Lowe's treats it's applicants, I'd hate to see how their employees are treated. I feel that this isn't a company with good ethics.

Be aware if you interview with this place. It could be the biggest waste of your time ever.

It is common practice to have an interviewer say "we'll call you." Usually they say contact though. To complain about them not hiring you is rather sad. You didn't pass the test, and they didn't hire you. Move on.

I have worked for a Lowe's before, and the only problem that I see with this is that the applicant obviously failed the tests that were administered. It does not matter if you are the best interviewer in the world. If you do not pass the tests then they absolutely can not hire you.

I had a similar situation with a man that worked at another retail location, where he was a vendor and I was a manager. He was the best worker that I had every seen. He was self-motivated, intelligent, and never late. However, when I tried to recruit him to work for the store, he failed the entrance tests. It was very unfortunate, but we lost a great associate to the wheels of the hiring process. That is the way of retail.

Lowe's don't work for them

Lowe's Wheelersburg Ohio - I am a former employee of this Lowe's. Working for them was a complete and total nightmare! No training, no pay, no one can afford the health insurance and most of all the HR department ***! I simply requested a copy of my pay stubs for some legal stuff and no one there will help you and then they decide to lecture me on why I quit! Welcome to America A_HOLE. I have the right to quit any job I want. This store *** and I would not recommend anyone work for this company unless you want to be under paid, over worked, and left to fend for yourself while there!

I too have been fired from Lowe's using that same excuse. However, when I read information in my orientation booklet, it states that: "If you are absent three(3) consecutive days or more than five (5) days total in a twelve (12) month period you are requiered to provide Lowe's with a doctor's statement/written documentation for future absences." This reads, to me, that absences more than 5 in a 12 month period are tolerable, as long as you have written documentation from a doctor. I had not be absent MORE than 5 days.

Lowe's that store has lost my business forever

What is wrong with the employees (or lack there of) in this Lowes of rock hill. going in there used to be a good thing, there were helpful people who would wait on you, and treat you right, now going in there, not only can you NOT find anyone who works there, finding someone who KNOWS anything about anything is impossible. When I used to own my own business back in the 70's, the customer always came first, and that should hold up on this day and age, but not at rock hill Lowes, that store has lost my business forever, Home Depot will get it.

Lowe's dirty and inefficient help

When new stores open everyone is so helpful and clean but it never lasts. Those dirty rumpled red vests they wear in lowes are disgusting. I know the people working in lumber and such have a reason to be dirty but the rest are awful. Also when you are looking for an someone to help. As soon as someone sees you, they duck down another aisle and disappear as fast as they can.

The Lowes credit service is using deceptive practices! Im contacting the better business bureau regarding the fact that they negate to give you a monthly summery on all your purchases . By doing that it leaves the consumer in the dark about what they purchased and also an account of the dollar amounts . By grouping the non interest account with the regular purchase amounts you cant figure out what your individual balances are. Every other credit card company gives you a monthly purchase account. Your unable to screen if your cards been tampered with if you cant see the activity. They are scamming many elderly people and women. Woman are the largest consumer group using Lowes. They need to be accountable to these practices! Please join to sue the company! nataliakorrr@hotmail.com

Lowe's scam and fraud

A few months ago I purchased about 400SF of laminated flooring from Lowe's. I also had Lowe's install the flooring with a sub contractor. I purchased all the materials from Lowe's including concrete to level the floor. The total installation took about 4 hours. After completion, my wife noticed a bubble in the flooring. The installer told her it would settle. About 30 days later the floor started to chip and the bubble was worse., I called Lowe's and they had the contractor come look at the floor. The contractor told Lowes that we spilled a liquid on the floor and that he would have to remove about 200 sq feet.

I called Lowes and was told the warranty was void as I had spilled something... I decided to check the level of concrete used. Guess What, The concrete was unopened. ZERO used. I called Lowes again and told them the bubble was caused by an unlevel floor. He told me that maybe the laminated floor was defective and the Manufacture Rep would be out the next day. Guess What, Manufacture Rep never showed. Today I had another laminate floor installer inspect the work by Lowe's. He said it was unfortunate that the floor was not prepared properly and agreed the uneven floor caused the problem.

My new contractor levels the floor and grinds to even out bubbles. He then levels with concrete. Lowe's does not seem to care about my situation.

Lowe's no service

We bought a washer from Lowes in late Dec 2007. About 3 months ago all of my wash (clothes) were getting twisted and wrinkled in all cycles. Service from A&E came out and said it was the timer and or transmission. No parts on the truck, one part was delivered one week later by UPS. Then you have to call A&E back out and schedule the second trip out. Two weeks later, the serviceman arrives, says the first man mis diagnosed the trouble, stating there is nothing wrong. We explained about the tangles, twisted, intertwined clothes inside the washer, he got mad, through his tools in his bag, said "you pissed me of" and walked out of our garage. We called A& E and Lowes, and they say too bad- there is nothing wrong with the Whirlpool washer. My clothes are ruined. They are being beaten to death in the wash cycles.

Lowes agreed with A & E that there is nothing wrong with the Whirlpool washer. So we are out in the cold!

Lowe's Unfriendly, unhelpful staff

Once again, I walk into Lowe's, and there is a collective angst against customers. You see Lowe's workers standing around, walking around, but they won't look you in the eye, and they even walk quickly away when you walk toward them. I had to chase rude employee #3 down, and yell at him to get his attention. Then I was lead to a general area where the product was, and still had to spend a few minutes looking for what I needed. Most of the time, they sort of generally point you in the general direction, then tell you they don't know much about what you are looking for, and duck away somewhere in the back. I don't know where they get their training, but if they want to compete against giants like Home Depot, they need to learn that being there for customer needs, knowing where things are, and actually having knowledge about their product goes a long way.

I am an employee of Lowe's and I feel every store is different. My store is very helpful with customers and I help as much as possible even though my job is product relative and not customer relative. My store gets lots of positive feed back. Just because you have had a bad experiance at that store doesn't mean every store is like that.

Lowe's bad salesman

We went into the Hillsborough NJ Lowes to buy a John Deere tractor.

Their salesman was the worst that we ever encountered.

He couldn't, or wouldn't, answer our questions. I asked him the same question 3 times. Instead of answering my question, he rambled on about their warranty (when I was asking what a repair service charge would be w/o a warranty.) These tractors cost $2, 000 and forget about getting your questions answered.

Another customer asked our salesman whether he could buy a new tractor instead of one off the floor. Unfortunately, our salesman couldn't answer that question either.

We all left without purchasing anything.

We purchased high end carpeting from Lowes on August 2nd, 2017. The first time it was delivered, it could not be installed because of a delamination issue on the back. The second time it was delivered and installed. We realized there was two different shades of carpeting on one piece. We were very upset and demanded something be done. Another shipment just arrived this past Saturday, September 22nd. We did not have it installed because it had the same problem. The carpet company is Royalty Mills. I have not received any satisfaction from Lowes or the carpet company on this issue. We are ready to seek legal advice.

I have lived a nightmare. It all started when my original contractor made a mistake with my shower stall. He installed the shower base and last, he "tried" to install the shower doors, they were too big.

I lost $400 (could not return the stall, as the base was already installed) so I proceeded to order custom made doors at Lowes (cost $850). Lowes told me I should get them in 2 weeks, never happened.

When they finally called me after numerous follow up calls, and 21 days later, it took 7 days to schedule with the installer.

When the installer arrived with the doors, he discovered the hardware was missing, so he left. I was furious, I called Lowes which they sent someone to hand deliver the missing hardware but the installer was long gone.

When I called the installer myself, he told me he could not come back until the following week...? The doors are in the bathroom along with the hardware, yet the installer proceeded to put me at the bottom of his list. After begging him to do sooner, he agreed to come back in 2 days. Never happened. Never returned my calls, has not returned Lowes managers calls...now Lowes tells me they will do the best they can with another installer, but can't guarantee me the exact day. I'm at their mercy.

I called their 1-800 number to complain and guess what? They transferred me back to the store.

This shower stall has costs me over $1000, and over a month later, I still don't have any doors...I am sick to my stomach with this as I have out of town visitors coming in 2 days, I will never shop at Lowes again or recommend to anyone.

If they promise you anything, please ask them to put it in writing and sign it.

I was in this store buying a whole new kitchen. Cabinets, counter tops, sink, and all the things you need for a brand new kitchen. Well some of the cabinets were at the top of the shelves and needed the forklift to get them. The employee in the kitchen dept knew this but just walked away. The forklift was right in the kitchen cabinet dept and let us wait for than 30 minutes while he was putting in light bulbs in the lights in that dept. Finally the employee walked over to us and I asked her what was more important the light bulbs or me the customer buying all new cabinets. Well finally the guy came over there after another 10 minute wait. I can't believe that your employee's are so uncaring to their customers. This store is right around the corner from my home and always want to do business there but it seems the help or non help you get in that store is getting worst. You are looking for something and ask an employee and the only response you get quote" thats not my dept and walks away". Unbelievable the way that store is run.

Then I called the manager this morning to talk to him about this and the girl was very rude and told he he wasn't there and didn't know when he would be there. I asked for his name and that was not given to me without asking over and over. What is wrong with this store. I have just bought all new stove, ref, and dishwasher about 8 months ago plus now a whole new kitchen and get this type of treatment. Not acceptable to me at all. I'm not sure if this email will help but something has to be done in this store. I was told by one of the employee's awhile ago that this manager David is only out for profit not the customer. That was rewarding to hear. So please take this complaint serious because I won't go to Home Depot but they are looking better every time I go into the Mt Dora Lowes.

Thank you.

Lowe's Home Improvement has failed me repeatedly—five times to be exact That's how often I sat in my house looking for their delivery truck to unload a refrigerator and a stove so that my contractor could start on my kitchen.

Five times they failed to show—three times I had to take off work.

The problem, in my opinion, is incompetence and an outdated tracking system. When I tried to contact the managers-in-charge (as I was directed to), the kicker is they don't have voice mail, nor do they have direct line.

Lowe's Corporate seems to allow accountability to slip because no one person is effectively able to track an order and no one person is able to be reached easily. My order (after one month of waiting) was passed from person to person.

Never deal with Lowe's. It cost me over $1, 000 in lost times and contractor fees.

We have spent about 800+ dollars in the last 2 weeks redoing our bathroom. We bought a full tub shower walls unit. Before we even got home we thought it might be too big to get through the doors. So when we got home we measured and waaalaaa it was too big. We took it back right away. Then the guys that were unloading it were rude saying it was cracked on the top... which then we would have had to bring it back anyways... i am going some where else to finish the bathroom and hope i never have to return to that store.
