I was scammed earlier this week and found this complaints board just now, when I google-searched the company number I was given. It is obviously a fake recruitment company. Thanks for sharing your experience! I am considering to take action involving the Police (https://www.cityoflondon.police.uk/advice-and-support/fraud-and-economic-crime/Pages/default.aspx).

This also happened to me today, as i put the down the phone i regret so much paying the deposit. I called my bank not long after doing some research and found this iste. Think about it they never gave you the infomation about the company that is recuiting the job... all they are asking you is to complete the course and pay the deposit.

Thank you for posting this Roxana. The same thing happened to me today. I applied for the job of Occupational Therapy Assistant on the 8th of August and got call today (11th of Aug) from Mohammed, calling from London Recruitment Service about the position. We had an informal interview, and he decided I would be a suitable candidate for the job. However, before I go for the interview, he told me I would need to have cpr and patient manual handling training certificate which costs £199 and to secure a place on the course I would need to put down a £50 deposit. I stupidly gave him my banking details for the £50 deposit. As soon as I put the phone down I immediately regretted what I had done. I found online you could do those courses for much cheaper, and then i began to realise a lot of other holes in their job offer. Such as why would I need to have those certificates before I got the actual job, and why didn't they specify the hospital you would be working in. It all smelt a bit fishy! Underneath is a copy of an email they sent me exactly the same as Roxana's. Just please don't fall for it guys, as they failed to tell me the deposit is non-refundable!
