BEWARE! Do NOT Do BUSINESS with LONDON FOG CHIMNEY SWEEPS in LIVONIA and its owner BRIAN MILLER FROM ANN ARBOR is my strong suggestion! I called Brian Miller, the owner of London Fog Chimney Sweeps to go to one of my rental properties to conduct a clean out and chimney report for the city. He told me it would cost $110.00. Instead of waiting until the job was completed (as I should have), I mailed him a check that day for the work yet to be done. The problem is Brian the owner of London Fog Chimney Sweeps would never call the tenant to schedule the appointment to do the work. I constantly had to call him and play nice trying to get him to call the tenant, as he already had my money. He always had some excuse as to why he had not called her yet to set the appointment. Finally after 6 different calls, I persuaded him to take a time out and schedule the darn appointment. He told me also that he had not yet received my check. I knew that was not true. I called my bank to verify if the check was cashed and YES it was cashed by him! I called Brian back and told him it was cashed and he acted all dumb. On the day of the appointment he was asked by the tenant to call her before he showed up, so she would have a heads up. He did not. He just showed up, and the tenant was not there yet. Instead of calling the tenant or calling me, Brian just left instead. That’s assuming he even went there to begin with. Next thing I know the tenant called Brian and Brian degraded her and yelled at her over the phone. Not how you handle a women or a customer! My tenant called me almost in tears as to how she was just spoken with. I called Brian on 3-way phone call with her and when he answered, he was very rude and said “get her ### off the phone, hang up on her, I don’t want to hear her crap anymore!” I COULD NOT BELIEVE he spoke this way to my tenant, a women and customer this way!TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE! I called Brain later that day and told him I just wanted a refund of the $110.00. He refused to refund the money. He said he would schedule for whenever he could come back. I told him that was not going to happen. The tenant no longer wanted him back in her house. Neither did I. I don’t trust him now anyway. He refused to give my $110.00 back. Through text messages he just continued to write that he was not wrong and she was, and he will schedule the job and not give the money back. He failed to understand that once you verbally abuse a women/customer, you cannot expect them to let you in their home. I told him it was not going to happen and if he did not give me my money back for the job that he did not do, I would sue him. He did not care; he taunted me to do so. Finally after going back and forth, he offered to keep $25.00 of my money and give back the rest. I said no to the sleaze bag and said you’re not going to get away with stealing 1 penny of mine. I told him if I have to sue him I will, over $110.00. I told him I would contact the BBB, attorney general, news…..Brian than text back and said: “By the way, my best friend’s brother is a prosecutor in of all places Westland! Do you really think I care about the lame BBB?” Than Brian Miller sent me an email that read this: “Since u declined to have us do your work, we enjoyed a very nice expensive dinner on your sorry ###. FYI, the authorities have been notified about your harassment. Keep it up f_ck head!” Can you imagine doing business with a man that represents a company speaking like this to the public? He obviously has issues and I would caution everyone, especially women to be very careful speaking with this man! Regardless if I am successful in collecting the $125.00 this company has flat out stolen from me, I would caution anyone that reads this NOT to do business with London Fog Chimney Sweeps and tell all their loved ones that may be in the market for these type of services to beware of Brian and his scam of a company! I have attached screen shots of his texts and mine. You can see he just continues to point the finger and say he is willing to do the work now, knowing she will not allow him in her home, so this is his way to try to “look right” while he is stabbing me in the back by stealing my money! Let's be honest, what women would let him back in her home? Not an option after he yelled at her and almost brought the poor lady to tears. Brian Miller tries to live on his name from yesterday, but today he is just a bully towards this women and a thief by stealing flat out stealing $110! How do you not return the $110 when you did nothing! You can't justify it! Also, if you do have Brian Miller out to your home, he will have his dog running all through your home without asking. Do NOT do business with LONDON FOG CHIMNEY SWEEPS is my strong suggestion. The have been in business for a long time, but they are not signed up with the BBB or Angies List, which says a lot!
