LGI Homes repair work at luckey ranch, san antonio, tx

We purchased on our home on 5Jun2017 in the Lackey Ranch subdivision. On the initial walk-through, we documented that the dining room window would not closed properly and lock. As will as it was not seated properly. The bottom part was replaced. It did close better; however, you were able to see light coming through the middle part on the left-hand side. Numerous calls have been made to get this correctly; as well as a warrant claim submitted after being told by the main office for Lackey Ranch that was the proper way to handle this. Several more weeks past, then Chris (supervisor) contacted me about the warranty claim. On 7Sept17, the brick was removed to have the window removed. At 1415, a text was sent to Chris about the work not being completed. No rely. At 1505, I attempted to contact Chris and had to leave a voicemail. At 1543, I contacted Chris about the work not being completed and that it needed to be completed on this date. He apologized and stated that the work was supposed to have been completed by that time. He also stated that he would get someone there to complete the work. At approximately 1530, the window was being removed but no one rang the doorbell or knocked on the door. Very unprofessional behavior and unsafe. The work was not completed. At approximately 0830 on 08Sept17, the bricks were being replaced. However, the bricks do not match the stone on the lower part. At 1739, I contacted Chris about the work not being completed. I also informed him that the workers drop of the cover over the outside plug. At this point, he asked if he could have someone come on Monday to complete the job. I told him not due to my husband sleep and working night-shift plus the work was supposed to have been complete on Thursday. He said that he needed to make some calls to get someone here to complete the work. As of 2201 on 09Sept17, the work has not been completed nor have we been contacted. At this point, I wish we had never purchased property here.

LGI Homes lawn

I bought my "new" home less than a year ago and have a huge issue with my yard that the local realtor I bought from is doing nothing about. Please look at the pictures I am attaching and you will see the issue. Please compare my yard with my neighbors yards who have less than a glass of water in them. It is ridiculous that a "new" home would have this issue. I need someone to address the issue and tell me what they are going to do before I contact an attorney and the local television station to get some action.

Did your Realtor suggest an inspection before you close? I am an agent in Texas and had mentioned to my buyer, yet he refused to hire another inspector thinking that it's a newly built home. I'm glad he signed my addendum so if something happens in the future, no blame against me.

LGI Homes credit card charges

August 22, 2017
Spoken with a representative on the LG Premium Repair Coverage for my washer. When getting ready to pay for the amount of$102.60 the representative told me that the card did not go through. I used another card after he "updated" his system and it went through. My card I used the first time was charged 4 times and the second card was charged twice. This needs to be solved immediately because apparently the representative did not know what he was doing. Between both cards LG has charged my card a total of 6 times. 4 times on one card and 2 times on another. When my card only should have been charged $102.60 payment.

LGI Homes 3 ton lennox ac unit

I purchased my residence (24547 Eagles Claw Dr Hockley TX 77447) back in Dec 2016. It is a two story residence with a total of 2, 160 sf (living area)that is cooled by a 3 ton LEnnox AC Unit. Since i've moved into the residence, the listed residence has been having issues cooling. On 08/08/17, the outside temperature was 78 degrees but took 4 hours to cool the residence to 70 degrees at 6pm. I then contacted my home owners insurance company (Old Republican) who have since then came out multiple times. The repairman concluded that the AC Unit for the listed residence was small and working more to cool the large area. This claim could reflect each month when the electric bill is due. I was instructed to contact the builder regarding this matter. Please feel free to contact me Chris Morgan - [protected] // Rachel Morgan [protected] or email my wife and I at [protected]@yahoo.com // [protected]@yahoo.com. My wife is 6 months pregnant and would like to speak to a rep soon. Respectfully,

LGI Homes refrigerator and builder issues

My name is Eddie Holland and I recently purchased a home in Dallas, Ga. I must say that the staff at the office was amazing. Fik, Joe, and Frenchell Broussard were awesome. They assisted me in the purchase of my home and I could not be more pleased with the services they provided my wife and I. My current issue is with the builder. We closed on Friday and we noticed the refrigerator was not working. I call Billy who is the builder there in that area. He instructed me to sign on to the Whirlpool site and register my appliances and he would call me back. I registered the item and I called him back to say I have registered it. He said he would take care of it. So, today is Thursday almost a week after closing and I have a unit that is brand new and needs repair parts for the ice maker. I feel this is totally unacceptable. He mentioned on Tuesday that if need be, he could swap one from another house. But when I called him today to let him know about the service tech that I personally set up had revealed to me, he danced around the issue. I asked him about his proposal to replace the unit, and he stated, "I cant do that it is above my pay grade. And If i could, it will not have an ice maker." On Tuesday I was talking to the tech from Whirlpool and he wanted me to pull the unit out and ensure all was hooked up correctly and to my amazement, it was a hole in the wall that was being hidden by the unit. At this juncture, I am totally unhappy with the builder and his I don't care, its not my issue attitude. This is totally unprofessional conduct in every facet. The builder is very condescending and his customer service skills are far from mediocre. I can be reached at [protected]. My address is 141 Aberdeen Way Dallas, Ga 30132.

As soon as the hole in the wall was brought to the attention of the builder he came immediately, within minutes and had the hole repaired. Standard procedure is, which is explained in the orientation walk, that due to the nature of the warranty program that all appliance warranties were handled through Whirlpool. The builder contacted Whirlpool management after you registered the appliances and someone was out there in 2 days. They repaired the initial problem and had to order a part to fix the ice maker. The entire repair with waiting on parts and everything took approximately a week and a half which is less than the promised 14 day turnaround. The construction manager does not have the authority to swap appliances. That decision must come from VP of construction or higher. From your own statements to management the builder went above and beyond in correcting your complaint/warranty issue.

LGI Homes unauthorized holding of deposit

I 100% intended to close! I was ready and I showed up to the closing table. My notary will confirm this. Your company/lending company failed to follow the escrow instructions among many things which made the closing documents unable to be signed and notarized.

I jumped through all the hoops to close the deal, sometimes the lender asking for the same paperwork many times over which I provided. I even went so far as to prove deposit of money chain through several accounts that took many days of my time causing me to miss out on other opportunities.

I can write a few pages of all the things that happened but I think we both rather end this quickly. I suggest the best thing for all parties interested is resolve this at the lowest level possible and refund both of my deposits.

I will not let this go. Please refund both deposits or simply refer this to your supervisor and I will run this all the way up the chain in your company. LGI is a big national company that is better than this and I am sure they will make this right. I am wondering why it has taken this long to even refund the one deposit that you agree to.

LGI Homes misleading information

To Whom It May Concern:

Last year, I had purchase a brand new house in Rosenberg, Texas at a subdivision called The Trails of Seaburne Parke.

When I was looking for a new place to leave I came to see this subdivision and while I was talking to the salesman for LGI he was explaining to me about the subdivision, he showed me pictures and the park that I was lead to believed that LGI was going to build. I was so excited and I even told him, that would be great then I can come to the park and do my walk. So while, I'm settling in my brand new house I keep asking my salesperson when are they going to get the park ready and his answer is soon.

Will finally they did, but I only see this little kindy park that has the slides and swing so I asked him what's going own. That when he told me that LGI is putting houses around the Kidd park and that was it. So I asked him what happened to the park that he told me about and showed me the pictures before I had signed the paper. He had no answer, and I told him that you made me believed that there's going to be a park in the subdivision and not a kindy park and he said yeah, and then he told me that I can walk around my neighborhood instead of the park that never really existed.

Now it's to late for me since I am stuck on a mortgage on a place that I was made to believed that a park was supposedly be on my subdivision and turned out to be a lie.

I will tell you this that anyone that I know and in the future if I ever the side to move again, I will make sure that I'll never purchase an LGI home again and I'll make sure that my future clients will not purchase an LGI home also.

LGI Homes semaphore crossings/the builder charles/construction

From the time we bought the house a year ago, we have had nothing but problems, from water running in the walls because of faulty pipes, to leaks in the bathrooms, kitchen. There was a giant replacement of sheetrock in the living room that was not done correctly and we pointed it out to Charles who assured us it would be taken care of and after months and months of contact he came back and stated he was not aware. Charles and the personnel that handle our area are doing nothing more than pumping out products that are basically glued together enough to pass inspection and hopefully make it through the 1 year warranty so that they are not on the hook or if they are they will blow you off for as long as they possibly can. I went through the Veterans Affairs to purchase my home and I have contacted them to inform them of the issues. After 26 years of service I have made contact with a lot of people, one of them being Senator John Isakkson, I will also be passing this on to his office as well, as they need to know what kind of product LGI Homes is putting out in his state. Right now, I need to let it be known throughout the military community and the VA that LGI Homes is not trustworthy, lacks integrity and honor in the services that they provide.

LGI Homes customer service terrible and very rude!

Went to go see a homes at LGI homes. Address

I was suppose to meet with A. and was passed off to anoth sales person, because she had someone else before me. Well, I sat in the office for over a hour where my license was taken and my credit was pulled. That was not the problem, the problem began when I requested to view a home. The salesperson attempted to take me to view the home and in the process told me how much the price was for the home before walking into the home. I told him I was looking for something lesser than the price of the home he was showing me. He than stopped and told me if I could not afford the house he was not going to show me the house. Not only that was rude and told my sister to calm down. My license was in their off the whole time he never returned it back to me. In the most of leave and getting home I looked in my wallet and released that my license was not in my wallet and call the back was told that the salesperson told them I was coming back to get my license when I did not know my license was even not given back to me. I was also told it was my responsibility to get my license back from him. I asked for the corp number at this point and was told to please not call back and hung up on.

LGI Homes home warranty work

I purchased a new home in the Avery Meadows subdivision of Charlotte, NC. It has been the worst experience to deal with warranty issues. I had several issues at closing that Scott Whisonant took care of for me in a very professional way. I was very appreciative of his work ethic and the way that he cared about details. He replaced the rear door on the house since it didn't close properly at all. Scott also staked a new tree that they planted, due to it hanging toward the driveway. Anything that needed to be addressed he took care of with no hesitation.

My home was then turned over to warranty claims to Chris Bohr. Everyone in the neighborhood has apparently had issues with him. He has closed work orders out for warranty claims and not even addressed them. They have agreed to replant the tree in my front yard, since it is completely dead. Chris has been working on replacing that tree for over a month now. He also informed me that a new house should smell like raw sewage when the dishwasher is turned on. He said that a new home does not cover that issue, and that they will only address a busted pipe in the slab. The raw sewage smell is coming from that pipe.

I have since contracted Intrinity Landscaping (Nick Sagnella) to fix the damages from the grading that the builder provided for the backyard. The total expense for this job has come to $7, 000.00 out of my pocket. LGI Homes agreed to come out and coordinate with the contractor since they acknowledged such a bad job was done when the house was built. This was agreed upon via their warranty manager Scott Sterling. Intrinity Landscaping or myself have been able to reach Scott Sterling for the coordinating of this repair after an agreement was made. This in essence has cost me more money for these repairs that the builder has acknowledged to fix.

Most of my neighbors have valid warranty issues as well. The home directly beside mine has a bathroom sink that came loose from the wall, but has yet to have such a simple job completed.

Long story short, stay away from this company. The sales office can be very friendly before you are signing paperwork on a home sale. The attitude and help that you receive after this sale takes place will change drastically.

Too many corners have been cut on this build. I have had crown molding repaired due to it hanging off of the kitchen cabinets. The garage door has been repaired since it fell out of the tracks within the first few weeks of being in the home. There are tons of grading issues throughout the neighborhood that have not been addressed. Those are so bad that they started washing out a wrought iron fence that was installed around my property. The concrete posts for which are 12" in radius and 24" deep. That happened in the first six months of rain.

I have pictures and paperwork to support all of these claims, so this is not just an angry consumer ranting online.

LGI Homes code violations - not fixed after 4 months of communications.

My inspector identified many code violations in my new home prior to the sale. LGI forced me to close by threatening to cancel my contract. I closed on the house. There are 2 code violations that LGI refuses to fix. IRC 2012 is the Law in Texas. They are breaking the law by violating the building codes.

I have asked for attic stairs to be installed in the garage and self-closing hinges to be installed on the garage door.

LGI Homes poor customer service

My husband and I had an appointment to meet with a salesman for LGI Homes to view a couple of the model homes for the Painted Meadow subdivision in the Houston area on March 19, 2016. Approximately eight hours before we were to meet with the agent, I was rushed to the hospital with kidney stones. Out of common courtesy, my husband contacted the agent we were scheduled to meet with - still SEVEN HOURS BEFORE the scheduled appointment - at the cell number the agent had been using to contact us just days before. No answer. He had to leave a voicemail and as a backup he also sent a text message saying we had a family emergency and would need to reschedule our appointment for a later date. We never got a response from the agent to either the text message or the voicemail. When I returned to work a few days later, I emailed the agent requesting to reschedule our appointment to look at some model homes. I never got a reply to my request. A few days after that, I sent an email to another agent that had been sending me advertisements about LGI Homes in the Houston area via email asking to schedule another appointment and I never got a response from him, either. To this date, it has been nearly 2 months and my husband and I have never heard back from anyone in that company and we have never been shown a single model home! Clearly this company does not put customer service as a priority. Since this experience my husband and I have decided to take our business elsewhere and we will never waste our time on LGI Homes again! They certainly have made our first experience as home buyers a memorable one!

LGI Homes customer service, false pretencies, false advertising

This company have a huge billboard on Hwy 19/41 in Lovejoy, GA stating new homes 0 down, when you come by their offices they all greet you like if you were a star, they go thru their spill of lies using pictures advertising hanged on a wall in what I like to call "the kill floor", after a few questions and the mistake that most people make when looking for a home (give them your personal info) they come with big smiles and say congratulation you are a new home owner, they even have a guy that supposed to be an ex banker and their mortgage expert/finance manager telling you this is great, right in front of you tells the salesman "this is a great deal" move forward! After that they show you the home you like, still no price, square footage or info, all you get is we are 30 days out on closings and 45 days on building. Are you serious? when ask for home price they say our approach is different, how much you want your payments to be? they take that info, and how much you make and then come with a figure of how much your payment is going to be and how much the home will cost you. Everyone that look at the house and provide the numbers will get a different price and payment for the same home. Hummmm sound like a scam, and believed me when I tell you we found the hard way. After running my spouse and mines credit once they ran again and then sent to the mortgage person (iMortgage) which ran again, on our case they cause my score to drop below 580, and tried to blame something else on my FICO scores, I contacted the bureaus(all 3) and I was advised that because of the pulls my score drop 11 points, nothing else cause the drop.
when confronted with they stated or we will still help you. Not to mention that we provided all documentation and payment to hold interest and property within 2 days (weekend), the mortgage person never contact me but it supposed to be in contact with the salesperson and they both supposed to be helping me getting into home! I have already have a company looking after my credit, yes we didn't have perfect credit due to prior mistakes not to mention things had been taken care of, but 588/688 and spouse on 639/639 will guarantee a VA backed mortgage. This outfit all they want is shake and bake deal, don't know the programs available, they didn't even offer first time buyer! We gave them couple of weeks and nothing the calls drop, the attitude began. After 4 calls to corporate, 2 emails including 2 text messages to the salesman, I got a call on 02/15/16 rudely telling us to come by the office and sign a cancelation form and only then their VP will issue a check. I went by there today as schedule, the salesman that set the appointment was not there, the so call VP of operations, Construction Director and other executives were in the office not of them said hello or tried to explain or correct the issues, the secretary didn't acknowledge me just came back and told me I'll get your check. Wow that's what I call customer service... DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE MADE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SUBSTANDARD COMPANY, DO YOUR HOMEMORK GO ONLINE AND SEE ALL THE COMPLAINTS THEY HAVE, IN EVERY STATE THEY HAVE PROPERTY THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS, AND THE ONES THAT BOUGHT HOMES FROM THEM NOW ARE SUFERING WITH THE QUALITY OF THE STRUCTURE, IT LOOKS GREAT WHEN NEW BUT AFTER 2 YEARS IT FALLS APART-- THER ARE KNOW IN THE INDUSTRY AS THE "PAPER MACHE BUILDER" HOPE THIS HELP SOME SOULS OUT HERE...

Hi All!

The Ochoa's went into the office - the person in the office, tall thin guy with glasses was rude to the point of offensive and obnoxious, literally tossed the docs and offered no direction as to where to sign.

Someone should truly have a customer service conversation with him. No way to treat a customer, past present or future.

Please let me know if you'd like me to docusign something to the Ochoa's for you.

Thank you,

LGI Homes false advertisement, lies, deceits, poor customer service

My wife and I was driving on 19/41 in lovejoy, GA when we say a billboards for LGI homes 0 down homes, we decided to visit them, and were greeted by 6 people on a Saturday sales manager, director, mortgage officer, vp and salesman wow we were amaze such a customer service, little that we know it was all a front and lies! They went thru the sales pictch, pictures and how they are better than the rest, even after keys are delivered! I'm a vet so I know we were there at just 588/688 and my wife 639/639 we knew we were good, we had made some mistakes in the past but all was handle and behind us. They ran our credit and the credit manager states this is a good deal! So ahead we went went thru all the lies and deceits that sounded awesome, they ran our credit once and ran it again and drop my score under 580, trying to blame something else on my credit, the thruth is I got in contact with the credit bureaus and all 3 stated that it was ran back to back which cause to drop 9 points! The truth is this outfit all they like is shake and bake DEALS, they don't want to work for the sale nor the offer anything else, they false advertise 0 down, won't ever offer first time buyer programs but swear they do. Even that after were advised to wait 30 days the calls drop, the attitude began, customer service went to hell, 4 calls to corporate 2 emails and 1 text and only today got a call back a rude phone call may I add stating to come by tomorrow at 11 to sign cancelation papers and only then the vp will write a refund check! Are you serious no even the decency to address their shortcomings and lies, but is all good when a door closes another opens! Their customer values a lie they 0 down just a lie to lure people in! But read the reviews online hundreds of them stating the same lies, deceit, subpar workmanship and product. 4 miles away from them there is Knight homes 235 square foot bigger, all appliances included, fence and great honest service for $15, 000 less. DONT FALL FOR THE LIES! DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND FIND A BETTER BUILDER A CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED ONE. ANYONE THAT WILL LIKENTO KNOW MORE SEEK ME OUT ILL SPEAK THE THRUTH!
GOD BLESS

LGI Homes nothing but problems

We have foundation problems, electrical, plumbing, leaks, cracks and more. We had to replace AC unit b/c they put one that was 1 ton too small for our size home. Fence outside constantly falling b/c they put no cement to hold main posts. Its constant and always something. I dont recommend anyone buy a home from them. They are cheap and cut corners everyway possible then make excuses not fix things and say things like the house was built to flex and shift. our house is nothing but a money pit not worth anything!

You will get a 45 to 1 hour wasted sales script of their company and the area that you can easily look up online. It is worse than sitting through any timeshare scripted sales pitch or a scam telemarketer sales script. you have no choice of cabinets or counter-tops - as there are no upgrades unless you opt for their luxury models as they call them. Not much different than the cookie cutter homes where every home will have the same cabinetry and counter-tops. floors etc. The price start at $220, 000 - LGI homes look more like low income homes - even Habitat for Humanity homes have better quality and options. You will feel trapped as they bring out their notebook and have to go through each step of their script without ever getting the chance to look at any home features. After you do - that's when you will realize what a waste of time you sat there with the slow talking sales script these people force you to listen to before seeing a sample of their cheap crappy homes. For $5000. more you will realize all the better homes built by reputable builders close by and be given all the brochures without the pressure sales LGI homes does. DON'T WASTE YOU TIME ! It WILL BECOME ONE OF THOSE ABANDONED NEIGHBORHOOD WITH SEVERAL FORECLOSURES BEFORE YOU CAN CALL IT HOME.

LGI Homes racial remarks

Over heard one of the sales people, Young guy that introduced himself to the table next to us as David Keller, repeatedly making "knicker" jokes. Did not find it funny or in good taste.

As a African American man who just dealt with David Keller I will say that I do not see that being far fetch. David Keller made several comments that were questionable in poor choice of humor at BEST! David Keller is a an ### and should be fired from LGI! We loved the area but didn't love how David wasted 7 hours of our day and would not listen to what we were telling him. If we say that we are not ready to buy then you should leave it at that and not act like a spoiled brat and keep trying to make us put $1, 000 down on a home that we don't love. But even bigger picture David had a hard time believe that as a young black male that I wouldn't know anything about home buying which I lead him to believe to see how truly honest he would be. Once revealing that this would not be my first home he completely change how he addressed and spoke with me. Not only did I have to prove to him that I know the house buying process and how the rate changes and blah blah blah I had to prove to him why we didn't care about the change in the rates. As a buyer I shouldn't have to explain to him why I don't want to buy a house to and once i say I don't care if the rate changes then i shouldn't have to explain why I don't care. There was NO need or me to have to explain to him that i could buy the home my girlfriend wanted CASH, but i guess its hard to believe that a young black male could be educated enough to know how to invest in stocks and real state since he was 19 and could buy a home that cost $230K. David Keller is the sole reason that we didn't go back the next week and buy that hose she wanted b/c we could not get the bad taste out of our mouth of how horrible he is and how he wasted a whole day of ours. And each time we told him we were done he wanted to show another house and even told us "don't worry about taking your dog out, he's already poo and pissed in the crate and is probably rolling around in it.". Then he's going to tell us that he is not a tour guide and if we didn't want to buy that very moment then we shouldn't have came, but yet twice (once on the phone and in person) that our main reason for coming today was to see the homes in persona and see if we like them. Not to buy a home while we our locked into our leases until November. So i'm sorry you think that David Keller is such a great man who according to him doesn't have a family to feed because it just him and he only has a girlfriend, with no kids (So what money is being taking from his kids mouth?) But guess what? He's not and he should be fired! He goes against LGI beliefs off customer service. . . Honestly, we like the houses they have to offer but damn sure dislike David Keller and would never buy a home from LGI while he is working for them. And I hope more people start complaining about DAVID KELLER SO WE CAN GET THE WORD OUT TO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM HIM! AND IF YALL DONT WANT POEPLE TAKING MONEY OUT HIS "FAMILY'S MOUTH" THEN YOU SHOULD TELL YOU GREAT BUDDY DAVID TO GO BACK TO SELLING SUNGLASSES AND NOT HOUSES...B/C HE SUCKS AT DOING SO!

UNBELIEVABLE. Wow. Who the hell do you think you are damaging this kid's reputation off of an assumption?!? I am an African American person who has bought a home from David Keller and have sent numerous friends and family to buy homes from David Keller. He would NEVER say such things, and yet you are going to try and wreck his career and take food from his family's mouths because of your self-righteous and ignorant assumptions? How dare you. You should have made this comment directed toward the company or the office if that is indeed what you heard, not an individual whom we love and know to be a man of utmost integrity and has love for all races. I demand you remove this complaint IMMEDIATELY!

I am sorry, however you must have completely misheard whatever you heard. I know David Keller personally, and he would NEVER do such a thing. How do you even know it was him if you did not physically see him saying it? How DARE you try to destroy the reputation of a young man trying to make a living in this world when you do not know the facts. Besides, there are several people who work at that office! David is a darling man and a true professional, who has MANY African American friends and loves everyone equally. You sir/mam need to just stay off the internet completely, or otherwise check your facts before you go wrecking people's careers and lives. I know David personally, and happen to know that he has sold NUMEROUS homes to African American families and helps them and loves their business just as much as any other race. SHAME. ON. YOU.

LGI Homes repairs on new home

We moved into this LGI home about 4 years ago. No one ever lived here before us; the home was brand new when we moved in. Since then, the mirror fell off the wall in the guest bathroom - chipped the vanity and gouged the floor. The mirror was held in place by glue and that is all. NO BRACKETS. The mirror was replaced but I was told they would not repair my floor or vanity. sigh...
The fence around the property was installed without cementing the posts and has fallen flat 2x..we picked it up and braced it with a pole...LGI claims no responsibility although the fence was not installed correctly.
Now we have a leaking pipe; the carpet is wet and stinking. We are told it is not their responsibility to repair it and that we must do it ourselves...sigh
Our home has cracks in the wall and on the outside by the garage. They came out and looked at it, took pictures and we heard no more from them. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE?
Do yourself a favor, DON'T BUY THEIR HOME you are asking for trouble if you do...

LGI Homes - wrong! evil!

I had an appointment today with LGI (second visit to this office) Due to the fact that me being female they could tell me whatever they wanted. I told them I was looking to pay no more than I am paying now (875) per month. Have a list of houses to look at in better areas and closer to civilization. The sales man wouldn't go over anything with me only...
