LG Electronics lg trashed parts to fix and wants to pay me $400

My LG washer purchased
July of 2011at BestBuy rusted around the disposal unit and the left front side.
When the Service tech
arrived he disassembled my washer and then found the replacement part was the
wrong one.
He took both the
replacement part and my part and said someone would get back to me on the
replacement. This was July 19.
I have been told there
is no replacement part and I will have to take $400 and they (LG) gets my
washer. (This was from Eric at Corporate headquarters today)
I said (well- in other
words - No)
I want my washer put
back in one piece.

LG Electronics not getting the services (mobile not working)

We purchase LG G2(IMEI No-[protected]) from Extra Al-Rakha Branch, and we face the problem(screen not working, hanging, mic is not working, network issue, ). We submitted to Extra Customer care(because no any service centre for LG Mobile in Dammam Area) on 08-07-2014(SR No-1-[protected]) and after 45days later he return back without repair my mobile and just he told u have to talk with LG person, he given 1 person contact no but when i called him he given the other person no still i can't get the solution. i want to file a case against LG and extra. Please help me, how to file a case.

LG Electronics very poor services

Very hell services from lg. I am from tanda, ambedkarnagar disctrict, uttar pradesh. I have bought an lg refrigerator model: gl-245 blga5. epvzebn (in), s. no.: 310przz023189 on 12/04/2014 and after 2 months the mosfet of circuit burnt out. I have registered a complaint to the service center on 29/07/2014 and the complaint no. they provided was rna140729058627. they said within 24 hours our engineer will call you and within 72 hours your complaint will be resolved. I have waited for 2 days and no call I received, then I again call to customer care and informed them that I didn't get any call from engineer. they provided a no. [protected] and said you can call to engineer directly and ask him to come to your home and resolve the issue then disconnected the phone. I then called to the provided no. and found that the provided no. is not existing. I then again called to customer care and informed that in the last call you have provide the engineer no. which is not working. then they provided another no. [protected] to call and ask the engineer to resolve your issue then disconnected the phone. I again called on that no. and got reply from another side that they are not lg service engineer and this is wrong no. I suffered a lot and then again called to customer care and informed them what happened in the past 2 calls. then they said let me remind a notification again to resolve your issue and marked it as "urgent". after that I got a call from an engineer mohanlal ([protected]/[protected]) and he visited home. he checked the circuit board and said that the mosfet is burst out and it will take 7 days more to replace the complete circuit board. I asked him why should I wait for more 7 days. it is very small issue and it should be available on the basti lg service center. he then made a call to the basti lg service center to the manager ms. pushpa ([protected]) and informed the issue and asked her to inform me about how much time it will take to resolve this issue. she then informed me that we will place an order for the circuit board and it will come from noida so it will take 7 days. I was shocked and surprised what a great service from lg. for a small component they will definitely pass 15 days in this way.in summer season we have to wait for this much time to run our refrigerator just for a small component and non availability of the circuit board in the service centers. they are not providing good services to their customers. very poor company lg.

LG Electronics lg refrigerator compressor broke

my 2 year old LG refrigerator is not working. I called LG customer service many many times, they are so frustrating. All they do is tell you to troubleshoot, which is unplug the cord and plug it back in. I finally got a technitian to come and diagnose the problem, turns out its compressor is broke and they are taking FOREVER to fix this problem. I have been without a refrigerator over 1 month and they will not fix this! DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. THEY HAVE ANNOYING PEOPLE ANSWERING PHONES FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I AM SO FURIOUS !

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator in July of 2013, before the year was up my ice maker quit working and I had trouble getting a repairman to service it. In the first week of December of 2014 my freezer quit working, I called for service and it took a week before the service man came. I was told it was the compressor and they would have to order a new one and that would take until January 5, 2015. I was without a refrigerator from the first week in December and am still without one. The compressor was replaced and it still does not work, when I called for service they tried to tell me the earliest they could get to me would be January 16th. I complained and they moved it up to January 8th. I have been without for over four weeks, The compressor was covered, but I had to pay for 2 service calls because the warranty was up on labor. I have lost over $500.00 in frozen foods and because I had to keep my refrigerated foods in a cooler on my deck, I lost another $100.00 because items in the cooler froze, such as lettuce, lunch meat, celery, cheese and various other products. I would never buy another LG product!

LG Electronics - loud knocking noise every 15 min

Bought this 'frig at home dept and it's terrible. Had two service men out to resolve this really loud, regularly paced knocking noise from the back of the 'frig. I called lg and they said, it's just the ice cubes filling - - ridiculous. I know what that sound is and it's completely different. I can't seem to get this repaired. It wakes us up in the middle...

LG Electronics warranty not honoured

LG Canada is not honouring the warranty as written for my defective appliance. I have been unable to get a satisfactory explanation cannot escalate.

My fridge stopped working in May 2014. I purchased a 'flat rate' service plan with LG Canada to have my fridge repaired. A technician came to my house 3 times before declaring that the fridge was unrepairable. An LG Canada service team member named Lee Fernandez (lee.[protected]@lge.com) contacted me offering a pro-rate credit of $796.00+ taxes sent to the retailer along with a partial credit refund of for the 'flat rate' service plan I had purchased. The purchase price of the fridge in Dec 2007 was $2200.

The warranty information that I have for my fridge is located in the manual that I received (an online copy can be found at http://www.lg.com/ca_en/support-product/lg-LFC22760ST#). Under the section titled LIMITED WARRANTY, it states:
"LG Electronics will repair or at its option replace, without charge, your product which proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, during the warranty period listed below from the date of original purchase."

Under the section titled WARRANTY PERIOD, it states:
"SEALED SYSTEM : Labor/1 Year, Parts/7 Years (Compressor, consdenser and vaporator)"

From my understanding in speaking with the technician, there is likely a pressure or leak issue within the sealed system. Since the leak is inside the 'guts' of the fridge, it is too difficult to take the fridge apart to repair which is why he deemed it "unrepairable".

So based on the information above, and the fact that I purchased the fridge in Dec 2007 (note - it was not delivered until Feb 2008), I was expecting that the following statement would apply:
"LG Electronics will repair or at its option replace, without charge, your product which proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, during the warranty period listed below from the date of original purchase.

"In the weeks since I was initially contacted by Lee Fernandez, I have repeatedly tried to get answers to the following questions:
1 - Why is the warranty not being honoured to "repair or at its option replace, without charge"?
2 - Is there somewhere in the warranty that mentions the pro-ration?

I have not been able to get any clear answers to my questions. Lee's response is always that this offer is within their existing norms/policy and cannot be reviewed. My requests for escalation seem to have been ignored. My request for a direct number to call have been ignored as well.

I have logged a formal complaint with the BBB (https://kitchener.ebindr.com/complaint/view/1301991/c/y9q2yb#) and have contacted Trail Appliances to see if they have any advice.

I had the same type of problem the sold me a warranty and the repair tech came by my house and checked out my waning machine, he told me that they can't fix it and they should refund my warranty. I called several times to both Lee Fernadez and to and Renne Robinson, that was a a waste of time, six onto nor call or email back

I will not buy LG anymore.

I am having the exact same issue with my fridge. There is a leak in the sealed system which should be covered under the 7 yr warranty but they are not replacing it as suggested by the technician. Instead they are offering me $400 (prorated from original cost, having owned it 6.5 yrs with a 10 yr expected lifespan) toward another LG fridge. Also, I was told it is non-negotiable. Like I'm going to buy another LG appliance after this. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is no mention of prorating warranty in the printed warranty page. So frustrating.

I wanted to relate the same experience with this Lee Fernandez character. I have a 2 year old LG electric range that died on me. I was prepared to pay to get it repaired but essentially, all parts and ranges of this model are discontinued. Hence, not only have I been without a cooking range for 2 months but I had to pay for a service call and for repairs that could not be done, aside from sending a trouble report to LG. A 1K range that runs for 2 years, that's LG quality! They've been giving me the runaround, refusing to answer emails and calls and LG support is really just the worse. I will make sure (even in my small world) that no one ever buys LG again, especially appliances.

I have similar issue with Lee Fernandez He refuses to issue a check for my TV replacement and ignores my phone calls and my email
I have never encountered a person like him and I am not sure if even if he works for LG or a contractor for LG.
I have to file a small claim at the courts to see if i get any were and i advise any one to think twice before buy LG as the service end is real bad jay [protected]

LG Electronics knew of problem but blame customer

I recently purchased a brand new LG dishwasher model No. LDS5540ST. We have only had it for 16 days. Immediately we noticed that the soap was not being used and tried turning the pod etc. We referred to the manual which states "Only use detergent intended for automatic dishwashers" which we are. So I finally phone LG Canada customer service. First off they admit that this is a problem that they are aware of and are now recommending that customers not use the pods, this literature however was not sent out with our particular dishwasher model (their admission) So I suggest that since I have already purchased a large quantity of this soap and they admit this is a problem they are aware of etc. That I would accept a coupon for the soap that they recommend using in this machine, as a resolution. This is where it went to hell. First they came back and said well it says in the manual to use only HE soaps, I said no it doesn't and proceeded to read to them exactly what it says. I also explained to them that I have in fact used HE products before and was fully aware of how to use them and the types of soap that those machines require. They then said they still weren't going to do anything because the picture in the book shows them putting the soap in with a spoon! I will be trying to return this product and NEVER purchasing LG again> All over a simple thing that could have been resolved with a coupon. My main concern is that they know of this problem and admit to it and then turn it around and blame the customer!

LG Electronics damage to washer while fixing cosmetic problem

On 3/17/12 I purchased new LG washer for my sister. It was chosen because my sister is disabled and this unit better suit her disability. The price was $1, 099.

In May I learned that the Bleach dispensing area of the washer was rusting. This was a cosmetic issue and did not fall under the extended warranty that was purchased. Since this was an obvious flaw in the galvanizing process I contacted LG and they agreed to “extend” their warranty and to repair the washer for the rusting issue.

On 6/6/14 LG sent a service tech out to look at the washer and he said that he needed to order the parts to replace the washer top. The tech returned 6/13 to make the repairs. When he re-assembled everything he could not get the washer lid to lock (in order to operate the washer’s lid must be locked). He called someone on the phone to request assistance. When he hung up the phone he said he had to order more parts.

On 6/14 he installed the new parts but the lid still would not lock. Also, the water would not stop running until the unit was unplugged. He made another phone call requesting additional assistance. While on the phone, he tried several other things to no avail. He then hung up the phone and said the washer was “un-repairable”. He stated that someone from LG would be contact in three to four days.

The service ticket issued by LG states that the issue they came out for was cosmetic but they left the washer inoperable.

On 6/16 someone from LG called and offered to pay $800 for the washer but that was all they would do for us. They would not repair or replace it. We requested a supervisor. On 6/17 Michael called and said the same thing. My Brother-In-Law told him that was unacceptable. The washer was working before their rep took it apart.

Michael (from LG) directed my brother-in-law to contact Home Depot because the extended warranty was through them. The problem with this is that this is not Home Depot’s responsibility. LG sent their employee into my sister’s home and, while in the normal course of his duties, he damaged the mechanical workings of her washer. This is no different than if he had dropped his tool kit on a crystal vase and broke it. LG is responsible to make my sister and brother-in-law whole.

It is injudicious to allow a company to come in to a senior citizen’s home to repair a cosmetic defect and damage beyond repair (according to their own technician) a washer that was purchased for $1, 100 and then to disclaim responsibility for the damage that they caused. Just because this is company is a foreign-based multinational conglomerate it should not have the right to treat our consumers this way.

When speaking with LG’s customer service representative and the supervisor, Michael, we asked for what we believe is reasonable. We requested that LG either repair or replace the washing machine with the same model.

My sister is disabled and has trouble moving around. She would normally only wash small loads of laundry at a time. Now, she must gather all of her clothes together and either drive fifteen-twenty miles to a laundrymat, pay money that she should not have to pay and use machines that are just as apt to destroy her clothes as to clean them. Her only other alternative is to drive thirty-five miles to my house and use my washer and dryer and try to do her laundry all in one day. Over an extended period of time this very well may be deleterious to her health.

LG Electronics pathetic dealer attitude and no installation support

On 13 jun 14, i bought a LG split ac 1.5 ton LSA5PW5M from Unison Air Conditioners, krishna nagar, delhi and paid a downpayment of Rs 11750/- via cheque. I was promised delivery upon cheque clearance. I followed up co owner Mr Sanjay on Mon 16 jun but was told that monday being holiday, i'll be confirmed by Tuesday. I calldd up on Tuesday 17 jun and then i was told that ac will be delivered by evening. Despite follow ups, same was not delivered on Tue also and i was again promised that it will be delivered and installed on Wed, 18. Based on this assurance, i took leave on 18 but no one turned up despite follow ups and upon rigourous follow ups, ac was delivered by 9pm on 18 and i was again assured that same will be installed definitely on Thu 19 jun. So i again took leave and again followed up with them since today morning. After number of follow ups, engineers turned up around 12:30pm and when I asked them to ise nitrogen and vaccum based cleaning during installation, they called up their supervisor and started to go back. When i enquired, they told me that some other engineer will come for nitrogen based installation. I called up owner Sanjay once again and this time, he picked the phone amd told me that such installation will cost rs4500/-. This was a shock to me because even companies recommend proper cleaning of moisture before installation. He told me now to get in touch with another engineer. When called up that person, he said he'll come by tomorrow. Now, i called up company and talked to one of the supervisor, jagmohan singh. He assured me to get the same installed by today and told me that service centre enginmer will call me. I waited for another hour but no one called. I called up call centre again but this time even jagmohan also busy. Now, due to this shameless behaviour of dealer and careless attitude of co., i have wasted my second leave with no clue of any installation today.

LG Electronics tripping off & auto change of channels

I purchased LG LED 3D 32LM3410 from Gera Vision, Vishnunagar, Jagadhri Workshop, Distt. Yamunanagar. The product is of inferior quality as it began problematic from the very beginning but it was somehow set right by local dealer. In the beginning of May'14 the problem worsened & now lying idle for one week. I chase daily but no one ready to tell the fact. This is the sorry state of LG Electronics.
The technician through customer care told me that the part will be replaced after its arrival. When the part will be arranged is not known.
I am getting only assurance but no one can ensure arrival of parts.

Very poor service of LG electronics.

The customer is helpless & feel cheated because it not known when the LED will be set right, though it is hardly six months since it has been purchased.
The local dealer Gera Vision is sitting idle because their duty is selling only LED & rest is upon the Co.

LG Electronics rusting stainless steel inner tub & door

The dishwasher came with a 5 Year warranty on the Stainless Steel Tub. Three years down, I see dots on the door and think water marks. Then call LG service who inspect and confirm that not only the door but the inside of the stainless steel tub too is rusting! The dishwasher is now 4 years old. The LG technician says it cant be fixed. And when we ask LG to honor their warranty, this is the response: " …LG will offer you 15% discount towards the purchase of a new LG dishwasher. Please remove and keep the original serial tag of your defective dishwasher, as those will have to be sent back to LG Canada (by Purolator, account# [protected], it should be addressed to Attention: M Mannik on the address below). You also have to send us the new Receipt which you can send by email".

LG Electronics starting trouble

I have purchased LG F1056LDP in 2010. First 3 years it was worked nice. But this year (4th year) it is giving starting trouble. Once the machine is switched ON, we can change wash type, spin, temp. But, Start/Pause is not responding. I have physically checked that switch is fine. Randomly sometimes it will work. But most of the time it is not working.

Anybody knows the reason, please tell me.

Well if you purchase product that cost more than 200.00$ should work properly when you purchase it new and you shouldn't have to pay to ship it to get fixed that should of worked in the first place! I was liking lg til i purchased this phone and found out that lg really sucks i will never purchase a lg product ever again ! If it don't work then don't sell it to us! V vvc

LG Electronics broken washing machine

Our relatively new front loading washing machine broke three months ago. For the last twelve weeks, we have logged over 30 calls to LG; have dealt with three service repair companies (two companies directly affiliated and sent out by LG); and have had eight service calls to our home to attempt to repair the machine. Every time we contact a representative at the company for information or for an update, we receive conflicting information about the status of our situation. We are almost always re-routed to a different client care representative. In each instance, we have to provide them with the detailed history of our situation, but this continuously leads us nowhere in the process. Most recently, we sent a letter to LG, but have not received a response.

Almost every part of our washing machine has been replaced however our machine is still broken and in pieces. As a family of six, including four young children, we are extremely dissatisfied with how this matter has been dealt with by the company.

LG Electronics lg phone very high running cost

I took out a new celphone contract at Westgate Cel C. I wanted a Samsung Pocket + or Samsung Fame. After 3 weeks of struggles i was offered the LG1 phone. I clearly said i dont want to struggle with the phone, and i dont want an expensive phone, because the pay as u go works out too expensive for me. I signed for the LG phone, they helped me to set up the phone, but because i left Cel c store all my first months MB has been used up. I wasnt too happy, but bought some pay as you go, just to get the phone going.

Since then i have been back to the Cel C store several times, because the LG phone use up all money loaded onto the phone within minutes. Cel C store helped several times to try and close all unnessesary apps, and internet, but it seem that nobody can stop . the LG phone from just eating the money.

We requested that the LG phone gets tested for a fault, but we were told that this is the programs that the LG phone gets sold with, and it cannot be deleted or disconnected. Im using my old nokia phone now. because i cannot keep om paying money and load onto the phone, and it just keep on dissappearing into the cyber space for nothing!

LG Electronics warranty repair or replacement

I have an LG Optimus F7 (LG870) that I bought from the Boost Mobile website that has never had a working GPS since I got it in July 2013. I have been through LG's crappy customer service twice now. Each time they have me send it to their repair depot in Texas, they reboot the software, and send back the same non-working phone! No matter how many times I plead, get on my knees begging, crying on the phone, to please help me. Honor my warranty and replace my phone - even with a refurbished one that works, they won't do it! The just say I have to send it back to the repair depot and they determine what needs to be done. Bull CRAP! They just keep rebooting the software and sending it back, totally disregarding that the hardware is faulty and must be replaced. I need my phone replaced. Does anyone know anyone in LG that will actually help?

Boost will not honor their sale, by the way, because they use a 3rd-party to fulfill their orders and told me to pound sand when I asked for their help.

LG Electronics gas leakage

This is to bring to your kind notice that I Mr Graciano Diniz hailing from Goa.i have purchased the LG split AC on 07th Dec 2013.But during the last month of our warranty there was a gas leakage problem occured.so I complained these matter to Mr Santosh who is incharge at the designated office in south goa.He took the unit to the workshop and kept it more than 15 days. After he remarked that it is not a gas leakage problem but only a installation problem.since it was last month of our warranty period, I requested him to take necessary action, as I would not be responsible further for any damage.So after a month the same problem appeared.I brought my own technician n he guided me there is a severe gas leakage, than again I complained to Mr Santosh.No sooner he took my AC unit back to workshop, and after 15 days he complained there is a gas leakage problem.so i requested him please look into the matter because I believe the AC unit is clearly faulty so help the customer in a very special way.I m writing this letter to the concerned authority to take action as earliest as possible as I dont want to face problem again and again.LG says life is good but making our family life very miserable . so please kindly look into this matter and make our life good and happy .I trust and looking forward for your reply and sincere co-operation as earliest as possible. LG Electronics horrible product/nightmare

I am a retired serviceman from the AirForce and have been out of the country for 1 year and 6 months when I was home last I bought an lg washer from HHGreg in my area they delivered and installed it and never used it until I retired from the Airforce. I've used it maybe from 10-12 times since I returned home and 1 day I put a load of clothes in it and left to make a run to return home to water running down my driveway and my garage being flooded with water and my drywall laying on the garage floor and sparks from my breaker box due to a water hose inside the machine coming loose I called the store where purchased they informed me that I was out of warranty. They wanted to send a repair guy out in a few days to see what the problem was he told me just to come out was $69 just to look and they would apply it to the cost of repairs.. I thought about it and looked for my self and seen where when it was (poorly) built their was a cheap hose clamp that popped off and cause the water to shot everywhere. From there cheap machine I had to spend nearly $1700 to replace the drywall and repaint replace the breaker box which shorted out replace flooring wood and carpet and mouldings but the Only thing they will say is I didn't get a warranty with it. Like they would have fixed it and all the damage done. Never in this life again will I buy another product from them.

LG Electronics no product and no refund too!!!... cheats

I had ordered LG tone bluetooth headset white - HBS730 (order ID: [protected]) almost 2 months back for 11.5 kwd from kuwait souq.com. And received it but it had defect and was told by the seller that it will be replaced within 3-4 days time and until today I didn't get it. The seller took back the item and didn't refund the money which was done as COD. And when enquired again the seller made a new order and is asking me to pay again 11.9 kwd and is telling me that it is the company policy! So what about the money that I paid earlier ? And finally after much dispute I was delivered the headset but with even more defects! ... and they are telling that the money cannot be refunded. Kindly help me with this I need my money back or a good product I need justice!

LG Electronics lg refuses to assist and rejects complaint post

Bought a kitchen set of range fridge and microwave, after a month range not working and hear rings rubbed off. They refuse to do anything about it stating its cosmetic and not address the heating issue. After writing this on the LG consumer page they rejected my comments! I guess they don't want people knowing they screw them over. I even answered one couple stating the heating elements don't work right and are not safe and they refuse to post that!? Lowes cannot believe how bad they are,

Yes LG care "INDIA" I am not falling for it again, I have spoken to LG multiple times and wasted my time and money doing so, I believe your stating that you wish to help to make LG look good online. I doubt you or LG will do anything until this goes to court. I will for the benefit of the other consumers here and the fact that maybe the 4 LG customer support personnel I spoke to were bottom of the barrel and maybe your not give you the benefit of the doubt. LG likes to make customers give up by asking them to continuously re-write their complaint in emails over and over again, never doing anything to correct the issue.
STANDBY for further updates folks I will let you know how it went!

I agree with your comment, I just got off the phone with LG Consumer, and a East Indian spokesperson for the company that you could not understand what he was telling you, actuallt I have a problem with my LG Oven I purchased last July, and the blue finish is coming off inside of the oven, the LG Company told me that this was a cosmetic problem, not covered under the warranty, I was not told when I bought the item that the finish on the oven was not covered on the 5 year extended warranty I purchased, I will NEVER buy another LG Product there service contract is no good, I am not done with this issue we did not get any resolution from the LG Company I will be going to the Media about there products

LG Electronics no response to multiple complaints lodged for malfunctioning of lg washing machine

Hi,

I have lodged multiple complaints with LG for the malfunctioning of the washing machine purchased less than a year ago. However, the technician has not visited my place to look at the problem. The calls are also closed citing "re-appointment from customer" where as I haven't received a single call for scheduling the visit.

The customer care has provided with his supervisor's number, which is not picked up. The service center number provided by the customer care is switched off.

Please help us in getting attention from LG on this issue.

my lg washing machine castor was break down in saltwater . please another sprae the same model 7239ks topload washing machine castor is given it.
