I had my surgery at Lasik Plus in Jacksonville FL 2 months ago. I still cannot see! I understand that is what happens when you have the surgery without a flap but I did not! The person who did my exam was very informative and thorough but when I went back for my surgery the person who said they would be in there with me, was not. I then had my instructions and got 2 different sets from 2 different people and one was the receptionist and she acted like I was a bother for asking her questions. After my surgery I was ushered out like "you're done - now get out - NEXT!" The doctor seemed very nice until I overheard some of the other workers discussing 'issues' that they had been having! I wish I had heard it before my surgery, but I heard it while waiting for my ride!
I have gone back to all my appointments (which ended up being many more than I was told in the beginning! Due to my 'problems with healing' from what I was told) When going in for my appointments they were very un-businesslike! The guy who checked me was texting & laughing at the front desk when I cam in. I asked him if he knew what he was doing & I got a "yeah" and a laugh. Another person in the office that day was having 'issues' just like me! When they saw us talking we got dirty looks & they quickly separated us & moved us from the other people there. I guess they didnt want us to chase away their new VICTIMS!
Wow - I feel like a huge victim of the old 'bait & switch" The doctor reassures me every time I come in and tells me its 'perfectly normal' for this to happen - but this is my vision we are talking about & now I can barely work with the headaches I get.
Dont go to Lasik Plus! Do some research! Pay a little more if you have to! I thought it was great because I had the "Lifetime" plan but now I know why - it may take a lifetime to 'fix' whatever they messed up!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! The technician was an [censored] and a complete jerk! I know people can have bad days but good lord even from the beginning he sucked in my opinion. I will never recommend this place to anyone. He was beyond rude and treated me like a child and like I didn’t know what I was doing / or understanding him. He acted like I wanted to be there all day. Such a rude [censored] and I hope he gets written up. I can guarantee I’m not the first to complain about him.

I’m extremely unhappy and disappointed in the patient consultation process at Lasikplus. I recently went to the Orlando Office in for an initial consultation. During the consultation, the doctor told me that I had a mild astigmatism and mild onset of presbyopia. He stated I was definitely a candidate for Lasik surgery. I scheduled the surgery for the following week. I initially, due to my job requirements, opted to have 20/20 Lasik surgery performed. On the day of the surgery, the doctor who actually performs the surgery, who is different from the doctor who I saw for the consultation, stated that I would need to wear reading glasses after having 20/20 Lasik performed. So I said, wait a minute, time out. The whole purpose of me getting Lasik was so that I wouldn’t have to wear glasses. So I went back in to the eye exam room, back to the original doctor that gave me the consultation and I explained to him that I didn’t want to wear glasses after paying $3700 dollars for Lasik surgery. So he recommended that I undergo MONOVISION.
So let me explain what should have happened. I should have been offered monovision contacts, on a trial basis, so that I could have at least tried out the monovison process before undergoing a permanent monovison surgery. This was offered or suggested. This way I could have worn the monovision contacts for a week or two and tried out whether or not I liked the idea of monovision, which I do not. On my two week follow up visit, I explained to the doctor that my eyes were not improving. He stated my eyes are still healing. So I explained to him that I needed nighttime driving glasses now because my night vision is very poor, and I work night shift as a police officer. So due to my job requirements, there were nights that I had to take off, nights that I just could not see or focus on anything whatsoever. I have spent thousands of dollars in prescription glasses, in the last eight weeks, because my eyes are not healing. So now, my eyes appear to be in worse condition than when I started. So now I have clear bifocals, HD free form progressive lenses and HD free form progressive lenses sunglasses, and intermediate computer glasses to compensate for my blurry vision. My right eye, which was set for distance, appears to be fine, but the left, which was set for close up vision is blurry, therefore it throws off the vision in my right eye; making my overall vision blurry. Needless to say, I’m very unhappy.
So after 6 to 9 months, when my eyes heal, I am returning and getting 20/20 Lasik, as I should have done in the first place.
Please start recommending or offering a trial for the monovision before messing up people’s eyes.

I'm experiencing issues with the Altamonte Springs location. I didn't get my original procedure done in this state. It was Virginia and I had a wonderful experience. However, I find that I am in need of an adjustment in my 'reading' eye. I was told I first needed to have a full eye exam. I was free to go somewhere else but they offered to do it there for $90. I agreed. Then I was told to come back in 2 months for a recheck to make sure my eyes hadn't changed. Then yesterday, I went for the 2nd exam and am told I need yet a 3rd one. And each previous appointment has been rescheduled by them too. I have seen different people from the receptionist to the assistant to the 'dr' that examed my eyes. The 'dr', who by the way only has her BS degree on the wall, even make it sound like it was me that wasn't coming in and seeing the same people. She showed me how my vision would be after my next procedure. I didn't understand that my non-tweeked eye would get worse. That didn't make sense. If I cover the eye that is getting tweeked, my 'good' eye should not change. Anyway, she is telling me that my eyes will not be as good as before. Then she proceeds to tell me that they will shave of a layer of my cornea and I'll have to wear a contact, that may feel gritty, for a week. I don't get the feeling that they really want me to use my 'lifetime guarantee.' I invested a good deal of money into this. I'm concerned and have come here to see if this is just me or an experience others have had, either, locally or with the company in general.

I had my Lasik in Orlando in Nov 2005 before I moved to Jax and couldn't be more happy with it. Everybody is different and our bodies don't always respond like the next patient so maybe you are the "one in ten" who will have problems. It is also possible that you read into the actions of the office staff, but maybe not. @JoeJax - if you lost your job due to malpractice on their part, then I hope you have a lawsuit in the works. All I know is that in Orlando, I found Lasik Plus to be very helpful, knowledgable and I just had a fantastic experience. Maybe I'm the "one in ten."

I had the same issue at this same office but then I found out that their Dr isnt even from the Jacksonville area! He actually comes from their other office in Orlando! They have even bounced me over to their Tampa office to meet with their 'most knowledgeable' doctor! If I had known that their 'most knowledgeable' doctor was in Tampa, I would have damn-well gone there for the surgery. Now I am paying the price! I cant see! They refuse to give me an 'enhancement' which I was told would be done if my vision wasnt perfect. I no longer can drive at night & have since lost my job because of it...Lasik Plus Jacksonville...thanks for ruining my life!
