Lack of service
Complaint Rating: 100 % with 6 votes
We own an 18' round intex easy set pool, last summer the hose between the pump and filter sprouted a leak. We could not find a replacement 2' hose and instead bought a hose from Home Depot. The hose does not fit right and so we did without the pool for most of last summer.....oh and one of the handles broke that serves to open the water . This year I found intex on the web and immediately ordered the hose and handle paying by credit card via a person on the other end of the phone line. I explained to the real live person (Jose) that we live in a very small town and our mail is not delivered to our home as everyone in town has a PO box. He said that they only deliver via UPS and so he had to have the street address for delivery and of course he had the PO box because that is what is tied to the credit card. This transaction was on June 20,06. I was told we get our parts in 5-7 days. On June 27 I called Intex again to get a tracking # for the UPS shipping. At that time someone whose name I did not get told me that the parts were sent regular mail to our street address. I talked til I was blue in the face to this very rude young man and finally asked to talk to a supervisor. He told me that I had to give him my personal info and a supervisor would call me back in 48 hours. I WORK I DO NOT SIT AT HOME WAITING FOR THE PHONE TO RING! I handed the phone to my husband and the rude young man hung up on him. I called back and got another person named Stacy took the call talking to my husband and she apologized and said that the parts would go out the next day to our PO box and "no we would not have to wait for them to get the other parts back from wherever they had ended up". She took all of our info again. On July 10 we again called and got a person called Antonia...she says the parts have not gone out and that there was not any new info in the computer because only a supervisor can change info after the initial order! Again we were refused when we asked to talk to a supervisor being told we would get a call in 48 hours. Guess what it is July 17, NO PARTS, NO CALL but the money was deducted from the account June 21, for order # 260071. It is now July 17 the summer is 1/2 over and we have not been able to use our pool. We have our home up for sale and we had no intention of moving the pool to a new home but instead were going to purchase a new one.....it will NOT be an intex! It is a $600.00 piece of junk taking up space in our backyard. Thier web site does not even have an address to send inquiries or complaints to and I was unable to find one until I got on this web site. That is not the way to do business! I will never NEVER reccommend an Intex pool to anyone after this lack of service. By the way Wal*Mart has been no help either as they feel that they have thier money so tough luck just buy another pool and line thier pockets again! Please help me resolve this. Thank you..... Nancy

I have been dealing with Intexcorp for about a month and a half over missing parts for a 18' above ground metal frame pool. The valves and filter strainers needed to hook up the pump to the pool were missing, I called Intexcorp and was advised I needed to submit a claim form to get the missing parts. Ok thats fair so I faxed it to the number that they gave us and called back a week later to check on my claim. I was told that my fax did not come through and was given a second number to fax it to, sent it to both numbers this time and again called to check on the missing parts. I was told that they had received my claim but the parts were on back order and that they would be sent ASAP. Two weeks later called again and was told that my claim was not received and wanted to know what number I had faxed it to. The customer service rep. was reading from my claim form so I know that they have it, again more run around and stalling from Intexcorp. So what to do what to do? Decided to call every retailer of their products and ask them to get involved. I figured if everyone that has had a problem with Intexcorp customer service could start complaining to the major retailers, ie. Walmart, Target, Home Depot then they might stop selling Intexcorp products and put them out of business. If nothing else they might have to fix their Com.Ser.Dept. I hope that everyone that knows someone who has had a problem with INTEXCORP passes this idea on and start hitting INTEXCORP in their wallet.
