LA Fitness International - threatning message

I went to this gym. Requested that I wanted to speak to a particular staff. They said okay. I spoke to him. Then the weekend manager Mathew came . I left after he pressured me to sign by tomorrow or the deal he was giving me will expire! Of course! Pressure tactics. 2 days later he left me a threatening message that i was not welcome in the gym!. Because my request to speak to only a particular person! And since when did this become derogatory? What kind of people La Fitness hires?
Mr Mathew iI don't want to come to "your gym" (I don't think you own that gym first of all) Now since you threaten me, take a good look at yourself. You are overweight and skinny at the same time! unfit! With stomach protruding out of your shirt and skinny arms, skinny body you don't inspire confidence mister. Why would I want to take fitness advice from you? You have no credibility Mister.

for your post at yelp.com. This 49.99 deal was also offered to me. I am glad i did not become a member of this club.
They would have done the same things to me too. Your post was informative and saved me from getting ripped off by these 'crooks' as you say.

Ali and his sales staff are underhanded crooks. You'll be told it's only going to cost $49.00 to enroll and that's it! However when you check to see what was drafted it ends up being more than double. Then when you attempt to have the situation corrected by management you are told "there's really nothing I can do you misunderstood" when in all actuality you know exactly what you were told. Very underhanded & dirty sales practice for new members. No recommendation from me. Go to a gym with an honest sales staff. Not just commission hungry liars looking to steal from you.

I have had an absolutely horrible experience at this location. My fiance and I, after working out together one day, were accused of training. After defending ourselves, we were further accused of lying, cheating the company, and stealing business from the gym. I was then asked to never return to the gym, simply for helping my fiance exercise. I would suggest that no one use this location, and find another nearby. I have no issues with LA Fitness, but simply this location. Be careful, for this location does not offer respect to their members or service to their customers. Stay away.

Poor management. Convinced me to upgrade to Master Trainer who left within a few weeks. After more than 20 ongoing calls and visits, and 3 months later, nobody seems to have the authority to reduce cost and agreement to basic Trainer which is what has been available up until now. I have been overpaying for services received and only get a runaround on resolving it. They can upgrade services at the front desk but cannot rewrite the agreement and reduce cost to fix the issue. Very frustrating.
