Kroger kroger fuel points

Why is this company taking newest points first instead of using my older points? This is false advertisement an disloyal to customers. I had 323 points expiring 4/30/2011 and when I ended fueling on 4/29/2011 I realized that the 400 points I used were taken from my points expiring 5/31/2011. I was completely disatisfied with the company's policy on this subject.

This whole fuel point deal is a scam. Kroeger cheats on these points all the time. Went last night to fill up, had 755 points from June I needed to use by the end of July. Went to #2 and entered the 70 cents. It gave me 10 cents. When I called customer service they said the pump was probably being updated. Wanted to give me 600 points to use by the end of Aug. Problem is I had already earned 950 points in July and the card is limited to 1.00 per month. So once again Kroeger plays the scam. I lost 16.82 on 28 gallns of gas. I wonder how many others have lost the same or more. Watch your receipts.

Kroger sold spoiled meat and I became ill

I purchased a package of "Oven Roasted Turkry Breast" on March 22, 2011. My wife, son and I ate sandwiches that evening. By 3:00 AM, my wife and I were running to the bathroom with diarrhea. This gastrointestinal problems (gas pain and diarrhea) continued for 3 days. We had no idea that it was the Turkey which caused the problem. We talked w/our son on the second day... and he informed us that he, too, was having the same problem. When we opened the package (on the 5th day after purchase), the smell was unbelievable! I called the [protected] "Hotline" and informed them of the problem. I was told by "Kathy" that I should store the meat in the freezer... and someone would call me in a couple days. I didn't hear from Krogers (by Friday, March 25) so I called again. I was told by Kathy (again) that I wil hear something in a couple days. I have since called 4 more times... and no relief. It's always "... someone will be calling in a couple days..." Meanwhile, the bad turkey has permeated all of my frozen food. I took the horribly odoriferous turkey to the store where I purchased it (on Galloway Rd., Mesquite Tx.) and I spoke with the store manager, Karen. After waiting (30 min.) for her to call her Dist. Mgr., and make several calls to Corporate... Karen told me that they would give me a $25 coupon for my loss! I've lost more than $150 in food... and hours of aggravation on the phone dealing with people who really don't care. Karen informed me that she was not aware of any complaints. I spoke with two others (in the dept.) who told me the same. I've been a loyal customer of Kroger's for more than 35 years. All my family are Kroger shoppers. But, I will never walk into another Kroger store. In my business, I meet 6-8 new aquaintances every day. That's a lot of "word-of-mouth" advertizing. And I will broadcast this to every person I meet, and every website... and every medium that I have access to. The (alleged) case number which was assigned to this incident (by Kroger Corporate) is #[protected]. The persons I've spoken with (at Corporate) are Kathy, Chelsea, Kim... and Karen. No last names, of course. Due to being passed around on the phone, I've forgotten a couple of their names. But I did ask that all calls be recorded. Corporate did not inform the Mesquite Kroger that there was a problem. The manager, Karen, asked that I give her the package and they would give me a coupon... and I could forget about it. I don't think so! And I promise, Kroger will not forget me (any time soon).

I'd a took the $25 coupon and have them throw in a 24 pack of high end Charmin (for my troubles) and call it quits for the day. You're pushing the envelope, Madge.

Kroger employee abuse

I reported my Complaint which I was given a number #[protected]. I walked back into Frys located on Highland and 20th street to get my cane. I was so excited to see it that I told the customer service rep, that it was my cane and I could I get it. The customer in front of me screamed that I was rude and your customer rep agreed and told me to my face I was rude for asking for my cane. I had to limp into the store to get it as I left it in the grocery basket after shopping there.
I left and my granddaughter heard the whole thing and thought it was horrible the way I was treated. On her advice, I went back into the store to report it to a manager. The rude customer that screamed at me got in between me and the assistant manager and wouldn't let me complain. Instead, she screamed I was a drug addict, pscho or an alcoholic in front of the whole store. The Assistant Manager didn't do a thing about it and I left humiliated. Haven't been back there since.
2 Weeks later, I get a call from Siad, the Manager. I explained it to him and he completely blamed the customer and made no mention of his employee that played into the customers mentality. I haven't heard a word since from Siad and it's been 2 weeks. He has dropped the ball and blown me off like a piece of lint on his suit.
From here, if I don't receive some kind of action from Kroger acknowledging my humiliation and the employees being reprimanded, I am afraid I will be forced to take further action. I am a paralegal and know how to file law suits.
I expect to be treated with some kind of respect here.
I am sorry that I have to take this further, but your manager, Siad at that store has done nothing and I expect him to do nothing because he has let this go like it's nothing to him.
Sincerely,
Joan Bennett

Kroger discrimination against black people in general

The Delta Division for Kroger has a unique way of fooling the black customers and black employees whom invest in the success of the Billion dollar empire which Blacks are still suffering as though Martin Luther King didn't exist. My complaint is simple, unless you are in the good old boy system you can call employees ###, ###, and say ###s are dumb, and all their good for is stealing. Just ask some of the employees, like Brenda at Plaza, or Bertha, Lisa the union steward. Better wittness to slave Act ask all the black managers in the company, and the one's in the past 10 years who where victims of the corporate hangings in the head of Human Resource in Memphis continues to use his power to abuse, destroy, and violate black men trying to become something in life. Note:1. If you are a racist you can get promoted 2. If you are a black man and play the role of knowing Master still exist you can get promoted. 3. However, if you are a Black Educated sharp looking guy, people around you will envy you and assist in the Corporate hanging. THIS IS REAL IT HAPPENED (On the loud speaker the supervisor screamed loudly will all the BLACK BAGGERS COME UP FRONT) Location Kroger Store on Plaza Drive

Oddly enough the manager of the "Plaza Drive" more commonly known as the Poplar Plaza store is an African-American and the Senior Co-Manager of that store is an African-American woman. The situation here is that the store has a number of rank and file employees who stand around, talking to one another, eating chips while walking through the store, and in theory not doing their job. So don't accuse management of being racist when so many of the employees, especially from the previous building, are lazy.

Okay, lets face it. The racism card is ALWAYS handy. However, you have to call a spade a spade when playing cards. Will someone please tell me if you are a black person/employee working in a predominately white store and there are 6 positions held by 6 white employees who vacted them, 5 of the positions are given to 5 white employees (no posting/hand selected), then a black female with 29 years of service, has been doing the job of 1 white female, has to go and ask for the position, yet is told, "you can't have your cake and eat it too" what other card is there to pull?

Kroger public embarrassement

I was walking around Kroger browsing and looking for taco seasoning and ground beef for my mom. i was followed by a lady the first five minutes i walked through the door, i didn't think much of it at first until i noticed every aisle i went to i look over and seen her pretend to stocking things. she finally asked me did i need help and i told her no. i found the taco seasoning but as soon as i went to the freezer to get ground beef an officer stopped me and asked me to come here. i knew that they thought i was shop lifting so i ask for What. then he grabbed me and begin to search me in front of every one in the store. after they found nothing i was embarrassed as if they did find something.

Kroger unprofetional managers

On sunday, Feb27th my husband and I went shoping at Krogers. He likes to drink coffee while I do the shoping. When I was thruogh shoping and put the grocerys in the car I went back in to get him . he infomed me that the coffee had spilled on his stomick I had asked him did he tell them so they could give him some ice, he said he did and that they gave him a cup of ice .When I saw it I imedietly got neosporin for it. The manager proceded to walk by as if to check but just looked ourway and walked by Thats when i was annoyed, so I went to him to tell him what happend and that he needs to train his employees on how to address situations as this. He said he would get some information of what happend and walked away and sent a female manager to check on us.She looked at it and got a plastic bag for the ice and simply said if there is any problem just let us know. What ticks me off is the lack of concern and profetionanalism. You wonder why you get sued. I'm not that kind of person to do that. but if that happend to somene that was sue happy you would have been since his burn lookes worse and its going to take him longer to heal of his condition. I happen to love Kroger .I go all the way to kroger to avoid Walmart and Walmart is closer . The lack of concern about what happend really put a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to bother with you either. I know i'm only one person but if this is how little you care about your shopers then i don't need to shop with you, they didn't even offer to reimbers me fore the Neosporen.

Should they have sat down and cried with him? Would that make you satisfied? Jeez, when are people going to learn to take responsibility? You think kroger employees honestly cared your husband (an adult I'm assuming) got coffee spilt in him...you know the checkers make 7.25 an hour...and sadly managers don't make much more then that. Your husbands not 5 he's an adult ! Maybe next time he should try a sippy cup.

if your husband spilled hot coffee on himself then he should blame himself. Its up to you to take care of your husband not starbucks cause they didnt marry him, you did. I work at starbucks and if someone is burned at work we run cold water on the burn then get back to work i dont cry about it and try to point the blame. when you point that judgmental finger remember you have 3 of your own fingers pointed back at yourself, take responsibility for your own actions and hold your own. America is sissified!

Kroger poor service!

Only thing changes at this store is the prices go up and the service goes down. I have been shopping at this store for 15 years and I am sorry to say it is now terrible. Many times items that are on sale are out of stock. Then when you talk to management all they do is tell you lies. Even the area manager is rude and no help just like the store managers. Then many of the employees are VERY rude and get upset if you even ask for help! Last week when I did my shopping about 40% of the sales items where out of stock as well as many bare selves. This is more times then not! You have to check your recite as many times they over charge you and do not give you the advertised discounts. Some items they have been out of stock for MONTHS! All they care about is taking your money at the poorest service they can give. If a supper Wal-Mart ever opens on this side of town they will loose much business. Most of my neighbors feel the same.

Kroger - return policy

This is in regards to the kroger return policy and how they administer refunds of any purchases. It is apparent kroger will do whatever it takes to avoid providing you with a refund, if the refund amount is over $10.00. The kroger refund policy, as it appears on their web site, is nothing but a self-serving refund policy designed to defraud customer...

Kroger scam/collusion

The health insurance at Kroger has been set up in such a way that both the insurance company and Kroger's self-insured worker's comp plan are able to deny any and all pain related claims simply by having MED-1000 state that doctor's bills will not be paid because the "accident" was caused by the job at Kroger. After submitting the claim to Kroger HR who never returns phone calls, months later you receive a certified letter stating the claim is denied because you didn't notify your supervisor, you didn't fill out the proper paperwork in a timely fashion and you didn't take a drug test. I am just one of several people who I worked with at Kroger in this situation. We didn't have any accidents of any kind but we all experienced various types of normal, everyday living pain.

I personally asked my immediate supervisor if anybody had experienced the type of pain I was experiencing and was told no. I thought maybe I had arthritis, peripheral artery disease (PAD) or neuropathy and had better go see a Dr. ASAP to try and nip it in the bud. I called the insurance company, MED-1000, to verify I could see the Dr. I wanted to see and was told yes. I asked my supervisor for 3 different days off so I could see the Dr. about my pain and was given the days off. The supervisor never once said I needed to fill out any special worker's comp forms nor did she ask me to take a drug test. Not long after the Dr's. visits, diagnosis and treatment I received statements from MED-1000 denying my claims because they stated, my problem was caused by the job at Kroger. My Dr. didn't know what was causing my problem so I don't know how the insurance company knew. Other co-workers later told me this had happened to them also for different problems like foot and hip pain. None of us had had any accidents and just figured it was age catching up with us. One of my co-workers even asked the store manager for the day off because his foot hurt so much and was told not to come back until he had a Dr's. note. Yet, despite the fact it was the store manager's orders to go to the Dr., his claim was denied.

We were all denied for reasons we couldn't possibly know about from any of the information they supplied at hiring time and were never told when we asked our supervisors/managers. Conveniently for Kroger, it's impossible to file a complaint with the TX Board of Insurance because Kroger is self-insured and the Board has no jurisdiction over self-insured companies. Filing an appeal with Kroger simply gets you more silence for several months and another denial letter with the same contrived claims which had supposedly been reviewed by some TX Kroger board at the Dep. of Labor. If this board in fact asked my former supervisor if I had notified her of my problem and she said no, she is flat out lying as are the supervisors of my former co-workers.

If you're thinking about taking a job a Kroger I recommend that you stay as far away from them as possible. If you're forced by life circumstances to take a job at Kroger, whatever you do, if you experience ANY type of pain make absolutely sure that you notify your supervisor, their manager, the store manager and the president (his email address is on the employee website) in writing before going to the Dr. Demand that they supply you with the necessary paperwork to file with HR and ask if you are required to take a drug test. If they say no, get that in writing AND send a copy to HR and the president. Let's end this scam NOW!

Good grief, your experience sounds EXACTLY like mine! How is something like this legal? Researching this scam I found tons of court dockets with the exact same complaints and the same BS reasons from Kroger as to why they were denying the claims. I also noticed the same two unresponsive, condescending jerks in HR (William Yelderman & Jim Dickinson) are mentioned in many of these court dockets going back at least a decade! The union was ZERO help with this problem and the only thing they ever seemed good for was taking money out of my paycheck. Between the crappy treatment of their employees and the games they play with expiration dates they've lost my families business for a lifetime.

Kroger customers switching the top of the velveeta cheese with kroger cheesy brand

Kraft I wish you could put plastic wrap on your boxes to prevent scammers from switching labels with kroger. I am tried of buying what I think is velveeta cheese only to find out that when I get home its kroger brand which doesn't make good macroni and cheese or chicken and noodles soup. Write now I am extremely upset with both you and kroger. Why don't both companies put protected wrapping around their products.

Kroger wrongful dismissal

My son (a teenager) has a seizure disorder and takes medication to control it. The medication makes him a bit slower than normal. Kroger management (Heath - not sure about a last name) was informed of this when they interviewed and hired him. I was under the impression that Kroger was a good company for kids with disabilities. It is NOT! He was fired today after only one month of employment even though his manager admitted that he has improved his performance since being hired. My son is devastated and I am going to contact the union and an ATTORNEY!

Kroger - employee complaint

I am an employee at Kroger branch 675. I feel as though the courtesy clerks are taken advantage of and paid hardly any respect. I realize the courtesy clerks' job includes more than bagging on the front end. The baggers are the stores custodial staff, the ones who run errands for the managers, the ones who push the buggies in throughout the entire day, and...

Kroger pharmacist named katy

This is regarding something that just happened to me in the pharmacy Kroger store #527 in Bellevue, a suburb of Nashville, TN. I am trying to find the correct person to send it to with the Kroger company, but their "Feedback Form" on their website only holds about half of my complaint and to me the whole story must be told. If anyone has an email address for someone in upper Management for the Pharmacy division I would be most appreciative. Day before yesterday I had asked the pharmacist to order a product for my mother called “Ayr Nasal Gel” because all he had was the Ayr nasal mist/spray. Today I went to pick up the gel and the girl rang it up and I went home and gave it to my Mother, who opened it up and took it out of the box, only to see a nozzle on it, indicating it was the nasal spray. We looked at the box, and it said Nasal Mist-GEL. We went on the website and it turns out there is a nasal Mist, a Nasal MIST GEL, (which we didn’t know about), and a regular Gel (that is what we had wanted). The box itself had a safety seal on it, (not the product, but the box) but Mom had no reason to think it wasn’t the gel, since the pharmacist told us he had ordered the gel and that’s what they handed to me this morning. So I took it back, (this was approximately 12:00 noon today and a Pharmacist named KATY said “You can’t bring it back, the seal is broken”. I said, “Yes, but you gave us the wrong product, you told us this was the gel, and we had no reason to believe it wasn’t the gel, since the pharmacist told us that’s what he was ordering for us.” and she said “Sorry. I can’t take it back. You broke the seal.” I was getting a little irritated because this was clearly the mistake of the Pharmacy, and we were only talking about a seven dollar item, so I said “Sometimes don’t you just have to eat something?” and she walked away from me and said over her shoulder, and quite loudly in front of other customers: “Miss Donahue, as much price-matching as we do for you, we eat plenty.” and that is a DIRECT quote. There were two pharmacy techs working there named James and Beth (Beth was waiting on me) and Beth both looked right at me a bit stunned, like she couldn’t believe Katy had said that either. I have never, ever had a professional say anything so inappropriate to me, let alone in front of other people. I said “That is the policy of Kroger, not my own personal policy!” I was so upset that I told her NOT to reorder the correct gel, that I would order it from a store that could afford it. Yes I take advantage of the price matching service! My husband and I are not insured and we thank God for it every day!
My husband and I have been going to this Kroger for over two years and last year on our last tax return we spent over 5 thousand dollars on the pharmacy alone, that’s not even counting what we spend in groceries. Beth, James and Phyllis are always very nice. Katy and the male pharmacist rarely interact with customers and that’s fine. I was so horrified by this, I went to buy some ice and found myself crying at the checkout. I went back to look at the pictures on the wall because I wanted to get her name. I just could not believe she said that to me! She yelled after me "I'll be glad to order you that gel!" not even GETTING that the Gel wasn't the problem and that she STILL should have refunded my seven dollars! I even called my much-more-level-headed-than-I-husband, to see if I was over-reacting, and he said “No. That was outrageous. Someone you are giving your business to should never have argued with you over seven dollars in the first place. and to say that to you at all, let alone in front of other people, was totally inappropriate.” I’m quite sure the reason she feels she can speak to me like this, is because for several years I had a very severe narcotics addiction. Trust me, I know THE LOOK you get from the Pharmacists as to what a ### you are. I now take Suboxone and have not had a pain pill or the desire for one since January of this year. There is no other reason on earth she would have spoken to me this way. She would have been instantly fired had she said that to anyone else. Her personal opinion of me and what prescriptions I get filled there STILL does NOT give her the right to treat me or anyone else like dirt and say such things to me. In fact I know several folks in the Impaired Pharmacists Program, so there but for the Grace of God goes Katy. My Mother and sister recently lost everything in the Nashville flood this past May, and had to move in with my husband and I, and I have become my Mother’s full time caretaker. I am under more stress than I have ever been under in my life right now, and we are supporting four adults now financially and need the Price-matching program more than ever, as money is really tight. My Mother is having neck surgery and several of her medicines are not covered by her Insurance. And now I don’t feel right going to Kroger for a price match anymore. I am now going to change pharmacies, to change all of her meds, all of mine, my husbands, and my sister’s medicines, which add up to a tremendous amount of work for me getting them all transferred, to a much less convenient location for us, not to mention the loss of business for Kroger. I most certainly do not have time for this right now, and all because of a flippant, sarcastic, inappropriate remark from one of your Pharmacists. She has NO idea what’s going on in my life, in our house, and to comment on our finances, in front of other customers, because of a mistake the store made is just appalling. I know no one gives a damn anymore, I would just feel better if I knew someone in upper management had read this. Can anyone advise me on what to do next? Thanks

Just another customer who expects Pharmacy stafft to kiss her ### just because a gel she ordered wasn't really a gel but a mist-gel. Drug addiction, on Suboxone, 5k on medicaitons and groceries spent on Kroger doesn't give you the right to just put the Pharmacist on severe stress that she had to fight you back just to keep her sanity.
Good riddance to you.

It is regrettable that anyone would be discourteous to a consumer, but in this day and age it is a fact of life. Frankly, I would go back to Katy and apologize for getting so upset with her over something so trivial. I am sure she is under a great deal of stress herself, and the stress you are experiencing over this is taking more than a $7 toll on your life. You might find that it would put your soul at ease and make you appreciate the fact that other people have greater problems and stress than you do. Try to be more thankful for what you have and that you are able to afford the $5K in medication costs you incur annually, because many others are not that fortunate. If you will be so kind as to be Godly enough to forgive Katy and apologize to her, I will be more than happy to send you the $7, and I will even agree to send you an additional $7 for the correct medication, which I am certain Katy will order for you, if you lay this matter to rest. Just post your email so I can contact you, and I will put your check, or money order if you prefer, in the mail. At this juncture, I don't see any other way to resolve this situation, and please remember, that being humble and forgiving is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength.

Kroger out of date - over charge-and poor customer service

I have shopped here since it opened. And have had so many over priced, out of dates, and miss labled products. I am well known and disliked because I bring to thier attention! I began to look for these things, a customer advocate. Many times I have gotten hundreds of dollars in free groceries. But my time and frustration has not been worth the effort. They accualy have called the police on me. I don't want to write much more. It's my time i'm taking up since i'm 60 years old and disabled with not much time left. I have watched this company go down like many other things in this community because we do not work together as a community. Untill it effects us directly. I still have choices thank god. And I am going to exercise mine. I will not support this company and will continue to report unjust practices to proper govnerment offices. I don't know that that will have much effect either. So i'll pray ! Kroger you should be ashamed after taking the kinds of proffits from loyal hard working americans! You will not get any more of me or my famalies money untill you change your customer service practice.

Kroger rude

I have many choices for where I buy my groceries and household items and I always chose krogers. I am a mother of 3 and my husband is retired from the army serving two tours in iraq where he was seriously injured. I work for a retail company where customer service is always the first priority. The customer is is the foundation for any company to become and stay a success because they will be your ultimate source for advertising, your walking billboard. I see many faces throughout the day who I tell some of the most private things to because I know without these clients customers I don't have a business or job. I would always refer people to kroger for everything. Me as a customer for kroger, your base customer the mother of three am now going to advertise your company as insensitive, degrading, and a recommendation to avoid. As I said previously my husband is a disabled veteran thus being said we have government assistance in the form of wic for baby formula. We don't receive a food card I spend an addition 800.00 a month on average on groceries at kroger. I went to kroger and had to buy my formula and was rang out by a young girl who was being trained by another lady who I well know because of her rudeness to me each and every time I go through her line. She is the ideal picture for someone who shouldn't work in customer service in any way. Her in itself is a plague on your eastgate kroger. She grabbed the cans of formula from the cashier and said "you cant get those. They are not the same ounces as read on the coupon. " becuase similac repackaged their cans the ounces are less than what are listed on the coupon. I explained this to her and told her I got the same cans there a week before. She went to find a manger which she couldn't and came back and said "you cant get them". I asked her to try to find me an alternative formula because they have been repackaged and she responded by telling me I could "call the wic office in the morning". I don't know if she realized I spend so much a month their and not including formula it my money. I explained to her I had to work in the morning and responded by saying "they are open 5 days a week". Which again I work. I told her that I was going to just go to walmart or meijers and she said "ok". When I said that I not only meant I would go to those stores for my formula but I would also take my average of 800.00 a month with me, tell every customer I see come through my counter, twitter it, blog it, put it on my facebook, tell other families of disabled veterans, tell the cashiers at competing stores so they can share the story, and write you this very letter. I don't know how much impact I can make in my small area of the country, but where my voice can be heard, my story will be told. I know there are rules and regulations that your company has to follow for wic but as an employee amber from eastgate krogers failed you as a company and me as a once loyal customer. She is rude to me each and every time I go into the store.

It seems as though "stealth-pilot" works for Krogers (manager of the Rude Cashier). As for the orginal complaint, no one is saying the out come was not correct. The lady was talking about rude service, how can you "stealth-pilot" claim she was not, was you there? It seems as though you have a big chip on your shoulder my friend, for someone who is pleasant and friendly right! As for the complaint, if the laday would of had better manners or have been more proffessional Krogers would not of lossed a valued customer. It seems as though you also think Krog customers are wrong everytime that something unpleasant happens. Are you to have everyone here believe that Krogers is unfalliable in regards to policy and warranty issues, training ect... I too have noticed a trend in Customer Service skills decline over the past few years with this company and others. Maybe you "Stealth-Poo" and the Rude cashier are not cut out in handeling valued costumers issues, questions and concerns. I do not blame you though, as i come across many individuals who have no social skills either and they just can't help it. However, you are right in your vry own comments though, you should not be dealing with people at all, as you claim they are the problem with everything that goes wrong, it's not Krogers, yours or anyone else's fault. Listen buddy, You are what is wrong with the world and society today. Krogers corp better get a handle on their declining customer service soon or they will go out of business ... Before i go, let me leave you with this, The Customer is Always Right...

well thanks for explaining that but again I was telling my bad experience at Kroger and it had nothing to do with WIC. And in my experience usualy if its just one person telling you that you have a bad attitude it may just be them, but when most people from a website ared tellin gyou that maybe you should re-evaluate your personality and not be offended when others point it out to you, just be aware and work on it.

Kroger the way I was treated there made me not want to ever return

The way I was treated there made me not want to ever return. The workers always mocked me times Id go there just to pick up my medicines as prescribed. "Hes a ###." would be the usual comment from a dummy married women working there. How ridiculous over going there for prescriptions only to be called names. They should all be fired, even the pharmacist in charge for allowing such stupidity go on.

Kroger pharmacy

Why are the people in the Pharmacy so dense that they cannot understand when you pay for your prescription (before you get yor medicine) your expenditure should count on your rewards points it is money you spent. Just because your a Senior Citizen does not mean your money doesn't count. It is even more inportant that it should count. Senior citizens are on a fixed income, besides the majority doesnp't recieve welfare, They have worked and paid in to Medicare taxes, now that they ahve retired they get Medicare, which is why it was taxed. It is not something that the Goverment is giving them, they paid for it and are suppose to recieve it. But shen you pay to get your prescription, that money should qualify for Rewar points.

My sister is a pharmacist at Kroger. It seems the Kroger phamacys are under going a software change to their computers and everything is new. Not only new, but out dated, slow and cumbursome. Even if you have the best knowledge of the system it still is setting the pharmacy's back light years... My sister can fill an rx at her ndc store with the usual wait time of 30 mins. i think her store does about 700 rx's per day. That is a good wait time.. I just read on Kroger's complaint page of the wait of 2 and 1/2 hours for an rx.. That is sooo sadd...Its because of this new eprn system that sucks for busy stores. Its appsolutley the worst SETBACK KROGER WILL EVER SEE.. I am in the busiest pharmacy the company, and all those around us, i have yet to hear a possitive comment on the eprn system.. Pharmacys shut the gates for 2 hours to catch up, and stay 2 hours past closing to catch up.. Double the staff which adds hours to payroll, triple patients wait times. I ask you what is the advantages to the eprn system?

I work at a pharmacy in Ohio. It is against the law to offer patients any kind of reward for a prescription that is government funded. It is looked at as an effort to entice people, and in a way limit their choices, in an effort to collect government funds. It is considered fraud and a pharmacy could get into a lot of trouble.
I do sympathize with patients on this, especially those on Medicare plans that are paying premiums. However it is disheartening how many will not listen when you try to explain this and take it out on you personally for something you have no control over.

I too believe it has been downhill for 2 years. The system was slow to begin with so its only going to get worse. I have seen it do things that are outright illegal like allow a refill on a controlled substance when there were no more refills. It takes about 40 steps to fill an rx and 20 are unneccessary. Most of the extra steps are so Kroger can figure who to blame if something gets filled wrong. Its all about liability with this piece of garbage. It takes over 30 seconds to print an rx image. It freezes constantly. It takes 5 minutes or longer to download a patient from another store. Sometimes when filling a prescription from another store it assigns the other store's rx number to your rx which means that it doesn't have a number that corresponds with your stores files. I agree that it is the rate limiting step. we are efficient, EPRN is far from it. for those who say it is just as fast as previous systems I beg to differ. Chain wide avg rx fill time is around 17 minutes. I could fill an rx in 4 minutes with previous system. I am at over 12 with this. Its not just about the time it is the sheer number of extra steps required. All the updates have not fixed most of the problems and they have been working on them for 3 years. It just goes to show that you can't polish a turd.

My pharmacy went live 2 years ago. It's been downhill ever sense. Extreme slowness, 45 to 90 sec for the hour glass to go away, system locking up, freezing screens, it's a nightmare. You could probably go to the restroom and get coffee and hope the screen will refresh when you get back. The system is our rate limiting step. It's an albatross around our neck….and yet management doesn't understand why were not more efficient.

I don't work for Kroger, but I wouldn't be surprised if prescriptions don't count toward "rewards". A lot of times, it's against state law to get rewards points or coupons or anything like that with prescriptions.

So it may be company policy.

yes, pharmacies do experience growing pains with the new system. especially those pharmacies that are busy pharmacies. after 2 months, most pharmacies are back to running at normal wait times. those that are still struggling after 2 months need to look at things other than the system to point fingers at. pharmacies from the slowest to the busiest are all comfortable with the system after 8 weeks.

the advantages are as follows: all kroger owned companies are now connected. if you get medicine at a ralphs in california and you go to get a refill at Kroger in Ohio, all your info is readily available with the push of a button. less paper trails for everything from signature capture to partial fills. windows based operating system with infinite possibilities for additional features in the future. easier tracking of wait times and prioritizing. the list goes on and on. the "NDC" system is like using atari instead of a play station 3. it might be easier b/c you are more comfortable with the atari, but take the time to learn the ps3 and you will see it is worth the time.

maybe you just need to visit some stores where the new system actually "works" and people know what they are doing b/c they have done the training properly? feel free to drop by and visit my pharmacy anytime.

Kroger rude alcohol sales

I often car pool with people from work. Well one day we stop at the local kroger and we all get our own purchases to pay for seperately. Well clearly we all were well over 21 and purchasing for our items with seperate transactions. Well the person after me was purchasing alcohol. The cashier demanded to see my i. D for there alcohol. Now keep in mind I had already paid for my grocery items. The cashier got a attitude with me and said if I didn't show him my i. D for some one elses beer transaction he would call the manager and not sell to the other person. Well even after the other party showed there i. D and I refused to show mine because I was done with my purchases, and not to mention I am old enought to be the cashiers mother. Well I ended up having to leave the store, and they sold the other person the alcohol. I felt bullied and treated unfairly, is this even a kroger policy? It makes no sense, seperate adults, seperate transactions! I will never go there again!

This is not right and just a way to take more and more of our rights away. I was in a simalar situation with my nephew who was 14 at the time. If you support this in any way then you should get rid of all your firearms and never be allowed to read the newspaper. This is all that this is leading up too. We might as well be living in china.

I'm from Texas as well, and you should know they are strict on alcohol sales. Why do you have to throw a fit in the middle of the store cause your too lazy to get your I.d. the cashier was probably new so was going by all procedures. Plus, many people who are way older then 21 most of the time like getting Id.

It's law in some places to check the IDs of everyone who is obviously together. Despite the fact that you had separate transactions, if it was obvious that you were together, they are supposed to check everyone's IDs. This is in an effort to keep an adult from buying alcohol for a bunch of minors.

Kroger spoiled milk in spring dale bottles

I reported an incident of spoiled milk in springdale milk bottles due to which my 3 kids were extremely ill at the kroger store located on westheimer parkway katy tx. Springdale is a product of kroger.
My complaint was ignored by the manager inspite of the fact that I gave him the proof of my complaint. His behavior was extremely discreminating. The kroger staff and customers are mostly white people and the staff talks to blacks especially asians quite disdainfully. I think it is their store policy to discourage and make fun of blacks and indians.
When I reported the above mentioned incidence of spoiled milk and my kids falling ill because of it, instead of showing some concern their remarks and behavior was mocking.
They have been disrespectful and rude to me and my husband on other occasions as well but this was the height of it.
I think kroger stores should put a sign outside their stores saying blacks keep out
