I worked for Kmart for 33 years and after a serious accident where I was forced to retire, I applied for my pension. I have received 2 sets of paperwork at 2 separate addresses, showing incomplete information. I sent the final completed copies in mid-September and called again in October to verify that my pension was being processed. I was told that my pension check would be processed 45 days from the date of my last completed documents and the calculated date was for November 19, 2012. The person on the phone verified that everything was completed. I called on November 20, 2012 to ask why my check wasn't deposited and was given a new story. They claim that the final paperwork wasn't received until late October which would be a lie. After being persistent in asking for a date of when I would get my check, she finally said 'probably after January 1st because the last useless representative claims I didn't send the final paperwork until the late October date. I have had to delay payments for a hospital bill because of Kmart's lies to me and of course the hospital put me in the credit bureau because they don't believe me anymore. I asked to speak to someone hire up and was transferred reluctantly. I don't expect to get a call back. I have searched the Kmart/Sears website to see if I can send an email or make a call but there is no contact information. I tried their feedback option but it is only for merchandise or stores. I tried their 'help' but it only provides a blank page. Is there a chance that I am not going to get the pension I worked for? i defended Kmart for many years out of loyalty but not anymore and I will never shop there out of loyalty again either.

We also called [protected] and got good news, we were in the 2nd batch, paperwork due on the 16th and our check was mailed on Dec 11th! We also got exact amount too!
good news, they were actually able to give more info today, they even had amount after 20% witheld...I am the last date in novemeber (nov 19th reutrn date) and my check is going today and dated today...call [protected]...they can give more specific info today

thats a good sign that they did start mailing. Probably the first batch. Just hope it true:):)

I got someone else today that said they did start mailing last night (12/12) unforunately my check was in payroll, but not even cut yet. This person said expect in about 8-10 days, but than again Soooo many stories by Soooooo many different people...so I am not holding my breath thinking it will be before XMas-if anyone gets the check, please post and give the rest of us some hope
no one knows...I guess we'll just have to wai and see when it arrives. I was hoping for Christmas too...but doesn't look promising. My paperwork was due on 11/16, I sent in right away by certified mail and recieved responseconfirmation letter by Nov 1 stating it would be in Dec. Oringal paperwork said it would be around Dec 12, in my case.
why do you think a poster here said they called and was told all check batches will be out by Dec 17? I am with you. Not planning to see anything before Christmas. Cant get dissapointed then!
Actually none of the call center employees give the same answer. My paperwork was do November 9 and I have called both numbers and get told something different every time I have called. First they said the checks would be received by December 17th. Now they are saying none of them have been mailed as of today about an hour ago. So there really is no for sure answer other then the end of December.
I agree @Waiting. When I called there was a message that if the paperwork was due in November, we should receive the check by the end of December. I did check USPS - there is not a delivery time calculation tool that I could find, only the statement for 2-3 days delivery time for 1st class.
Ok - let me get this straight since I had a hard time reading some of the postings. The day your check will be mailed will be based upon when your paperwork was due. For example, my paperwork was due by Nov. 16th, so my check will be mailed Dec. 14th? Hope this is true!
I know, thanks for trying to make me feel better...but with the holidays USPS is not the most reliable, just wish they had sent for us all to receive on the 17th as one of the stories they told us...the mailing in the beg of dec would have been nice time

All I called the new number posted and now I'm really upset. My check hasn't even been mailed yet. Se said I could call in one or two days end see if the status has changed. Bt for now no check.

my due date was nov 19th for paperwork...if you were sooner, you may get lucky...i had the last of the November dates
