KittyBabies.net Beware! This is a kitten mill selling sick kittens

#1. They are selling sick kittens with the herpes virus.

#2. They show you a picture of a Himalayan kitten that you would want and then send you an entirely different kitten who arrives sickly. Classic "Bait and Switch"

#3. Their website is full of inaccuracies to the point that you don't know what is actually true.

I would avoid these people as the sheer number of kittens they are releasing into the world and the poor condition of same places

them squarely in the Kitten Mill category. Communication with them is non-existent.

If you enjoy the mystery of purchasing what you think is a Himalayan Kitten and the receiving a kitten of an entirely different bloodline - then this is the site for you. If you enjoy paying hundreds of dollars to rescue a kitten - then this is the site for you. If you enjoy not knowing what health problems are likely to crop up in the future with you new kitten - then this is site for you.

If you are going to buy a kitten from these people then I wish you good luck because you're going to need it.

I bought a kitten from Kittybabies in August of 2015 after losing my 17 year old cat to liver cancer. I have a young daughter who had grown up with and was devastated at the loss of our cat which I explained to Tatta. We became very quickly attached to the new kitten, Baylor, but within a few weeks, our vet told us he was anemic and to contact the breeder to inquire about issues. Tatta admitted he had fleas in her home which could have accounted for the anemia. Fairly shortly after that, she quit answering texts when I originally thought she wanted to stay informed about her kittens' new homes. Baylor showed serious signs of illness by October of this year. We took him to 2 different vets trying to save him. We were told he was still anemic and now running a temperature. I contacted Tatta and assured her I was not looking for any money back and just wanted to save Baylor with any information she might have to help. I practically begged for information, and I specifically asked about FIP. She said her adults tested negative for the coronavirus. Baylor died October 24 of FIP. We lost 2 cats within just over a year of one another, and it was absolutely devastating AND involved the heartbreak of a young girl. We have $2100 in vet bills now. It is mind-boggling to me that several others have lost cats from Tatta to FIP far prior to Baylor's death, that I asked specifically about FIP and the coronavirus, and that she did not supply any of that information and stated that her adults had tested negative for the coronavirus. Unethical is the first word that comes to mind, but mean spirited follows closely behind because, if we had known there were issues with the coronavirus in her cattery, we would have chosen to euthanize Baylor (knowing what was likely wrong) before he got as cripplingly sick as he did - when we knew for sure he wouldn't survive but were not certain it was FIP until after his tissue could be tested following his death. A little honesty and humanity could've saved our sweet cat his worst days of suffering as well as our family and young daughter the agony of losing Baylor in the horrifying state he was in at his end. I understand there is always risk, but it seems clear she tried to explain away initial problems with fleas (which the cats should not have) and then refused truthful information that could have spared some degree of pain. We are very sad and disappointed, and we miss our furry friend.
Beware of this breeder.

I bought two kittens from Tattia. Which are both healthy. I also gave her money for breeding rights which was dumb. I have never revived papers from her. Now I email and call and get now answer. Did any of you get papers for your cats?

Those poor cats deserve better than that! Our adult cat still gets eye infections from the herpes virus our kitten from Tatta gave him. I was a naive, first time kitten buyer who trusted her when she said her cattery was FelV negative. Thank heavens our adult Himmy only got the herpes from the little guy. I can't imagine if he had gotten the leukemia as well. We have a new kitten from a reputable breeder now and looking back at pictures of our kitten from Tatta, he looked sick from day one.

I too was a victim of Tatta and her scam, bait and switch. I was travelling 750 miles to get a kitten, hotel reservations made, vacation days in place and deposit sent. The day before we were supposed to leave, she messaged me and cancelled. Said her partner/room mate did not take care of her cats during her absence. She said all of her cats were sick. Unfortunately she would not refund my deposit. She said she deserved it for all the time she spent messaging me. She was charging me to have this kitten tested. Who knows if the pictures I saw of the kitten really existed with her, or if it was someone else's picture. I believe it was all lies. People beware. She is not a professional breeder. Run don't walk away!

As someone going into veterinary practice, I can tell you that FIP is very difficult to diagnose. Often because symptoms can be very vague until the end. And unless there is a history of it or symptoms, many will not do so in a random health screening before rehoming. So this can be seen as not entirely Tatta's fault or her vets. FIP is very unfortunate and my heart breaks for the people who's cats had this. But, because it is so difficult to diagnose, it may be an "educated guess." Or often vets will say that they feel it could have been FIP but never really say for sure. FIP is also contagious. So it is ideal to let the cattery know they have a problem so they can quarantine and check the other kitties for it, as well. I know Tatta loves her cats. My Phoebe is 9 years old now and has always been very healthy. She is joyful and sweet and still acts like a kitten. Tatta does a good job handling her kitties as much as possible to make them as personable and loveable as possible. It is heartbreaking for her, I am sure to hear this news. I can also tell you that people running catteries do not make a lot of money. In fact, they spend way more than they make caring for their cats and kittens. And family issues on top of that. It can be very overwhelming. I am not making excuses for her or undermining the complaining parties heartbreak at all. I pray they can find some peace and a new fur baby to love. And as for Tatta, my experience with her was a positive one and continues to be.

I can say first hand that contacting you got me no where. You still refuse to refund my money after our kitten died from leukemia and a congenital hernia that allowed his organs to crowd his heart. My kids endured 6 months of a sick kitten and the heart break of losing him because of your "closed cattery" practices. Inbreeding and leukemia, apparently FIP as well as evidenced by at least 2 previous posters. Close up shop, your cats deserve better than this. Stop breeding those poor cats.

my husband bought me a kitten from tatta, the day we picked him up at the airport i knew he was sick! we called her and she said he would be fine just run the vaporizer for a few days. about a week later he wasnt getting ant better so we took him to the vet. the vet informed us that the kitten was very ill and had FIP i was so angry i had become so attached to the little guy and was going to do everything i could to get him well. need less to say he passed away there is no cure for FIP! This lady tatta would not call us back after we snt her the vet paper work she requested. what a heartless piece of work she is! also her vet should be shut down for saying these kittens are in good health! they dont get FIP within a week! what goes around comes around! I personally hope she has a suffering death just like my little Thoran did! There is a place in HELL for people like this!

I bought two Himalayan kittens from Tatta almost 5 years ago and would like to give an honest review of my experience sharing the good and the not so good. Overall, so far everything has gone pretty well. I too was skeptical at first, but she followed through and delivered the kittens as promised. Unlike one of the stories above, they were the same exact kittens on the website. When they arrived, they were sneezing, but quickly got over it. The female had to be on medication for a short period after because she had diarrhea, but quickly got over that as well. I also wanted to mention that their eyes do not leak. When I contacted Tatta afterward to ask a few questions she was slow to respond and finally stopped responding all together. I thought that maybe we could have a long-term "cat relationship" and thought she might be interested in how the cats turned out over the years, but she doesn't seem to be. The male cat seems to be prone to having some sort of issue at least once a year, while the female rarely has any issues. The male also has an auto immune disease called Eosinophilic Granuloma where his bottom lip swells up for a couple months at a time about once a year but eventually goes away on its own.

It disturbed me to read that people have had issues with their kittens and I am very sorry to hear your stories. I'm not sure if its a situation where if they make it past a certain point/age they will be fine, breeding issues, or genetics.

Now with the good. They are the most loving, playful, cats, with the best personalities I have ever experienced. Yes they shed a lot of hair, but they are so worth it. They follow me everywhere and love to be with people (except strangers, but they do eventually warm up). It would completely break my heart if anything happened to either of them prematurely because they act like human beings and are so much a part of the family (unlike other cats from my childhood).

Should you buy a kitten from Tatta? I cannot answer that question, I feel that it is a risk no matter where you go. However, f something is not up to par with the breeding, housing, or health of the kittens, it needs to be addressed.

We have a 4 month old blue Lynx point from her that has been diagnosed with leukemia. He has been sick with herpes since a week after we brought him home. There has not been one day that he hasn't been on medication. Her website is down but she is still selling as Angelbabies on Facebook. She is ignoring my requests for a refund. How sad to find out I'm certainly not the first one. :(. I have a good lawyer and a huge stack of vet bills. She won't be taking us for a ride as well.
