KitchenAid kitchenaid architect multipurpose blade

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the Small Parts Department/Warehouse communication. On December 22/17 I ordered a replacement multipurpose blade for a Kitchen Aid Architect Food Processor. I was told the shipment would be delayed as the part was out of stock. I received an egg whip in the mail Jan. 20/17. I understand that mistakes can happen and the wrong part can be picked. I then called to notify and ask that the correct part be mailed out. I waited a few more weeks and still no replacement part arrived. On March 1/17, I called again and was told that they had forgotten to fill out the part number on the form and this was why I hadn't received anything (good thing I called to check). On March 7/17, I received 2 more egg whips. I once again spent time on the phone with the Small Parts Department. At this point I asked if I could be reimbursed for my payment. However, I was told that I could not be reimbursed because it was beyond 30 days since the payment was made. What troubles me is the fact that had I asked for reimbursement earlier than I would have received it. However I have been patient and thought I would give the opportunity to correct the issue and now I can't receive my money back. This product was ordered for business use and thus I have had to purchase an alternative food processor to tie us over so our residents requiring pureed diets can receive the proper consistency. This has been a major inconvenience and makes me question the services Kitchen Aid offers.

KitchenAid rebate on ksm150ps mixer

Submitted a timely submission for a rebate on 1/17/2017 that had to be post marked by 1/23/2017. I received a notification on 2/17/2017 that my submission was received without a legible post mark by the postal service. The form requested that I submit missing information on or before March 12, 2017 with the postcard. I am unable to provide a copy of a post mark to prove that I mailed the letter on 1/17/2017 so I called the rebate customer service to dispute the issue. They stated that my rebate was received on 1/26/2017 and that there is nothing I can do about it because there was nothing that proved that I mailed it timely. Too bad your customer care people in your rebate office don't care that I will never buy another KitchenAid small appliance, that I will definitely complain to Williams Sonoma about your company along with anyone else I can speak to. Glad you all saved $50.00 bucks.

KitchenAid $50 rebate offer # 692-537 for stand mixer not valid

I purchased a Kitchen Aid stand mixer during black friday week 2016 from Kohl's with a $50 rebate. That same week I mailed in all the appropriate paperwork/ UPC code to Kitchen Aid. 11wks later I had not received a rebate, so I looked up online the status of my rebate. It showed non-compliance mailed. It shows the date of 11/30/16 received and that they supposedly sent me a letter on 12/13/16, which I never received. I called to inquire about it and was told it did not contain a postmark date. But lets remember they did admit to receiving it which means it had to have had a postmark. The customer representatives words were " it has happened to 40, 000 other people too, blame the Post Office". He was very rude. I think they have poor business practices and are scamming the public into purchasing their products with promise of big rebates. I see where there are numerous complaints online with similar complaints.

I too just received my denial and called the number. They said there was nothing they could do for me, that there was no postmark date on my envelope and that they did not receive it till the 30th. I sent my rebate on the 22nd and this seems very fishy to me that something that requires a postmark and is close to the rebate expiration gets turned down. Do you really think I would have bothered sending it if it was after that date? Plus, we have to send 3 types of information proving our purchase. How about sending me a picture of my envelope that supposedly has no postmark date! I buy a lot of Kitchen aid things for gifts and myself, this was a gift and I would not have purchased it without the rebate. I will no longer purchase Kitchen aid and I will spread the word of this scam.

Same exact problem! Show they received my items on 1/14 but deemed non-compliant on 1/19 due to "The request did not contain a postmark date or it was illegible". I'm sorry...you got it before the cutoff date so what the heck does it matter! This is a crock and a rip-off.

I called the number just now. She said she manually processed it and I should get my rebate within 30 days. Apparently you have to call the number. Still a crock.

So I DID get the little post card and it tells me to submit missing/valid items to the address at the top of this card before March 4. How in the world am I supposed to submit a postmark date?

The website shows the paperwork was received on January 11 which was well before the cutoff of 1/23. It was apparently deemed non-compliant on 1/19 then they show they mailed my "non-compliant" notice on 2/2.

This is a crock. There has got to be something we can do about this...40, 000 people? That is a whopping $2 MILLION scam. My postcard is from Kitchenaid themselves, but my purchase was from Kohl's also...

KitchenAid ksdg950ess0

The control panel got fried only two days after the warranty expired! I am told a replacement will cost $460. The knobs wull turn is you so much as brush up against them an it will start leaking gas. I've come downstairs in the morning twice now to a kitchen reeking of gas. I've heard both of these issues are widespread with KitchenAid ovens and would strongly recommend steering clear. they are unreliable, not to mention extremely dangerous

KitchenAid superb built-in electric convection oven, model # keb107sss04

This is a self-cleaning oven(serial # D11061643) installed in 2011. The oven had been used several times over the past five years, but the self-cleaning function had not been utilized until this year. Using the self-cleaning function for the first and only time resulted in melting of a part of the latch system. The entire latch system had to be replaced at a cost of $250.00.

It would be proper for KithenAid to cover the cost of the repair since it is obviously due to a defective part.

This product was registered with KithenAid by card 5/29/11

If you buy a KitchenAid oven be sure to use the self-cleaning function while it is still under warranty.

KitchenAid the racks are total garbage, fell apart twice in 5 years each time costing @400$

The washer works well. The problem is the racks. They fall apart easily and are very costly to repair. re 400-500 dollars twice in five years. All the little bits fall off constantly hit the element and burn. The adjusters for the top rack are very poorly made and are quickly useless. The wheels are the first thing to go. I asked KA if I can buy new racks with all the bits attached so I can just start over, and they said no! Had to buy all the bits and pieces and yes get the tech guy in to assemble starting at about 300-400 to complete the job. NIce really nice so they have you anyway you turn. My mother has a dishwasher from 1972 albeit harvest gold works like a charm and always has. I think the whole industry is designed now to produce garbage so we have to keep on buying! Well I will avoid Kitchenaid for any new purchase. complaint # with Kitchenaid; [protected] B.Power

KitchenAid attachment gear artisan mixer

4/8/16 While running the kitchenaide with the meat grinder attachment the gear locked up, made loud sounds. I stopped what I was doing and cleaned out the attachment and tried running with the same result. My husband opened up the housing and discovered the gear was not lubed. There is a 1/2 cup or more of grease inside the housing but none on this gear so it had been running metal on metal. Assembled with out making sure grease got in the gear. I would like a new housing and gear free of charge. There were no instructions that you need to occasionally lube the gear. We had just gotten this attachment but the machine was never quiet. It is a lot quieter now, once this gear was removed, it runs fine now. is it ok to run with out the gear numbered 970-5130 ? if so i just wont use attachments. [protected]@yahoo.com CiCi

Bought this mixer largely due to the $50 rebate. I submitted all of the info I thought was required prior to the program expiration date. Yesterday, on Feb 29, I received a post card from Kitchenaid in the mail stating that I did not include the UPC code, though there is noting on the box that identifies that particular barcode as the UPC, and the portion...

KitchenAid artisan mixer

I, like others, bought a mixer with $50 rebate. I sent in the form, a cutout of the UPC showing product I bought and mailed it in. They let me know weeks later I needed to cut more of the UPC piece - not just the bar code and UPC code. The item was a wedding gift and I doubt the recipient has the outer box any more - what a scam. I spoke with a manager and said obviously I did as told and bought the item - they had the cardboard cutout of the model and I had provided the register receipt and form as needed, proving I did buy it in the date. But their scam is that they find a reason, no matter how small, to deny the rebate and then you don't get the rebate and there is little recourse. Don't buy KitchenAide - they are not a reputable company!

KitchenAid kitchenaid stand mixers

For over 10 years I used a KichenAid 5 qt. Artisan Stand Mixer and never had any problems. In January 2015 I decided to replace my mixer with a newer and larger model (KitchenAid 6 qt Professional 600 series). After about three month (used about 5-6 times) the motor started to make awful noises. I calles the customer service and they replaced the mixer. A few month later the motor of the replacement mixer started to smell real bad and the motor was real loud. Once again the mixer was only used maybe twice a month. At this point I was already really uncomfortable with having to call customer service again. I called customer service and was interogated ..."how many cups of flower do you use when you make bread and at what speed do you beat you bread etc." Eventually the agreed to replace the mixer. I have made the same bread with my old mixer for over 10 years and never had any problems and so I thought that maybe their new junk mixers could't handle. bread dough. For this reason I asked the customer service person if I could upgrade the replacement mixer for a more powerfull model. They agreed and I paid over $120 more to get a Pro Line 7qt. So now I spend well over $500 for a mixer. If it wasn't for the fact that I have several hundreds of dollars worth of attachments like the meat grinder I would have asked for my money back after the first replacement. Well, the story is not over yet. Yesterday I used my Pro Line Mixer for maybe the fourth time and it quit working. According to my husband it sounds and acts like a gear broke. Right now I am having actually heartburn knowing that I have to call them again and they (customer service) will interogate me on how I use and will try to make it sound like it is my fault because I don' t know what I am doing.

KitchenAid french door refrigerator

We purchased this unit in Sept. 2012. In February of 2015, the evaporator coils went out in the middle of a snowstorm. We do not have a second refrigerator so stored what food we had (most was spoiled) in a cooler outside in the snow. In October of 2015, the ice maker stopped working and the water dispenser started leaking. 6 trips by the repair tech and 3 water valves later, there is no change. We still do not have ice and it leaks. We have now had the cold water turned off in the kitchen for 2 months. The repair tech from the company we purchased it from is out of ideas. I posted a complaint on the Kitchenaid FB page and was told to email them the specifics (model, serial # etc.) I did that last week and have not heard one word. I want my money back. In full. We should not have to operate in our kitchen with only hot water. Not to mention it is three days before Christmas. Thank you for your prompt response to my complaint.

KitchenAid kgrs505x

We were very excited to purchase a new range for our home during our kitchen makeover thinking we were buying the best product available. We chose this range because the upper oven is convenient as we are an older couple. We have since been very unhappy with this product. We purchased the oven from Sears Cross County Pkwy in Yonkers, NY on August, 2011. About 1.5 years later the B burner vail required replacement. I called and spoke to several technicians and went through the blueprints online as we tried to determine the part that needed to be replaced. This took a significant amount of time/energy from both the customer service dept. and myself. Then my husband had to purchase the item locally which cost $101.29. Now, this week the D burner vail (which I could probably count the number of times it was even used) needs to be replaced as well. This will be another $100 cost. It seems these burner vails are faulty and expensive to replace. I do not use all of the burners therefore, they should not break. In addition, there appears to be a streak trapped between the panes of glass on the door so I cannot properly clean the oven door. I do not plan on purchasing Kitchen Aid appliances in the future or recommending them to others. It is unfortunate, as this was not an inexpensive oven from the start and to add $200. charges for parts barely utilized is unfair to the consumer. The costs would have been even higher for labor but my husband did the repairs. When I purchase my next home I will look for a much better product. Since I anticipate other burner vails will break as well, I would appreciate you sending me 2 burner vails at no cost. This oven has been costly enough. From unsatisfied consumers.

KitchenAid fridge has been noisy like a military heavy tank

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Our KitchenAid refrigerator model KFIS29PBMS, serial # K42903722 which I bought in November 2014 has been serviced almost 8 - 10 times in the last 10 months. Now, for weeks, it runs and sounds like a military heavy tank. It sounds like an super old fan or a motor inside got broken or misaligned.

Please give me an exception or a big refund so we can haul this out of our home before my wife and my kids "kill" me. Thanks a million.

Sincerely,

KitchenAid white powder in ice maker

I purchased a Kitchen Aid refrigerator. I could never get the ice maker out. Later found out it was stuck shut. At about 11 months I notices residue on the bottom of my glass after my drink sat. The volume of the powdery substance was quite substantial and noticeable. I really worked on the ice maker and forced it open. There was a pile of white powder inside the ice maker and on the sides of the interior. I cleaned it thoroughly removing all white power and thought the problem was solved. They just forgot to clean it before shipping it. After cleaning it the water/ice was clear. Within 3 months I noticed the white powder was back in my drinks. I can't believe how much of this powder I must have ingested. I called Kitchen Aid. Sorry you are out of warranty. I suggested they come out and get a sample of this white powder and identify it as harmless or toxic. If not for me then other who may have not noticed it. Sorry your out of warranty. Can I send you a sample of this powder and you can tell me what it is and if it is normal to be in my drinks. No. CAUTION ! LOOK in the bottom of your glass after the ice has melted. Don't let your children drink this substance. Write me if you have had similar experience. [protected]@hotmail.com

KitchenAid rebate policy

I purchased a Kitchenaid Pro 600 Mixer from an online vendor, after reading a Kitchenaid advertisement for a $50 Rebate for this model. Since I was purchasing the correct model from an "approved" source (i.e. not a store listed as unapproved, online auction, etc.) and I had proof of purchase, plus the serial number, I went ahead and made the purchase.

However, since this is a gift for a bride who lives across the country. I had the mixer shipped directly to her. Now, in reading the "fine print" on the rebate rules, I realize that I not only need a UPC code -in addition to receipt, serial number and name of store where I purchased it- I must have the "original" UPC code -"cut from the box"! Yes, apparently, there is no way to have this sent as a gift to a bride and receive the rebate, even though I've purchased a brand new, several-hundred dollar mixer from a company such as Kitchenaid.

It's hard to believe that Kitchenaid would do this, knowing that many, many of these mixers will be purchased as wedding gifts in this upcoming wedding season and not make it more clear that there is no way to receive this rebate in those circumstances. This is pathetic for a company such as Kitchenaid. I had intended to purchase one for myself, but am looking to alternatives now. I can't support a company with such terrible and misleading policies.

Believe kitchenaid rebates are scams
Pittsburgh, US
Jul 02, 2015 9:33 pm EDT

It would not make a difference if you had the original UPC. I sent in everything as requested and received a post card saying the UPC was missing. Wrote back saying I sent everything in and if they did not have the UPC it was because they lost it. I had made copies of everything, They told me to write to a particular department because the one I had written to takes too long (although that is who they told me to write to). So after not hearing from them for at least a month, my son called and they told him to have me fax everything over to them. I stupidly did this at a cost of $7.80. Weeks went by and I called again and was told that the offer had expired. I have read so many similar cases that I feel sure that they scam everyone. Something should be done about this but I don't know how to proceed.

KitchenAid bad product/bad service

Installed Microwave/Convection oven and found that steam causes door to completely fog, sometimes for 24-30 hours. After service call, received authorization for product exchange. After no response from Product Exchange department (6 weeks after service call) found that the exchange was denied by them and decision final because steaming of door is considered a normal part of operation - no disagreement there - but the fact that it steams and does not clear for such a long time does not seem correct. However, they refused to take into consideration the length of time door is fog - seal could be faulty! and have left me with a product that I consider defective. Seems like a bad decision since this is a $500 item that can easily be replaced. Every bit of interaction with the service side of the company has been difficult and/or almost non-existent. Do not recommend KitchenAid products based on this experience.
