I was telephoned by KBK Infotech today (Tue 11 Dec 12), their third attempt in the past ten days or so to talk to me. I've had similar calls and read of the scam in the past. So, today I had the time to "respond" on my terms. Both the operative and his "manager" had names one might not associate with their strong Asian accents - Ralph Gordon (Employee number 132, he said, in an effort to persuade me I did not need to take further notes as to who his employer was) and Sam Adler. The latter individual came on after I confirmed I was taking notes of the call. Both claimed to be working for "Windows and KBK Infotech" and that they had been required to ring me as I had not responded to any on screen messages. Mr Adler - a salutation I use loosely - became slowly, but increasingly agitated as I questioned him on every point he made, or when he mumbled, or spoke at a speed that I could not understand what he was saying, asked him to repeat such - slowly. It was great fun! They didn't even get to the part of their script where they insist I switch on my computer, before he raised his voice and almost screamed "o'h bye..bye" and rang off. I left my telephone off the hook for as long as it takes an alarm to sound - as it possibly (well it used to moons ago) stops the connection being fully cut off at their end, and they can't dial out again for a while. Don't be bullied or initimidated by such calls, play them at their own game.

I was also a victim of this company today. They called 3 times to inform me that there have been a number of hackers accessing our PC. The callers had strong Asian Accents and tried to very hard to gain my trust. Luckily I read the comments on this site whilst I was on the phone to these scamers and did not adhere to any of their commands and closed the call. I would like to thank all those you posted comments. A warning to all, PLEASE DO NOT FALL for their claims.

Tell Your Friends: TELL YOU FRIENDS.
Microsoft told me my email address was subject to an attempted hack, change my password. Then days later I get an unsolicited telephone call, purporting to be Microsoft, but he was Indian. The call lasted 45 minutes. They tell you things are wrong with your computer, they can fix it. I heard them talking to other people too, same problems, same solutions, £120. They did not get my money, they got the boot instead. BEWARE 1.6.2014

I, too, am a victim of KBK Infotech's trans-continental 'phishing'. It's a slick, highly polished operation, and although I had resisted their calls previously, this time I fell for the patter, largely because they cunningly played on fears of virus attack. I lost €650 (under the impression that I was paying €10 for an annually renewable Microsoft licence) - and feel extremely stupid! Whether VISA refunds this in part or whole I have yet to learn (not optimistic). These guys are charming and polite (a rarity in online callers) and brilliant liars, so don't think they'll necessarily lose their cool - mine never did, although I subjected them to a lengthy interrogation before I fell into the trap. Above all, do not touch the Microsoft symbol on your keyboard as they ask you (to demonstrate how vulnerable your machine is), as this will provide them with 'remote control' of your computer, and they can then fool you with slick graphics that appear on the screen. These were the clincher - I began to be convinced that it really was Microsoft, after all. One is tempted to be moral about such mendacity and robbery, but in the end it's the age-old story of pirates and parasites, which have been around as long as Evolution. Beware - they're alive and well in Calcutta (Kolkata), and elsewhere in India. A friend with an Apple was also taken in with a very similar spiel.

COLD CALLED CLAIMING TO WORK FOR MICROSOFT BIG SCAM

I, too, am a victim of Iessence Technology and KBK Infotech's trans-continental 'fishing'. It's a slick, highly polished operation, and although I had resisted their calls previously, this time I fell for the patter, largely because they cunningly played on fears of virus attack. I lost £89 and $650 (under the impression that I was paying €10 for an annually renewable Microsoft licence) - and feel extremely stupid!

Whether VISA refunds this in part or whole I have yet to learn (not optimistic). Refunds to the UK seem to be blocked as a matter of course by the Banks to prevent Money Laundering - a situation these people are well aware of and as such their activities are at the least misrepresentation of facts and could be considered as theft and/or fraudulent

DO NOT FALL FOR THE CHARM THESE GUYS ARE RUTHLESS -

I've been cheated by this bastards on August, this year, they cannot steal me nothing because I'm gave them the number of a "limited money" card, but they took so many info of my computer, I was a fool but, at least, my money is in my pocket. When they couldn't reach the money, they asked me if I had any other money cards, even they asked me how much money had in my bank account, they put me a password in my computer and said "I ring you back next week and then, you can pay. This password will change every week, so pay attention to my calls". Next day, I reported them to the police. Lately I have been researching about this company, and I discover that one of that bastards, (I'm not sure if this is real but at least is a clue) is called MIRAJUL HAQUE, from Kolkata, He has two social profiles at bussines websites, Here you have the links, I hope this company will be dead soon.
