Kaiser Permanente - Healthcare

I have been with Kaiser since about 2007 in that time I have had many different primary care doctors and have been treated poorly and have had many of my health issues neglected. MY issues are : heart problems, liver disease, calcified pancreas, hernia, colon problems, bulge in abdomen, distended abdomen, lower back disk problems, asthma, high blood pressure, bladder problems and incontinent, very painful vericocele vein in left testicle, nights sweats for over 4 months, chronic constipation, chronic vein insufficiency that causes edema swelling in feet and lower legs.

I have had at lease 10 or more primary doctors since I started with Kaiser in 2007. Out of the 10 only 2 were nice and did a good job but they ended up quitting Kaiser and I don't blame them for leaving. I have has terrible treatment by 2 Urologists in the Urology department at Panorama City there names were Dr Schwartz and DR Winters. Both of them treated me terrible and talked to me in a very condescending manner and both refused to consider me for a surgery for the painful vericosecele vein in my left private region.

I have been treated poorly by many primary doctors some talked down to me, others would neglect me by not treating the health issues that I asked them to. A few of the doctors would not respond back to my emails or calls they would let the nurses do it which shows their lack of concern for their patients. 2 doctors did not respond back to me about my prescriptions and that caused my medications to run out which was hazardous to my health. The last time I went to the ER at Woodland Hills location for an internal infections she did blood tests and other tests and an EKG and x-ray of my chest. When she came back she said everything looked good but said there was infection so gave me one shot of some antibiotic and I asked her whats causing my infection she said I don't know. When I went home i went to the website to look at my blood tests results and noticed that my blood sugar reading was very elevated and she failed to tell me that.

Just recently I switched to a new primary doctor his name is Dr Choi. I cancelled one appointment with him because I was sick at home and they dont want to you come in there if you are sick. So I made another appointment with him had to wait a month for it. So about 8 days before my appointment I went to the Kaiser website to check some things and then I went to the appointment area and I was shocked they removed my appointment . Then I called the main number at Kaiser I asked the lady to check my appointment and she said yes the doctor cancelled my appointment and gave no reason I got very upset as I really needed this appointment I have had night sweats every night for over 4 months and my blood pressure keeps going high then low again and I really need help for these 2 issues but Dr Choi does not even care enough to tell me why he cancelled my appointment and did not get me a replacement appointment either.

Kaiser is taking risks with my health and I DO NOT appreciate it. I complained to Member Services twice about this but nothing ever happens. If you ask me about Kaiser I will tell you read all that I wrote here about Kaiser then decide if you want to go there. They seem to not want to help me but yet they keep taking my money and my health insurance form MediCare. The location I am talking about is Panorama City, California.

Desired outcome: Apologize to me, start addressing my health issues all of them, stop neglecting me, treat me with respect , stop making it so I want to sue you for neglect and endangering my health

Kaiser Permanente - Er visit for 2 health issues that were not addressed properly

I am writing this complain about my visit to the ER at Kaiser Permamente at 1am on July 4th. I went there because my edema in my feet was very bad and have been having much pain in left side abdomen for almost 2 weeks. The nurse that helped me was nice her name was Rehme. But then I was assigned this doctor named Lam Grace who at first thought she was nice but really was a nice act she puts on with fake smile on. She comes in room after the nurse takes care of me asking about why I was there.

So I proceed tell her about haw badly swollen my feet are from the edema and that has been getting worse. Then i told her about the pain in my abdomen that this also has been getting worse with more pain not going away. I told her about past abdomen problems a bulge near that area and had some diverticulitis also near that area over a year ago. She lift up my gown and pressed on my abdomen in a few areas and thats all she did about that. She made me take my socks off look at my feet pressed on them sto see indents ands say to elevate them which I already do daily and to wear compression stockings and thats all she did about that.

Then she say well ok we will do blood work to check a few things and maybe do a scan or xray. Then she leave my room. The nurse then draws 5 viles of blood out of my arm then she leaves. The about 30 mins later this tech comes in tells me hes going to take me down for xrays of my chest. I told him the problem is not in my chest my heart is fine, the problem is here in my abdomen and I showed his the area that has pain. He said ok I will go ask them so I guess he found the doctor and she said yes go take xrays of his chest and I was confused and baffled by this.

So he take me down to get 3 xrays the n brings me back and I wait for over an hour. Then the doctor comes in and tells me well your blood tests came back and everything looks good and there is no problems in your chest. I am still wondering why she keeps avoiding talking abaout my pain in my abdomen. Then she leaves and i wait some more. Then the nurse comes back and tells me you will be going home soon now I am really kinda getting upset because nothing really was dont about my feet or my abdomen.

So I am waiting there and then another lady comes in with a EKG machine says going to take EKG readings with the wires and little things they stick on you to read electrical impluses. I said ok and thought I dont really need this either as my heart is fine. She did the test and said the Doctor will be in after a while to tell you the results. I wait some more then the doctor comes in with her fake smile on and says your EKG looks good and says the nurse will be in soon with your go home paperwork . I then said to her and touched my abdomen and asked her I say what if this area keeps hurting and gets worse, she said with fake smile you can alwayts come back here or go see your primary doctor.

The doctor leave then 15 minutes later the nurse comes in with my paperwork says a few things. I put her on the spot and I said I am concerned and upset that the doctor avoided doing anything about my abdomen at all. I said what if I go home and something pops in there. The nurse stumbled to find any words to say I said this doctor was wrong and should have xray or CTscan my abdomen to see whats wrong in there. She leaves and I get dressed take my bags of stuff walk down the hall and check out.

This doctor did not do anything about my really bad swollen feet either. Other times when I came to the ER about my bad swollen feet the would give me lasix ( water pill ) but in liquid form right through my veins which works very fast compared to taking pills and home that hardly do anything. The doctor did not offer me any relief on my feet either. So now its July 5th and and I am worse than when I went to the ER my feet are horribly swollen and painful and this pain in my side is worse than ever. I been with Kaiser Permanente since 2007 and looking back I really regret ever staying with them this long. I will say that because I decided to stay with them my health is bad and worse than its ever been. Here is my advice to anyone, dont ever use Kaiser if you have Kaiser get the hell out run as fast as you can and never look back !

So I wasted money for taxi can trip to and from there this night and wasted and bunch of hours waiting for them to call me into the ER then when I get in ther they did little or nothing to help the 2 problems i went in there for !

Kaiser Permanente - Bad treatment in er at panorama city

I have been a Kaiser member for many years. Why I continiue to stay with them is beyond me. I have been to the ER there is Panorama City many times. Had a couple of good visits but many bad ones. I went there again yesterday ( Tuesday 03-02-2016) and spent 9 hours there. I was there from 7am until 4pm. I was admitted into the ER about 8am and put in a room after they cleaned it. Was given a nurse with a russian accent who was nice at first but once I pressed the button and another person came asked me what I needed I said I want to ask my nurse a question about something the doctor said. Finally my nurse came in and I asked her. I noticed now her attitude towards me was not nice anymore. From this moment on she avoided my room.like crazy . The ER all day was average busy not until late i n afternoon did it get really busy. The doctor was nice but he also took forever to come back and tell me anything ( hours ). I went in the ER for swollen feet wanted to be checked for cellulitis infection and for chronic vein insuffientcy and I did not feel well thats why I went there. So after many hours the doctor finally came back and reviewed my tests and told me about everything. It was now 3pm. He said he would like to do another bloodtest to check something and I said ok you can do it but I must leave here at 4pm one hour from that time. He disappears and never comes back. My nurse never comes back either. They all avoid my room like crazy. So I get mad and get dressed take off all the things I was hooked up to but left the line for blood ( plastic thing ) on top of my hand. I stand at the nurses station where 2 girls were making small talk and laughing just ignored me. I had to say excuse me very loud 2 times before they would even look at me. I then said can my nurse please take this thing out of my hand so I can go home I need to leave now. I see my assigned nurse come out of a door right near there she just stands there and gives me a dirty look. So another guy has to take the line and plastic tube out of my hand and could tell he was annoyed by having to do it. He did a crappy job by hurting me while taking out the plastic tube. The top of my hand was bruised afterwards. He did a sloppy job just slaps a cotton ball on there and a piece of tape and then leaves me and says nothing. My nurse did not get my final paperwork to me either. So I walk down the long hall to the checkout window and wait. I see right near there a man and a woman all dressed up with Kaiser name badges and asked them if they had anything to do with running this place and they said yes so I voiced my complaint. While standing there talking to them my blood is dripping down my hand all over the floor due to the bad patch up work by that annoyed male nurse. They call another nurse over to tape me up again. I said I been here for 9 hours and no one in here even offered me anything to eat and not even a glass of water to drink but I day long I could here the nurses say well I am going to lunch now. The lady offered me a sandwich I said no thanks I have food at home. Why didnt any of the nurses offer me a sandwich or some jello or a glass of water all those hours ?!? So I spend hours in that room without food or water how lame and inconsiderate is that ?!?

So because this nurse did a poor job with me I did not get my final paperwork, I dont have on hand all the results of my bloodtests or know all about what the doctor said to me. I just wasted 9 hours being in there sitting in room being ignored. Its incidents like this that make me wonder what kaiser cares about. I was never really told the reason for wanting the 2nd bloodtest done, Was it about my kidneys or some other problem ? I guess I will never know which can put my health at risk. If you dont inform the patient of what is wrong that is dangerous for their health and life ! Kaiser makes a lot of money from MediCare which pays for a big part of my medical expense. I expect better service from them and at least show compassionn for sick and hurting people and not to treat them in a mean abusive manner with a poor attitude. People deserve to not be ignored at Kaiser because without sick people all the people would not get a paycheck ! Treat your patients better, Kaiser ! Oh and by the way, this is about the 3rd time I have had problems while going to this ER and being ignored and treated in a rude manner !
