justcam4you.com review: Scam 1

I think I have fallen fould of a very straightforward scam. This very professional looking site offers high quality digital cameras at prices that on reflection were just too good to be true. The site appears to be UK based but for international buyers offers pricess in Euros. It will accept credit cards from UK residents but requires wire transfer for overseas customers such as myself.

Having sent the money I tried to contact the outfit to check on delivery and found the following:
1. No response to emails
2. The phone number for the company goes to an automatic service which fails to forward to a real person.
3. After receipt of the money my customer order record has disappeared from the site's order processing system

I have subsequently found other negative postings about the site and a sister site justlaptops4you.com.

The site carries many logos suggesting external verification by McAfee and COMODO but I suspect these to be false. I have written to COMODO to confirm this but as yet without response.

I am having trouble getting police interest as the UK police do not see this as a crime because I am not resident in the UK and the local police are unlikely to give the issue much attention because the impact is only small on their patch.

Has anyone similar experience with the site?
What more can I do to prevent a recurrence of the scam for others.
