Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores nothing on shelves

I was in the Tooele, Utah store on Friday 12/8/17 and the shelves are empty. I asked about items coming in for the christmas season and was told everything was already sold. What store doesn't have enough inventory for the holiday season? There was 1 cashier and 1 other employee for a busy store- someone needs to change this. Don't put out "sales" without having the items to sell. This is very frustrating and the store will go under if this doesn't change.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores under the sea animals anti pill fleece fabric

Material print is smeared and not usable in a 12" section sent in my order.
I purchase materials from Joann fabrics at least twice a month but this single issue is not getting resolved.
I have also complained to their customer service about their failure to update their website. 4 times in the passed month I have spent hours ordering materials just to be notified 2days later that the items are not available. The next time I order online, I find all the unavailable items are still on the website...weeks after my declined order.
Please advise if additional information is needed.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores prejudicial practice for "asset protection"

I am offended by being singled out as an Asian customer who would be shoplifting. I am a disabled Family Practice Doctor who now can play at her hobbies. My purchases which I do at least monthly equal $300 to $700. This clerk who was also at the cutting table, saw Maria neatly cut and folded my selections. So this clerk at the register, took every single one of my 12 pieces of fabric, while the other supervisor Linda watched at the other register, unfolded them, and shook each one out and patted each one down. I am pretty nonymous, and they know I always have a long receipt. And this is the second store that has so wrongly treated me. You need to stop this Prejudicial practice. Eva Y.K.Yong, M.D.

We’re trained to count and check between each cut of fabric...has nothing to do with race or how much a person spends. Unfortunately it only takes a couple bad apples to ruin it for everyone. We also have to check inside each box that is purchased even if it feels empty and the customer looks like your sweet granny, you check everyone.

Unfortunately you have no physical evidence that race factored into your experience. It's likely that this is something they do to other customers as well.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores It's horrible

I purchased Lion Brand Fettuccini Yarn - Zpagetti Print Assortment (item number is [protected]) and a Tulip Etimo Rose Crochet Hook Set (item number is [protected]) almost 400 dollars worth two months ago.
I got an email from them that the order was shipped. Great.
But the problem is that my order never arrived. I called them many times and they said that it was back ordered. For no reason. The items were in stock at the moment of ordering and later as well. Well, I really didn't care why they didn't ship it out, I just asked for a refund. Still waiting...

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores unethical behavior

October 10th 2017

Store manager refused to help me. She was down one aisle and sent me to another employee who was busy at the time helping another customer. This isn't the first time this has happened she tries really hard to not have to help a customer. Its happens more than it ever should. This store manager is mean to customers and the employees. I have see her belittle the employees in front of customers.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores poor customer service, charged for 10 yards batting and she only cut 9 yards

Joann Fabrics in Lancaster, OH.
I requested 10 yards of cotton batting at price of $14.99.The cutting clerk did not speak to us at all, acted like we were an imposition.
When she quit measuring and began to cut, my husband said, "I believe you only measured 9 yards." She just looked at him and cut the fabric. She did not offer to re-measure. Since we are very mild mannered people, we did not demand that she do that. As she measured I did notice that the batting was piling up on the floor and she did not remedy that.
This morning out of curiosity, I measured the batting and indeed, I only received 9 yards, but charged for 10. Enclosed is a picture of the dirt I discovered this morning as I remeasured. Our complaints are threefold - her attitude, her mismeasuring and not rechecking when questioned, and care of the batting by her - namely the dirt.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores the toilet

Today is July 17th my wife and I were shopping at Jo-Ann Fabrics in Fayetteville Arkansas early today .I was assaulted by the toilet. No this is not a joke it's one of those toilets that flushes when it decides to not when you want it to before I could pull my pants up it flushed and jettisoned its contents into my pants and underwear around my ankles please get a toilet with a handle so someone can decide when to flush it I had to throw my underwear away and I am not suing for pain and suffering as I had to go around the rest of the day with no underwear wearing Levi's and scuffing my privates around it is not a joke I'm angry enough to fry chicken on my forehead please reimburse me for some size 36 men's long briefs and get rid of the disasterous toilet it's a health hazard and is liable to cause some serious rage please take this serious even if you don't replace my underwear please do something about the toilet my name is John Hopson my phone number is [protected]

The rude lady at the register doing the check out was very rude and refused to take my rwturn even though i had my reciept, because she was closed! This was after i stood in the fabric line to have the fabric measured for the return. I do alot and i mean alot ( a minimum of $400 at least every week) at jo anns and have chosen that store because of the home town feel i use to get there, now with all these rude older ladies working there, i believe ill find some place else to do my shopping, like hobby lobby!

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores online order keeps being cancelled

I placed a big order for four times, and each time they cancel my order without any explanation. I contacted customer support numerous times and all they can tell me it is cancelled by their "asset protection" department. Contacting that department is impossible, you can leave a voice mail message and you may get an e-mail back without any useful information, nor a reconfirmation of the order.
They say they have updated my information and should order again (but my coupon I used was only valid for one order), but the next order gets cancelled again.
I placed the same order again, but in my mothers name with her contact details and again, the order got cancelled.
I had a good deal with some items on sale and an additional coupon, so I'm pretty sure the "asset protection" just means protecting your own assets so you can make enough money on the items you sell. I used to be a big fan of, bought a lot of stuff over the years, but now I am very very disappointed. Especially since there is no solution offered.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores no one available to work the custom framing department

On Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, I went intoJoAnn's Fabrics in Brandywine, Md with the expectation of getting my daughter's Masters Degree framed or at least to obtain information about framing, etc. To my dismay, there was no one available to work that department. First, I stood at the counter for 15 minutes waiting for service, the work area door was wide open, I knocked on the door and even walked into the room looking for someone. I was told by a nice employee that I had to ring a bell for service. Why isn't there a large sign there to say "please ring the bell for service"? A good place to put the sign would be at the top of the wall where all of the pricing information is.
When someone did arrive, I was told that the person who worked there had already left for the day; it was 10:50 am...left for the day? Then, the person proceeded to tell me that they only have a part-time person, and they are waiting to hire a full-time person. I was told to come back on Thursday, Feb 23, Sat., Feb25 or Sun Feb. 26 days which I am not available to return to the store. This is not good customer service. I do not want to hear about the store's hiring woes. maybe you can consider and online custom framing option. Again, a sign that simply states the hours of operation for the Custom Framing Dept would suffice. I was hoping to use my coupon of 55% off +25% off as advertised, however, the coupon expires on March 1. Please provide a coupon that has the same percentage off so that I can reward my daughter with a beautiful frame for her degree. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores management cursing

Today is the second time in less than 3 mths that I have been in our local Joann's and have had the unpleasant experience of hearing curse words. The first time it happened I had my grandchild with me. I found out the person both times was the store manager. Many mothers go there with their children and also the store promotes programs to teach young children craft ideas. I think a new manager would be greatly appreciated.

I am sick and tired of getting fabric home only to find it is short from the length I paid for! The cutting at these stores is appalling and funnily enough the fabric length is always short and never too long.
I bought four materials the other day for skirts. So far out of the three I have checked every one is short by a few inches. When you ask them to cut it carefully you get attitude and looks saying "another moaning customer" well guess what we have a right to moan you are cheating the customers!

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores worst experience with online order

On November 7th I ordered about 10 Christmas items from Joann.com. Everything seemed fine at checkout, I received no order confirmation or anything, I assumed it was still on its way to me. 2 weeks pass and I go to the customer service page and it states that their warehouse had moved and shipping could take UP to 7 days. I was annoyed because they had not mentioned that during check out. I needed these items to bring with me on Thanksgiving, you would think ordering on November 7th would give me ample time. Customer service took days to email me back the status of my shipment telling me it was in "shipping phase". I still had not received any confirmation email about the order so I responded telling them to cancel my order since I needed it in the next couple days. Days later (going on week 3) customer service got back to me saying they couldn't do that and also offered me absolutely no solution or support. I've never dealt with such horrid and useless customer service. Now we are at December 2 and I just received confirmation the shipment I no longer want is finally on its way. The kicker, today they cancelled some items from the shipment because they were out of stock. So they very well could have cancelled my extremely late order. I will never order or buy from JoAnn Fabric again. Their customer service is pitiful and this shipping process has been unforgivable. I advise all friends, family and readers not spend their money at this store. I'm looking at an order that is coming a month late, way passed the date I needed it. Still hasn't even arrived! And no one in customer service could come up with a solution to resolve the situation or even make me feel better about this fiasco. Horrible, lying company.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores leather maxi punch

Store 11160 viers mill rd silver spring, md 20902. First time buyer at Jo Ann's we bought a leather maxi punch set on a regular price of 14.99 dollars, the product was defective and we decide to return it. The next day we went to the store with out the receipt and the manager Francesca with out checking any records of our purchase told us that she was going to give us just the 50, % of the total price because we didn't have the receipt. We paid the whole price! She was not a helpful person to deal with. The store is a mess and management too. Desapointed 100% of this store . We took our ugly and defective product back and now looking for the receipt.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores custom framing

A poster I had framed serveral years back came crashing to the floor. The frame broke apart, the glass chipped, and the paint on the frame was damaged. Two associates that helped me said it was done a long time ago, as if there is a limited time that a frame and wire should hold. I believe the screws holding the hardware that the wire was attached to, failed. Also, I was asked if I had used one hook. Yes, I did use the one hook that was attached to the wire when I picked up the original frame job. This piece is not heavy, I wasn't advised to use two hooks, and the hook didn't fail. The frame job failed. I was charged to put it back together and touch up the frame. I kept the chipped glass to save money, Since I was charged to repair shoddy workmanship. Jo-Ann's shouldn't be in the framing business if they don't do it right the first time and they don't guarantee the safety of their framing jobs. Fortunately, no one was sleeping in the bed where the poster was hung above the headboard. The bottom line is I don't trust the safety of their framing and I didn't like my treatment by the employees. I would have been happier if I had not been charged, but I still would not have anything framed there.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores coupon not honored for item I wanted

I went in to the Jo Ann fabric store in Pensacola Florida today October 25th and went to the circuit vinyl and the blades for my Cricut. When I got to the counter, coupons under my purchases, the clerk proceeds to tell me I can't use my coupon on cricut items! I proceed to ask why and tell her that it is no where in the coupon or otherwise she says that Joann does not own cricut so they cannot honor the coupon. I told her that two weeks ago I bought something cricut had a coupon and used it? She asked who it was I said here at this store and one of your store clerks she said " well she shouldn't have. There is no where in the coupon that says you cannot use on cricut items. So I would like to know how is that ok to do and not considered false advertisement?... I would seriously like for them to be held accountable for their continued lies and falsehoods. I would like to use my coupons on whatever I want to according to the coupon, also I would like a fifty dollar check for all the monies I lost on buying my cricut items with said coupons.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores horrible experience

Ordered something from JoAnn Fabric and their rep assured me that my order was in stock. They said I'll get it within few weeks. Gave them three weeks and decided to contact and ask what was going on and where my order was. They said that everything was ok and told that my order was already on its way. Waited another week and nothing. Emailed these guys and was shocked when they said that my order was cancelled because it was out of stock. What? One week ago they said that it was shipped and now they claimed it was not in stock. Smelled a scam and demanded my money back.
They said that they were not able to refund me because it was against their policy and offered me a 50% discount on my next order. I refused and said that all I need is my money and they just stopped replying. Scammers!

I have ordered something from www.joann.com and paid via PayPal. Several days later I received a message from JoAnn Fabric stating my order was shipped. Waited patiently but weeks passed and there was no sign of my order. So I went online ad contacted JoAnn Fabric only to be told that my order is on its way.
I decided to give them another chance, but after another week of waiting I decided to cancel my order. When I asked for a refund they did not reply. Gladly I paid with PayPal and they helped me to get my money back.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores horrible and condescending cutting counter service

Only a couple of hours ago, I went to Jo Ann's fabric and craft store to look for fabric for a dress I was making. Notice I said "look". I was only looking for material and colors that may work. One of the employees urged me to purchase the material since it was 40 percent off. I am not a very experienced sewer, and by that, I mean that I have used a sewing machine once. And that alone took me 40 minutes to get it up and running. I was making a dress based off of a cartoon character, so I had no pattern. I was completely unprepared when I approached the cutting counter and partly I admit, was my fault for being so unprepared. But I had not planned on purchasing fabric that day. I had seen a couple internet tutorials online about how to make this dress, but nothing concerning measurments or anything of the sort. I did remember it saying to get 9 yards of fabric...so I asked for 9 yards of each color, when overall the video meant 9 yards in total. Im not very old, and I had never been into Jo Ann's alone before. The woman at the cutting counter was very sharp and snippy with me. I tried to explain my situation, and I told her how I hadn't prepared to buy fabric today, and then she starts, I am not joking, yelling at the top of her lungs at me about how I shouldn't have come into the store in the first place. She continues yelling and then, I repeat, simply walks off to talk to another coworker about my situation, and then they proceed to laugh at me in the middle of the store. I was not expecting this at all, so I was practically in tears by the time this was over. I have trouble standing up to people, I always have, so this really ruined my Jo Ann's experience. I would not recommend this store to anyone.
