Jennifer Robinson AKA Jennifer Beck, Jennifer Wall and Givenright.com will scam you out of money. She runs/owners an internet adoption research site. She prays on those whom are looking for birth parents or children given up for adoption.

To hire her it cost $200.00 + dollars. She will tell you how many people she has located and make you believe that she is able to find who you are looking for. Within 24-48 hours she calls you and tells you she has great news she has located them and has already made contact. She goes on and on about how the person you are looking for really wants contact but first you have to pay another $200+ dollars before she can give you any information. You get so excited so you pay...

She will then call you back telling you that birth mom/ adoptee called her back and wants NO contact and yelled and screamed at her and said they would sue... the lies go on and on!!! She will give you a name but the name is made up... I was told that my birth mother's name was sarah but after contacting another search group find out that my birth mother's name is really Julie. She lies!!! Don't use her!! My birth mother was never contacted by her and was VERY happy to have contact!!!

Save yourself the tears!! Because it hurt really bad to hear my birthmother wanted nothing to do with me and then find out she really did!!!

I have a listed of people right now who have been scammed by her... Stay away!!!

I find it amazing that people are coming out of the woodwork to defend Jennifer. It seems that people would be sitting back and enjoying their reunions rather than googling Jennifer's name and finding out that she is a scam artist. I'm sure all the people defending Jennifer have the SAME IP address but alas, we will never know.

First of all... you avoided my questions... what would you do? What would you think? How would you react? Would YOU do this to someone as a searcher?? No find, No fee means just that... she didn't find ANYONE for us... why did she keep our fees?? And as for her license... if you click on the link on the "just the facts page" you will see that the license IS expired and NOT renewed. It is Givenright Research and I did call and it's no longer valid. Trust me, I wish it was because I would think that she would need some type of insurance to have a business license (I'm not sure about this) but if she did, I'd be contacting them too!

You bring up a good point about attacking other people. I think it would be help to those of you who have complaints to focus on those rather than all these personal attacks back and forth. You are reducing your creditability if you fall into this game. Focus on the issue and your facts but ignore those that come on here to just attack another person not their story. If those users feel they need to attack each other they should do it outside this posting form through e-mail as maybe many of you are tired of reading personal attacks rather than actual complaints.

I do not intend to undermine what you all are going through. In fact, it is the complete opposite. I was just making a point, as a shocked client of Givenright, that while you had my interest in the beginning; the back and forth off subject bantering is starting to take its toll. I have no way of understanding what you all went through with Jennifer and I am not trying to make light of it either. However, I am trying to understand it. It just seems as if your points were more firmly made when they were on topic. You had the attention of at least one successful client of Jennifer's then. As far as my situation, I cannot do anything about the fact my Texas adoption in '78 in Bexar Country was successful. Nevertheless, I am interested in your side of things and that is why I continue to return. I am for sure not a fan of Patricia Dorner.

Actually, Jennifer has been the source of many successful reunions. She simply asks those she has helped in the past to come forward and post on these complaint sites when things get too hot to handle on her own.

Just another note...We will be going to have a wonderful family reunion in July. Truly for my family life could not get any better. All thaks to Jennifer being willing to still search regardless of the negative comments and harmful accusations to her and her family.

Wow this is way out of hand! But as usual it is off subject. Nevertheless, it is interesting to see the reoccurring typos in the unrelated posts. Those posts and typos have begun to make me sway in my thoughts. Then again, that could be why someone is posting them. What a mess.

Howdy Folks,

I am new on here and I would like to say "NO ONE" asked me to write on here. I have read your comments. I have to say I did see these things before I hired www.givenright.com. I would like to tell you I had a beautiful experience with them recently. I was born in New York City in 1979 and placed for adoption at one month of age. I did not have my biological mothers name or anything about her. I only knew she was 15 years old when she delivered me. I have looked before for my biological family I paid a company 700.00 dollars, they took my money. A couple of weeks ago I finally met my biological Mother. We met at a local coffee shop. I instantly started to look for similarities between us and we had many. My biological mother and I had similar cheekbones, same nose, and same teeth. She showed me pictures of my siblings — two sisters and three brothers — and we pretty much all have the same looks. I was told that a niece could pass for my daughter. In addition to the physical similarities, we also discovered we share the same shoe size, same favorite foods and sense of humor.
Givenright found me a loving family that could never find myself and I am so thankful. For that gift, I will forever thank them.
I was told about www.givenright.com through a friend at my work that used the company before me. She was reunited with success. I want to tell everyone I can how givenright helped me in locating my biological mother and my siblings. It took Jennifer only a week in a half to locate my family. I did the no find no fee and I would never regret using this company. I have pictures of reunion. My biological family are really nice folks. If you read about www.givenright.com and are undecided know I had an experience that I could never take back. They were professional, friendly, and always answers my calls.

I was interested to read that Jennifer was still around as one of you met with her last year, I believe that was what was written...When I worked with her back in 2005 she told me she was sick then so I wasn't sure whatever happened to her. When my birth fam was coming last May it reminded me that I had never sent photos to Jennifer about the reunion. So I sent those off to the e-mail address Jennifer used during my search.

It was weird that the only reply I received about five days later was something about this website. So I came on here to see what was going on...Posted my experience and just followed along in the discussion. Some of the recent e-mails made me wonder if she was even still around, but based on your posts that seems to be a given. I thought for a second that maybe someone was acting as her or something. Anyway, I had this thought because nothing was said about the reunion and all the work that Jennifer and I put into finding my birth fam (although it was relatively easy thanks to a Catholic Charities error on my NON-ID information). Just surprised me that a more upbeat e-mail did not follow.

actually you can take someone to court without a Lawyer. small claims court. you can check the amount you can sue for in your state.. If Im not mistaken it was $5, 0000.00 if you get a judgment against someone, and they do not pay you back. it not only goes on their credit, you can start attaching wages, bank accounts and etc..

Even know I haven't posted in a while I'm still working on all of this. The prosecutor's office is still reviewing the case. They need to be able to prove 'beyond a reasonable doubt' that JR intended to commit fraud. Believe it or not, that's more difficult than one may think.

I can tell you that since King5 aired that story, I've had SIX additional victims contact me. One of those victims was given his bmom's name and address by JR and was told that she wanted no contact and that if he tried to contact her, she would sue him. Feeling rejected, he put the information aside for SIX MONTHS. After about six months, he felt the strong need to write a letter to her anyway just to thank her for giving him life and to give himself some closure that at least he tried. The response from that letter was that 1- the woman he wrote to never gave a child up for adoption, 2- she was never contacted by Jennifer Robinson, and 3- she is black, he is white. Now can you imagine... he waited six months to send that letter! If he never sent that letter, he would have lived the rest of his life thinking that his bmom wanted nothing to do with him!!

What is it going to take for JR to stop hurting people? She's destroying people's hopes, dreams, and possible futures filled with additional family that they never knew before. How is it that our legal system can be so screwed up that they cannot put a stop to this? How is it that JR can be so screwed up that she just cannot stop hurting people? It's so frustrating!!!

Wow! That's sad [seven victims], but good that their voices will be heard now too. I can understand your frustration with the legal system, but imagine how those people feel that were unjustly sentenced to prison for crimes they did not commit. It is good a thing that you have to prove these things beyond a shadow of a doubt even if it is frustrating when we all know what that person has done.

Victims should contact ABC's "Find My Family" and request that ABC warn viewers against fraudulent companies that prey on the vulnerability of this kind of situation.

What's the matter? Didn't get enough air time on the rip-off? Looks like somebody needs a hobby.

I had a great experience with givenright.com. I hired them to find my sister that was placed for adoption before I was born and they found her. I chose givenright because their rates were much more reasonable than any other search company I found online. I got more information than I ever hoped for (sister's name, address, phone number, adoptive parent's names, brother's name, myspace page with pictures, etc). I feel like I ripped them off!

I know you signed a contract just like I did. The contract said they had 90 days to work on a case and that the retainer was non-refundable. Just because you didn't get things your way or in your time doesn't mean that this company is a scam.

All I can say is check the Better Business Bureau report on my company. It speaks for itself.

Several of these individuals whining today have filed reports against my company and the BBB did a thorough investigation of each case. I was able to provide documentation supporting my side and the BBB ultimately ruled in my favor and closed the complaints against my company. Because these individuals did not get the desired outcome through a reputable entity such as the Better Business Bureau, they have since resorted to smearing the reputation of my company across the internet on multiple complaint boards such as this one.

My company provides a service at a much more reasonable rate than most search companies. Not everyone can afford $1300 for a search. I provide a genealogical search for comparitively less ($300 retainer/$300 upon location) and there are plenty of satisfied clients out there to corroborate my claims. But of course, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so you all can just go on squeaking.

The number belongs to Jennifer Robinson with Givenright, so you again are a retard. Also, the address is listed incorrectly your fake crap you are writing. I am a adoptee too and you know you are so stupid that you have time to bash companies yet, you say yopur name is what ladybug not even real name. You are so dumb!!! As for Robert Morse who the hell said he was with Givenright dumb a** the number is not even his any more... you are A RETARD WITH TO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS!!! I really feel for you in your journey and I hope it helps you feel more of a person to do what you are doing. I just got off the telephone from a lady in Fort Worth, Texas and as weird it it seems the conversation was about Jennifer and www.givenright.com. This lady was in tears she stated to me that she had been contacted from you all and that she had not been scammed as Alicia had stated. She told her story to me and she was asked to write on your website about Jennifer. The questions I had for her is how did they contact you can you please send me the e-mails that were sent to you and she did. Jennifer did look up her information and her mother had a fake name she told me, Jennifer had her file and has had it for a long time, Jennifer continued to work on her case and found this ladies mother (by the way through the fake name she had) she felt very angry at givenright at first and though she had been scammed yet, she opened up the court records and the fake name was o n the records and Jennifer still was able to find her mother and her biological full sister.

I listened to your stories and I respect your feelings all of you. I do feel that sometimes that a person might feel quote scammed if the information that was given to the researcher or yourself does not fit your puzzle, this does not mean someone scammed you are lied to you. The problem that I am having with this situation at this time is that you and Alicia are trying to hunt down people and writing to them through Jennifer's records that Alicia had as a office manager these records were told that they were CONFIDENTIAL.

If someone is upset because a person could not be found and a case could not be solved it does not mean that anyone scammed someone nor does it mean someone scammed someone if a birth mother gave a false name, or the searcher was given a false name by another searcher. Many birth mother's used fake names when coming to the adoption agency so their privacy and file would stay a "CONFIDENTIAL FILE".

This does not say much for you and your website that you would try and get someone to write on your website because they were upset with Jennifer or Alicia. It would be one point if someone came to you, yet, you are coming to people. I have read your website and you state that you want people to stay true and that you would like to see if this company is a scam or legitimate yet, when someone post in Jennifer defense you call names such as she is a devil. You stated to me that you are not cyber bullying yet, It's so blatantly apparent how biased you are about the situation.

Also, another searcher contacted me this morning stating that a past client had called them for a search and stated that Alicia gave this person the name of this searcher that Jennifer supposably had done a search for, yet, this searcher is not a open searcher and Alicia had no right to give her name out to anyone. This is not only harassment to searchers. Adoptees and birth parents have the right to me confidential and by contacting them with your so called revenge is wrong.

The myth of the Internet is that you can call a person a monkey, with a purple tale, and thumb in their butt and whatever else you wish and get away with these statement yet, laws have been past to protect people from Internet harassment.As a community in adoption I am overwhelmed that a person would contact adoptees and birth parents and ask them to write bad comments about someone for your own agenda, that is truly trashy. This is truly vindictive to adoptees, birthparents, searchers, and Jennifer. Please feel free to contact me if Marie or Alicia has contacted you asking you to do these things.
