J.D. Byrider auto

This JD Byriders company and CNAC is a rip off. I got my car from them August 2016. Went there and see if I get approved. So filled up an application and Dan the car seller told me his waiting for approval and he stepped out at the room for a minute and the messenger pops up on his computer says "she's approved for $13000. Dan didn't know I saw the message. When he got back he said ok ur approved but didn't tell me how much he just let me choose a car. Since I know what's my approved I was trying to get a cheaper one cuz I don't want to get a $13000 car. But they wont let you they will try there best to max that approved. So not even a week my car had check engine light pops up after that my wheel bearing so I have to go back to their shop again to fix it. Went to pick up my car and told the service manager I'm going to drive and visit my friend like an 8 hours drive and I asked if the car is safe to drive. Since I feel like to many problems. And she said yes ur good to go. I took her words and drove to visit my friend who is sick. Drove for 2 hours and 30 mns. and stopped at gas station cuz I need it a gas after putting gas my car won't start and gas was leaking under my car. Check engine lights pops up and oil pressure lights. So I was stuck and called Jd BYRIDER and Dan told me to call the corporate which is CNAC. I ended up paying towing to the nereast JD Byrider's which is cost me 160$. Then I have to call my bf to drive 2 hours to pick me up. After they fix my car after a month I went to pick up my brother at Columbus airport Ohio which is an hour drive. On the way home my car was over heating. I called them again and they told me I have to bring my car to them and pay on my pocket the towing since they are 1 hour away from me. But I refused and argued with them. My car fixed by auto shop near me and they pay for the repaired. After a week another problem pops up, it's hard to put gas on my car. Every time I tried to put gas it kicks back so I have to stay at gas station atleast 20 or 30 mns. Patiently just to put gas. I called them but the Lima JD Byrider closed down. I'm glad they are closed. But still a lot of JD Byrider's there and same company. My advance don't ever ever buy a car at Jd Byrider's or finance at CNAC. I search online my car is only worth $6000 for good condition but this car is not even a good condition. So I owe Jd Byrider's/ CNAC $13000 plus interest $24000 for a s####y car. Never ever go to this place. I told them why they sale a s####y car but they told me that I have to understand that this is a used car and it will broke down and tell me that they are helping me to rebuild my credit. It's a bull**** they only care about ur money. This place is a rip off. I hope all Jd Byrider's close Down. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE it's a big regret for me. Driving my car everyday give me stress and paranoid that I might break down somewhere.

J.D. Byrider gas leak

2016 I had an motor placed in by this company service department it took 2 months! I wanted to return my truck! Once I called the finance department I was given a very reasonable price but was told another price by Country the service supervisor! When asked about a lender vehicle I was told that they don't do that but once my father called and spoke with mr gill it wasn't a problem and I was told to come get the lender vehicle but that was a week before my motor was finish being placed in! Therefore I was paying for a jeep I wasn't able to drive! It's been 2 months since my motor has been placed in now a gas leak! I placed 10$ worth of gas in my jeep the gas station is 5 mins from my house so there's no way my gas should be gone out of the jeep! So therefore once again I attempted to have faith in you all service department. I called and ms Wanda told me to bring my truck on in the next day! With the heat on the smell of gas is all through out my vehicle so when I smell it I have 2 young children also smelling it! The situation was dangerous and by service suppose to be licensed technicians they should have know the position they put me and my 2 small children in. Once my truck was at the service department I was told by Gerome that I have a gas leak and need a new fuel line instead of offering a lender car or anything my children and I drove off that lot still smelling the fumes of gas! I was told that they was going to order my fuel line and it should be in Thursday and they will call me to bring my truck back so it can be placed on! But today is Thursday and I still haven't received a call about a fuel line! Now my truck is completely disable I can't drive it! Tried to crank the truck it wouldn't crank! My parents called my insurance company so that my truck can be towed to jd byrider service center. My problems should've been fixed when my motor was getting fixed! Then not recieving my key that I dropped off with my truck! No keypad but when my truck was first dropped off I had a key pad! I'm never late on a payment always on time! But I can't afford to pay for a vehicle that I thought was fixed when in reality it's not! I'm constantly pouring out money but within a month time my truck is disable again! My young children and I depends on that jeep but jd byrider is letn me down! It's always their on lunch or I'll call back and I return nothing! 225$ is what I pay bi weekly for a running vehicle not something that runs a month then stops! I have a new battery a new water pump and a used motor with less miles! The fact that I was told it was a gas leak and the situation wasn't handle then is really upsetting that's why I took it upon myself to call ms tracey (my account rep) to info her of this situation I told her my mom was getting told and she advised me to have it towed to service dept. She has helped me a lot the first time! My jeep is full of the smell of gas even outside the jeep you can smell gas! I'm very displeased, upset and confused of how a business would let a young mother with 2 kids leave the establishment which was dangerous and hazardous. I can no longer do business with jd byrider!

J.D. Byrider purchasing a vehicle

Okay, the person who wrote the last review was absolutely correct. I'll admit, I am a novice when it comes down to anything involving an automobile. Since I purchased the vehicle I too have been harassed endlessly. About a week to a week and a half before my payment is due is when the calls and texts start rolling in. And mind you, I have never had a late payment with them, still the calls and texts persist, up to as many as 4 a day! Leave me the hell alone, you've always gotten the payment up until now right? Also, my fiance had to take a payment in to the dealership on 27th because I was waiting for my new credit card. What a mistake! He paid for the entire month (our payments were split up into 2 week intervals, but all except one occasion we paid the whole thing at the beginning of the month). So, two weeks later the calls start rolling in and I called to explain the month was already paid for. My fiance did not ask for a receipt okay, but he has a severe head injury from a motorcycle accident, but they did not automatically give him a receipt either. The girl at the window failed to even ASK if he wanted one. When I explained what happened to one of the assistant managers, I was told the register was even that day, and the girl that worked there would never take it. He stated their people didn't steal from them because they have cameras all over, he then went on to say that the people that have stolen from them have been caught and fired. So, which is it? No employees ever steal from you or they do? I asked them to look at the cameras anyway, and he told me he couldn't do it (of course ) but his boss would be able to in the morning. I stated to him that I wanted to also view the tapes with the manager. Did I ever receive a call? No. I called back twice but there was always some excuse so I finally just gave up and paid an extra 1/2 payment. And the girl who would never steal? She was maybe in her late teens early twenties with rotted out teeth and as skinny as a rail. I am not trying to be mean, but she truly looked like a Crack or meth addict, and everyone knows how honest they are right? So, now I have filed for bankruptcy and my lawyer (God bless him!) stated the blue book price of the vehicle we bought was around $3, 500. What are we paying $17, 000! Yup, screwed, blued and tattooed! Because I filed for bankruptcy however, my lawyer gave me a number of a place out of Ohio that will fiance a car for you during bankruptcy, and all the vehicles have between 30, 000-50, 000 miles. Ours was over a 100, 000 when we got it in December. This new place also told me they tell you the blue book price, and if you pay $17, 000 it is because the car is WORTH $17, 000. They also drive the car down to you for free and give you a week to test drive it! Say bye-bye to JD Byrider, they can have their overpriced car with the sunroof that doesn't even work back! I hope this helps. If anyone has any questions about this other place it is called 777. Good luck!

J.D. Byrider car sales

This company lies and make up stuff to not sell to the people they don't want to help. They told me they couldn't verify my reference and job and I call all my references and they said they didn't even call them. They expect you to come up with 12 reference like most people talk to a lot of people that will put there name out there. Very disappointed in the time I wasted with this company. They also a card that was promise to me from under me and when I couldn't give them what they wanted in the time they wanted they didn't want to do business with me. I wasted nearly three weeks with this company.

J.D. Byrider auto loan

I was desperate when I bought a 2004 Buick Le Sabre on 3/20/2014. I had started a job and needed a car to complete my job duties AND be able to commute less than 4.5 hours per day. I had been unemployed prior for nearly 10 years. So I was compelled to agree to their terms. They did not allow me to select the car I wanted (which would have been a four cylinder to save on gas in view of the length of my commute.) Plus I wanted the smallest payment possible so I would be sure to be able to pay all my debts. I asked the salesman & then the manager to show me a smaller car. The manager absolutely refused to put me in a smaller (or less expensive car though I asked him at least twice.) When I had trouble keeping up with the $190 every 2 weeks I called & pleaded to be put into something I could afford to have the manager tell me that they knew what I could afford & that based on my income & expenses I had an extra $200/month! It didn't matter that I had no health insurance and couldn't afford the $300/month premium thanks to JD Byrider's strong arm tactics. Now I've lost my job & I'm 1 year from completing this RIP off contract and still owe $8000 on this car! (When I mentioned to the collection department that it is highway robbery to have paid $18000 for this old car, they told me I was paying for credit repair!) Never again! I tell everyone to stay away from these crooks!

I would love to get together with you. I just purchased a Kia Rio 2011, that first night the engine light went on. Then within 6 weeks the transmission slipped and I couldn't afford to keep a car that I was afraid to drive because I am 100% medically disabled. I turned the car in, was worth about $8, 000 and I was charged $15, 136.29 with finance charges the whole loan would be $27, 666.88 for an $8, 000 car. I understand that my credit is bad due to a job injury, but all I asked for was a safe and reliable car to get me to my doctors appointments. They wouldn't let me out of my contract even though the first payment was not for another 2 weeks. They told me that they wouldn't resell my car, but send it to a wholesale auction and I would have to pay the balance of the loan. I see how they violated so many people with their unethical consumer practices. I know many can't afford a lawyer to protect themselves. But I am educating myself to stop this abuse. I am going to have a lawyer, but want to get all my ducks in a row first. I want to not just fight my case, I want to fight for all of those victims that have been abused and taken advantage of by this company. I just started a facebook page, and if you look up J.D. Byrider, you will see my page right on top of theirs, the first one. It's called J.D. BYRIDER A+ FOR UNETHICAL CONSUMER PRACTICES. I want to gather all the victims and those who are directly affected by the abuse from this company. I can only make a difference by getting at least 300-400 people who have suffered and had their lives turned upside down from this company. Please join me in fighting to change the laws and not allow others who work hard to make it and then have this company destroy the little we have left. There is power in numbers, I can fight for just myself, but there are too many people the could change the way they are being treated.

J.D. Byrider lemon

My son bought a vehicle from this company. The boy was 19 and really didn't know that much about it and they totally took him for a f****** ride. They took total advantage of a young man, alone and has Asperger (a form of autism) and only worked part time at a nursing home facility. He drove off with a PT Cruiser that have a very high payment and it broke down on him within days. They would not help him with anything. Did not fix problem, didn't offer to replace it. All they did was stress him about the payments. Vehicle as ultimately repod. Now on his report in which it is impossible for him to purchase another. I think I will go to the Attorney Generals Office too. There needs to be a class action suit against JD BYRIDER. They are a bunch of crooks . It's simple: they lure, they sale, they harass, the repo (within months), they resale. Don't you see people? all they do is sell you a piece of crap they bought at an auction for $1, 500, sell it to you for $5, 500 and over, knows it's going to break down on you, don't work with you, repossess it from you so they can sell to someone else with days. It's a cycle. Shame on you JD BYRIDER and CNAC for taking advantage of people, your mother must be so proud.

J.D. Byrider volkswagen jetta

I purchased a vehicle from jd byrider/cnac the initial deposit was deferred due to my daily transaction limit with my bank being reached, the payment was scheduled to come out the following business day. There was a $500 down payment the reps at the dealership initially swiped my card multiple times which put an authorization hold on $1, 000 for the transaction attempts. My deferred payment was not honored due to the authorization hold which remained for ten (10) days. Upon this decline cnac contacted me i researched it with my bank and learned of the hold. I informed cnac that their first transaction on the day of purchase has restricted funds in my account. The recovered the vehicle, upon them receiving documents showing the hold and how it was initiated they gave the vehicle back. Before the hold was able to be released there was transactions with approximately 10 other merchants and service providers, this caused nsf fees from each merchant and the bank which totaled around $620. I informed cnac of these fees and my intention to settle them immediately and that doing so would result in a partial payment (of $160) for my 10/09/15 payment. I made cnac aware that i would be paying the remainder upon my being paid and the receipt of my new bank card. The issuing of my bank card was delayed by a week due to bank error, once this was fixed and the card was recieced there was an issue with the pin (it was to stay the same however it was changed) bank of america informed me they'd need to issue a new pin. I expressed the fact that this was an inconvience giving my car payment was overdue because of these continued delays, the bank rep offered to call cnac to inform them of the continued issue and to inform them that it was no fault of my own. Once cnac recieved this information the cnac rep suggested that i borrow the funds, i let him know it was not possible since my family felt that cnac should've paid the fees which resulted from its transaction attempt.

I am a 3 time JDB customer and had my vehicle serviced 2 or so months ago. Recently in Ohio it has been hot. Well, after my engine was replaced 2 months ago wouldn't you know that the service department did not ensure my A/C was in working order before it was returned to me. Prior to my engine being replaced I had a new radiator and A/C condenser installed (at another shop) and I can verify that my A/C was in fact charged and working.

Is there anything I can do about this? I don't want to be without A/C or my vehicle for any length of time.

Thank you for your time.

To whom it may concern,

I am going to be straight to the point here. I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with JD Byrider's service department located at 15200 Lorain Ave. Cleveland Ohio 44111.

Earlier this year (I believe it was February or March as I can't find my service order) I brought my vehicle (Purchased 10/26/2013) in to have my engine replaced. Another shop/friend of mine told me my camshaft bearings were going so I had roadside service tow it to JD Byrider for confirmation. The service department then called me and said "We can't find anything wrong with it. The vehicle has been running fine" So I asked "Have you driven it?" the response was "No" so I told them to drive it to Kamm's corners and get back to me. (Driving it would heat the engine parts up and make the bearings expand upon which the engine would no longer have oil flow resulting in the engine sounding like a diesel because of friction) Service called me and said "looks like you need a new engine". It took them almost 3 weeks to do the engine swap. (In the defense of the service department they did have 4 other vehicles that also needed engines before mine so I can understand some of the delay) When it was all said and done me and a friend (Whom knows about cars more so than I do) asked the service manager "Did you replace the spark plugs/coils/wires?" Which we got the reply of "Yes, we changed them" (They visibly were covered in dirt/grease from sitting in the junkyard so that was an outright lie. I had my vehicle home for a short time (a week or less) and the driver's front of the engine would squeal on cold startup. Another call to the service department. "My engine is squealing, I think it may be the water pump" "Well bring it on in and we will look at it" I dropped it off that afternoon and it was checked over "Sir we can't seem to find anything wrong" "It only does it on a cold-start so you will have to let it sit over-night and see if it does it in the morning" The next morning "Yep sounds like your water pump" (You see a pattern here right? Why do I have to tell an ASE certified mechanic/service manager how to do their job?) The work order I have for the water pump, belts, water leaks ect is - Service in 3/30/2015 - Service Out 4/10/2015 (So it took 10 days to do my water pump) Now as a back story to all of this, When I first got my vehicle in 2014 and did my first oil change at the manufactured recommended mileage of 3000 miles (assuming that the engine had conventional oil in it) and after that oil change there was a slight ticking in the engine. I informed the dealership at that time and was told "Bring it in and we will look at it" I did and they told me "We ran some ""cleaner"" through it" I started it up and the "ticking" was gone... at least until the time I got home. By the time I drove home it sounded exactly the same as when I brought it in. (So in hindsight, That "ticking" was likely the bearings going bad even at that time. Whatever was in the oil when I bought it kept it quiet but when I did my oil change whatever was in the oil was removed and the "ticking" showed itself at that time)

Fast-forward to a couple months ago when the weather got warmer. I turned on my Air conditioner and to my surprise Warm air came out of it. I proceeded to check the pressure, Hmm no pressure in the cooling system. I then purchased a can of refrigerant at O'reiley's for $29.95 (I believe it was) and re-filled the cooling system. Still warm air, which means when my engine was swapped the cooling system was never evacuated and refilled. (Mind you that I had just had the A/C condenser replaced and the A/C evacuated and recharged and it was working fine before the engine swap.) (I realize A/C is not covered by my warranty but if it was working prior to having the engine swapped shouldn't it work after as well?) I called the dealership and got the usual "Bring it in and we will look at it" It was at that time that my workplace experienced an influx of work and I have been unable to take my vehicle up there thus far. (Which is fine I guess because...) about a month ago My check engine light would come on and my vehicle would idle rough on cold starts, the engine code coming up is for Cylinder 1 misfire (Remember those spark plugs/coils/wires we asked about when the engine swap was done?) Now this last week I have notice it is leaking oil from the driver's side front corner of the engine. (I can't see the exact spot but it looks a lot like the area of where the engine block meets the transmission. (Meaning when I schedule this to be done the service department will have to have it for a minimum of a week. If the seals/gaskets are to blame the engine will have to be removed and separated from the transmission to replace them. On top of the other work needed.

So that means in the three weeks the service department had it for the engine swap and ten days for the water pump, that is a Month I had no vehicle. Luckily I had a friend that let me use their "spare vehicle" in that time to get to and from work and to pick up my daughter on weekends. I no longer have that vehicle available to me.

The next round of service will be a week minimum though I could see it easily stretching into two weeks. If this is the case and I'm sure it will be, I would like to propose JD Byrider to at the very least provide me a rental or another vehicle during the time that mine is being repaired. I feel it is justifiable of me to ask this of JD Byrider due to the length of time I was without my vehicle already and due to the length of time you will next have it coupled with the fact that the oil leak and misfire could have been prevented by the service department.

If and when my vehicle is to be serviced I would like to request that it NOT be serviced by the Lorain Rd. Location. I would prefer anywhere but there.

The other resolution to this issue and the issues I'm having with my vehicle is for JD Byrider to find me another vehicle and to take my 05 Escape back.

However, if this is the case I would be willing to pay another three years on it, with the same warranty I have now (3 years/36000 miles) with the same or lower payment ($360.00 monthly) but only if it is a generation 2 escape 06-12 (before they went to the newest body style) or an 07 or newer Jeep Wrangler 4 door (Ideal).

I have provided you with the details of my service history on my vehicle and of my acceptable resolutions. I hope we can come to a suitable agreement on this issue. (This is my third vehicle through JD Byrider and by far my worst service experience thus far)

Sincerely,
Justin Naylor

I am writing to you again after having my vehicle serviced because it still has not been fixed properly. I had it in on Monday 8/27/2015 to be repaired for the same thing it was in for less than two weeks ago. (Misfire on cylinder 1 codes P0301 and P0316 and oil leaking from the driver's side front corner of the engine) I spoke with one of the service technicians who worked on my vehicle previously and he said it could be the injector on that cylinder and that they would replace it.

I left and was taken to pick up my rental vehicle. I heard nothing back from the service department until the following Thursday 9/10/2015 when they said it was done.

The cause of the oil leak was a clogged exhaust resonator (likely because of remnants of burned oil deposits from my old engine combined with putting the exhaust on the new engine from the junkyard and it having dirt or debris in it.

The resonator was replaced and I have not seen any oil leaking so far. (It took a week or so to leak last time it was "repaired" so I will keep watching it.)

However upon checking the obd codes after receiving my vehicle back it had pending codes for the misfire again. Then today (Saturday 9/12/2015) the check engine light came on after a cold start and the obd codes of P0301 and P0316 came up.

I have been patient and very forgiving during all the repairs of my vehicle but I'm now at the end of my rope.

I should not have to bring my vehicle in a million times to get it fixed and then a week or two later have to bring it in for the same thing. The misfire was not addressed or touched this time. That shows very poor service in my opinion.

I am done with this.

I think due to the way service has been handled and the repeated inconveniences that this has caused me that JD Byrider should at this point either buy my vehicle back from me at the current amount I have paid into my Financial Obligation minus service deductibles and allow me to terminate all ties to JD Byrider or should allow me out of my current Financial Obligation and put me in a vehicle of my choosing under the same terms as my current Financial Obligation.

This is my third vehicle and never has your service to your customers been worse.

I am resending this email (please see below) was sent last Saturday (9/12/2015) and I have not received any response. (I'm assuming that the email may not have been received.

In addition to the below complaints about service I'd like to add a few things.

In addition to my service complaint of the misfire condition of my vehicle not being taken care of while my vehicle was specifically in for service last time and nothing being done with it. ( I personally spoke with a technician who said that they worked on my vehicle previously and said that the injector probably needed to be replaced) I have on several occasions voiced concerns of a "pop" in my steering (Not addressed, which has been happening since I bought my vehicle) and driver's side wheel "noise" that occurs only at speeds of 55+ (or so) and only when steering to the right. (no "noise" when steering left) which started after my engine swap.

So far the only things that have been corrected are my air conditioning now works (only 1 service appointment to get it working) and my oil leak has stopped (so far. And only took 2 appointments to get that fixed correctly)

Response after the 9/18/2015 Email Received at 5:17pm via phone:

Phone Call from Bruce the service manager. "Bring it in and we will take a look at it"
I respond with "I need to get my work schedule and I'll get back to you."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9/21/2015

I get off work early and go to JD Byrider and speak with Bruce.
The conversation that took place consisted of me telling Bruce the problems listed in the 9/12/2015 and 9/18/2015 emails above.
*Misfire still present after service
*Steering "Pop" (Which has been present since original purchase)
*Drivers wheel noise (Present since engine swap)
*Air Bag Light (Now burned out and chiming at every start up and every 30 minutes of vehicle operation. The light was intermittently on since original purchase and finally burned out causing the chiming to start early this year)

It was too late in the day to arrange a rental vehicle that day so I was told to bring it in on Wednesday (9/22/2015) after work which I told Bruce was around 4pm (He scheduled me for 3pm anyways)

To whom it may concern,

I was scheduled for 3pm and arrived at 4:30pm [after driving back from Pittsburgh PA for work] and Bruce was out for an appointment. The Woman taking care of the desk looked up my information and told me she just removed it from the schedule. So she added everything back to the schedule and I inquired about getting a rental car again (as I have in the past few occasions) She contacted the General Manager and he told her he didn't know anything about it and that I would need to speak to Bruce about it. So I walked around to the offices and spoke to the General Manager myself about it. I was pretty much told that I would need to bring my vehicle in one morning and that they could have someone take me to work.
(Firstly that might work if the service department was open at 6:30am when I'm heading to work, but you aren't even open until 8am) [I have taken enough time out of my work schedule because of rental vehicles that were supposed to be ready [I was taken to Rent A Wreck (8/12/2015) and upon arrival learned No one contacted them, and no vehicle was ready] I was then taken to my workplace at approximately 9:15am (I should have been there by 8am, I actually should have started at 7am)
That was the first time a rental was offered / provided. It turned out that they would have to keep my vehicle (as I expected) for a longer time. I was told Enterprise would pick me up after work that day (It took nearly an hour between contacting JD Byrider so they could contact Enterprise and Enterprise actually arriving)

I had that rental for 3 days while my vehicle as serviced.
Rental number two was given to me after my complaint at the dealership service department. (8/27/2015)

[Because we don't even know how long it will take to service my vehicle] Prior to this I was given a rental with no questions asked because the service issues were the fault of JD Byrider. This time however, I was treated very "coolly" almost begrudgingly because of (As it was said to me) "You could have just come back to us or called us if the service performed on your vehicle was not satisfactory, but since you sent an email about it we will not give you a rental vehicle"

So the way I see this I am being told we will service your vehicle on our terms and not yours anymore. (Need I remind you that the continuing misfire on cylinder 1 is still the service department’s unresolved issue) Not to mention the other existing issues that have been brought up.
I will ask nicely one more time, (Not that I feel it will do any good) I would like my vehicle fixed correctly (To the point of having no issues relating to any and all issues I have brought to the attention of JD Byrider and it's service department) and provided with a rental vehicle while my vehicle is being serviced, or JD Byrider can follow one of the other resolutions I have made available to you.
Please also send this email to whomever is at the corporate level above the General Manager of the JD Byrider location at 15200 Lorain Ave. Cleveland Ohio 44111 so that they may be kept in the loop as to the events of what is happening with me and my service experience.
Sincerely,
Justin Naylor

J.D. Byrider complete rip off

This place is a complete rip off and their customer service skills are extremely poor. I purchased my vehicle in late November, 2014 and since then I've had nothing but issues with this vehicle. JD Byrider advertises their 3 year 36, 000 mile warranty, but what good is a warranty if they do not service your car? Every time I've spoken with a service team member they've told me I'd have to wait anywhere from two weeks to over a month to get my car into the shop, it's ridiculous. The funny thing is, my friend's warranty expired before she had any issues with her car and she called them to get her car serviced and they fixed her car that day! They told her that her warranty expired and let her know that she would have to pay for any work done to her vehicle. After she agreed they got her into the shop that day, but they're giving me the run around to get my car fixed.
If you have poor credit and very little for a down payment they are eager to help you, because they know in the end you won't be able to afford the vehicle. They go through this "extensive budget plan" to ensure you have enough money to afford the payments, but it's a bunch of bull. I informed the person doing my budget plan that my bills would not stay the same, I told her I'd soon be moving into my own two bedroom apartment which would at the very least run me $600 a month. Knowing this she said I would be fine and still sold me the car. Even before I moved into my own place I would hardly have enough to afford the car, I would literally be broke the day I got paid from work. They sold me a car that is worth $5700 for $11, 900 and after the interest I will be paying $16, 000 for a 2004 Chevy Impala. There are multiple issues that I've had with this car since the day I purchased it, and it's only getting worse. The sad part is no one will fix it!
I would strongly advise anyone looking for a car to stay clear of this place! They're crooks and prey on people that they know cannot afford their cars. They don't tell you how much the car is until you're filling out paperwork. I asked my sales rep before I even went to the financing to fill out my paperwork how much my car was and she said she didn't know. I would have to speak with someone from CNAC to figure that out. They wait until the very last minute to tell you how much the car is and they don't mention that you'll be paying three times as much for the car in the end if not more.
Save your money for a down payment and go anywhere but here. They're awful! They advertise low down payments, but they have differed down payments and I still ended up paying over $1000 for a down payment. You do not pay on the car until the interest is paid off so you won't even start paying on your vehicle until the amount of the interest is paid off.

J.D. Byrider ignorant and unprofessional staff

Unfortunately, I fell on hard times and was forced to purchase a vehicle from this company in order to get to work 50 miles away. My salesman was really nice but when I got the first reminder call about my note before it was due I knew I had made a mistake. I recently got a much better job with a different company with different pay dates. I informed the company that the first month the payments would be late but I'll be able to double up. This unprofessional, illiterate, collector (Brandy) and her equally pathetic supervisor (Heather) belittled, yelled, and threatened me over a $100 balance I had already told them would be paid the next business day. Not only did they do that but they proceeded to call my references and went into details regarding my account. I seriously regret doing business with a company that do not respect their customers. As I stated to the village idiots employed there it's amazing that the only extension that is ever answered is the one for collections but you van never get through or leave message to get your car serviced. And when I got it serviced elsewhere I was told I had voided my warranty. This company is a sad joke who take advantage of people in need. No morals and no scruples what so ever.

J.D. Byrider auto fraud

I purchased a vehicle with JD Byrider, which I was told was a 4WD by salesperson.
The time came to use the 4WD option as we are experiencing adverse weather conditions.
I could not figure out how to engage 4WD so I called dealership's service for help.
Upon arrival, the mechanic inspected vehicle and determined it was not 4WD.

You didn't check out the 4WD when you test drove it at time of purchase? Sounds like you got what you deserve. Don't be so helpless - take a little responsibility on yourself. It is shameful that you needed a mechanic to inspect it to tell you it wasn't a 4WD. If, however, the 4WD was defective, and didn't work, then that is a different issue and you may have a point.

J.D. Byrider angelo

I have been a customer of JD Byrider since 2012. I have had many reps dealing with my account. I ended up getting a change in account reps and I did not like it. I had asked for a specific person and did not get them. The manger picked up the phone and was very very rude, disrespectful, would not listen and very UNPROFESSIONAL! I am currently on the phone with the corporate headquarters. If this is not resolved I am contacting the BBB and my attorney. I am so tired of them. They change their rules daily without informing their customers and I am tired of it.

J.D. Byrider Unethical, borderline scam

Stay clear of these thieves. First, the contract is written so you have
the highest possibility of losing your car back to them. Any groups
that has no grace period as a policy knows that they will be
repossessing vehicles regularly. One they get them back, they will
garnish wages, even if they resell the vehicle for more than you owe.

I was told my vehicle had a clean Carfax. I find out that the Pontiac G6
I bought was in a pretty bad accident that was covered up.

The biggest issue was when my wife came down with breast cancer, and I
fell behind on paying due to medical expenses. I voluntarily returned the
car, in better shape than when I purchased it. I took the hit on my
credit, and was now short a vehicle. I will deal with that later - the
health issue was more important.

Now, I get a letter stating that they are garnishing my wages up to $450
a week! My wife's health will now suffer, and we will most likely lose
most everything we have. But JD Byrider, CNAC, Grace Finance Inc, ,
Jeffrey M Schneck of Phoenix (registered agent), Archie H. Wright of
Scottsdale (Secretary), and Robert J Hirst of Gilbert (President and
Director) will get their couple thousand dollars.

In a day where people have trouble making ends meet, the bottom feeders
like these guys should be avoided at all cost. I don't want to see
anyone else go through what I have.

I am sorry for what you are going threw.
Companies like this pray on people.
The worst part is the contract probably says that you owe all of the interest even if you turn in the car.

Good luck

J.D. Byrider Horrible Business Practices

I recently purchased from JD Byrider. They seemed nice at the dealership but ever since I came home the reps at CNAC have been horrible! They treat you like you are 5 years old and are stupid. I was recently late on a payment because the card that was set up for auto debit was deactivated due to a security breach through the bank. I tried to call and make the payment with a new card and they refused to take my payment telling me I would have to go into the lot and set up an appointment and explain why I was late! I already explained what had happened and had my new card in hand ready to set up a new auto debit with. I called back and talked to 4 different people and none of them would take the payment. I refused to set up an appointment and go into the lot to explain exactly what I was telling them over the phone! After another day passed a manager called me and accepted the payment. HE said they just wanted me to realize that being late was unacceptable and I needed to take this more seriously. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE! They have some very bad practices and harassment seems to be their priority!
