Basically A person say they are moving into your house and says the sends the money but before the money hits your account they want you to send money via Western Union to pay for shipping of their goods. You pay the money but you never get a credit into your account.

Thanks for your reply, am ok with the room 6 and i will transfer 3month rent with bond but i was just about to make the payment when i had this problem with my Mover agent, my Mover agent says i will need to pay for the move before they can schedule a time, they charged me $750 AUD for the move of my properties, and payments for Mover agent made to their agent Information who will move the properties down to your appt and the payments should be made through western union money transfer, So i will add the $750 AUD to the money i will transfer to your bank account as soon as i have made the payments, i will email you and let you know, please you will need to help me send the add fund to my Mover agent company through western union money transfer, this can be done from any post office, there is always western union money transfer section in most post offices(you can do it online as well at (www.westernunion.com), Note i will also send addition of $70.00 AUD as western union charges i would have done it myself but due to nature of my work as am at sea and didn't bring my credit card with me, i am a little incapacitated...

All you need to do is to go to the western union outlet with the cash, ask for money transfer form and then fill the form accordingly.

I also received a similar message from a Wu Wang in response to an advert for my flat.
The message was

I responded and gave her details of the rent. She responded with the following message-

The minute I saw a reference to PayPal i started smelling the Scam...though I was 'impressed' as they had attached the copy of the passport with the name of YI Wang and a valid Australian visa.

She sent me a text message today under this number: +[protected]
The +27 number is used in South Africa.
She told me that she has already transferred the funds to my PayPal account, but I have already closed that account a day prior to the said transfer, so there shouldn't have been any way the transfer was made.
I also have reported this to the Australian Consumer Commission's ScamWatch and I would urge you to do the same.
Please spread the word. This scam has to stop.
She sent me a text message today under this number: +[protected]
+27 numbers are from South Africa.
She told me she has transferred the funds. But I have already closed the PayPal accounts the day prior to that so it would have been impossible for the transfer to happen.
I have reported this incident to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's ScamWatch as well.
I hope others will read this as well. Please spread the word. This scam has to stop.
I received the first two emails from Melinda Waters today after posting on Allhomes.com.au. It sounded fishy to me so I went straight to Google and found this page. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

I received the paypal request but i need a kind favor from you and i will be happy if you can sort it out for me. I was just about to pay when i received an email from my shipping company, my shipping agent says i will need to pay for the moving before they can ship my items, they charge me $850.00 for pick up and delivery and payment must be made to the corporate international headquarters in Italy. The payment will be made via western union transfer. I will add $850.00 to my rent deposit making $5, 420.00 AUD in total which you will kindly help me to send the excess $850 to their corporate headquarters in Italy, i will send the funds through PayPal and email you to let you know when i am done with the transfer. This can be done by visiting any post office cos there is always western union agent there or (you can do it online as well at (www.westernunion.com), i will also include $90.00 for the western union money transfer charges.. I would have done it myself but i can't for some circumstances regarding my work schedule, i will appreciate your kindness regarding this. You will get a payment notification from PayPal immediately i transfer the funds.

Yeah Deborah Morris is the latest name. Once I cottoned on via this website. I wasted a lot of her time trying to send her the money with constant emails back and forth. I'm just pinged off! I let some really good housemates slide by because of this troll.
I just got this scam too. Apparently from "Deborah Morris". I thought it sounded a little off, and found this page by googling 'Maritime Coastguard Agency Finland'.

I have had the exact same correspondence. I was suspicious at first but gave her the benefit of the doubt at first but alarm bells went off as soon as the Western Union stuff was mentioned.
This has just happened to me, generally i google people before i give them any information. I can across this and have cut contact and added the email address to junk. This came through to me from allhomes.com.au
Wow. I'm currently looking for someone to fill my room, and I've been engaging in email correspondence with this Janet person. So far I've been refusing to allow her to let the room without meeting her - and am very surprised that she is actually part of a scam. Huh. She told me she was Finnish, working with some Finland maritime authority, will be arriving in Australia soon, etc. etc.
