I had very bad experience with J&P movers (Also known as JP Moving & Storage nad J movers) (Tel # 647 272 1234), they write guaranteed low rates and no surprises, yes they give low rate when comes to give you a quote but asked for extra money before unloading the stuff and dump the stuff and ran away if you pay them. The movers loaded my belongings onto the truck within 3 hours but after reaching the new residence, they said that they would need me to pay a deposit amount of $600 which is far more than they quoted my ($45 per hour and 3 hours of loading + 3 hours of unloading and 1 hour for commuting) total of $315. I said that I would pay him upon completion of the work based on the actual hours. At this point they became very aggressive with me, claiming that this is a standard practice in the industry and he will return the extra money if there is any after completing the job, and that he would not be responsible for any damage that occurred to my belongings. Once I paid them the deposit they just dump the stuff from the truck on my driveway and ran away with $ 600.
