Jamie is listed under 3 diff addresses. Once we arrived for the "boy"dog, she pushed her best sales pitch on my children explaining how you cant break up a family and the siblings need to be together. So after 30 min of begging from the kids I caved and left with 2 dogs! When it was time for them to get fixed, i was not able to drive my dogs to the "secret" clinic, nor be there for them when they came too. I was not privy to any information of there where abouts only that she has been doing this for yrs. and to trust her. After 4mo. of trying to make this work, we decided to make the 1hr. drive back to Jamie. She spoke on speaker promising my kids she would do everything in her power to keep them together. I couldn't even give the girl dog away, she was so territorial she was a liabilty for us. So promising the kids to keep the family together, we made the drive down there only to get my car window smashed into and 2 purses stolen within min of our arrival. She took the 2 dogs and within minutes left for lunch leaving myself and friend frantic, crying and to deal with police. she got what she wanted and left! so instead of doing what is best for the dogs who lived for each other, she cashed out and split them up! i also got a chuckle out of her videos "back in the day" of course she rescues the mommy dog because shes got a sack of gold in her belly! she is also the most expensive pet rescue around south fla. so if you use her remember she is a business woman first. Just by seeing her lack of compassion or concern for the situation that happened on "her property" makes me scratch my head how she has any concern for an animal?

I am trying to find ways to leave reviews for Jamie's rescue. Our experience was awful! & luckily, we have found and are in communication with the puppies from the same litter. They are have had terrible experiences. Jamie gave us sick puppies. She did not vet them properly. 2 weeks after bringing our pup home, she was sent to the hospital and have 3 different strains of parasites. 2 weeks after that ear mites took over. Now, 2 months later, we discovered she has mange.

All the other puppies from the litter have dealt with ALL the same things. We initially contacted Jamie about this, and she swore our dog was the only sick puppy. SHE IS A LIAR.

We never brought our pup back to her for any of the follow up shots. But many of the other puppy parents took their pups back to her for the shots, deworming and nail clippings. Two of them left with bleeding pups after nail trimmings.

Jamie is not trust worthy and is taking advamtage of puppies and people trying to adopt. She also charges $500 for an adoption! The whole thing is shady.

DO NOT ADOPT FROM HER!

I'm truly sorry for the experience you had. Unfortunately, it was opposite of the one I experienced. I reached out to Jamie when I received an adopt-a-pet email listing available dogs in South Florida. I had been trying to adopt for almost a year and submitted MANY applications only to hear back from 2. The first rescue had a very strict policy, long several page questionnaire, and multiple home visits. The dog that we intended to adopt was not a good fit for our home or family. Now, I wasn't happy when I didn't get a call back or a second interview. I thought I was a good person who loves her dogs and provides a safe, secure, and loving environment. But even though I was little mift and offended because again...I'm wonderful...I didn't go on social media or the internet to blast the rescue for being very selective with whom they place dogs. Instead, I accepted that that dog wasn't the one for me.
Several months later, I found Jamie's Rescue. Without going into a long detailed story that would rival War and Peace, I can say that I am the proud own of two rescue dogs. They are amazing and a wonderful addition to our family. I can attest without a doubt that Jamie is invested -- financially and emotionally -- in the dogs. She is available if you have any questions and not ONE single time did she pressure me. She was patient and available always.
Rescuing a dog is not for everyone. These dogs come with an unknown history. Even if the mother gives birth at a rescue, her history is generally unknown. Puppies are rescued from puppy mills and farms. Animals services often places mothers with her young pups in rescues to take them off death row. Yes, puppies generally have a more hefty adoption fee attached to them and that fee goes to fund the care for those dogs that are unlikely to find their furever fur family. It goes to fund medical treatment for those animals that are or get sick. Those who have an issue with this, shouldn't rescue. People who have an issue with the guidelines or policy of a rescue, shouldn't rescue or find another rescue that is more lenient or perhaps has the right dog for you.
I've recently recommended Jamie's Rescue without hesitation o a couple friends who are looking to adopt a dog. I am confident that at the right time, with the right dog, everything will pan out. In my experience, Jamie's Rescue is a cage-free, organic/grain free rescue that seeks to place dogs of all ages in the right home. Jamie is available and does her part to ensure that the dogs are vetted and spayed/neutered. Jamie is always available by phone and you can stop by the Rescue by appointment and see her and the dogs. She is fair and honest and once again, I give her my full support and endorsement.

Jamie's rescue, why do you only have puppies? Do you breed them? It seems a bit odd. I thought about adopting from you but questioned how a rescue organization can only have puppies. Not trying to be rude, just want a serious answer.

She only takes puppies, never an adult dog. She is extremely aggressive about the rehoming fee which is $350 dollars. I've been there, I was sent by another rescue (they simply didn't have the space). That rescue has stopped sending puppies to Jamie. Why? Because she runs her business much like a puppy mill. Furthermore, she told me she actually goes to some street market every Sunday to sell puppies. Yes sell! She used the word. While I agree, anyone who drops their dog off at her place so she can arrange for what they suspect is a not up to par secret clinic is a not very responsible dog owner. I would never leave any of my dogs anywhere if I weren't comfortable. She is pushy and she is dishonest in my opinion. Last thing: she never vets anyone who wants to buy not "adopt" a dog from her. THAT is not dog rescue behavior. For those who gave positive reviews, I couldn't help but read how happy you were with your pet. If it worked out for you, great! But let's face it was the dog that worked out for you not Jamie's Rescue. Sadly, her business DOES exist and those puppies do deserve a home. Their misfortune is to have landed with her. It's a toss up whether it works out or not for them. Why? Because she doesn't vet the adopters. If you don't vet the adopters, then you are only risking the well being of the puppy you rescued. She doesn't vet. That is wrong for a rescue. She doesn't care. Why? Because she is a puppy mill.

I am a foster for Jamie's rescue. These complaints slay me. They're so far off, I don't even know where to start. She is so dedicated to the health and well being of every dog she takes in. She rescues these dogs from dumpsters, boxes on the side of the road, tomato patches, all day long she gets calls with people finding puppies. Recently, a family with 2 Jack Russell Terriers bred them. They had 5 puppies. At one week old, they gave 3 of the puppies to neighbors and moved out of town. The puppies were fading fast without their Mom. Luckily they called Jamie...she took them all and had them bottle fed. When you rescue...you rescue. It's a crap shoot. You don't what's going on sometimes. It takes time for some illnesses to show up in dogs. Don't be so quick to judge till you've spent a day in her shoes. Someone mentioned these puppies being cash cows...minimum, after the vet visits, treating parasites, vaccinations, medication, chipping, spaying or neutering, food, rehabilitating, it's usually a minimum of $500, and usually closer to $1000.00 per dog. So many tick and flea diseases to tresat here in Florida. These dogs would die without her. She works EVERY day of the week for these dogs. EVERY DAY...

I would like to share my experience with Adopting a puppy from Jaimie's Rescue. I contacted Jaimie about a female heeler cross and we decided to meet that sat at the farmers market. Jaimie reassured me that if I was not interested in adopting after seeing the puppy in person, not to worry because there was two other interested people. I had first dibs since I called first and boy was I glad I did. LSS, this little girl is a treasure! We call her Rumba and she is a hoot! Now let be tell you, I was initially concerned after hearing the story of how she and her litermates were found roadside after the mom was hit and killed and because Rumba was so weak from flea infection, she needed a blood transfusion which she got a few days before I first saw her. I had concerns about her health and Jaimie took us to her vet and got another recheck and more blood work, which she paid for. I was able to get copies of her previous vet work ( transfusion cost over $800) and the vet was happy with how Rumba looked and the current blood work too! Jaimie wanted to keep rumba a few days to a week more but after talking and seeing that I was earnest in maintaining the puppy's care, she let me take her home that day. I was both nervous and overjoyed and am happy to report that little Rumba is doing great! She is very social and gets along well with our dogs ( also heelers) and has had excellent visits with our own vet. She is a wonderful little girl but let's remember that puppies need that time to. Housebreak, train and socialize. It's a lot of work and time and you must stay dedicated to making the best your dog can be. we love our little Rumba and are so glad she came into our lives! In my experience, Jaimie stayed true to her word and we wound up with a really cool dog.

I adopted a puppy from Jaime's rescue a year ago. Not only was she a healthy little pup but she was loved just like she was one of Jaime's own by her and her staff. I was given information on shots and all veterinary visits on paper, was asked all the important questions that should be asked when adopting out and had to sign off on the fact that I would only return the puppy to her if at any point I couldn't keep. If you aren't a rescue person then you don't know the work, care, stress and heart break that goes into it and Jaime has given her life to this cause. Things can happen, it's a cruel world, but to blame someone who gives her all to rescue and place animals is just not right. There hasn't ever been a time when I've seen Jaime that she doesn't ask me how my little dog is. Not only is she always there being a place of help but she also does fund raisers so that she can continue. Can you think of any time when she isn't doing something for the homeless and helpless? To attack someone with a heart for this work is unfathomable to me.
Keep up the amazing work Jaime. You added so much joy to my home with the love you rescued. I will forever be grateful.

Anyone who can bash an animal loving, sweet, compassionate lady, such as Jaime, needs to reexamine their own souls! This sweet lady has dedicated her entire life to saving abused dogs! She WILL NOT allow any of these precious dogs go to just anyone and I know that because we adopted a beautiful female American bulldog that was promised to a couple that drove from Key West to adopt her. The couple started arguing right in front of Jaime and saying things that Jaime determined would not be in the best interest of the dog. So, LUCKY for my daughter and me, we had inquired about this precious dog. Jaime called us and after several phone interviews with Jaime and a great reference from adopt@thisisthedog.com, we made the three hour drive from Orlando. Jaime is just a doll and was so honest and kind! She has over an acre that these beautiful rescued dogs to run free on and to get a second chance at life and a FOREVER loving home. She has no problem turning unsuitable people away. She loves each and every one of these dogs...and every single one loves her! She is truly an angel to these and many more abandoned & abused dogs. We visited for awhile and just fell in love with our new puppy AND JAIME! All our dogs are rescues and believe me...it takes a special person to rescue because it's really dedicating your life to a cause you're passionate about. It's hard, hard work & very expensive! As Jaime walked us out, puppy in my daughters arms, I hugged Jaime and told her THANK YOU ! As She told us goodbye, she kissed our new pup with tears rollng down her face. I called her when when we arrived home to make sure SHE was ok...she was so grateful to have her rescued pup going to another doggie angel, my daughter & me. We still keep in touch and share photos of the bebas growing! I challenge ANYONE TO SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT JAIME AND HER EFFORTS TO SAVE DOGS! YOU ARE WRONG! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND JAIMES RESCUE! WITHOUT HER, WHERE WOULD THESE PRECIOUS LOVING DOGS BE! SHAME ON ANYONE WHO WOULD PUBLICLY SAY ANYTHING BUT PURE KINDNESS, LOVE, and A PASSIONATE SWEET LADY WHO BUSTS HER ### WILLINGLY AND FOR THE LOVE OF ANIMALS EVERYWHERE! JAIMES RESCUE IS ONE OF THE BEST! WE LOVE YOU JAIME AND WE LOVE WHAT YOU DO! WE SUPPORT & RESPECT ALL YOUR EFFORTS! WE KNOW THE HARD WORK YOU DO! KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO...THESE DOGS DEPEND ON YOU! ️Xoxo

I am writing this in response to the posting on Dec. 20th by BarbieR. We understand that she may be upset about what happened but the issue of the dog getting distemper does not have anything to do with Jamie's rescue and I am quite confident that Jamie did everything she could do to help save your dog. I KNOW THIS AS A FACT. You may wonder how I can say this. My wife and I adopted a dog from Jamie's rescue that got quite sick shortly after we adopted her and it took two months for the dog to recover. We contacted Jamie and she immediately stepped up to help us. Jamie spent well over $1, 000 OUT OF HER OWN POCKET and told the vet to spare no expense to save the dog. Jamie followed up routinely with us to find out what was going on and how the dog was doing. Jamie clearly cares about the pet she rescues and took extraordinary steps to help ensure our dog recovered. If BarbieR took the time to read the adoption papers she signed, as we did, they say the Jamie is not responsible for the health or condition of the dog. This is because they are rescue dogs not a breeder. Even though she didn't have to she stepped-up and took on responsibility to help our dog recover and if you are honest with yourself you would recognize she did the same with you. We highly recommend Jamie's Rescue as a place to adopt a dog.

PLEASE CONTINUE ADOPTING FROM JAIME'S RESCUE! To the person that posted the comment on December 20th, 2014. I am really sorry that you experienced the agony of your puppy going through distemper, but this is not Jaime's fault. This is my first time going on this site and defending her - she rescued the puppies - it is not like you got the puppy from a breeder! If you researched anything regarding distemper, you will find that puppies can get the virus within a week of being born. NO RESCUE group can control where a puppy has been in its first few weeks of life or what elements they have been in contact with. It is totally unfair to bash her on the internet and your very first words are "Please don't adopt a pet from this woman." This is terrible. I also Rescue cats and dogs and I can tell you that ours is not an easy task. Jaime has dedicated her life to rescuing dogs with a big heart and more-often-than-not, empty pockets, but she takes care of all the animals. The reason to keep the "vet a secret" is that the vet does give her a break because she brings in so many animals and so do they give me a break too. Distemper is not something that we as rescuers can foresee or control- sometimes the doctor gives them the shots and they still develop the virus - it is heartbreaking, but please do not blame Jaime. Also, as I understand it and know, she paid everything, so I do not know what expense you are writing about. This is ludicrous and it has to stop. There have been several undeserving complaints posted as I read through all of them. There is no way to bring back your puppies and I can empathize with you as I too, a person whom has been rescuing and adopting dogs and cats for years, when through the agony of losing a black beautiful retriever at 5.5 months old and I took him to Biscayne Animal Hospital at the time and just because he died and I spent a fortune on Timber, I cannot bash and blame Biscayne Animal Hospital. The truth is that your pet's life was shortened by a cruel virus of which we humans have no control over. "The truth shall set you free..." The truth is that Jaime is a wonderful spiritual human being whose purpose on earth is to care and love the four legged friends, Creatures of the Grand Designer, whom many of us humans just don't care about. I can tell you have a compassionate heart and I do pray that you do adopt another puppy or dog... The truth is that you are venting your anger on the internet and I am sorry for your loss and your pain. I pray you find the strength to forgive the impotence of any of us to help puppies with distemper and the wisdom to know that the best was done to save your puppy. As for Jaime, I pray that you continue doing your wonderful, diligent work with the pooches and that all your pets get adopted to caring and loving homes. Amen!

Please don't adopt a pet from this woman. There are many other places where you can go and adopt a dog where you will not be mislead. We unfortunately have gone through a horrible experience with her and lost our puppy to distemper after much, much sorrow and heartbreak as well as huge expenses. I can go into all sort of details about all the lies and indiscrepancies we had to deal with, but I am sure Jamie's friend who seems to be the one that replies to all the people who have multiple issues with her, will reply with more excuses and/or lies. I will say that everything mentioned from other people regarding their experience such as the secrecy about the vet, the health of the puppy etc is all true.
So all I can say is that I hope no one goes to her and that the poor animals that are with her are given to another rescue. I would hate for another family to go through what we had to go through. In life, there are people who are doing things for truly the right reasons and those who do it to just get notoriety and come out in newspapers etc. I just have one last thing to say to Jamie and her friends "the truth shall set you free."

I happened to get in contact Jamie from a woman I met at an animal hospital. My family had recently rescued a malnourished mother dog and two of her puppies from a neglectful neighbor of ours. Within a month, Riley succumbed to parvo and his brother Shadow had just tested positive for it as well and was starting to show symptoms.

My family had very little money to get Shadow the proper care he needed and a woman that happened to be there referred me to someone who knew Jamie. She had hoped maybe they could help me with my situation. Within a few hours, Jamie reached out to us and the next day I went to her vet to admit Shadow for treatment and I paid what I could. Jamie also kept in contact with us to see how he was doing.

Thanks to Jamie and her rescue, my family was able to get Shadow the treatment he needed to get better. Within the week I was able to bring him home. Now he is back to his old playful and happy self and I am most grateful to Jamie and her rescue. Without them, we may have lost Shadow as well. THANK YOU, JAMIE'S RESCUE!

Let me share my experience with Jamies rescue.I have been a volunteer for the last 3 years, every week-end at the Hollywood Farmers Market aka..Yellow/Green Farmers Market. I have never, ever known Jamie to adopt out a sick puppy. You have to realize, these puppies are found in trash cans, dumpsters, along the side of the road in plastic bags, being fed to the alligators in the Everglades for sport..the list goes on and on..Jamie rescues these discarded babies, nurses them back to health, takes them to the vet if they are sick (her vet bills are astronomical (so don't even complain about the adoption fee, 1 puppy adopted saves the life of another)
Fleas and ticks, this is Florida, they abound here..I have indoor cats that have gotten fleas and ticks..they come in on your shoes and pant legs. All puppies are scrutinized for these critters before they are let go to their adopted home..we do the best we can..Jamie has spent hours and hours removing them, a recent litter came in that were heavily infested. Did Jamie get to sleep that night? No, the puppies came first, So, you are almost right when you say it's Jamies passion to find a loving home for these adorable babies, NOT her urgency to get rid (I hate that word) of a sick puppy. Jamie would never knowingly adopt out a sick puppy..they can be fine for days or even weeks after adoption but they can get sick.(think the flu in humans, there is an incubation period). I have known Jamie to go out of her way as far as paying the vet bills. She has never turned her back on a sick puppy.I'm happy your puppy is now healthy but you may never have gotten to know him/her if it wasn't for Jamies Rescue. Oh, and as far as being aggressive and pushing you to the ATM, wrong!we are just so happy that someone who called and actually showed up may be adopting one of these precious babies... and I, Marilyn Curran am so happy to have found a purpose in helping Jamie save these wonderful babies...

I wanted to share our experience with adopting a dog from Jamie’s rescue. We found our dog that we wanted to adopt on an advertisement on Craig’s list. We had several conversations with the owner letting her know what type of dog we were interesting in adopting. During our conversations with Jamie, she tried to convince us into considering a different type of dog, she felt like a small breed of dog would be more suitable for us since we did not have a yard. We were persistent in expressing our interest in a medium size dog so Jamie asked us to come and visit her at the Hollywood Farmer market. Once we committed to a day, Jamie stated that we would have several dogs for us to meet and several dogs for us to choose from. When we arrived at the market the owner only had brought one dog that matched our request. When we identified out selves as the couple she had been speaking too, she quickly placed the beautiful puppy in our arms, told us that it would cost $350 for the adoption and directed us to the nearest ATM. I was taken back at Jamie’s aggressiveness with the adoption, she literally threw the dog at us and asked for the money. I am still unsure if it was her passion for her cause or her urgency to get rid of a sick dog.
Once we got home with our newly adopted puppy we began to notice several bumps in the dog’s fur. After investigating further, we discovered that our newly adopted puppy was infested with ticks. We immediately took the dog to the vet the next day to have her treated. It took 6 weeks and several hundred of dollars to get our puppy tick free. Not only did we have to continue to treat the dog, we had to have our home treated for tick infestation as well and the expenses continued to compile. The puppy that we adopted had to be treated for several other medical issues, her incision from being spayed was infected, she had parasites in her intestines, she was sneezing blood and the list goes on and on. We are now $1500 + into medical expenses after our adoption but our puppy is finally healthy. We are completely in love with our puppy but we want other potential families to be aware and cautious before adopting from this rescue. Jamie was so quick for us to take the puppy, obviously knowing that the puppy was not in the best condition. We called her to let her know that the dog was infested with ticks. She claimed that she did not know and that she was sorry and she was quick to end the phone call. I am certain that other dogs that are in the rescue are infested with ticks. The first night we got her home we pulled at least 25 ticks out of her fur. I highly encourage other families considering adoption to be cautious before getting an animal from this rescue. Please take the time to examine the dog before you adopt and be prepared to invest a great deal of time and money to make sure that you can nurture your dog to health!

I am one who totally disagrees with the negative comments towards Jamie. I was fortunate enough to meet her over 7 years ago when I adopted one of my angles from her and have gone on to adopt 2 more since. I have had to opportunity to spend time with her and know what type of caring person she is. I now live in the Glades and quite frequently come across abused, abandoned and neglected dogs and puppies. I am able to help these Dogs because every time I have called Jamie, she tells me to bring them to her. No mater how sick or injured they are, she takes care of them. I know how many thousands of dollars she spends in order to help them! She runs a very clean and kennel free place. She has made me aware of some of the unfortunate things that have happened and I know how it breaks her heart. If not for Jamie's Rescue, I would not have my angles nor would so many needing Dogs have their new Forever Home. I know how selective she is when placing one of her 'babies' and have seen her turn people away if she did not feel it was in the best interest of the Dog to go to that home. She cares deeply for each and every one of them! I have seen her so over-run with Dogs and Puppies yet open her home and heart to another mother with a litter of 10, all the while running to take half a dozen for shots, another 5 for spaying and neutering and that many more to a vet for treatment for an illness or
injury. Unfortunately, not all outcomes come out happy but I know how she cries when sad things happen. And I know how thrilled she is when the outcome is great, as it usually is.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but my experiences with Jamie have been so different than this complaint. I adopted a dog from Jamie in September 2010. She is the love of our lives. She was an angel puppy and it was obvious she was raised in a calm and loving environment. Jamie made no sales pitch to us. You only have to spend five minutes with her to see she loves animals that's why she does what she does. People may mistake a sales pitch for being passionate and she is very passionate. When we were ready to adopt a second one we looked at multiple sources. We met puppies that were aggressive and rescues where they couldn't care less who took their dogs. None of the puppies we encountered were as loving and docile as Jamie's rescues so we reached out to her again. Not only was she excited to have us back, she got to meet the puppy we first adopted from her. I know she could see how loved and pampered our dog is and you could see how happy that made her. Yesterday we took another baby home and our experience was exactly the same. Jamie cares about her dogs. She cares about her clients. She cares about her rescue's long term care. She asks questions about your home and tries to fit you with the right dog. I don't know Jamie other than my experiences with her and I absolutely can say if there's ever an occassion where we want another or know of anyone who does there's only one way we would go and that's right back to Jamie's.

Ii just wrote here and it accidently got deleted when I tried to add a pic of my pup.?
I had to write after reading what that woman said about jamie.
I was blessed to meet jamie not only for adopting my wonderful puppy bo but to know there's a true angel that truly loves these dogs! I got the opportunity to get a glimps into the window of jamie's world. her home is their home she is just blessed to live there with them. their not in cages like most rescue groups including humane society, aspca etc.
They live with her, they have lots of out door free running areas, clean! food, water, tree shaded. seperate areas sheltering puppies., and lots and lots of love., she is their mother, you can see when she calls them they all come running to her with such happiness!
The adoption fee sounds like alot but... she includes their deworming, shots, spaying and is there for you after you adopt a puppy or dog. I was one of those people that asked for a discount when I was adopting, now feeling so ashamed. 2days after I adopted bo he wasn't feeling well, jamie said"bring him to me" we went to her vet, bo was treated and jamie paid the bill without hesitation!
When he was spayed yesterday we went to vet, it's no big secret the vet prefers it that way it's notjamie hiding anything.
Let me tell you jamie spends hundres if not thousands on these abused unwanted dogs. for instance she rescued a dog that some so called human being allowed a spiked choker to become embedded so deep in his neck it had to be cut off by a vet, this same dogs hips were so bad the vet said either she has to be put down or it will cost over 5 thousand dollars, after giving her a small discount she paid the thounds and jamie still has and loves this dog!
She just rescuded a litter of beautiful puppys that another so called human being tossed into the glades locked in a cage withe one puppies foot jammed inz the locked cage, jamie and the vet are trying to save his swollen black foot?
So... how can you judge jamie until you meet her and be lucky enough to get a glimps into her life,, and believe someone who cast aside puppys she adopted and either killed or returned? we don't get to meet that person or glimps into her life. I tell you this, when good people meet good people you know each other, from the moment I met jamie I knew shw had a good heart and soul.
This would be alot longer if all her puppies and dogs she's saved could type or talk. :) :) smile god loves you and he gave this world jamie. sincerly donna

We just adopted a puppy from Jamie yesterday, she never pushed anything on us, I fell in love with another dog that she had there and if we had already our mind set in our baby, I would have taken the other dog with me. He was the sweetest dog ever and it broke my heart to know that he did not have a family. I have no complaints towards Jamie, only to say that she was very nice, polite and super sweet. By the way, DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY IDEA how much is to care for several dogs per month, well, I know... So, her $300 is not a big deal at all, and if you can pay $ 300 for the adoption do not even think about getting a dog, It will be much more expensive than that, or whenever you new dog get sick, what are you going to do? Do you guys have any idea how many dogs are killed every year? 6-8 million, so before bashing someone who tries to help, think twice.

My complaint is that the internet allows a fortune for people to say anything they like about a person or a business no matter how damning and without any background information. I don't know much about this woman, Jamie other than the little I read in her bio and I have to think that she is a person of integrity and of good character. You do not get to fly around on air force one without being thoroughly checked out. She has had an impressive career. It doesn't sound to me like she needs to be selling dogs to make living.

My question is: When do people start taking responsibility for themselves and their own actions. I recently took a puppy from Jamie. I don't believe that she mislead me in any way. I was getting a puppy-period. No guarantees. If it didn't work out she would take the puppy back. Puppies are a lot of work and they require a lot of attention. A lot. If you can't handle it, don't take them. They are not cheap either. If you are not willing to care for them don't take them. I don't know what the deal is with this "secret" neutering but if I am not comfortable with it, when the time comes I will take the puppy elsewhere. He has become a part of our family. If I am not comfortable with Jamies arrangements I will make my own.

Just so you know that the mother of this complaint, she was not allowed to return the dogs because of the rehoming fees. Rather than pay those fees she drowned the dogs in a sack. At least they are in a better place now. I was disgusted by what she did to those dogs and called the police on her. She lied and said that one of the dogs was aggressive in hopes that Jamie would waive the $25 fee. Rather than pay the $25 to get rid of the dogs she choose to drown them to save the fee. She then told her children the dogs ran away.

I read this and had to laugh... in july of 2010 i adopted a "weimaraner" mix puppy from jamies rescue... once it was time to get the puppy fixed i brought her and my other two chihuahuas to get fixed. When i got to jamies house i told her that my dog has seperation anxiety andbis a handful i asked if i could help and just follow her to the "secret" clinic she refused and said she does this all of the time. Well guess what one of my chihuahuas got away from her and ran across opa locka blvd and got killed by a car. And then to top it off ahe tried blaming it on me because the collar wasnt tight eniugh! Some nerve of this woman! And now the puppy i adopted from her has had many mediclal problems from day one. And is very territorial to other dogs. She actually attacked and killed my other chihuahua a month ago! I love this dog very much but i do regret ever adopting a dog from this lady! If you are reading this jamie i would atleast like to know if you honestly have any othet true information on this dog that i adopted from you because it would be nice to know if you had the mother and if so what kind of dog was she hoestly and did she have any medical issues?

This is something I have decided to do in response to the complaint filed before because, I think it is only fair if someone decided to bash someone's name on the internet - they are prepared for the real story to come out.
This woman who made the complaint, who claims Jamie "pushed her best sales pitch" - it should be noted it was your children that wanted them, they begged for you to adopt them both & so you did - THE END.
Jamie had her reservations about this woman to begin with, because prior to this she had adopted 2 dogs & got rid of them down the road because it was "too much" for this mother. However, Jamie agreed to meet the family and give them a chance- after seeing how happy her boys were when they held those dogs, Jamie felt assured they would be getting a good home.
4 MONTHS down the road Jamie gets a call from this mother - claiming that it is "too much" for her and she needs to now bring the dogs back.
Anyone in Rescue will tell you finding a home for a puppy and finding a home for a MUCH bigger rescued puppy is really hard, none the less close to impossible to keep two big rescue dogs together.
Jamie agreed for the good of the dogs to take them back & told the woman there would be a $25 rehoming fee ( which goes to help with food & whatever is needed in their stay at the rescue ). This woman then pulls up gets out of the car w/ a friend and proceeds to drag the two dogs into Jamie's Rescue - once again separating her sons from dogs they definitely loved.
While this woman came in she left her purse in her car & told Jamie when she walked into the rescue she would not be giving her a penny. When this woman returned to her car - her window had been broken and her purse was stolen - QUESTION #1. who leaves their purse in their seat in MIAMI ? & doesn't expect it to get stolen?
QUESTION #2. If this woman would have given the $25 rehoming fee which was THE RIGHT THING TO DO, would she of ever gotten her purse stolen?
I the volunteered actually pulled up as this woman was still there & had called the cops to make a police report - not only was I disgusted by her for what she did to those dogs - I can tell you she was not a nice woman.
For the record both dogs got GREAT HOMES & this woman even claimed that one was aggressive - & not only were they the sweetest most loving dogs - they both obviously ended up in a better place -
So SHAME ON YOU - for going to a public place like the internet and bashing a RESCUE that does amazing things for dogs & puppies that would otherwise never find loving homes or have a second chance.
p.s. not only is Jamie a cage free, clean, happy rescue - her adoption fee is actually lower then most rescues and all dogs come mircochiped, w/ vaccines, and spayed or neutered.
I hope anyone who read the above complaint - now has a better understanding

xoxo!
