International Speakers Network

did not provide services I paid for
Complaint Rating: 88 % with 8 votes
Company information:
Innovators Group, ISN
United States
The International Speakers Network convinces you they can help speakers market their speaking services, and charges a lot of money to develop mailings, sell sheets, and other marketing materials. But they don't actually perform any of the marketing services speakers pay them for. yes, they will print materials, but they take a lot of money to distribute those materials which are never distributed. They have several names like ISN, Book a Speaker. net, Innovators Group and others. Learn more about them at http://burnedbyisn.blogspot.com/ You'll see that they have a horrible track record with the Better Business Bureau, too.

I too got burnt...They have a great sales pitch and their websites look good too...but be aware that some of their sites do not tell you anything about who is running the place... no names no addresses ...but the phone pitches are great and they get you hook, line and sinker...

Dear Laugh Leader,

I disagree as on the ISN (International Speakers Network) and their divisions website their is a letter from their President and a contact page that lists their entire staff and their emails and address.

Did you do business with them?

As I have been doing business with them for over 2 years now, with no problems only positive results.

I contemplated doing business with another company in the same town Willow Mist who the owner used to work for ISN. Upon my due dillegence I found out Brenda Keefer had a crimanal record. This was prior to working at ISN and when I inquired with my ISN Rep they were unaware of her crimanal past when hired and that was one of the reasons she was let go and branched on her own now.

My advice is do your due dillegence and check again.

Burned By ISN,

I checked with the Better Business Bureau today and they have "B" rating. I do not think that qualifies as a bad rating since they have been in business for a long time. : )

I've had horrible experiences with them - promises that the book I contributed to will be"out this afternoon" for a year, no speaker gigs, bogus leads, an expensive One Sheet that looks awful, lies, lies, and more lies when I call to ask what's up. And excuses including words about what good Christians they are to boot!!

Judging from complaints all over the web and my own experience, the Better Business Bureau just isn't where people are turning which is a shame because they're one of the few contacts that can possibly intervene to make a change. Anyway, I don't know how you can maintain a B rating when 6 out of 15 complaints went unresolved.

Fish rots from the head down - no matter what name you trade with it under, this company stinks from top to bottom.

They persuaded me that they were a speakers bureau, that had a long list of regular companies and firms within my narrow industry that regularly sought them for bookings. Turns out, they just upsell and upsell and upsell their additional services, e.g. marketing brochures, DVDs, conferences. And once I complained, Jeanne Baach never returned my calls and emails. Emails to the other members of the leadership all go directly to her. I wonder if David and some of the others even exist?

Here's more information on ISN Works (as they are now known) and Brenda Keefer with Willow Mist Professional Services.
