I went online to check my bank acct and found that there are charges going to my acct of $14.95. I do not understand why. My husband nor I ever approved for the monies to come out. Now my acct bounced from this transaction. $61 overcharge fee. This is rediculous. They should not be allowed to take the monies and should have to pay the monies back that were taken without consent. I see at least three times when they took the monies. that is $105.85 that should not be on me.

hi i just saw the site and the website was showing free credit score check without any charge for 30 days then after we will take charge but it charged to me from my account by direct debit thats the cheating with the costumer this is fraud site i need refund my money otherwise i will take strickley step against this company. it charged to me £19.95 pls refund me .

NOTHING IS FREE at Experian. It is a company that does not protect consumers but rather they prey on them. Recently, I went on to the "FreeCreditreport.com website to obtain my credit scores (not credit reports which are free). Anyway, they had an offer to access the actauly details behind my credit scores for a charge of $1 dollar. So, I agreed to that $1 charge and provided my credit card information. The next month, when I checked my credit card bill, I noticed a $29.95 charge from Experian (which was in addition to the $1 I agreed to pay). I called them immediately and complained. They told me I had signed up for a premium credit monitoring service and that I had agreed to these charges because I did not uncheck a box on the website and that the $29.95 was non-refundable. I got angry. Here is a company that is supposed to be protecting consumers by providing information and here they are preying on consumers with misleading charges on the website. It took 20 minutes but I finally got them to reverse the charge but what a hassle. Steer clear of Experian, they only want to pick your pocket..

Upon request I was sent an online credit report, in reviewing the report there are a couple of significant credit card vendors missing and I would like to know why they were not included in the
report? Quite difficult to research the answer to my question since there was no Credit Report # issued.

I was not given Credit Report # for reference. The report was created by free credit report.com., this omission makes the enquiry more difficult as the credit bureaus seem to do consistently.

An expedient useful reply will be appreciated,

In order to retrieve my credit report from this agency for $1, I was required to leave my CC information in order to "try" out their Experian Consumer Direct credit report monitoring service for 7 days. This was on July 10th, 2012. I sent an email to cancel on July 16th, 2012 officially cancelling the (useless) service. I received an email in return with a confirmation number stating that I should not be charged because I had cancelled within the 7 day trial period. Mind you, on the FAQ's/Terms and Conditions page of their website, it is stated that the first 48 hours your membership are used for "processing"--and it stated that you have 5 days of actual use, but 9 days to cancel. I did not wait longer than necessary. Of course, I was charged the 17.95 on July 17th, 2012, although I had cancelled in time. When I called the Customer Service number (which was difficult to find, as was the email contact--neither were listed conspicuously on Experian's website) and spoke to a representative with a thick accent named Carol. At first, she tried to tell me that the charge was just, because the 16th was the 7th day of the trial, but I countered that by reminding her my cancellation email was sent that day, and Experian's response email verified that service was terminated within the time period. I was put on hold for a couple minutes while she conferred with her supervisor. Upon Carol's return, she informed that the 17.95 would be refunded, but only within 7-10 working days. WHAT THE HELL? She attempted to appease me by saying "sometimes it comes a little early, just keep checking ma'am"...but how is that fair? They literally took my monthly credit card payment-what am I supposed to do now? Why should I have to wait because of their error? Not only that, it was electronically debited-they could easily return it, but are choosing to hold on to money THAT IS NOT RIGHTFULLY THEIRS.

We are being billed $17.95 every month and we can't get it stopped. The web sit on our statement brings us to this web site. This is a nightmare and our CC company says we have to go on line to stop it so here we are on line. So stop billing us.

I received a phone call from my credit card company on a card that I had zero’d out, cut and no longer dealt with (but was still active) and notified by them that there was a monthly charge of $21.20 occurring…and I had not made payments. I was not aware of any reoccurring monthly charges. I did not sign up for any credit monitoring service. I spoke with Christina with Experian Consumer Services. Initially (and once I had fussed enough) I was ‘allowed’ a credit for one month and the account was cancelled. I did not agree with crediting me for a month as I NEVER agreed to this. I asked for verifiable proof that it was indeed me that authorized these charges on my card. All they could say was the account was accessed in July and August of last year…no IP address or signature on file to research who would of authorized this (or who has my card number out there). I asked for the company name and address. They are Experian Consumer Services with a main branch in California – nothing to do with Experian itself; Christina would not give me address and told me that I would probably not reach anyone there. I asked where she was located: Overseas. I asked for verification that this was a company authorized to do business in the United States. I also stated that I would be filing complaints with a host of agencies. I was transferred to a manager named Marcy. She said she is the highest level of manager authorized to make decisions (so if you are too mousy, you end up settling for a one month credit)…all that woman was there for was to negotiate another refund…what about just a plain full refund? She agreed that the account has not been accessed since inception (as did Christina and her other manager Mischka) and said that the best she can do is give me a 6 month reimbursement. So they have taken $254.40 (plus interest on my credit card) without my permission, agree that this account was never utilized and I end up have to settle for 1/2 of what they took from me? This company is nothing but a way to steal people’s money…and the ones who complain a little louder on the theft will only get half their money back. I want the entire amount taken from me back on my credit card…not half! I want companies like this closed down…

Like everyone else I ordered what I thought was a free credit report. Only to find out a few months later they took 14.95 out of my account for months. I ordered a report from experians website not freecreditreport. I checked and they are the same company. I called and they refused to refund the money actually telling me to go to the site and see where it says it a trial. When i told them I ordered it on experian site and not freecreditreport site they told me they where the same company. Anyone wanting the numbers here they are [protected] or [protected] good luck

I dont want or need this service. Am unable to get this cancelled through my bank, and need that money.

I recently try to get my credit score but was not able to as I had a fraudulent case in my credit report. My credit report said address don't match and name don't match. I clear that withe Trans union credit bureau and I want to clear this issue withe equifax and experian credit bureau. I want to make sure all three credit bureaus have correct and updated information. Since my divorce last year my ex-husband kept thee house I still live here and my utility bills and driving license have same address which is 1319-227the avenue s.e. Sammamish, wa-98075. Also since last year I no longer go withe same name. My new name is - Szarein.Bad shah.kher this is my original name to begin with. When updating this info @trans union credit bureau I send them copy of my new name change, my utility bill and copy of my driving license and latest bank statement. They updated my information. I have to update with equifax and experian credit bureau. Can you please let me know what is the next step from hereon to update my information.

I JUST WENT INTO ONE OF MY CREDIT CARDS AND FOUND A CHARGE, I DO NOT REMEMBER . IT WAS FOR "INFO.EXPERIANDIRECT.CO" IN THE AMOUNT OF $47.58. PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS CHARGE TO ME. OR BETTER YET REVERSE THE CHARGES BACK TO MY ACC'T.

I too was unable to find the contact information to cancel my "membership" from Experian of which I was being billed $17.95 per month. After a lot of time and effort the number to cancel is: [protected]. They will try and try and make you continue your membership but I just wanted out. Good Luck!

Went to Experian website to get credit report and automatically got signed up for credit protection service I did not want. I thought I had followed all of the rules about cancelation, but still got a monthly charge that I didn't pick up until six months later. Ironic, the people who advertize a service to notify you of unautherized credit card use, uses your credit card to rip you off.

I went online to get my 3 free credit reports and was charged $24.95 and $39.95 for the reports, even though the website stated that the reports were free if you cancelled the membership within 9 days. I got the repports on 2/06 and cancelled on 2/10. That seems like within 9 days, but I guess I can't count. When I complained, they said I had used the service so I had to pay for it. I have sent letters to my credit card company and Experian's address given to me by the very nice but completely clueless operator I spoke with at Experian. We will see what comes of it. I have an attorney friend who may write a letter for me if needed.

In December I noticed a $1.00 pending charge from Experian. The charge dropped off, so I let the issue drop. Then about a few days ago, this $1.00 pending charge reappeared. I became concerned and ordered a new debit/credit check card, however I did not cancel my current one because I had several payments coming due that I automatically pay with this card. I wanted to wait for the new card to arrive first. The $1.00 charge dropped off. Today, I logged into my bank account and there was a charge for $19.95 from Experian described as recurring. I never went to any website for a credit report, free or otherwise. There is no reason I should have any charges made by them. My back is disputing the charge on my behalf. I had to pay $7.50 for a new bank check card in order to stop Experian from continuing to make this fraudulent charge.

In early January, I paid $1 for a credit report & credit score through Experian. Then, I found 2 charges for $17.95 on my credit card! One from mid-January, and the other from late February. I called my credit card company today to dispute the charges! I will NEVER use Experian again!

freecreditreport.com has charged me $31.90 cents without knowing me as membership subscription charges and $1.90 free credit history check on October 5, 2012 website. This this really cheating fraud without knowing customer how they charge any amount. After Inquiring with lady customer help desk. She nicely saying freecreditreport is free but you have seen three credit reports from three different service providers that's why they charged membership fee. This ridiculous, and there is no way to refund 31 dollars. I asked her to unsubscribe membership today.

Managed to cancel and get all $150.00 back that I never authorized them to deduct since December 2011.

If you get no where with the representative, be assertive and firm in what you are entitled to... a refund.

So after demanding my money back for about 20 minutes and requesting a supervisor and several refunds of only 1-2 payments I finally was given a full refund and still demanded to talk to her supervisor. Low and behold the supervisor informed me that all employees are to route supervisor requests immediately.

So all in all "Grace" will be getting corrective training and review.

You guys obviously know how to write, why not try reading before you enter your credit card info on a website? All of the credit reporting websites tell you they will charge $12-$30 per month if you don't cancel the subscription within the trial membership. It's very clear. Can't find the phone number to cancel? It's a google search away. When your parents told you nothing was free, did you think they were kidding you? THE REAL SCAM is that the scores they give you are not the scores that the bank uses. These websites just make up their own credit score. The credit scores are useless just like your ability to read the large bold print that says: recurring fee of $14.99 per month if not cancelled within the trial membership. Why am I writing this? Ya'll can't read anyways.

I would seriously advise against using Experian or Experian Direct services. They will not tell you what they are billing you for, and then will refuse to refund the charges when you dispute them. I signed up for their $1 trial and they linked me to another page. Apparently, accessing that page costs $33.95. Scam through and through.

Freecreditreport.com and experian.com use disguised 'opt-in' tactics to get people to peek at their credit rating once, then charge monthly $14.95 fees for as long as it takes for you to realize that it's happening. The call center in the Philippines is trained to brush off folks who want a refund. They are trained to avoid escalating the call to a supervisor. My lesson in all of this is to monitor my bills closely. Hope they didn't pilfer from you for too long. Call this number to cancel: [protected], but have all your info (credit card number, customer number, etc) ready.

I guess I am not the only one to have this happen to. I whole heartedly agree that they are a bunch of scam artists. I told them that I would put the word out in as many places as possible. I have already posted on facebook. They partially refunded and sent me that wonderful form letter. The manager I spoke to was also a jerk. They told me I had viewed the score back in June. I only received a message saying that the order couldn't be processed. The reason for the partial refund is that I "should have called when I first noticed the charges" to which I replied that is what I was doing. She pretty much told me that I was lying. What a way to treat consumers. It will be a very cold day in hell when I use them or recommend using them again!

This JUST happened to me yesterday. What a bunch of scam artists! I thought I was going to pay $1.00 for the report/score but when I checked my bank account online, lo and behold was the $14.95 charge! I had called about 15 minutes after I reviewed and printed my report/score to cancel any membership I may have been immediately signed up for (you don't get the option of not signing up for it) and the guy said "ok you're all set you should get a confirmation email within 24 hours." It is nearing the 24 hour mark and I havent gotten anything. If the $1.00 charge was all there was, fine, but $15.00?!?!? I called again (the number is: [protected] by the way) and the girl told me "you must have opted out of the free trial membership" I said, NO i did not i did everything the website asked for, got my report, then saw the $14.95 charge. Then she said something about "you're talking about experiendirect, not experian" which confused the hell out of me. Now i get ot write a freaking LETTER to california to [censor] about it. This one girl kept saying "you don't have any membership with us" to which I said, I knoiw, I cancled it 15 minutes ago. Then at the end of the conversation while she's telling me to write a letter, she says "and here's your membership number blah blah" and I said, so wait, you're telling me I am not a member of anything but I have a membership number? and she says "yeah, its not really a membership number, its a transaction number" so why is it CALLED A MEMBERSHIP NUMBER? wtf! anyway there is my rant! I have so much anxiety about this because if they keep charging me month after month I will be so PISSED! How can they do this to people? Douchbags!

Same thing happened to me. I am ticked about it. 14.95 has been charged without my knowing for I don't know how many months. I never signed up for anything, and I don't how it happened. How do we start a class action law suit. I think that we all should. This is fraudulent.
