I purchased a "gold" bracelet on iGavel that turned out to be fake. Despite fulfilling my obligations in informing the seller and iGavel themselves and returning the bracelet within the time period specified, I am still out over $2, 000. The seller kept the fake bracelet, and the founder of iGavel claims that I can't prove the bracelet I had tested and appraised as fake is the same one she sent me and I returned. The iGavel guarantee is an empty promise. If the founder won't stand behind it, and the sellers aren't properly vetted, it is nothing more than a marketing ploy. Unless you deal with one of the reputable long-term sellers on the site, beware.
