Deception and false charging
These people unknowingly charged me for their "identity protection service"-about $15 a month. I discovered through Google that, if you visit the site Spokeo.com (which calls itself a people search engine) and register for their trial membership, that they have embedded in their fine print your acceptance to also register and pay for Identity Force's "protection, " an unrelated service. I called Identity Force and they did refund me two months.
The irony of this is that Identity Force claims to be a service that protects you from theft of your identity and personal information. Yet, here they are engaged in deceptively obtaining your personal information in order to get your money. Identity Force is clearly aware of the problem-they actually have a dedicated phone line for unknown charges on your credit card. Have you seen such a thing anywhere else? I haven't.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
false charging
i was charged for services not rendered on [protected] they charged my acct. 14 95 US dollars. I do not ever remember that I have placed an order for such sevice
For 8 months I received a charge of 14.95. Signed up with SPOKEO PREMIUM and they gave my credit card information to IDENTITY FORCE illegally. Never once did I sign up for Identity Force and they are relunctant to reverse charges or help me in any way. Both companies are passing off the blame to each other and nothing seems to ever get resolved. I think it is time to contact 7 on your side. Companies like this need to be exposed for their bad practices.
I agree, they just charge my credit card with out telling me that they were charging me for a last year service that I never used It is a scam. It is a very bad business practice. Now I am waiting for the refund but i will posted if I get it or not. So far looks that I lost it.
I had the same problem, and called their number. I had signed up for Spokeo.com, and when you give them your credit card information, they automatically enroll you in Identity Force. It feels like a scam, or at least a misrepresentation. It's all there in the small print if you look for it. $14.95 a month, to your credit card, for a service you didn't want. That's bad business practice, but they were quick to refund my cash.

I signed up for a free trial with Smarter Credit aka " IDENTITY FORCE", memberservices@smartercredit.com or contact # [protected] and have a pending charge of $14.95. I blocked my card and they better drop that charge. I am very upset about this and hope it gets resolved real quick!
Same thing have happened with me and i am being charged since last four months from my Credit Card. I too have subscribed spokeo for once but i have never puchases anything from identityforce. Dear friend please let me know where did you contact to get your money back.. Thanks
