ICore Canada phone calls-harrssment

All i can say is how is it that a company can call leaving an automated message to call a 1800 number. They call odd hours, numerous times leaving same message to call, but no name of whom they want or why...just this is icore canada call 1800...there doesn't seem to be away to get your name off a list, thought they as a company had to by law . What is it they want, or who ? Please explain how they are able to harass people with annoying calls...pretty much sick of this crap!

This company keeps calling but don't say a word. The number that shows up over and over again is [protected].1752. They call my cell and it's not free to answer.. I ignore the calls most of the times but sometimes answer without looking. Atleast if someone was to talk I could try to figure out why they are calling... WOW Just wait till the day someone opens their mouth and I tell them they are responsible for my phone bill!

I get calls from Icore Canada every day. When I answer the phone there is no one there. They call at all hours from [protected] EVERY day and they leave messages to call them back. I don't know who they are and what they want. Is there a way to block this number from calling me? I am on disability, not in good health and they disturb me all the time.

ICore Canada Harassment

This company keeps calling me with a computerized message asking me to call them back. I have NO collection issues, and when I called back today 1 minute after they called me, I was told it was after business hours, and to call back during business hours. If it's after business hours, then why are they calling me?

These guys with the auto dialer with message to call ICORE Canada regarding IMPORTANT Business Matter are way too much to tolerate. They are ignorant when speaking to requesting WHY they are calling. We all have similar stories and perhaps with group efforts we can take these A**holes out of business. In BC we have some options to deal with this type of call, imagine the same exists in other provinces. Here is a "Reference only" link for BC residents.

An amount that was already paid on a ticket to the city of London was forwarded by the city of London to Icore Canada. I have confirmed with the City of London that the account is paid and up to datea and they said they have notified ICore of this. This was confirmed two weeks ago yet after explaining this to ICORE they continue to call everyday- 7 days a week.

Icore Canada has been calling me at least twice a day for over a month wanting me to verify personal information.
Date of birth / Address... etc... which I have not done.
I insisted that if they were a legit company the could mail me anything I needed from them, and they begin to yell at me, and insisted that they would continue to call until I give in.
I've logged complaints with the Anti-Fraud, and Do Not Call List companies, and filed a police complaint.
This is insane - People should not be subjected to this kind of treatment.

A guy naming himself Mr. Mo lepta on caaling us in Montreal saying he is a rep from my school loan, I started paying them then stopped due to my financial crisis, I told them that I can't pay for now let me start again later, threats had started then, phone call after another saying that this is the last warning and you have to pay the full amount, do these people have ant sort of a functioning brain when you tell them you can't and welling to pay just slower ?

They don't only harrass you but they treat you as if you've got no choice but to comply or else

Can someone or some agency monitor these people?

ICore Canada Phone harrassment

This company is contiuously calling my wifes' cell phone! They are irritating and persistent. They keep asking for someone neither of us has heard of. I asked to be removed from the list last night about 5pm, and they called again at 9:15pm. This morning there was another call. They said that they spoke to someone at this number previously who told them that whoever they are looking for has moved to Mexico! This is a brand new activation on the cell phone, so I guess this person had this number before? I hate these people...

This company has been calling my retired parents for MONTHS! They get this recorded message, that VERY quickly says Icore Canada, call us blah blah blah and hangs up!
They had no idea who or why this company was calling. Finally today I googled the company and found they are a collections company. Having done Collections myself, I know the rules of this. Call them, tell them you don't know who they are and want to know why they are calling. Once you find out.. you can tell them to STOP calling. No matter who they think you are or if they have the correct one.. if you tell them to stop calling they must comply!

ICore Canada psychic expectations

We have been receiving messages all hours of the day, 3 to 4 times a week for 2 years. The messages simply state, "This is I-Core Canada, it is really important that you call us back right away." These calls never say who they are asking for. There are six people living in this house. Two adults and our four adult children. Tonight, November 25, 2009 I finally decided to call them back and have been doing this repeatedly. I have been asking them what they want. They say they want my phone number, I tell them "NO", you expect us to be psychic, then you have to be psychic too! Then they tell me that they are a financial company. So I ask them for a LOAN! They tell me no, you have to pay us. I say for what? and they respond "tell us who you are?" At this point they either hang up or I hang up. I also keep asking them if they are familiar with the "National Do Not Call Registry, to which they respond "never heard of that, what is it? How do I get these people to stop calling. My wife and I and our adult children have Credit Beacon scores in excess of 700. We pay our bills and owe nothing. Who are these people and why do they keep calling.

ICore Canada RUDE

I have been receiving mysterious automated calls at least four times a week at all hours of the day saying "This is Icore Canada...its really important that you call us back blah blah" so finally I called them back to figure out what the heck they wanted and when the guy answered they wouldn't give me any information unless I gave them MY information (name, phone number, etc.) so I asked what their company does and he was very vague saying "risk management" in a VERY rude tone so then when I asked what that meant he told me to "GOOGLE IT"...are you kidding me?! They have no right to be calling me if they're not going to tell me anything about who they are or what they do when I've done what they asked and called them back. This is rediculous.

This place has been calling me for about 1 month. It's pissing me off to no end. It happens at all times of day and night. How do I get these ### off of our list? I can't take any-more stress in my life. I couldn't call them back because the automation voice says the phone number so fast, and only once. They should be charged.

ICore Canada Unscroupulous collection method

My brother lives in Korea. We worry about him soetimes because he's so far away. Someone named Catherine calls and leaves a message in a very serious tone of voice saying. "I am looking for the next of kin for...", then leaves a number for me to call back with no details. When I call back no-one answered so I thought my brother was dead. I called my other brother to tell him I thought our brother was dead and he had me look up the name. When I did a search on Icor, the first thing that came up was this website with complaints about their collection practices. I am still waiting to see if my brother is okay because no-one from Icore is calling me back, after leaving such an awfull message.

Recieved a 'garbled' msg on my work/home line today. Only disernable part was the phone number& ext #. Called, was greeted by the standard answering msg and prompted to call ext# if I had one. Done. Things learned A) I-[protected] is I CORE CANADA. B) ext# 4071426 is Mrs Hissans line. Of course, lights are on but no ones home so hopped on ye'ol internets to learn a little more of this fine CANADIAN firm. Well hello, no WWW. but a lot of P/O'D folks, what a shock. Collection agency eh, nice. Another one for the boat ride folks, No debt to anyone, but a friend who happens to be a Bankruptcy trustee. Should they call back, thinkin this could have some entertainment value if nothing else. She's NASTY ! Anyhoo, last mention of problems with this latest collection of clowns to hit the phone lines was a while ago so not sure if anyones keep'n track. My sympathy to anyone whose had to endure these clowns, once in a bad way myself, endured a few legitimate collection calls, not fun.

Are you on Canada's National Do Not Call list?

If not, get on it. Here: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/insnum-regnum-eng

It takes a few weeks (3 wks to a month I think) for it to kick in.

However, once it kicks in if they continue to call you, then you report them.

Company's you have or still do business with have the right to continue calling you. Currently companies can be stopped by having them remove you from their call list, unless it is a specific problem with your account. Companies you no longer do business with but have done business with during the past 18 months may call you for up to 18 months after your association with them has ended.

Make sure you keep track of the phone numbers that these calls are coming from - you'll need that to file a report. The page I linked above has a place to file complaints as well.

The DNCL has actually (and finally) begun to work for us. We got on when it first came out, however there seemed to be some problems with the early list because we got MORE calls after signing on. A couple of months back I rechecked the list and our name and number was missing, so I signed on again. Last month, almost all our telemarketing calls just stopped. Only one company has called after the list kicked in - they called twice, two days in a row. The first day I requested no more calls and reminded them to check the DNCL list. The second day, I told them again about the DNCL list and told them if I received one more call from them, I'd report their number and company. There are hefty fines for ignoring the list.

To date, I haven't received any more calls from them.

Good luck.

ICore Canada unsolicited phone call

I receive phone calls from icore Canada with a message to call them back - there is no mention as to what they are calling about or what icore Canada's business is all about. From what I can see online from other disturbed recipients of these calls is that it is an annoyance and I have better things to do with my time than spend over an hour on the phone on hold?

I joined the do-not-call program so I am curious as to how this company can still call me.

All companies should have full disclosure as to what their business is and what business they have calling! When is this going to be regulated?

Just to be VERY CLEAR, the company sending out harassing phone calls is IQOR http://www.iqor.com/ not ICORE. iQor made up that crap name so no one could find them and would look under other names.

iQor is an international collection agency that has been annoying people around the world for years. iCore is a 100% legitimate part of the Alberta government that gives out grants to graduate students and professors.

Please stop confusing the two. iQor is trying to confuse you, so don't fall for it.

If someone calls you and claims to be from "iQor Canada, " know that they are LYING TO YOU. They are NOT in Canada.

And I know I keep posting this same message, but I know someone who works at the not-a-telemarketing company. And the calls they get all day about IQor just makes me sick.

How to stop calls for good.

This company is harassing. The Canadian Gov. should be monitoring this and charging them with harassment. They don't care they have a wrong number. Call them and tell them you are Icore Canada and listen to them get confused.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO STOP THE CALLS... ask your cell phone provider to suspend your phone number for a few days or a week if possible, up to two weeks and it will click the computer call system to stop the calls and read the number is no longer in service. You can get a loaner phone and different number during this time. Inconvenient yes but it does work. Inform friends and business associates to email and you will call them back. Its a short time to have the loaner if it stops the calls.

Call Steven Harper and tell him to make phone companies responsible to reveal all call numbers. Ask him to lay charges against any company that makes unsolicited repeat harassing calls. A lot of other international companies are using Skye and no number can be traced. This is going to continue to increase and these illegitimate call centre companies will continue to harass. Harper stop Canadians from being harassed by call centres outside of Canada or from any call centre.

If someone has a legitimate debt owing, why would they not mail and talk the people to court. Because they will never do that, its not worth their time and money so they harass in hopes it will drive people to pay. Just leave them in your dust and move on.

This company hides its number and there is no way to trace them or the number of calls. Any company that has to do business like that is obviously corrupt. Keep a detailed log of these harassing calls. I suggest keeping a log for a couple of weeks, then suspending your phone and get a loaner phone for that time which will have a different cell number, then after two weeks, revert back to your phone. FINALLY, EVERYONE CALL ICORE CANADA SEVERAL TIMES EACH DAY FROM ANOTHER PHONE AND HARASS THEM. IF ITS A MASS CAMPAIGN THEY WILL LOOSE MONEY BY NOT COLLECTING ANY CALLS WHO THEY MANAGE TO HARASS WITH DEBTS AND THEIR EMPLOYEES WILL BE TIED UP ON DEAD CALLS.

The Senior VP of IQor Canada, who is making all of these calls is Jim Shaw. The details about this business, address, phone, and consumer ombudsman is listed on the Better Buiness Bureau site at: http://www.bbb.org/kitchener/business-reviews/call-centres/iqor-canada-limited-in-north-york-on-1030626
Ironically they have an A+ rating, yet I too am tired of the calls and wish to file a complaint. But BUYER BEWARE, the BBB is a useless organization as well. All they are is a messenger service between you and the company you have a complaint registered against, and don't offer any assistance whatsoever to get you your deserved retribution for bad treatment by these companies. You're best to seek legal action.

As a collections company, they must obey when you tell them to stop calling. If not you can report them to the better business bureau. It is not one of those companies on the do not call list. Don't get collections mixed up with telemarketing. Telemarketers cannot call for 3 years from the date they first put you on the list, you have to keep reupping to keep on the do not call list. As a collections company they can call you even if you are on the do not call list, it is not telemarketing, it is collections. However, know your rights about collections.. and know that they must stop calling once told to do so.

Call [protected]

Read this to the Person picking up the Phone at ICORE Canada:

" Please be advised this call is recorded for Quality Assurance Purpesos.
May i have your Full Name and your Phone Number please. "

Regardless what the Person will say to you it will not be there Full Name or Phone Number so read this next to them:

"Sir/Miss i can NOT help you if you do NOT cooperate! First i need to know your Full Name and your Phone Number to know if i can disclose any further Information with you!"

Than just repeat untill they hang up:

"I need your Full name and Phone number to be able to help you. You need to cooperate you can not hide forever you owe us an explanation."

...or get lucky and wright there phone number and full name down and start calling them at home with the same story.

Cheers

ICore Canada Harassment due to ongoing phone calls

Paid a Shaw Cable bill 3 months ago and faxed payment recepts 3 times. Also Shaw Cable faxed payment in full. I continue to receive ongoing phone calls for the past 3 months 3 to 4 times a week informing me to pay a $56.95 bill which has already been paid. They continue to phone at all times of the day and I can hear laughing in the backgroud 'like what they are doing is all a joke!'

Harassment due to ongoing phone calls

Before careful of Icore Canada ! And Fido cell phone company.
Some how Icore got my cell # from Fido. They have been calling my house for the past 2 years, regarding a tenant which she had move out long time ago. I kept telling them that she was no long @ the address, but Icore Canada still kept calling. This morning, Icore Canada call my cell phone. There is no way that Icore could of have my cell phone #. So I call Fido, Fido said they can't do any thing. For sure, Fido had slip information out, otherwise Icore would have no way calling my cell phone. I think I will change my cell phone company, Fido being so irresponable !

For the longet time i have been receiving calls at very innapropriate hours from this company for a previous collection to the person with this number. after 8 months of receiving calls while i slept during the day (becuase i work overnight) and have been receiving calls for later than 10 PM, when i finally called to sort the issue out the representative presented himself in a way that he was not pleased to be recieving the call, nor did he seem happy when i told him it was a wrong number. the representative simply then said okay in a rude tone and hung up on me, when i called back to voice my concerns about the employee i was simply told that they were sorry in the most unsincere voice and simply said have a nice day and hung up, personally creditors shoud be more polite to people the arent collecting from especially since its a few phone calls to their supervisors.

I have been having [protected] call me at least three times a day for the past 4 days, usually starting at 830am! After reading the previous comment, I decided to call back as there were never messages left. This lady answered with just a hello, where I stated that I've had this number call repeatedly. I gave my phone number 3 times before she got it right for her to say her system wasn't working and so she couldn't say why they were calling me. She said she has no way to know if I'm the right person or not, where I asked right person for what? What does this company do? She stuttered and just said she couldn't say as the system was down. Well, what does the company do? I can't stay on the line much longer, to call back. I asked to be taken off the list and hung up. Sounds sketchy to me! I most definitely did not get any information given to me and she sounded flustered. I mean couldn't even tell me what the company even does. Be careful!

We had a Company by the Name of ICore Canada calling my Husband as well trying to supposedly collect or a Roger's Dept they claimed he owed. Neither of us was even sure of this dept and told them to mail us the information and we will sort through it to prove it to be legit before sending any money to them. They continued to call and hang up. One time they called and I answered the phone. After a few minutes I managed to get the name of the company which was Icore Canada out of the man and told him we had already spoken to someone and are waiting on paperwork to be sent to us. I also informed him that if the calls continued that I was going to have the phone number traced to be sure if it was legit. His tune immidiately changed. He then offered to take us off the call list. Collection agencies do not have a call list. After hanging up I recalled the phone number to a woman answering and I had asked her for there better business bureau number. She set down the phone for roughly 5 minutes then hung up. Then I had a friend call and he asked for the same information. They refused to give it and also once again stated that they would take us off the call list. Please be careful when dealing with this company because they may not be legit. We are in the current process of reporting this company. And have so far not recieved another call from them in the past 4 days or so. The number that keeps calling us is [protected]

Shannon 555 of course you had no problem with them, they now have your number and will sell it. They do not adhere to the DNCL. I have no debt never have and they continued to call for over a year on my cell. I finally blocked all 12 numbers----it took me a year to amass that list and now I see 2 more new ones. By calling back you fed right into their scam.

I've been getting calls from iCore (or iQor - not sure which) but they said they are a financial agency. I've gotten about 20 calls from them on-and-off since Aug 2010. [protected] is the number they were calling from. I like the repeated call back approach as well as the script posted above. Thanks for that.

This I core place has called my house 8 times in one day with no explanation as to why they are calling. We need the government or the ISP's to step in and shut them down

I just got my cell number last weekend and I received my first call within hours. I don't know why everyone has been having issues with them. I finally actually was present when they called and simply called them back on my work phone. The gentleman I talked to was polite and professional and immediately removed my number from their listing and apologized. He was actually surprised by how quickly I received the phone call. Of course, we shall see if they truly removed me, but I had no issues at all with rude customer service.

The number they called me from was [protected]

Today is now Dec2/2010 I have been going thru this with them since 2009! They said I owed for a phone account from ten years ago. I got ahold of the phone company and they tell me there is no record of this at all. They tell me to get ahold of Icore, so I do and they give me the run around! I ask for some form of proof or a statement of some kind and nothing, then they tell me to get ahold of the phone company. Well this is destroying my credit! What do I do?

If anyone knows how to resolve this issue or knows any legal steps I can take please send me a Email @ steveandida@hotmail.com
