My husband had a credit card that was past due. After he passed away, I was attempting to resolve all of his and my outstanding debts. When I called the credit card bank, I was told that this account was already placed into collections with IC Systems and they gave me their phone number to call. My first contact with ICS went very smoothly. I talked to an account manager named Jeff and he gave me a settlement amount to pay which was a around a hundred dollars less than the outstanding balance. I had not received a notice in the mail yet from IC systems, so I sent the payment directly to the credit card company. I called IC Systems back and they confirmed that the payment had been received and the balance was paid in full. I asked for a confirmation letter, and they agreed to send one.

A few days later, I received the first "bill" from IC Systems. It was for the full amount. I called them back and was told that there was no documentation of any settlement on this account. That I had made the payment to the credit card company, so therefore I MUST have made the settlement with them. She was very rude and kept talking over me, threatening to hang up on me, etc. She said I would have to fax a letter from the credit card company saying THEY accepted the settlement agreement amount.

I looked again at my notes from the first phone call and noticed that I had indeed called IC Systems for the settlement. When I made first contact with the credit card company, they told me that they had turned this over for collection and gave me their number to call to make arrangements.

I called IC Systems back again, they still refuse to acknowledge that I paid the settlement amount, said there was NEVER a settlement amount.

I called IC Systems again the next day, and the Account Manager happened to answer the phone, and he VERIFIED to me over the phone that yes, he saw that it was a settlement, and yes it was paid in full. When I asked for a letter of verification he put me on hold.

Then the collection manager picked up I told Megan that I had been talking with Jeff and she denied that Jeff EVER told me those things on the phone. It is just a headache and a run around and they lie to your face and it is so frustrating!

I also have had a very bad experience with IC Systems. I received a call from this agency the week of Christmas regarding an old Dr office call bill. I explained to the woman who called me that first of all I was currently unemployed due to closing business I had worked for and secondly it was an unapid debt because I had been trying to get my health insurance to pay it. My insurance had first denied it because they said it was medically unnecessary to have seen a specialist and when I had appealed that they had come back with that the referral from my primary physician had been done incorrectly. While trying to explain this she kept interrupting me and talking over me. In frustration I finally said to her look, I really don't have it right now, Christmas is in a few days and I haven't even been able to do for my family for Christmas due to my job loss. At this time she got personal - told me I was a deadbeat who didn't pay my bills, people like me didn't deserve to have a Christmas- I asked to speak with her supervisor repeatedly - she just kept talking over me - firing questions at me - like what was I going to do if I got sick - go to the DR and not pay them either - things like that - I kept asking for a supervisor and suddenly she said - I'm tired of arguing with you - I'm not going to argue with you anymore, and hung up on me. I was left standing there crying and shaking with the phone in my hand. Several weeks later I was contacted my them again, told the guy who called that my circumstances had not changed - I was having trouble just paying my regular bills - I was sorry but until my circumstances changed I still did not have the money right now - he was relentless - I finally agreed to make a small monthly payment each month to clear it up and that is what I am currently struggling to do. Each time I send a payment I know that I am that much closer to being done with these people, but I also know that I will continue to pay for it for a long time as it will be on my credit report.

IC uses harrasment to try to get you to pay debts that are proven to be not owed!! I have talked to them at least 50 times on the phone.. told them point blank this was not my debt, they said they have it on the computer as to my position on this mater and that if i dont pay it anyway there gonna keep calling!, they call aprox 4 times a day and never answer the phone when i pick up! since its out of state i cant use a call block on them! Now i just call them back everytime they call and dont answer them! if they want to waste my time harrasing, im going to waste theres also!

I am also being called by IC systems over someone else's debt who's name is the same as mine and lived in the same geographical area. I have told them many times they have the wrong person and I have never had a credit card from the company the debt is owed to. They continue to harass me on the phone and when they don't want to answer any questions they hang up. I ask for a supervisor but she is in the restroom or not available. They hide behind the telephone and refuse to give their names or corporate contact numbers. I have asked many times to talk to a manager but they don't seem to have any management.

I received a call from IC System INC yesterday. It was about a doctors bill that I had, that was outstanding. The day before I got the letter I had written to the doctor to see if they could reduce my bill.

I told the girl who called me my "story" she really didn't care and was really rude to me. I told her, "I just don't have the money right now" she said, "do you work?" I said "no I do not" she then said to me.. "most people have a job".. I was so angry, she has no idea of my situation. I then said a few nasty things to her, and she said some more nasty things to me and I hung up.( I really wish I had gotten her name)

Then I was crying and very upset..so I called back to speak to someone else..I spoke with a guy named Paul, he was actually very nice. Now my original bill from the doctor was for $920.00, but the bill from IC was for $1550. So I told Paul this, and he said to contact the doctor, and then get back to him. Then I started to cry and tell him I was VERY angry about my conversation with the girl, and he asked if I wanted to speak to a manager..I said yes..

Then another idiot got on the phone, and I told him what she said said about the "job"..he asked me if that was a fair statement .. told him no I do not think she should say that to me, she has no idea if I am dying right now and can't work.. he then told me that I couldn't be dying if I had walked into the doctors office..Then he asked how I pay my other bills, like my phone bill. I told him it was none of his business. He kept harassing me about it, so I told him that I sell drugs, cocaine, crack.. Then he said to me, " who am I going to have to call to get this money your parents? " I said they were both dead, you **kin idiot".. I then said a few more nasty things and hung up..I was shaking and crying, and really they have no right to do that to, me..

The I called the doctors office and we settled on $500.00

IC Systems is really a nasty collection agency.. I understood I owed the debt, but they do not handle it correctly.. They do have a website, but it doesn't have a presidents email, and really I doubt they care how they treat us..It's really sad.. I am going to write an letter of complaint though..

I too am getting these calls and when you answer the phone they hang up so about a month ago I decided to call them back and they are calling the wrong person. They have my name but the wrong address and the wrong SS number so I told them then to take my number out of their system and they said they would but I am still getting 3 to4 calls a day and it is not even for me. Does anyone have the address of this place? Anyone that s being harassed by these people if you have an address ;you can send them a certified DO NOT CALL LETTER. The FTC says they have to stop calling at that point or they can be sued. So please does anyone have an address.

They keep calling for Danielle. For a phone in my name. I tell them she doesnt own the phone. They said Im off their calling list. Yet I get 2 calls later to the number and a call to my other phone.

I talked to their "supervisor" dan. and he was a jerk. As was the lady I first spoke with who called me a lewd name.

I have been called by I.C Systems, In, as it comes up on my caller I.D., 6 time in 9 days at all different times of the day... most calls I have not been home for and they did not leave any message I have chose not to answer a few times thinking it was just a solicitation. Since they never leave a message it can't be important right? Tonight when the name came up I answered and the fax picked up... My husband has his business fax on our home line because all he uses is a cell phone... SO if they are trying to collect they don't talk... but I know all my bills are paid so I don't see why they would be calling... If they are looking for someone else which others have mentioned then they should at lest leave a message.... Why would they be faxing? What are they doing? trying to solicit business- do they want to be of service to my husbands business-? we'll never know because they fax doesn't come through either! As far as I can tell they are an annoyance!

I've dealt w/IC Systems Inc before. Unfortunately, we've had some financial troubles. The only problem we had was that they called my in-laws @ there home. They tried to tell me that my husband gave them there phone number. I work for a large loan company in the address & phone number dept. I know how "Skiptracing" works.

I answered the phone one day & spoke w/a gentlemen. When the conversation started, he tried to tell me that my husband gave them the phone number. As soon as I told I knew for a fact that he didn't & know how collections works, he changed his tune. I was able to settle w/them.

There are some people that are just rude when you speak w/them. Just my honest opinion.

Well with me, I live with my mother and this guy calls my house sometimes, I asked them who they are and what they want. They said they want to talk to my cousin. I said to them she does not even live with us or nothing, so they said that we are her nearest relative and we said, we will give you her parents number and they said nothing, then we asked who are you.

And what do you want with her and because you have been calling here I would like to know, what you want with her. They hung up on us.

I.C Systems have called several times to talk with my husband and until I looked them up on the internet and saw they were a collection agency. I refused to let them talk to my husband because they would not tell me what they wanted or why they were calling. They also tried talking over me as well and was VERY VERY rude to me. After arguing with me, he told me he would call back until my husband answered the phone. They need to take a coarse on manners, they are not getting anywhere with people using that attitude.

Looks like my doctor's bill was sent to collection through them and nobody contacted me, but it shows zero balance on my credit report...

I.C. calls me about 7 times a day-no kidding. I answered the first several, told them to send me the information via the mail, as I know I owe the debt (200 about) and that I wanted to pay, but was not able. They would call later the same day. I guess my situation changed in an hour or two? They start calling at 8:00, and call right at the cutoff time in the evening. I used to answer most of the calls, if only to tell them I already talked to someone, but I answer and GET PUT ON HOLD!! ridiculous, since they called me "please hold, we have an important message for you". I have sent them a certified do not call letter, and I will be agressive in suing THEM if they continue, then they can pay that $200, lol!!! And they never mailed me anything. (I may not practice, but I did go to law school, and know my rights when it comes to this!!)

i've been getting two calls a day every day for over a year now
tonight i finally looked up the number 651-204-1341 on the internet and found out about the great ethical ic system.

this is all because i owe ebay about $40.

here is what you can do

from the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
Section 805(c) -- Ceasing collection calls and communication

Once debt collection agents receive written notice from a consumer that he or she refuses to pay the debt or wants the collection agent to stop further collection efforts, the agent must cease any further communication with the consumer except

"(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collection agency's further efforts are being terminated;

(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collection agency or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collection agency or creditor; or

(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collection agency or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy."

1. Communicating
For purposes of this section, the term "communicate" is given its commonly accepted meaning and includes phone calls and messages. Thus, the section applies to contacts with the consumer related to the collection of the debt, whether or not the debt is specifically mentioned. [53 Fed. Reg. 50104]

2. Request for payment.
When responding to a "cease communication" notice from you they may not include a demand for payment! Their response is limited to the three statutory exceptions outlined above.

Just started receiving a dozen calls a day from these people, who talk over you and refuse to state the reason for the call, I never verify who I am with callers I do not know, so they have been very rude with me and this evening out of curiosity I stayed on the line - 1st call that was automated - finally someone starts to talk and says he will call until I say who I am, verify address etc. So they will be calling forever, because unless they tell me what I.C.Systems is, I am giving them nothing. I know I have no debt that would need a collection agency involvement. A reputable company would state their business and also send written communication also. Obviously a trashy company

I too have received numerous calls from this company. I didnt know for what until I called up my credit card company (WAMU) and was told in a voice prompt that my account was referred to IC Systems and they gave me the number. I saw the area code and realized it was the same number that has been flooding my cell phone. I dont deny that I am late with payments but why cant I deal with my credit card company? And does this mean I dont have a card anymore? When I called, the guy who answered wanted my SS# right away- I had no idea who he was!! I really didnt want to give it to him but felt intimidated by his response to my hesitation. Then he continued to treat me like an incompetent idiot baraging me with assaults to my intelligence. I was overwhelmed and shouted "Hold on" and he came back at me saying I was 'screaming like a child' I realized at that moment I was NOT going to get anywhere with this man and did NOT have to listen to his verbal abuse, so I hung up. All this was so uncalled for since I did want to pay my credit card bill. It was quiet for a day and today they started once again -- HA they are calling again now!!! When I do answer the call I get put on hold--go figure! I'm going to write to WAMU to see if I can resolve this with them. Even if I can't, I can be another voice telling them about IC Systems unprofessionalism. If enough people complain to ICs clients then maybe they'll get the drift.

I have recieved numerous calls from this company over a period of several months. I have either not answered(didn't recognize the number) or when I did it was dead silence and I hung up; that is until today. I answered and waited, finally a woman came on and asked for a person(gave the name) this person does not live here, never has---My husband and I are responsible only for us and no one else and the calls need to stop because we can not help you in your search for the person you are trying to contact. Being rude never is an answer to settling a problem, although the lady I spoke with today was polite.

My mother and I have the same name and IC Systems sent my mother's collection debt to my credit report. I called to I C System when I first saw the collection and they finally agreed it was my mother's debt. However, they said they couldn't do anything about it until the debt was paid. I told I C System to have a spanish speaking representative call my mother in the afternoon. Today, I receive a phone call at 8 a.m. by a representative demanding the payment. I told them I was aware of the payment because they had but the debt on the credit report and i wanted them to please remove it and asked them to PLEASE call my mother in the afternoon (as I had originally asked them to do). She said that I C Systems putting the information on my credit was irrelavent. I told her it wasn't irrelavent because its affecting my credit. I also told her that my mother was aware and was going to pay the debt but to please call my mother in the afternoon. So, the EXTREMELY RUDE representative told me, you are not going to tell me what to do and hung up on me.
